Not what we'd hoped

At first glance, we were thrilled when we arrived. The place looked comfortable, the ambience was nice, & the staff was helpful. We checked into our room, which was very nice--a view, a deck (we were on a premium floor). But things started to take a turn for the worse. The pool was closed, the outdoor areas inaccessible. We complained, & after a day, they opened for us the 24" shallow pool, which got us wet, but it was not what we bargained for, that's for sure. All of the outdoor facilities were closed, too. The staff gave us many excuses, but the one that proved true was that the national park controls everything. The beach looks great in the photos, right? Well, I'll include some of mine, so you can see what you're really going to find. You can't swim off that beach, either. In fact, signs prohibit even walking on it! Breakfast is a spread, but frankly, the food looked thrown together, & not nearly as wonderful as we'd hoped--it's not cheap--$22 per person. Not worth it. The location is not great, I'm afraid. It's a 25-minute drive into town, where all the action is. We drove, so I'm not sure what the cab fare will cost, but this is the kind of place where you stay put, which may be what you're looking for. For us, we went into town every day & night, so there was a fair amount of traveling. To be fair, the hotel refunded us the entire bill for the room, for 2 days, as an apology for the lack of facilities & their inability to deliver what they'd advertised.

Absolutely marvelous! Staff was amazing two thumbs up!!!

Lui hand is an excellent choice for family as the rooms were big and there were huge open spaces just outside the hotel for kids to run around. Parking was just outside the hotel as well so very convenient. Love the layout of the toilet and baths which are also child friendly. The in-house dining option was delicious and reasonably priced.

Not worth

Staff are nice and helpful, hotel is clean, room is cozy. However, it’s near the sea but not the beach. It has a pool but cost 2,000 yen if you swim at night. Only 2 restaurants but only provide set dinner/BBQ at high price. The buffet breakfast provides very limited variety, even less choices than city hotels.

Lovely hotel surrounding with many sightseeing spots. Just can increase the frequency of shuttle bus.

Although there was a little change of room type I booked and the accessibility was not as great as other hotels in the downtown of Fukuoka, everything was nice during my stay. The best thing I really like is that I could see the seaside and fully greened grass directly while seating on the bed.The people in the hotel was also very kind with smile.

Spacious room...unlike those in city center. About half hour from town if driving.

2 nights in this lovely hotel. The staff is very professional, I really appreciated their services. The food is good. For dinner, prefer the menu to the buffet.

Nice hotel but rooms too dark ....

The hotel is family friendly and location is great just nearby the Uminonakamichi seaside park, staff are very helpful and professional. The room and the overall interior of the hotel are quite dark and not bright enough, and the breakfast area is very small relative to the size of the hotel. Overall, the hotel is great but will be even better with the improvements as said.

Great Place for a Relaxing Stay for Families

It's so comfortable staying in the Luigans, and it's very conveniently located near the Nakanomichi Seaside Park. My family had a great time there.

Nice location, nice hotel with good restaurants. Breakfast was quite good.

Not happy stay...

When I booked the room, it showed 4 people would fit so I invited extra people to stay with us. (the room photo showed very nice and spacious) But they charged me extra $150 to bring more people in....so I was very sad. Also, swimming pool was closed and overall impression I had was very disappointing...

It is a nice hotel and very good views. It is a great hotel and area if u don't want to stay in the down town as it is almost 15km away from shopping area u must have a car for this hotel. Room size is big in Japan and staffs is very friendly.

Nice facility poor service to English speakers

Nice resort. Out of the way but not far from the city. The facility is nice but service is questionable. I booked the hotel and when my wife and I checked in they ignored me (non-Japanese) and only talked to my wife (Japanese). It was quite frankly extremely rude. Service in the restaurant was spotty as well. They may advertise service in English but I did not experience it.

Wonderful location, close to a lovely park/garden

The staff were wonderful, they were very friendly and accommodating to foreigners. The hotel is in a beautiful location, out on a peninsula, so it feels removed from the city. There is a shuttle that takes you into the city and back at various times throughout the day, so it is very convenient.

We had a fanstastic time.

It was such a beautiful hotel. I would definitely recommended it to couple stars or friends staying in Fukuoka.

Great off-season stay

This is a beautiful hotel/resort restaurant dinner and buffet were excellent . Beautiful pool the beach looks close but I was here in the off-season . A little overpriced but the rooms were the largest I stayed in the 10 days in Japan . Very comfortable beds .

Terrific beach resort!

Excellent room, beds, view. Food outstanding. Suggest, as others have, that hotel review its business plan. To close the pool and outside area on Sept.1 is a mistake! Granted that schools go back Sept. 1, pool could be kept open into October! No need for 5 college pool boys, save $$ and open the pool.

We had relaxing and calm time at there. You'll have nice ocean view from wide window of your room.There's no balcony though, it was okay for us. You can go to beach in 2 mins. But this sea is not allowed to swim.

Four days at Luigans Resort

Stayed at this resort-style hotel for four days. Very relaxing with good restaurants at the hotel and parklands nearby for walking / cycling. Also a convenient free shuttle to the JR station in Hakata. Good base for a day trip to Nagasaki or elsewhere in Kyushu.

underwhelming and overpriced

Hotel amenities: For a higher end priced hotel in Fukuoka was disappointed Had agreed to pay extra upon check-in to upgrade to Spa Room when we arrived as my partner and I had booked couple massages (spa room located on spa floor) The consultation before the massage was great, but the massage itself was just, okay. I've had much better massages for a fraction of the price. Massage services were definitely more expensive than the other hotels we stayed at during our stay. Also we were charged more than advertised on website when I had originally called to book. Also the hotel offers hot baths, but only for spa customers. We had used the hot baths before our massage. However, even though we paid extra to upgrade to the Spa Floor and had booked spa services, the next day when we asked if we could use the hot baths we were told we would have to book a spa service again if we wanted to use them. The pool is only in service in the summer, so it was very dirty looking during our stay. The beach had a lot of garbage washed up on it as well. Quality of service: On arrival we were given a 'first free drink ticket' however because we booked our massage for when we arrived we thought we would use it the next day, but the restaurant did not let us use it the next day, and we were told it can only be used for dinner service.

Wonderful remote getaway!

This place is remote and quiet and very nice. The staff is friendly. The restaurants are pricey, but if you're looking to get away from everything in Japan, this is the place for you. It is fantastic!

Great for families with small children.

Overall a very good stay. We stayed for 5 nights. Next to uminonakamichi aquarium which is pretty good and definitely worth half a day at least. Uminonakamichi Marine Park is within 10 mins walk and is huge with lots of attractions. even a small zoo. Kids can spend 1-3 days here easily. There are no supermarkets nearby, so we took the free shuttle bus to hakata and bought what we needed for our stay. Only complaints are that the hotel charges ￥8000 per night for an extra bed which is kinda steep. Especially since the bed is already in the room, below the double bed. Other thing is the pool water is a little bit dirty, which is a shame because otherwise pool looks great and has an awesome view.

A gem on the beach!

This is a fantastic hotel for business, vacation, weddings, and site seeing. The hotel has fantastic restaurants, pool, and lounge. Located on the beach with evening fireworks makes this a fantastic place to use as home-base while sight seeing the local aquarium (next door), Water World, and the local temples.

Outstanding service- for a price

Overall I had a great experience. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and many were fluent in English. We had dinner and it was tasty and not super expensive. Room service was quick, but the. The prices were higher. The cost of the nearby spa was prohibitive, as was the 2500 yen breakfast. I especially appreciated the late checkout and shuttle service to Hakata station.

We loved our stay, but there was se kind of brown stains on the wall in room 602. Will stay again.

Great resort. Very friendly staff who goes out if their way to assist you. Would go back again anytime!

Exceptional hotel.

Faboulous hotel with exceptional staff, fine spa services and great reaturants.

Great service, huge bed

Nice hotel, staff looks energetic. Good to stay 1 or 2 nights, to have a break from the city area of Fukuoka; enjoy the beach, the seaside and the greenery. Huge bed equals to 2 king-size bed together! Very comfortable bed. Great variety buffett breakfast, from western food to Japanese porridge, rice with curry sauces.

Far away from town

It takes 45 mins from hotel to Hakata station by shuttle bus. The restaurants are expensive. Isolated location is good for wedding function or couple honeymooners, good ocean view from the rooms. But swimming is not allowed in the sea.

Great survice and all rooms with great view

Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, a bit far from the main city centre but thats what made the hotel great. There is a local subway station about 5 min (walking distance) away from the hotel but the number of trains are a bit limited. So you need to know ahead of time when a train comes in (timetable provided by the hotel). However, you can ride the hotel shuttle bus or a boat to the main centre. Hotel staff are extremely nice and couple speak English enough to communicate (this is very rare in Japan). If you want a place where you can go shopping easily but can get away from the city during the night and enjoy a beautiful view every morning, this hotel is for you.

Luigans spa and resort

The hotel is very nice but the rooms cost way more then it is worth. The spa is amazing the massage was the best I ever had I definitetly recommend the spa. The location was far from everything but it is right next to the marine park.

Pleasant experience

The hotel room is huge, particularly for a hotel in Japan. We had a beautiful sea view from our room. Good decoration and maintenance of the hotel. The location is a bit far from the city centre, but there were free and regular shuttle buses between the Hakata Station and the hotel. It can be easily reached by train as well although must pay careful attention on the schedule of the last train (I think around 22.30) otherwise you will be stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Hotel was clean and the staffs were very friendly. Only item of concern was that the hotel could not exchange currency nor willing to accept any other currencies othen than Japanese "Yen". Also, if you are looking to have some cocktails/drinks at the lobby bar ensure to be there before 10pm as they take last order at 10 and close at 11pm. Enjoy.

環境非常好

30年ぶりくらいに泊まりました。建物は40年くらい前に建てられたものですが、見事にリノベされ、とても快適でおしゃれなホテルになっていました。大浴場もありました。レストランの食事も美味しくて、ホール担当の方も素晴らしいサーブをしてくれました。

周辺に商業施設が全く、何もできません。 その分、せめてホテル内のレストランなどが充実していれば良いのですが、ほとんど何もありません。チェックインしたら最後、部屋に引き篭もるしかなかった。

생각보다 너무 만족했던 호텔

오래된 호텔이라 시설이 연식이 느껴지긴 하지만, 너무 친절하고 깨끗하였습니다. 대욕장도 깨끗했고 이국적인 느낌에 조식 음식과 분위기도 좋았습니다. 다음에는 더 길게 가려고 합니다.

朝食美味しかったです！

大浴場がコンパクトでありながらとても綺麗でした。また、大浴場の脱衣所にはリファのドライヤーが設置されていたり、ラタン調のインテリア等、快適に過ごすことが出来ました。 お部屋では、大きな窓から海を眺めることができ、アメニティや設備も必要な物が揃っていて十分に寛ぐことが出来ました。 強いて言うと、ホテル内に自動販売機が無いことに加えて付近にコンビニも無く、23時頃に閉まる館内の売店しかないため、チェックインやホテルに帰るまでに飲み物食べ物を購入して置く必要がある点が要注意です。

素晴らしい思い出になりました。 ありがとうございました。

이쁘고 분위기 있고 관리도 열심히 하네요. 다만 자차가 아니면 이동이 쉽지 않아요. 인근에 아무것도 없으니 미리 준비해야해요. 다다미 방이 있어서 아이와 함께하기 좋아요

博多駅から電車で４０分ほどの海の中道公園地区にあるリゾートホテル。部屋はアップグレードしてもらい、広くて快適だった。大浴場もあるのでゆったりできました。朝食ビュッフェは、館内にあるお寿司屋さんがライブで作るおにぎりが珍しい。 水族館以外はアウトドア活動がメインで、コンビニ含めショッピングはホテルのショップ以外は何もない。プールの底がグレーなのであまり綺麗にみえない。青いタイルなどにすると明るい印象になると思う。

スタッフの方の対応や笑顔が素晴らしく、心地よく過ごせました。ありがとうございます

全海海景房間，房間很大，有温泉及泳池可使用，早餐亦很豐富。

酒店就在海邊，環境優美，酒店大堂及設施應該裝修不久，設計很有度假的感覺。房間寬敞，酒店員工招待很親切。可能平日入住率不高，泳池設備只在週末開放。餐廳食物質素也不錯。健身室設施有改善的空間。

조용하고 한적하며 가성비는 좋았으나 교통편이 불편함

離市區比較遠.

The view to the ocean was really amazing! The room was very big and has all amenities you need. The breakfast is a little bit expensive, but you get a lot for it! You have a train and a bus station nearby but for travelling in the evening I recommend a visit by car

朝食がおいしかった

悪くはないけど、期待が大きかったので少しがっかりしました。 朝食の品数が少なかったのが残念です。

博多市内からは車で40分かかるが、リゾート気分で楽しめるホテル。築年数は経っているが、お部屋は綺麗。プールにサウナ、そして海が魅力。博多市内の夜景も楽しめる。

飯店步行5分鐘，水族館可以逛，房間舒服泡美人湯。

我的四人家庭房，有一張床應該需要更換了，動一下，「哀」一聲。其餘都很好，符合期待，我們是1泊3食，晚餐的點心（草莓聖代太豪華）、主餐（和牛牛排太好吃😋），實在太划算啦！吃飯送住宿的概念！！而且還是美人湯溫泉（在自己房間就可以泡）。

내가 제일 좋아하는 루이간스!

루이간스 숙박이 이번으로 벌써 4번째 였는데 갈때마다 너무 좋은곳이예요.일단 인포메이션 직원분들 너~무 상냥하고 친절하세요.필요한것 이야기하면 바로 체크해서 빠르게 처리해줍니다. 시내와 떨어져있는게 아쉽지만 저는 오히려 이게 장점이라고 봅니다.한적하고 자연을 느낄수있죠. 주변에 아쿠아리움과 큰 공원이 있어서 이틀정돈 신나게 보낼수있어요.호텔에서 무료셔틀 운행도 하고있고 근처에 페리선착장도 있어서 시내로의 이동은 어렵지 않았어요.식당도 호텔 레스토랑 조식,석식 이용해봤는데 저는 만족스러웠습니다. 넓고 청결한 객실,바다뷰,대욕장,친절함.. 모든것이 다 좋았습니다.

한적한 바닷가에 위치한 아름다운 리조트입니다. 주변에 아무것도 없다는 것이 단점입니다. 리조트내에서 편안히 즐긴다면 더없이 좋은 리조트입니다. 다음에 후쿠오카를 방문한다면 또 오고 싶네요

완벽한 휴식처, 시내와 이동 거리가 있지만 셔틀버스와 배편을 이동하면 쉽게 이동할수 있다 한국인 스텝도 있다

가족여행

가족 첫 여행인데 다들 좋아 했습니다. 밤에 야경산책이나 이국적인 느낌이나, 경치, 호텔의 손님응대 등 전체적으로 다만족합니다. 후쿠오카를 다시가면 방문하고 싶은곳

휴양지 리조트 스타일의 리조트 룸은 아주 크고 매우 좋다. 메인 로비 분의기도 엄청 고급 레스토랑 느낌이 나서 좋다.

주변에 버스도 잘 다니지 않고 지하철도 좀 어려워서 힘들고 주변 편의점이나 식당은 아무것도 없어요 정말 .. 저녁 드시려면 사오시거나 거기 안에있는 스테이크 파스타 이런 호텔에서 판매하는걸로 드셔야해요 하지만 뷰하며, 대욕장이나, 와이파이, 침구류등 매우 편하며 예뻣고 직원들 또한 친절의 끝판왕이였습니다! 비가 안왔다면 밖에 나가서 많이 둘러봤을텐데 아쉽긴하네요. ㅠ

小さな子供連れに優しい宿でした

직원들이 영어를 잘 못합니다. 프론트 데스크 직원도 영어가 더듬더듬... 주변에 밥 먹을 곳이 없어서 호텔 내부 식당만 이용했습니다. 식당은 매우 훌륭하지만, 옵션이 많지는 않습니다. 호캉스 보내기엔 참 좋은 곳입니다. 다만 해변은 이용이 불가합니다.

娘家族に宿泊プレゼントしました。 「とても良かった！楽しかった！」とのことでした。孫は「ずっとここに泊まりたい」とお部屋に入ってすぐに言ったそうです。 娘家族に喜んでもらえて本当に良かったです。

좀 오래되서 낡은거 빼고는 정말 조용하고 뷰가 멋진 곳 입니다..

とても静かでゆったりとした時間を過ごせました。送迎バスもあり良かったと思います。

お部屋の雰囲気、景色は、リゾート気分を味わえて、最高。レストラン、ルームサービスの食事が美味しかった。朝食の豪華さにも子どもたちも大喜びでした。大浴場もあり、疲れを落としてリラックスできました。夜、豪華な花火が上がり感激しました。

氷が用意してあるのがすごく良かった！近くにコンビニもないので助かりました。

夏の家族旅行

部屋は新しくはないけど手入れが行き届いていて清潔でした。スタッフはきちんとした対応で話しやすい感じ。 バーベキューは美味しかったのですが、量が多過ぎて食べ残してしまったので、量を選べるとよかったです。 せっかく夏の旅行だからプールのあるホテルをわざわざ選んだのですが、プール用おむつなしで乳幼児を子ども用ではないプールに入れている方がいて、結局利用できませんでした。海なら良いんですけど、プールは困ります。個人のモラルの問題かもしれませんが…。 滞在型の旅行者には洗濯室があるとありがたいです。

スタッフ間の連絡が行き届いていて、 とても好感が持てました。 これからも、お世話になります。

とても景色も良くて部屋も広くて良かった。

部屋も広くてアメニティも充実。朝食バイキングは美味しいがやや混雑。レストランのスタッフ等少し少ないように感じた。

アクセスとサービスが…

料理と部屋は特に文句なくよかったです。 ただ、スタッフのレベルは高くないです。 チェックインだけで30分待たされました。その他にもサービスの品質は高くなかったです。

3回目の利用で毎年楽しみにしています！冬シーズンは初めてだったけど季節仕様で違う雰囲気でよかったです！ただ無料シャトルバスが満席になるのが早いのでもう一台あると嬉しいなと思いました！

고급 리조트 커플여행

주변 풍경과 시설 모두 훌륭했고 방도 커서 커플여행으로 아주 좋았습니다. 다만 공원안에 있는 호텔이라 방에 개미들이 많아 찝찝했던 것 말고는 전체적으로 좋았어요

今回初めて宿泊しました。 コロナの影響で朝食は多少待ち時間が有りました。総体的にはスタッフさん一人一人からおもてなしの気持ちが伺えてとても心地の良い時間が過ごせました。また是非泊まりに来たいと思います。
