Beautifully designed and maintained property with excellent staff. Very comfortable rooms with more space then most other hotel rooms. Swimming pool for relaxing after visiting many historic places. Delicious brunch breakfast served in property restaurant was included with our reservation. Excellent dinner menu with live show.
We really like this hotel and it's location, so happy to recommend. The breakfast is okay but we tend to dine out in the evenings.
Walking distance to the historical Sukhothai park, very friendly staff, keeping things as clean as possible. The facility is very lacking, especially the water system; you can smell the odor coming out of the toilet, and the shower pressure is very bad, also lacking in hot water. Decent stay if you are visiting Sukhothai since there aren’t many options
Thus is a great place in Sukhothai. The grounds were well maintained and the entire hotel was kept in great condition. Restaurant served great meals.
good hotel, comfortable beds, good shower, good Asian breakfast buffet, if you are a Westener perhaps disappointed with breakfast. The hotel is all at ground level but multiple steps from one area to next, being a senior this becones a bit of a challenge when walking around. Overall good
Top hotel
Had a very pleasant stay, staff were all very kind and helpful. Hotel has a nice pool area and the restaurant has excellent food, can highly recommend this hotel.
Staff members are super helpful and friendly.
Awesome place
Wonderful place and very friendly staff
The property was clean and the staff are friendly. Would recommend this hotel to anyone exploring the area.
Legendha is a terrific place to stay to visit the Sukhothai old capital historic city. The resort itself is very beautiful with a stream and manicured gardens. Behind the resort is an old temple ruins from the era, which is a nice bonus. Rent a bike to ride the 1 km down the road, then leisurely see the magnificent ruins at your own pace.
While the staff was accommodating the hotel was poor. To say the room pictures on the website are deceiving is an understatement. The rooms are more than tired and the bathrooms are as well. The caulking around our sink and toilet had mold. I would never stay there again and I would advise travelers not to consider this hotel.
Great place good food well priced Nice rooms great pool
Very convenient, staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent.
Lots of nature, beautiful, spacious, peaceful, and great food. The grounds are peaceful and it's near the ruins.
Very Thai deco hotel. A bit old but functional. No complaint. You do need transportation to make the stay more pleasant.
Nothing unique but very pleasant. The staff were great, the room was clean, and well equipped. The hotel grounds are lovely. The breakfast was ok but I think they could provide a little more choice of European food. But overall a pleasant stay.
Resort living close to historical area.
Lovely room. Generous Western and Asian breakfast. Nice pool. Restaurant had very good dinner with okay dance show. 200 Baht ride from bus station in New Sukathai 50 baht to park. Walkable but no sidewalks. Buses from Bangkok also to Chiang Mai also stop at old Sukathai station. Only thing unusual for us but not forThailand is no hot water in sink--only in shower.
Was charged a huge amount for a return transfer from Phitsanulok train station due to travel with 10 month old baby. Return leg back to station was late, driving reckless and very dangerous. Baby seat in restaurant was filthy (staff claimed they clean it regularly. Clearly not the case). Out of date information in rooms stating all rooms have baths; they don’t. Staff in reception and restaurant seem bored and disinterested (grounds staff are lovely, and the grounds are kept looking lovely). This is a tired resort that has an air of simply waiting for big tour groups to book and come through. Would advise considering somewhere else in Sukhothai.
- Beautifully landscaped gardens; - Close proximity to Sukhothai Historical Park; - Restaurant serving both Thai and Western food; - Relaxing pool area; - Pleasant and friendly staff.
The hotel is a very nice hotel where you can relax and pass a nice vacation. We tried the massage and the guy, lady that gave them to us were excellent!. We will definitely come back to this hotel if we ever have the chance. Nice place to stay and visit.
Nice place close to historical site
Really nice place in a good location about 1km from the historical site. Nice pool and rooms are in good condition. Only supplied two small bottles of water and tried to get me to pay for additional but after discussion provided them complimentary.
Good environment with friendly staffs, nice food and clean room. only one annoying thing is mosquito.
Nice bedrooms, good food, 20 minute walk to the Historical park.
Nice place, would stay again
A nice resort hotel that is close to Old Sukhothai, nice standard of accommodation and good food in the restaurant. Breakfast was good with some options for eggs, waffles and pancakes in addition to the normal fare. Wifi in the room was very sketchy but reception tried their best to fix it and make amends, wifi was fine in reception and the restaurant/bar. A temple just behind the hotel was the quietest one we visited in Sukhothai, we had the place to ourselves for over an hour, not a soul in sight. We took a tuk-tuk into the old Sukhothai centre and historical park, almost everywhere was 100 baht. We walked back from the centre one evening which took about 10 minutes.
Good location, not much else.
Didn't start out well when I upgraded to the next room size so I could get the laptop sized in-room safe. Then found out none of the rooms had safes. Rooms are old, but clean. The floor boards in our room creaked so much it was like being in an orchestra. The room's walls are paper thin, you can hear everything. The breakfast buffet was tasty, but all outdoors seating. It was in the 80's in the morning. On the bright side, the hotel's grounds are beautiful, there is a temple ruin withing walking distance behind the hotel and food (restaurants and stalls) galore on either side of the street.
This is one of the most charming hotels ever! beautiful grounds, green, lush, and wonderful staff, a performance at dinner time, beautiful, clean, and functional rooms/cottages. There is even a temple 1 min on foot!
A very good hotel near Sukhothai Historical park. It’s always on top of my choices when I visit Sukhothai.
Avoid - Bitten by beg bugs for more than 20 spots. Informed the male staff on duty that my wife was bitten by bugs and he just took out a map and show us where to buy medicine. Another lady staff say they do not have such problems with other guests. Ask for change of room and was declined, says that hotel is full booked, only offer change of sheets. Totally indifferent. Only the cleaning staff looks apologetic The room is old, sheets and pillow are of low quality. In house massage service is lousy as well and their charges are double of what you get around the old city. Overall not a comfortable stay.
Beatiful traditional hotel
Beautiful facility nice staff Breakfast was enough Big and clean room but need more update for bathroom (not sure if they use well water or not but it has some oder) Everything else are great we had a great time staying there
Beautiful hotel close to history.
What a breath of fresh air it was to arrive on these beautiful grounds. The ambiance, staff, rooms and pool were all lovely. Also, we got to borrow bikes to go check out old town and the beautiful ruins. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
Nice stay
Good stay
Unprofessional
We asked the Hotel private car to follow us for one minute to return the rental bikes but he disappeard for half and hour, we dont know what he did with our bags as they were in the car, he could have removed something or placed something in the bangs, now we are on the way to Chiang Mai and will check when we get there. Very unhappy with the treatment we received from the hotel staff.
Maybe next time we will give it a miss
This is our 3rd time staying at the Legendha and it might be our last. For the price it isn't worth it. We had a room that was beside the pool which is the center of the thoroughfare of the hotel. We had the constant noise of suitcase wheels going up and down on the wood long into the evening and at the crack of dawn. Since hotel has bus tours staying there, they are off very early. We even had someone knock on our door at 6am which we didn't need. The rooms are tired and could use an upgrade. The gardens around the hotel are lovely and the staff were very nice. I think we could get a better deal somewhere else next time.
Excellent restaurant
The food is amazing, very close to town, pillows not the best
Close to Sukhothai National Park
Good experience. Pretty canal in the middle of the resort. Good food, nice massage.
Good location.Dated facilities.
Quaint ethnic style property. Slightly dates. Room AC not effective.
Great staff, great restaurant. We were well cared for and happy!
best hotel in town
Temple ruins right behind hotel. Great experience. Rent a bike and spend the day at the sights and return to a tranquil location with nice staff good food and a fine room
Beautiful hotel with great breakfast
The hotel was one of the best places I stayed at during my 3 months of traveling in SE Asia. The room was comfortable and the hotel was designed very well. There is a bridge over a beautiful stream that separates the sleeping area from the restaurant area. The breakfast buffet was the best I have had because it had a wide selection of western style breakfast options which is a rarity in Asia. The only thing I feel needs improvement is the water pressure in the shower.
The Legendha has all the possibility of being a lovely stay however it is rather faded, in need of better cleanliness and better restaurant food.
Good location for visiting historic parc.
15 minutes walking distance from the historic parc Stayed two nights there. Poor wifi.
Luxurious stay in a not-so-luxurious town
Incredibly pleased with this hotel. Driving there, we were wondering if the seedy looking road was going to equally have seedy quality hotels. Not so. This hotel blew us away out of nowhere. Somewhat out of place, this super-nice spot doesn't seem to fit on the street its on, but that's a good thing. Caveat: found some kind of animal poop in the corner of our bathroom (maybe from all the hundreds of lizards running around, not mice). Told the staff and they gave us a room change right away (though seemed to do it reluctantly). Our new room was an upgrade and incredible. Renovated. Comes with a nice big day-bed couch also.
Nice hotel with a privileged location.
Very nice hotel, with a privileged location, just 1 Km (0,6 mi) away from Sukothai’s Historical Park. The hotel staff was very kind and attentive. The rooms were comfortable, although they were not 100% sealed, as small animals and insects may sneak in. A/C was working properly, equipped with a refrigerator. The pool looked very nice as well. Breakfast buffet was good. The hotel conveniently rent bikes to ride to the park, recommended to do the visit. The hotel does not have a shuttle service, but they can arrange transportation to the airport for 400 bath p/p.
JUST FINE
We had four wonderful days in a caring and peaceful atmosphere.
Great atmosphere, service - bad wifi.
We loved this resort. It has a "garden of Eden" atmosphere and good service. The pool was lovely. It is right in front of some medeival ruins and down the road from the Sukhothai historical park. The biggest downside was the wifi which didn't work at all in our room and was spotty elsewhere. Otherwise, this was a great place to stay if a tad pricey.
enjoy
nice
Nice stay in nice hotel
Very conveniently located hotel to visit the historical park. The hotel is charming; staff is friendly and helpful. The resort is splendid although it is starting to feel a bit dated (especially the rooms). Hotel caters mainly to touring buses. Food is good.
Legenda Sukhothai - 1 nighter
I thoroughly enjoyed my 1-night stay at the Legenda Sukhothai. I took advantage of their bicycle rentals for 1 day and went all around the Sukhothai area. Down the main road toward the Historical Park are many coffeeshops, food stalls, etc. Across the street is a complex where a good lunch can be obtained as well. A great location overall, provided you have a bicycle.
great hotel, great location, and good food.
we had a very pleasant experience staying here. Hotel grounds are simply stunning. Rooms are spacious and comfy. Staff is super friendly. Food was very good.
Nice hotel, not far from Sukhothai Historical Park
The hotel had a nice designs, not too far from nice hotel designs, close to Sukhothai Historical Park, tasty foods and not expensive, they have classical dancing in the evening meanwhile dinner. The hotel have bicycles for rent that cost 90 THB but it quiet old and not good maintained. They should rent out for 50 THB for a good price or free of charge would be good. Too many mosquitos around hotel. The wooden floor was so noisy while walking from ourselves or neighbour, especially when we're having a massage and the housekeeper was cleaning the guest room upstairs. Overall was quiet good.
major improvement needed
The estate is very nice, nothing luxury but it gave a good ambience that is expected for Thailand. Major improvement needed on the followings: - a proper sewage cleaning is urgently needed as it affects how the bathroom is smelled -- it smells filthy . If we didnt shut the bathroom door, the entire room would smell - better training to your staff as they look very unpleased. Esp your front desk staff. It is a hospitalty business - food is bad for Thailand standard.
Oasis of peace and comfort near the ruins
A lovely hotel very near the ruins. The pool is definitely the centre piece of this setting. We spent every hot afternoon by it's refreshing waters. All in all, a great stay.
Old, smelly rooms
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel is on beautiful ground with bridges and canal, however it is a breading ground for mosquitoes, the repellent is a must. The room is old and smelly. Beds are very uncomfortable and hard. The breakfast was good with variety of different food. I will suggest to stay in the new part of the town with possibly better hotels. Local "bus" will take you to the ruins for $1. I also recommend massage place just across from the bus stop in old town.
Sukhothai with Kids.
The Legendha Sukhothai is close enough to the main parks that we actually went back and forth several times, but still feels far away when at the hotel. We spent a day seeing Old Sukhothai, to include lots of biking, had lunch and dinner at The Legendha Sukhothai and then departed the next day for a full day of sightseeing by van before departing on the late flight back to Bangkok. This tight schedule with 3 kids under 12 was only possible because of the Hotel. The kids enjoyed the menu options at the hotel restaurant and the pool. We enjoyed the large clean rooms, big day bed in each room, and the hotel setting up all our transportation.
Beautiful
What a beautiful northern Thai modern style!
Very good experience in service and location
I stayed with my wife and daughter for a visit to Sukhothai. We arrived and were greeted by the hotel staff. They were very helpful and attentive. Room was great, located near the pool area which our daughter enjoyed very much. Restaurant is a buffet style for breakfast and dinner, with a wide selections of food, thai and non-thai. Dinner provides also some entertainment with some traditional thai dancers. The hotel is very close to the Sukhothai park area, so its location is excellent. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
The resort is secluded that occupies a small spot of beach with lovely views of the gulf. sun loungers and shaded huts are provided.r ocean view bungalow was simply furnished but clean. Bathroom was contemporary with a skylight. water could only reach warm temperature and cold at random times. built with balcony and only part view of the ocean. A/c is only powered from 6pm-8am. An overhead ceiling fan is installed. DvD players are provide and provide for the evenings entertainment -they have dvd library in the reception lodge where guests are free to borrow but are not checked out/in.. Only downside to this is that some discs have been put inthe wrong boxes. Different masage prices are provided but the pricing is unclear. 2-3 nights stay is enough if just looking to relax because can get bored easily of loking atbthe same resturant menu for both lunch and dinner! However they do use freshly caught crab dendent on sea conditions. This needs to be ordered at least the evening before. the boat companies that operate to the island are strategically scheduled to the inconvenience of flight times to charge extortionate 'taxi' charges that turned out to be a private car provided and driven by the boat company -though this may not the fault of the resort. They were able to book the return boat trip and 'taxi' to the Trat airport after we were advised that we may be limited on time risking missing the flight
Great hotel surrounded by fantastic archaelogy
Really nice hotel, with friendly staff and great food. The highlight for me was making an offering of food to the Buddhist monks that call each morning.
very nice....
If you want to experience Old Sukhothai, this is the place. The location is ideal, for it is just down the road from the temples and ruins.(There is even a beautiful wat behind the gates of the property.) I nearly took as many pictures of the hotel as I did of the historical park. The dinner I had at the restaurant was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The scent of jungle blossoms spirit the air. Thai dirges softly play on the hotel's sound system as myna birds fly and caw overhead....
Good location but basic rooms.
In a good location about 1km from the Historic Park. Bikes available for hire (90baht) are a good way to get there and around. The hotel is set in attractive grounds with a canal (pond) running through it and a nice swimming pool. The web site pictures flatter the rooms. They are actually quite basic. Many in the central area have little privacy and sound proofing is poor. We changed to a room overlooking the canal which gave good privacy but was smaller. The bathroom did not have a proper shower.
Stunning grounds. Nice pool. Quiet. Town nearby.
PRO: - Stunning setting. Small buildings connected by pathways with lush foliage - Friendly staff - Excellent buffet breakfast. Lots of Thai and Western options - Staff calls tuk-tuk for you – 50 Baht into town – or 10-15 minute walk - Bikes for rent dirt cheap – only 70 Baht per day. Recommend getting them for the park. - Attractive, clean, very large pool about 5 feet deep - Post box on site - Thai dance performance in evening (if you are into that) - Tours to surrounding areas can be booked here - Plenty of room for parking if you have a car CON: - Pool decking desperately needs to be replaced and presents a hazard to feet from exposed nail heads, uneven/ splintered wood planks. - Room was on the small side, but pretty nice - Bathroom was ok, not great - No safe in room - Marginal wi-fi. Recommend they upgrade it. - Packaged tours groups stop here
Splendid!
I stay in Legendha for one night as part of our family road trip from bangkok to chiangmai. The hotel was very nice. It had a river in the middle of it which was very soothing. And the location was conveniently close to sukhotai historical park. There's even a small Wat behind the hotel! Overall, good experience. Just 1 thing: the breakfast selection was very limited, esp. for those who didnt eat pork like us
Great location

Mixed Stat
We booked here to treat ourselves whilst going towards Chang Mai. The place, the pool and massage were lovely, the restaurant less so. The thought the breakfast provided was very good and had something for everyone, however dining at night was a bit average. They brought us a dish we didn't order, and seemed surprised when we asked if that was what we ordered or not. Average quality, also the kitchen closes early so you suddenly can't find a waiter to ask for another drink. Hotel was good, restaurant needs work.
Very nice Thai cultural atmosphere
I and my friend's family stayed here for 1 night and will definitely come back to stay here when we come to Sukhothai again. The location is great for Historic park. Although the parking area and entrance from street are not impressive, from the bridge (entering path) to the pool and our rooms which are at the pool side, the atmosphere is very good. We felt like being in a Thai traditional village. The rooms were spacious. The dining place is in excellent design. Breakfast was good. We had dinner outside at another nearby resort's restaurant owned by the same owner of Legendha hotel.
A-okay
Location was convenient for touring old Sukhothai. Bikes provided. Rooms were lovely and pool was nice to have. Grounds also great. Overall, very pleased for price. Buffet breakfast was certainly ok, but we skipped the buffet dinner as it looked horrible. Ordered off the menu and was excellent, though certainly pricier.
Self historical tour with a bike
Nice location if you want to bike to Sukhothai historical park (recommended). The hotel has rental bicycle ($3 for the whole day).
Staff English is just average , yet v willing to help and very cheerful ... :)
Very Good option in Sukhothai
The hotel is very idilic and cozy and staff was very attentive with our requests. It was very convenient to be able to rent a bike there to go explore the ruins and there is even a nice ruin (Wat Chang Lom) 5 minutes walking from the hotel!
Fantastic hotel
Me and my husband spent one night at this hotel and it is really great. The comfort of the hotel is great. The decoration and the environment created is perfect. The location is also very appropriated, very close to the temples. The only point is the buffet> for dinner (and also for breakfast) not so many options. The rest is great
Excellent Option near Historical Park
This is a surprisingly worthwhile option near enough to cycle to the Sukhothai Historical Park. Right next to a monument (Wat Chang Lom) with decent facilities and a polite responsive staff. The negatives are an overpriced restaurant, the occasional insect and no proper double beds.
Friendly staff and excellent service
Me and my wife went to Sukhothai for a long weekend. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped to turn on the air con in the room in advance so that when we get in from the hot day, we get some cool air. There is also a free cultural show at the restaurant at night. Bikes are for rent at THB70/person/day, which was convenient - because it was a 5-minute ride from the Sukhothai historical park.
Clean Hotel and Great Location
We stayed here for 2 nights and our stay was pleasant. The hotel staff were very friendly and the service was great. The location was close to the UNSESCO world heritage sites and the bus stop. All in all it was a very nice stay and would recommend this hotel.
Overall good experience
The main reason I booked this hotel is it is very close to the Sukhothai ruins. getting to the ruins couldn't be easier as they rent bikes at the hotel for a low price but we never got charged so I can't say how much it was. As an added bonus there was an old temple practically on the property that was cool to see and would be easily missed for non hotel guests! The rooms are basic but is slightly above what I expected at this price. The hotel provided free wi-fi which is also a plus. The food is awful and bland. Stay away from their buffets. Overall it was a good experience just don't expect 5 star Thai quality.
Good but room for improvement
Nice hotel overall but the sheets were stained in our room which wasn't very nice. It wasn't something you could miss or that would be difficult to sort out, pretty basic that you would expect clean sheets.. The Pool and communal areas were lovely. Location good for the old city and we hired bikes to cycle in, really not much to do after dark. It is easy enough to jump on the bus into the new town. The last bus out is 5.30pm and we got a tuktuk back.
Overpriced and so so but better then most anything else with this kind of location in Sukothai...
Loved the experience!
Pros: Great staff. Fantastic room. Pristine grounds. Above average food. Extensive movie library. Cons: Pricey for Thailand (Pang) Overall a fantastic experience!
A very happy experience on this beautiful resorts. Good choice for people who want to visit sukhothai historical park. However, the only one bad point is the hot water of shower in bathroom not so sufficient . THIS IS A HOTEL WHICH I WILL RECOMMEND FOR MY FRIENDS.
Everything was perfect, we really enjoy our stay at the hotel. The team members are so kind and they were always to support us! The nature vibe that the hotel has was the most valuated for our stay! Thanks 🙏✨
Gran ubicacion y servicio

Nice stay in Sukhothai
Very lovely traditional Thai style resort. In need of some extended maintenance, but still ok. Nice swimming pool area and lovely rooms. Very central to old town. And friendly staff. Recommended!

Very quiet and beautiful grounds. Breakfast was just ok…,,coffee was terrible! Other than that a very nice place to stay
