The property itself is finished to quite a high standard. However, it's slightly isolated along a rough road that takes some time to get to if you're interested in visiting the other parts of the island. We had some issues with our plumbing and had no running water for a large part of our stay. They allowed us access to another room, but it was still slightly inconvenient. We had asked for a cot in the room for our baby, but they didn't have any. On our insistence they did obtain one from another sister hotel (the Plantation). The breakfast was very nice. It was also quiet and relaxing.
We had a wonderful weeklong stay at The Liming. The staff was so attentive, always eager to help, and very friendly. The property is beautiful and the cottages are exquisitely decorated with bay windows offering unparalleled views of the sea. We had a small, private lap pool that added to the luxury. Guests must be aware that although The Liming restaurant is excellent, the hotel is far from other restaurants and the harbour, so be prepared for 20-25 minute trips back and forth at a taxi cost of US$25/70EC each way. If you want to relax away from it all, you will appreciate being at the far west tip of the island.
All the staff was great the operations lady manager and the new Jamaican manager along with a super professional bar tender , the golf cart driver and the lovely lady at the front desk Everyone was super great made our trip very special
Nice hotel but a bit isolated Staff super friendly and helpful Some of the room amenities could do with ensuring that they work - no TV reception throughout my stay
This property is beautiful relaxing and quiet. Staff was very helpful, nice and attentive I would definitely go back
The Art of Doing Nothing indeed! We just had an amazing 6 nights at the Liming and can’t wait to come back next year. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the beach pristine, the private pools heavenly, and the service exceptional. The staff at reception, restaurant, and bar was very friendly and welcoming. The vibe is very chill and quiet and you barely see anyone. It is a 30 min drive from town. There’s nothing to do nearby and this is good. Food 8/10. Cleanliness 10/10. Facilities 10/10. Service 10/10. Staff 10/10. Relaxation 10/10. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you!
The Liming is a gorgeous property right on the ocean with luxurious individual villas for guests complete with private pools. It is a small resort, very quiet and secluded. There weren't a lot of activities but that suited our needs perfectly. There were opportunities to hire boat trips, take a taxi into the nearest town or do some water sports but we did not do any of that. We read, relaxed and enjoyed our beautiful villa and pool. The staff were friendly, available and so accommodating. It was a week of gentle relaxation. The food at the resort is limited but good quality. I would have liked access to some snacks - maybe at the bar or a small convenience store but that is not available at this time. The weather was a perfect 27 C every day (in early February). Only downside for me was the bug bites I got - small flies or mosquitoes? Very itchy reaction and swelling. I will bring heavy duty bug spray if I return!
This property is portrayed as high end but it is not. Rooms lovely, comfortable, plunge pool. Location of hotel is far from anywhere. Theoretically good for romantic getaway. HOWEVER , they offer"day passes" for $75. On Day 1, we had 2/3 families 5 kids (kids go free!), who took over the hotel's only pool (@8x4m). The 5 kids filled the pool, while their parents lounged in the adjacent bar area, leaving no room for others. The only other hotel facility was a large soulless, restaurant - empty for most of the time. As the weather was inappropriate for sitting on the beach, it meant that there was nowhere for the hotel residents (who pay $1000 for the day) to go, other than their rooms. If you want to leave the hotel the charge is $50 return. Also, one of the small children, wearing no nappies, had copious diarrhoea poolside and in the bar. The parents used napkins, paper towels and water to try to clear the worst of it up, but this meant that it was tracked around the bar and into the pool. The staff didn't assist. The families then simply moved table. After 15 minutes, I asked to speak to the manager and said that it was a health risk both in the bar/restaurant and pool. He stated that his cleaning staff were busy elsewhere but would get there. After 45 mins, they finally mopped the bar but no cleaning or warnings were made about the pool. The manager noted my issues but had no answers or compensation re paying luxury prices for minimal, unhealthy facilities.
The setting and beauty of this great. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Rooms have living rooms and your own pool and patios and great views. Won’t soon forget this beautiful place.
The resort wajs very peaceful and quiet. All of the staff were friendly and helpful making us feel that they wanted to have us stay at their property.
Luxury on a beautiful secluded Caribbean beach. Staff are outstanding, the location is stunning and private beach bungalows are wonderful. This is our third visit and we look forward to our return
Love it.
Great place for R and R. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Best service I have had traveling this year.
Privacy and amazing beach access
Overall good. Quite, relaxing... nothing to do than relax and enjoy the place. I did forget my watch when I was checking out. Waiting to hear back on that.
Absolutely love it.❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely wonderful. We never left in the five days we stayed here.Gary the chef was so accommodating if you wanted something off the menu and all was to Michelin standard.Arron the GM kindly let us extend our room and runs the place to perfection.Loved our villa, the chilled out vibe and we will for sure return.
The perfect decompress after a hectic few weeks in St Barths It is quiet beautiful white sand fronted bungalow resort. Not near other facilities so taxi to town if that is your desire. We were happy to beach tennis and eat at resort.
This property was amazing! Breathtaking views of the other grenadines, turquoise blue water with a beautiful beach and an amazing staff! Waitresses were very courteous and the general manager Aaron was amazing! All around I would recommend everyone go to the Liming and enjoy the art of doing nothing!
Our stay was great the place is fantastic .. clean quiet and peaceful.. wonderful resort .. a bit pricy for just bed and breakfast or villa and breakfast… the staff were fabulous attentive and overall the experience was worth it..
Gingerlilly is a winner! Great service and views!
The best place to stay in Bequia! The Gingerlilly is a dream come true! Top-notch service! We will be going back!
Arron the General Manager was fantastic from start to finish. He greeted us warmly when we arrived and was always accessible through our stay to offer advice, services, ideas, etc.. the staff was lovely and very attentive. The food was good, drinks were fantastic! If you don’t see something on the menu you like, you can always request something special and they will ask the chef if he can prepare it for you. It’s a very private & tranquil setting with lots of sun and beauty surrounding you.
Beautiful beach front property with a delicious variety of menu options. The restaurant kindly caters to those with food/diet restrictions.
Beautiful friendly staff 👌 👏 😍
Yes
BEAUTIFUL hotel! The villa was stunning with an incredible pool and an amazing view! My family and I loved our stay here!
Outstanding accommodations. Rooms were beautifully appointed with multiple outdoor seating areas abd private pool. Felt extremely safe on property. Beach is very clean and relaxing.
I love this property!! Its the absolute best service and luxury accommodations in Bequia. Hands down.....
A fantastic spot to do nothing!
Fantastic from welcome to departure
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at The Liming. The manager, Aoife, was super accommodating and friendly. She made sure our time in Bequia was extra special. The Liming is modern and the layout and location are perfect for those who what to disconnect from the world and focus on what matters. We completely abandoned our plans to do tours and just spent our time there. That staff were courteous and engaging, from the moment of pick up to the time of departure. Exceptional service from Shardell and Valiya. Worth every penny and we will definitely be back!!!
Relatively new property with well maintained and safe surroundings. Service was personalized with great privacy. All hotel staff were helpful and worked to ensure the stay was favorable and issues resolved. Private beach and close proximity to airport and the ferry terminal are added bonuses. Food was excellent all around.
We stayed in April the week before Easter in 2023. The property was gorgeous. Beach, villa and pools were just as we expected and more. The food was delicious and unexpected. We loved the locals on the island. We went to relax and disconnect from work, phone and social media. It was the perfect place to enjoy the simple but luxurious life! We will be back! Thank you liming team!
10/10 If you are thinking about comfort luxury and relaxation. This is definitely the place to be. Would definitely recommend. Very spacious, clean and serene.
Loving it! Easy access to the beach, beautiful, peaceful place. Outstanding, accommodating, extremely friendly, and helpful staff.
Perfect in every way
We stayed 2 nights passing through the Grenadiens and we are glad we did. Lovely room views and service. Let me add that we v much enjoyed the restaurant for our meals and could not have been more delighted. Compliments to the chef and servers.
Beautiful setting and lovely waitresses, all of them were helpful and friendly at all times
The Liming is a stunning place to stay. The setting is really something else… We loved watching the pelicans and frigate birds dive for fish right by the restaurant. The villas are luxurious and our private pool also had a great view out towards the beach. The restaurant food was fab, especially the breakfast… the fresh juices in a morning were delicious. The staff were also brilliant and arranged for us to visit Mustique and to hire a Mok for a few days so we could see more of the island. Would throughly recommend The Liming, we definitely want to go back.
Utterly beautiful
The Liming sits charmingly at one end of the kind of sandy, palm-tree lined , unspoilt bay that you dream about when you think of the Caribbean , but almost never find. The accommodation is stylish, comfortable and beautifully positioned to take advantage of the heart-stopping location. The management and staff are delightful, helpful and professional. The only small caveat - the US$50 taxi round trip for the short journey into town. But that’s a Bequia factor, not Liming specific.
We always enjoy returning to this tropical and peaceful paradise.
Beautiful location!
The Liming is one of the best resorts on the island of Bequia. Aoife and her friendly hospitable staff provide excellent personalized service. We were greeted at the Port, had welcome drinks at the patio by the sea, and the restaurant accommodates food allergies/sensitivities. The turn-down service and amenities are also a lovely touch.
5 star luxury and seclusion.
Beautiful beach, private pool, tennis with a view, pristine landscaping, great restaurant, excellent shuttle service, luxury accommodations, friendly and accommodating staff.
Very nice, excellent food and friendly and safe. A small place which is a bit isolated but can walk to a fishing village or 20 minute taxi to main port on other side of island. Hike up Mt Peggy was great as was hike to end of island via moonhole.
Paid for a luxery villa. Wss very disappointes as I received a small rokm with a queen bed. The property is over rated. Pricss are exorbitan. The dining area is exceptional, very impressive and modern. The staff isgreat. Lovely manager
LOVE!
Staying at this resort should come with a warning. We were so utterly spoiled after our stay we may never want to stay anywhere else ever again. The staff were all exceptional. Even the lawn care workers would stop working as you walked by so as to ensure a calm and quiet experience. When you would go to breakfast little fairies seemed to appear in your room, magically making it immaculate. Turn-down each evening always included some sort of special treat as the same fairies worked their nighttime magic. The rooms were spectacular and well appointed with anything you could possibly need or want to make your stay perfect. The beach was lovely and the view from the open air dining room was breathtaking. - I could go on… but I don’t care to write a book. In short… just book a room here… and opt for an infinity pool. We stayed in the Whale Cay, and it was (in my opinion) the best Villa on site.
Fantastic
Highly recommend and I’ll return!
I loved Liming Bequia! It’s such a beautiful, relaxed boutique hotel. The cottage rooms are comfortable and well-equipped with private pools, stony WiFi and AC, and everything you could need for a relaxing time on beautiful Bequia. The hotel is located on the other side of the hotel, which gives it a secluded, exclusive feeling. I will definitely return!
Excellent food, very friendly staff, breathtaking beach
Short of Luxurious
My husband and I came to stay at the Liming for partial stay during our Honeymoon. The Ocean View villa they put us in had barely any ocean and all we could see was the front entrance cul-de-sac where guests would get dropped off and both employees and guests would walk by ALL DAY. We felt so open to the hotel guests and staff, I requested a secluded location but this was by far the most exposed villa I’ve been in. People were walking all day next to us, looking into our pool, we felt really bare, I actually overheard the couple on the villa above us say how uncomfortable it must be for us, since their view was basically us and a small stretch of the ocean. For the price tag on the rooms, I would reconsider. Request a larger room or beware. I was extremely disappointed with our location and the staff did nothing to change my mind on it when I was vocal about the false pretenses we booked this under. In fact, when staff would come collect my room service food I heard grunts about how much we’ve left behind, so unfortunate because we saw and heard everything so I definitely felt out of place. Front desk and manager were accommodating with requests we had and I did appreciate that. There was no 24hr service as well, something mentioned on the flyer but not in actuality. A lot of small nuances at this Hotel, we lost power one day. Not a soul around to speak with. All in all, I was sad that during the most romantic part of my life, I had to feel this way. It was our 2nd time there it was twice as nice going back there and literally putting the art of doing nothing into play 😊
