Our time at Lions Lair was wonderful…. Winter WONDERLAND! Michael and Rowena we amazing, they were warm, welcoming, accommodating, helpful and full of tips and wealth of knowledge. The location was just perfect, we walked to Smiggin holes and when we travelled to Perisher it was a 5 min trip in a free shuttle bus. We also walked to our snow/ski hire place, Rhythm Smiggins. My husband and I travelled with 4 young children and we all really enjoyed our breakfast served each day. A big thank you to Lions Lair, and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND others to stay here.

A good 3.5 Star hotel.

Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Bed was comfortable. Parking was good. Good security. There was a large TV in the common area. It would be better if there was a TV in each room as well.

The Manager Michael was absolutely fantastic, welcoming, hospitable and made us feel very comfortable.

A nice family atmosphere with staff who were accomodating friendly. We will be back.

Excellent breakfast included in the price. Friendly atmosphere. Quiet. Hygienic rooms and common area. Michael is an experienced hotel manager who can provide accurate information about the area.

Location, staff friendliness, the amenities and rooms

Our second stay at The Lions Lair and can’t wait to come back again next ski season. Monique and Rod are very accommodating and welcoming hosts. Plentiful and tasty breakfast each day. Comfortable facilities with everything you need on ski holidays. Very convenient location. Thank you kindly for your hospitality!

Hosts are amazing, great place to stay, neat and cozy.

Loved our stay. Lovely view from our room (7) over the range. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a treat...full breaky with self serve pod coffee- 😊. Really quite good value.

A very enjoyable stay.

The Lions Lair felt welcoming as soon as soon as you walked through the door. The staff were friendly and helpful and its in a great spot to catch bus to Perisher or ski at Smiggins. The generous breakfasts set you up for the day.

Management was friendly, courteous and nothing was too much trouble Breakfast was above what we expected and as one member was a coeliac they catered for her which was greatly appreciated

Super convenient for ski trips. Few minutes walk to Smiggins or bus stop to Perisher. No fridge or kettle in the room and didn’t see any vending machines. Mattress was a little thin.

Terrific hosts that made us feel welcome. Breakfasts were excellent. Happy to stay here again.

Great place to stay. But it would of been great to have more kitchen amenities available - even just a stove top! Breakfast was great. Will be back!

Comfortable, convenient and friendly

Convenient location, beautiful lodge with comfortable communal facilities. Friendly and welcoming staff make the stay amazing. Ski and snowboard storage, good sized rooms with hanging space and heating.

Perfect for my needs as a lone male cross country skier. People were friendly and the breakfast was terrific and there was plenty of it. Short walk to Smiggins hotel.

Family friendly place

Felt so homely with the couches having a mountain view. Hot breakfast was amazing, Sunday pancakes with cream, maple syrup and blueberries. Yum yum. Only a quick walk to the ski lifts and short bus ride to Perisher.

Lovely hotel managers. Very nice rooms, and very cosy hotel overall. Very close to snow - 2 minutes walk to Smiggins, and Bus stop to Perisher. Have already stayed a 2nd weekend running and definitely staying here again!

Hotel just closed to smigens holes

Excellent experience to be first timer in this hotel. I will definitely staying back to this location.

Holiday stay with my daughter

The two of us decided to take off in the school hols as there was still so much snow. The accommodation was in an excellent spot. We were warmly greeted and the rooms were very comfy with everything you need. The breakfasts are unbelievable. So good you don't need much lunch. There is a microwave in the communal facility area, along with a fridge, which we utilized for a stay in dinner. Great road trip!

Great Location, great stay

We stayed midweek and the service and the food was great. awesome breakfast that was far from ordinary. Highly recommended stay.

Best stay of our whole trip

This is a well located, comfortable accommodation, that is very reasonably priced and has the friendliest most helpful staff you could wish for. I have never felt so at home as I did at Lions Lair. I only wish we didn't live so far away and that we could come and stay more often! Thanks so much for a wonderful family holiday.

Perfect Snow Stay

Excellent location, great facilities, comfortable and clean, couldn't ask for a better place. Not to mention the wonderful cooked breakfast, served at your table that was hearty and delicious, just what you need before a day on the slopes. Short walk to Smiggin's pub for dinner. We'll definitely be back.

Great on snow accommodation

Great location located tucked away at Smiggins. Short walk to the snow at Smiggins and to the shuttle that connects you to Perisher. Great friendly service and delicious breakfast provided. Room was clean and nice. Bathroom was clean and modern. Great common area with Foxtel and pool table. Only down side was there wa no telly in the room. Definitely will stay again. Very happy

Good location and yummy breakfast

Great service, clean, cosy and cute. Only negative is the free buses don't run late so if you're in perisher after dark you're kind of stuck there unless you hitch a ride. A family friendly spot and all the guests were so friendly!

We loved it. Nice and close to the lifts. Friendly staff. Super clean and tidy. Bed and linen was so comfy.

Wonderful host and memorable stay

The Lodge is strategically located next to ski lifts. It is very well maintained, clean and hygienic! Lounge area is very homely, provides all the home comforts and more. Hosts Monique and Rod are very welcoming and helpful. We had a family holiday and kids enjoyed the most with pool table being there in the lounge. We could not have found better place to stay.

Ski and Brekkie

Smiggin holes has a new Hotel called 'Lions liar". My favourite spot in perisher.
