We stayed here for to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Our room was so neat and clean. It was fun to shop in the close stores. And the staff delivered excellent customer service.

Great location - free parking and no need for a car during the stay. So many shops, good restaurants and places to hang out.

It's one of my favorites when I visit Houston. Nice rooms and views of Houston. It's quiet and safe. Just don't like paying for fast speed internet which is $15 a night. Wasn't like this before they remodeled but I get it in business aspect. Just not good if you're trying to stream on your own device. Also when taking a shower the water took about 7 min to get hot. Other than that the staff is great, friendly and efficient.

Love and hate this hotel

I have such a love hate relationship with this hotel. Love the location and ease to so much to do. We did a staycation and loved the nearness to so much that we didn’t have to drive to! But…the hotel is stupid expensive. And they upcharge for everything. Don’t breathe too much air or you’ll get a bill for the extra oxygen. They are in renovations and it’s winter so there’s no real in hotel amenities to take advantage of, but yet you get an amenity charge of $25/day. They bamboozle you and give you a $20 hotel credit but it’s tough to use and comes with hidden fees. Example: we got coffee and 1 order of breakfast tacos delivered for breakfast one day thinking it would likely be just slightly over the $20/day credit. Wrong. It ended up being over $60 for mediocre tacos and coffee. Then they tried to deny our credit at check out. It was not worth it. There’s also the huge factor of who you are talking to - one front desk supervisor was awesome and helpful and caring and the other made me want to slap him because he was so frustrating (the guy in front of me definitely walked away frustrated after his encounter with this guy). They took forever in check out because the charges were wrong (i had 2 drinks in the bar and that ill-fated room service breakfast) and somehow I still got an additional charge on my credit card after the $300/night daily charge + $100/day incidentals. What?! Can’t wrap my head around it. Overall, likely my last visit. Not worth it.

Wonderful hotel in great location. Comfortable beds, lovely & clean. Awesome shower! Staff friendly. Hotel restaurant has wonderful staff & excellent menu.

The food was not good. We had room service and the staff were nice but food zero stars. We used DoorDash the rest of the time. Room was clean but I guess I expected nicer. Two buckets to catch water from the ceiling were in hallway. Somebody down the hall was chiefing and the smell was strong so not what I was expecting.

The phone in the room didnt ring to front desk & pool closes at 8pm. Front person had no access or support staff.

The area the hotel is located is nice...shopping, great restaurants and you can easily get to downtown or 610. My only negative is the hotel is currently under renovation, and I wasn't aware of that prior to booking, so none of the hotel amenities were accessible. Luckily, we only had one night booked or this would have been a very disappointing stay.

Checkin was smooth and parking was convenient. We had a wonderful view from our room as we celebrated our anniversary & NYE! They also gifted us with a bottle of wine and gave a $20 credit to be used during our stay.

It wass convenient to walk to get good, play games, etc.

Lovely stay, but price jumped from hotel.com pricing to hotel pricing, and destination fee are already calculated on receipt of hotel.com web reservation receipt. Agreed to pay 398. on reservation, charged 536.70 at hotel. Just be aware of fees.

Excellent location, friendly staff, clean room with an optional bar, room service.

Location is great . Property under construction so that was a set back over all good experience. One thing needs improvement is air line shuttle to Hotel from international Airport.

Parking is terrible, very inconvenience

Great location

The room was fine, comfortable and clean. The location is the biggest perk in the middle of City Centre

This place is filled with too much traffic! It can also be very Noisy with loud cars and trucks cruising the narrow little strrets every weekend night!! Plus, there is also an Exotics car place somewhere in the City Centre and is always loud with engines revving that often reverberates and echo throughout the parking garage and can be heard everywhere throughout City Center property, especially on high floors in the hotel on most early weekday mornings! Another annoying issue is that the front desk rarely answers the phone. However, the hotel staff are very nice, but they do not always follow through on what they say they will do. Be sure to check your bill for billing errors. This hotel was undergoing renovations for a long time without much progress. And there were no discounts or extra perks given to guests for such inconveniences during renovations! The hotel rooms are lacking and do not reflect any luxury updates and are lacking in luxury items of any kind.

Enjoy the area it’s located in. I’ve been staying there regularly for two years observing all the upgrading to the entire facilities. Beautiful redo of all rooms and facilities.

Not worth the price

For the price this hotel was not worth it. Rooms were decent. The shower was clogged, had to use the second room we had for my in laws to bathe the kids for the night. LOTS of construction made getting in and out a hassle. Elevators took forever

Wanted to love it but.....

I loved the location but the hotel was a let down. Key essentials were missing from our room, i.e. soap, no iron but had an ironing board. The bed was not very comfortable and the sheets felt like paper. Would like to give this place another try but wouldn't pay what I paid the first time.

The Moran had ongoing construction during my stay. While I was out of my room construction workers left my room unlocked and unattended while my computers were in the open as well as client data containing social security numbers. Front desk and management seemed to care less when I complained.

Property is under renovations. Will try again in the future.

The front desk agent was nice. The room was nice. The loudness was horrible, all night. The hotel cannot control that but I didn’t sleep at all. Breakfast is pricey but good. The service was abysmal, I bussed all our dirty dishes to the table next to us. The server gave coffee and refilled once. They all watched me removing dishes myself. Will not stay here again.

Currently under renovations so it wasn't as convenient. But the property and location is nice and clean. Bed was low to the ground and a bit harder than I like but I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Meh. Used to be a cute boutique hotel...

I was over charged from website. Parking was crazy. Was awakened at 0730 on a Saturday by a LEAF blower that went on for an hour. Gave me a headache. Awful way to start a day.

This was such a great stay

The check in was horrible. They did not acknowledge that we had 2 suits and were different. They gave us two basic suits The reception had nobody to answer the phone calls. This is just day one, I have one more day to go.

Had another great stay at the Moran. It’s in such a great area with shopping and restaurants in walking distance. They were undergoing a bit of construction for renovation but it didn’t hinder the stay at all.

Property and staff were great. The location is ideal for walking and enjoying all that's offered in the area.

Nice hotel

Conveniently located. Property needs a makeover. It looks worn. I stayed when they 1st opened the hotel and it’s definitely changed - not for the better.

It is a shame that we didn’t know this hotel is in the middle of getting renovated. The rooms are ok and they keep everything as clean a possible even though there is construction. There is not an area to work in the hotel unless is in your room and the sitting areas close to the dining room have no outlets for the charger. The room is ok, very clean though the shower is so strong when you open the glass door you feel you are in the Niagara Falls

Hotel under remodeling moving to a modern look. Beds are too low to the ground now. Chairs in room are like an60’s 70’s style not comfortable. Called for additional towels can to call a second time because they don’t think we needed them right away.

The are still renovating the property so very confusing where check in and self park is for hotel. Price quoted when making reservations on hotels.com did not match what we were billed for. Revving car engines all morning and dumpster noises very loud and echo. Not very peaceful in mornings. Bar drinks way overpriced and no acknowledgement from any of 3 employees at the bar until we had to finally say something. Breakfast restaurant employees all nice and attentive. Was nice to get room upgrade for anniversary. Most likely will not stay here again.

Hotel was under renivations which made many things difficult. Breakfast buffet is no longer free and it was not very good. That was disappointing since they were actually cooking it. Maid banged on our door at 9:00 wanting us to chrck out. Our stay was okay not great. We were expecting great.

The room did not represent the pictures on the site, so that was disappointing. Additionally, the bathroom tub was so clogged that I couldnt take a shower.

It was still under construction, making it confusing to find at first. But once found it had clear quick directions to lobby area.

The hotel was under construction. There was NO SIGN to let you know that the”lobby “ was actually on the 2nd floor. The best part of my whole stay was the sweet bellman! I am disabled, my blood sugar had extremely dropped, and I was going into a seizure. He hurried and got me OJ and found me a place to sit.

The valet staff were beyond rude and made my elderly father with a heart condition wait in the heat even though his car was on and running cold. The valet got in my face and was a bully. The GM put my parents in the wrong room that was not accessible for him as he is handicaped We specifically requested the proper room before arrival and during booking and it was still wrong. Many other issuses

This used to be Hotel Sorella. The hotel is under renovation but instead of focusing on the outside patio area for people walking in city centre they should focus on the lobby, interior and rooms instead. Housekeeping rushing us out an hour before check out. Seems like they are forgetting that the hotel business is the "hospitality" industry and should focus on the hotel not the restaurant and bar industry.

This place is awesome

Rooms have all been renovated and are very comfortable. Lobby is still under construction which is a minor inconvenience. Overall this is a comfortable hotel in an excellent location.

My stay at the Moran was relaxing, which is what I went there for. Was pleased with the experience would definitely go back again

Enjoyable stay! Beautiful hotel and location was amazing.

The cleaning staff was great, but the communication was poor due to language barriers. No one spoke English and I had to open my translator on my phone for housecleaning to understand a simple request. Lots of hand gestures to get all those I encountered, to understand what I was trying to say. The room was missing an iron and ironing board, and only 1 set of towels was in the room upon check-in. I had to call the front desk for additional towels and washcloths (also missing). But overall, it was clean, quiet and the convenience of restaurants in walking distance was great.

It was a very relaxing stay. Everything was in walking distance. The hotel staff was so hospitable day and night.

The staff was wonderful. The hotel was very clean. And conveniently located within walking to everything.

Convienent but over priced.

The sink stopper was depressed in the hole when I got there. Called for maintenance and they never showed up. Fogured it out myself. Don’t recommend getting room service, the angel hair pasta was overpriced for the quality and there’s a $20 delivery charge that wasn’t disclosed when I placed the order. I was better off getting Doordash. On the positive side, the front desk lady was very nice and let us check in early.
