We only stayed the one night due to a last minute booking. Room was as expected. Clean and tidy. Spacious with a comfortable bed. The hotels is next door to the other 2 hotels and only a short trip from the airport. Transport is free to and from the airport. You are able to use facilities from the neighbouring hotels.
Staff was friendly and helpful, we enjoyed the pool facility Cleanelsess could improve.
Wonderful place to stay in the middle of the Out ack. Really close to Uluru
The hotel was perfect for our visit! The pool was beautiful and opened every time I wanted to use it. The rooms were quiet and large and cool and comfortable and convenient to food market, shops and restaurants. We loved our stay!
Decent accommodation near Ayers Rock. Part of the bigger “village complex”. Stores, restaurants, travel info all in one place. Pricey.
Ok
It’s basic accommodation for what you get, but being so close to Uluru means it can charge more I suppose.
This was a fantastic place to stay . It was a lovely surprise. We were right next to the pool and we also arrived around three hours early and we got our room right away . Staff were excellent . A short walk to the main hub of the complex with restaurant, Coffee shop, Supermarket and tourist shops. They even have a post office. The only down side was that excursions were way over priced. If you want a fantastic totally free thing to do one evening , then do to see Uluru change colour to a bright red as the sun is going down. It is the best thing to do in the evening and totally free.
Clean and quite. Rooms are very small and dark with no practical windows ( only small toilet window)
It is a nice hotel with a swimming pool. This is a great option when you have some spare time and nothing to do. The room was clean and big enough. I did not like it that there were no windows in the room or the bathroom, so it was a bit humid. There is no restaurant for it is near two cafeterias in the center of the villa. Very good hotel. I would go back.
All went so smoothly. Everything is walking distance to the comercial area of Ayers Rocks, includes parking and everyone is friendly and welcoming
Quick and easy access to Ururu
The hotel is part of the complex around Uluru and so we had good access to the town square space. There are no bar or food facilities other than those in the square but you can use the bar and restaurant at Sails in the Desert so that was good. The room was a nice size and had what we needed for our stay, and the pool was great for cooling off. There is also a shuttle bus that takes you round the area if it’s too hot to walk..
Pricey, close to everything!
Decent hotel
Good location, rooms are good, as others have said, little natural light, but for us this was not an issue. Close to supermarket, shops and restaurants
No elevator to 1st floor. Need to carry suitcases manually over 18 steps. Very slow check in process.
The property is close by all the shops and dining
Great trip to Uluru
Great hotel. The rooms and environment were clean and well maintained. Bed very comfortable and enormous! Daily room housekeeping was good. En-suite facilities good. Air conditioning worked well. No restaurant in the hotel but plenty of places to eat nearby. Lovely pool but the water was cold - great for cooling off in the outback sun though. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Free shuttle bus to the airport was a bonus.
Loved my stay here. Such a peaceful and relaxing place. Weather amazing. Staff is so attentive.
Nice place to relax
Proximity to the Town Square
Great place in the best locstion
Amazing location, great confort, magic place
Compact room with no natural light
Check in area nice but rooms small with no natural light. Only windows are in the shower and toilet areas though these have shower curtains as blinds for privacy. There’s a fridge kettle tea coffee and milk provided.
Handy to all ammenities
.
Good accommodation. House keeping comes early (8.15) so use your ‘do not disturb’ if you don’t want to wake up then :-)
Close to centre square, walk to sails for tours, choice of eating close by, Iga, post office and bus clise by also. Room spacious and bed comfortable. Little noise from residents coming along corridor.
Great accommodation for a relaxing holiday!
Very helpful staff at the hotel. High quality of cleanliness and very good room layout! In close proximity to the town Centre (30m walk), close to the art gallery and next sail in the desert l!
Great place with Sails in the Desert on one side, IGA SUPERMARKET ON THE OTHER SUDE, the fun Gecko cafe on the third side with a short walk.
Great Stay
Loved the location for Lost Camel, just a couple minutes away from the town center. Would definitely stay here again next time I come to Yulara!
Nice place to stay..just expensive
Middle garden area for smokers not good. The smells and smokes goes inside of the rooms like 117
The room was very comfortable. It didnt have fancy facilities, or a dining room on site. But that doesnt matter because you can walk mere minutes to other hotel restaurants
Room and service very good. However, front desk hours are limited so we had to walk ou bags to a neighboring hotel on sidewalk in order to checkout on time.
The room was small, but had everything I needed. No lift, so if you have a problem with stairs, ask for a downstairs room. Short, easy walk to the town centre. Airport bus pick up at the door. Some of the local activities collect from Sails, which is just next door so also a short , easy walk away.
Our room had no out look, and very basic, quite small the only windows were from the shower/ wc with opaque glass not the sort of room I'd rush back to visit
Overall, it is value for money
Ok experience
This day was fine. Decent wi fi. The room was very noisy Both day and night.
The tour bus and shuttle bus did not stop I front of this hotel except the airport shuttle bus. In other words, no complaints.
Hotel was nice. It offers a complimentary shuttle from and to the airport. The food at the Gecko Cafe was really good.
Well located hotel within the resort area.
The hotel was fine. The location was great. It was steps from the towne square and the restaurant and grocery store. We learnt quickly to keep no food out in the room or the uninvited ants will quickly join you. Spray was available to keep them at bay. The hotel was convenient for all tour pickups and on site free activities.
Lost Camel is a great place to stay. Rooms & facilities are nice & clean & location is excellent to resort area. Pickup & drop off at airport is well coordinated.
Great stay!
Liked the location of this hotel - center of resort and close to everything! Staff was exceptionally nice and helpful!
Comfortable stay for one night with family.
Fabulous location everything is walkable. Great pool Staff are very nice and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
One of the hotels in the resort. This one was easily walkable to town center where the restaurants are, was quiet and clean.
Very pleasant stay
Very pleasant stay, friendly helpful staff. Rooms were okay with an eco-lodge vibe. Only downside was the very limited dining options. To be expected given the remote location though.
Great location and better price than the other resorts around.
The hotel is located just by the IGA and it was very convenient. I arrived around noon at the hotel via a complimentary shuttle, and the front desk let people check in right away. The bed was very comfortable and had all amenities I needed.
.
The lost camel was the perfect home base for our four day stay. The stay was very friendly, our rooms were very comfortable and we enjoyed the beautiful pool.
Excellent hôtel qualité-prix
Great holiday
Great location. Thank you everything was great
We were fortunate that we got to the property just before the lobby closed for the evening. The front desk was very helpful in getting us checked in, but the directions to our rooms were a little confusing and when we came back the desk was closed. We were able to follow the signs leading out from the desk and made it to rooms fine. The rooms were clean and comfortable, only issue was one member of our party was sensitive to the detergent used to wash the sheets. Checkout was early the next day, so it had to be done two buildings down, but that went well and we were on our way.
Great accomodation Easy access to supermarket and cafe enjoyable stay
The pool and property at this place gets run over by the neighbor kids. They come and go in the pool area and disrupt all the guests. IT’S REALLY BAD. Staff leaves at 4:30 so the kids take over the pool area and with an open air setup they can roam the hallways as well. We paid a lot of money for this and environment was awful. They’re even there when it is staffed by the hotel. Hotel doesn’t care!!
Great
Not bad for the price, nice room and swimming pool. Lack of cutlery and plates in room was disappointing
We checked in with no hassle and was very satisfied with the hotel. The bed room was very clean and the air-con was on 24/7. We love the comfy room we had.
Despite being one of the more "budget friendly" options, it doesn't feel cheap. My room was very spacious & comfortable. Staff at The Lost Camel & throughout the Resort were friendly & helpful. It's also right next to the Town Square where you'll find places to eat, the information centre (where you can book tours/activities & hire vehicles), there's a Post Office, an ATM & a well stocked supermarket. I was pleasantly surprised!
Fun trip
Was a really good stay, accomodation was excellent, went out to the rock then Olgas, came back had a great swim and breakfast. Perfect!
Our family stay was great, no complaints about anything except that the resort and everything around there is extremely expensive understandably though due to the location. The receptionist was kind enough to give both our rooms an hour extra for check out.
Great accommodation for a solo traveller like myself. Close to tour pickup spots, the town square and grocery (although honestly, the resort complex is so small that everything is close by). Staff were very helpful as well.
Clean and relatively quiet. Good central location. Property is a little worn down. Needs a facelift.
Good pool. Central to Yulara. Easy parking Good service. Design of rooms means no natural daylight. No cafe or restaurant. Cleaning fluid leaves an obnoxious smell in the room.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lost Camel. Our room was very spacious and the shower also had plenty of room. The pool was great and not at all crowded. We were especially impressed with the dining options around the complex and the quality of the food which was excellent, before you even consider the remoteness of the location. The supermarket was on site and excellently stocked, and there was even a post office where I was able to post a card to my mum back home in the UK. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay here. We loved it.
Having to pu key at Sails of tye Wind was very inconvenient.. and they blew it on seperating the bed for us.. dang don't say one thing and don't do said task..
Refund was not processed
The charge was wrong and I am still waiting for the refund a month later. I told it was an overcharge when I checked out at the reception and the staff told me it was a mistake and the refund qas made. I called the resort 1 week after and they checked my payment again and never came back to me. It was just one night meal or so (they charged someone’s meal to my room), but very disappointed with this slow and inaccurate cutstomer service even the room and the swimming pool were nice and I enjoyed my stay. I would suggest you to make sure your invoice is correct when you check out.
Nice swimming pool, but needs more shade. Comfortable beds, would be good to have a place to place luggage.
I was very disappointed to be put into an accessible room (room 101). Everything there was made for a person with mobility concerns but as a person who is 6'2" everything was mounted too low and the toilet was ridiculous. I hope no person that might have needed this type of room was inconvenienced because it was given to me.
Expedia lost my reservation and did not give me a refund. We had to book another place.
Nice, well maintained.
Nice room and pool. Very enjoyable stay.
Easy and friendly check in. If room is ready early they will let you in before 2pm, which was great. While waiting you can use the pool. Rooms very clean. The whole resort was great in general.
Staff were efficient and helpful. Room was perfectly clean and roomy. Separate toilet room from walk in shower room. The free laundry was a bonus, even supplied the soap. The pool looked clear but had not been vacuumed while we were there some silt collected. One suggestion for the hotel would be to have a small pool bar and pool patio lights after 6. I would recommend this hotel and resort.
We loved our stay here. The room was perfect and the location was beautiful. I do wish the AC had been a little stronger.
Loved the stuffed camel !
A pretty nice place, clean, modern, good staff, close to the resort's restaurants and shops. My only recommendation would be to soften the noise of closing doors (it's slow and smooth and then for the last part it slams) and to put a rubber sealing strip around the door to stop noise, since people in the hallway sound like they're in the room with you.
I loved it! It is in the perfect spot, right next door to the Town Centre and Sails in the Desert, where you get picked up for tours etc. Pool is good, but could use a few more umbrellas for shade. Staff were super friendly. Loved everything about it!
Room nice & clean comfortable bed. Big area around pool for relaxing and nice large pool. All very tidy surrounds. Close to shops IGA restaurants nice big park and walks
Very relaxing and central to resort facilities. Comfy bed and quiet at night.
The rooms were small but clean and the bed was super comfortable. I didn't like that the only cutlery they provided was 2 teaspoons to go with the 2 coffee/tea cups. Some butter plates and knives and forks would have been very useful.
Clean & quiet
A fantastic place to stay. Highly recommended
Its a good place but expensive. Particularly food is super expensive
I enjoyed my stay at The Lost Camel. It is located in a village near Uluru/ Kata Tjuta park. All the hotels share a shuttle and amenities. Easy walking to everything within the village including shopping, tour desk, groceries, restaurants, post office etc. the bed was comfortable, friendly staff, free laundry facilities. All around great hotel. Note to mention: no elevator- I was on the second floor but staff carried my luggage up.
The reception staff were kind to me when I had to change my booking, while unwell due to heat stress. A little bit of kindness gets you 5 stars all day long. Inconveniences like no microwave become unimportant.
Rooms lack natural light. Building ageing but well maintained
Convenient location, comfortable stay
We stayed for 1 night and were given a ground floor room upon request at check-in. I had time to use the swimming pool in the late afternoon and even though the water was cold, I managed a few laps and was refreshed, after a long journey of over 3 hours from Kings Canyon. The location was near the Ayers Rock Town Centrre where the shops were. We even managed to see the 10am movie the next day after checkout.
The service was always great, the options were pretty good and the place was clean and well kept. Overall I was very happy.
A smile wouldn't hurt you!
The woman at the front desk seemed like she wanted to be anywhere besides behind that reception desk. My bed was actually two beds (on wheels) made up to be one bed. In addition to the bed rolling anytime I sat on it, it also separated into two beds if you rolled into the middle!
The best located hotel in the resort !!! Right next to the town square and easily walkable to other hotels (for their restaurants). The pickup for tours is just next door at the desert sails hotel - just 3 minutes walk. The room itself was alittle dingy - very limited natural light - but then you're not in the room for very long when it's daylight !!!
The pool in the courtyard was awesome, very close to all shops, activities and everything Ayers has to offer. Room was very clean, modern
Excellent room and facilities
Great place to stay. Close to everything. Helpful staff.
Second stay at this lovely place. It is very nice and the staff are very helpful. Close to all amenities and everything Uluṟu has to offer
Most comfortable room we’ve ever stayed in! Beds were comfy, it was so conveniently located close to the town centre, staff were friendly and we had an amazing time! Thanks
This property is right next to everything we needed and enjoyed.
Amazing to stay in uluru! What a magical place!
