Great place as always. Reception staff friendly, helpful and very patient, lots of fun and they make the place a 5* from me. I'd injured my back and arrived a day early. No problem. They extended my stay, gave me the room I like and moved all my bags. Housekeeping are good at what they do. The bedroom was kept clean and neat. The restaurant is also good and the lady who makes eggs for breakfast is a lovely person, full of humour and always helpful, as are the other staff. The food is good as well. Laundry service good if a tadge expensive but it saved me making the effort. The location is one of the reasons I stay. 3 mins from Jung Ceylon and food and coffee, 4 mins from Central with its excellent food hall and 3 floors of shopping, 4 mins from crazy Bangla, 6 mins from the sea and 12 mins to the Immigration office if you want to extend your visa... would I stay again? Yes, it's excellent

Very nice hotel. Much better than 2 years ago when the non-smoking room reeked like smoked room.

Great location in terms of dining and shopping. It's also a short walk to the clubs and pubs of Bangla Road, if one is so inclined. Hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff are all very nice and courteous. Hotel rates are also value for money. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to that part of Phuket. Do note that the beach is probably about a 15 min walk though.

Room was big and spacious. Hotel over all was quite nice. However bedsheets and towels had some stains on them when clean. General housekeeping of the room could do with some improvement. I would still recommend and I would stay there again.

Hotel is literally 1/2 block from Patong Beach Walking Street. Close to action, restaurants and shopping. Didn't like: my original room reeked with smell of cigarette smoke in non-smoking room. Following day they assigned me a room floor above. Much better but still some smell of smoke. They allow guests to smoke out in the balcony. How many smokers are going to obey that! Non-Smocking room should be Totally NO Smoking! Even the hallways and elevators smelled of strong smell of cigarette.

Great stay. Clean , quiet , spacious. Well located. Just one problem. Everything in the room looked clean and great but the leather lounge look worn and shabby which just made the room feel bad . I think damaged furniture should be removed or in this case a nice fitted lounge cover would have worked … otherwise the room was great .

Stayed at the Lantern Resort for 10 days and everything was ok for the most part. However DO NOT eat the food from room service! Although breakfast, which is provided as a buffet was good, the food from room service was not. I felt discomfort in my stomach after 1 meal I ordered, then on the last day i ordered a simple club sandwich and I got food poisoning after eating it. I had to go to the hospital and I finished taking the antibiotics and other medicine prescribed to me and the problem STILL exists 2 weeks after I checked out!

Fell short of being a resort

The breakfast was cold by the time we ate at 9.45am and the only thing warm was the scrambled egg we ordered to cook. The location was acceptable, close to Jungceylon, and the room was clean. Disappointed that Housekeeping didn’t allow us extra bottled water; only 2 bottles per day.

Amazing hotel at top of Bangla Road. Not too noisy and in a perfect location. Highly recommended.

Staff really nice. Property is very close to all the craziness of Patong. Everything is within short walking distance.

The location was perfect in the middle of restaurants and shops

This property does have a great hotel room but do not plan to sleep. You will hear music playing loudly until at least 3am, people screaming and yelling and complete chaos until around 7am.

We got the pool access room and it was very nice to be able to open the door and the pool is there. Very close to the hotel massage 300bt for 1 hour, hotel is right in the middle of everything Patong. 10 mins walk to beach or 5 mins walk to the popular night life . One thing to note is that the music won’t stop til 3 am if you’re planning on staying here. Staffs are very friendly.

The manager is always very helpful and I have stayed here over maybe 7-10 times! and just booked again for Feb 2020.

I stay at the lantern every time i go to Phuket. They always have the best prices for what you get. It's right around the corner from everything you need. And far enough away from the loudness of party road. I will always stay here whenever i come back.

Great value for money in the heart of Patong. Getting around was easy and plenty of food choices near by. Staff were super friendly.

You get everything you need in your trip. You have umbrellas,slippers,towels,kettle,hair dryer,free water,free tea bags&coffee. The breakfast buffet was good and enough. The staff was so friendly especially JEAB.

Beautiful hotel

Great hotel and location and helpful staff. My only criticism is that 2 beds pushed together just doesn’t substitute, kept falling down the middle in the evening

Really enjoyed our stay at The Lantern, stayed in a balcony room for 6 nights, clean modern large room, great huge bed, excellent aircon, double glazed windows kept most noise out. Being in amongst bars there is noise but thats to be expected being where it is.

Convenient location. walking distance to everywhere you might in Patong, hotel is well maintained, modern and clean. Staff are super helpful as well. Definately will stay here again when I'm back in Patong.

I have visited here on a large number of occasions and always go back to the same property due to its fantastic location to everything.

Good service and very good location.

I stayed here for 4 days in a 2 bedroom suite. Hotel is above average but pretty basic and plain. Check in was a breeze, they gave us each a glass or orange juice upon arrival. Pool is located on the roof. Decent size and you can order food and drink up there if you like. We did it one afternoon. It was pretty good. I stayed on the first floor. Noise really wasn’t an issue. Be sure not to lose a key or they will charge you. They will also inspect the room before you check out to make sure all the dishes are still there and the number of towels. If they find something missing they will charge you. I purchased the breakfast buffet one morning. It was pretty good and worth the money.

No where near worth the money. The hotel condition is very poor and the front deskt staff are not friendly or welcoming at all. There was puke in one of the swimming pool. Hope you like load heavy metal music till 3 in the morning every night! Dont bother with this hotel , its worth 2 stars maybe 3 at most.

Kind of bad experience.....

First of all, Hotels.com cancelled my booking without informing me what so ever. I had to wait 4hours for them to relocate me to another hotel. Therefore they relocated me to this Lantern resort hotel. When I got to to the hotel front desk, the staffs are so unfriendly and don’t feel like to assist. I called front desk for toilet paper once, and the staff answered “AGAIN?” Which this shows a really bad service from them. Lastly, the room is so noisy because it’s too close to the bar.

Good location but very very loud noise til 4:30am

Good location, bad noise! Every night til 4:30am - yes, 4:30am, the loud music won’t stop around the area. We asked the reception and they are aware of this and agreed to change to another side of their hotels, but took them “2 days” to figure out whether they have spare room and moved us over, which means 3 nights we were awake until 4:30am, finally we got one night to the “better room”, but unfortunately it’s still loud (slightly better). The manager simply said it’s not their responsibility, and blamed the surroundings. They also agreed to “consider” installing double glaze - surprisingly they only realised now. Overall, the location is good, it’s close to most of the areas, but services are so so, breakfast is boring (not fresh at all), and if u are a light sleeper, please avoid this hotel.

If you want to stay awake from mid evening to early hours of the morning (past 3am) then this would be the hotel for you. It is impossible to sleep even with the help of ear plugs. We also paid just under $1000k for a “view pent” room which gave us a lovely view of several cement walls on the ground floor. The cafe/bar near the roof top pool was not operational. The air conditioning in the room struggled to maintain the correct room temperature. I found a flying bug under the doona cover. When my wallet was stolen with the room key in it the staff were less than understanding infact she scoffed when I advised her of this and charged me for the additional plastic room swipe card. The food was pricey at their restaurant.

Could not be happier with our stay. Great room, friendly and helpful staff and great food. Lantern Resorts is in the middle of everything you want to do in Patong area of Phuket.

The breakfast buffet is not the best that I had ever had. Room is spacious. You should expect to hear music through the night as it is located next to a pub though not loud enough to interrupt your sleep. Personally, I feel that the hotel is over priced.

We overall enjoyed our stay recently here at Lantern Resorts Patong, the photos of rooms and facitlites aren't reflective of the current state of the hotel. We loved the roof top pool and the rooms size were great and large. Close and in walking distance to most things, great location.We wished breakfast was served hot or warm and not cold, 6 days of cold food was yuck.

AMAZING PLACE & GREAT LOCATION

The place and staff were AMAZING! I extended my stay and it was because they made me feel so at home and welcomed! My room was AWESOME & HUGE! It was centrally located near everything. It was a 6 minute walk to Jungcelyon Mall and Bangela Road and just 8 minuted to Patong beach! I'm already planning my return trip and I'll DEFINITELY be staying at The Lantern Resort. THANKS GUYS

Stayed 4 nights. Good location. Room is a little bit noisy. Staffs are friendly. Requested for sth special for anniversary, staff responded with okay, but no follow up on the actual day.

Near walking street, plenty of shops and food stalls around. Advise not to drive to this area as roads lead to the hotel may face a challenge due to one way street.

A bustling area with local eateries nearby

The hotel is situated in the bustling part of town. You are steps away from local eateries, night markets, bars & restaurants, and a shopping mall is also just 2 minutes walk at the main street intersection. The area tends to become rowdy at night, but if you like the type of busy and happening vibes then this is definitely a fun area to be.

Everything was great! I loved the locarion; however, my wife had a difficult time sleeping because of the noise. I slept well.

Good time

We especially enjoyed hiring the hotel van and driver for 4 and 8 hour custom tours. Our driver's name was Adam and he made a suggestion to go to the cashew factory. I bought a variety of cashew nuts in assorted flavors. He's a great guy.

Great location in Patong. Close to everything including Bangla Road, Jungcelon Shopping Mall, night markets and very good restaurants. Room & bathroom is spacious. Very good security. Staffs are very helpful & friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel just a street next to Jungceylon shopping centre. Slight noises from the bars nearby. Walking distance to the beach by cutting thru Bangla street. Personal experience: do not leave the extra key at the reader. Our key was removed and nowhere to be sighted after room services.

My very negative criticism is solely for the reception staff, they were very poor in service provisioning, we had a flight delay and the suitcases did not arrive. They were not even willing to help with call to the airport , and they also wanted that we pay for this call (local call.) I never encountered such a bad service From the reception staff.

The hotel is at a good location - it is about 10 mins walk away from Patong Beach and hence it is not extremely noisy at night. However, from our room, we could still hear the noises at night, but it didnt affect our sleep. Room is very spacious! Bed is comfy! Hotel is clean!

All that you need in a hotel , good rooms, pools and nice staff. Great location near to the beach, nightlife, shops , night market and places to eat . Expect to hear noise as this hotel is in the heart of the hustle n bustle of patong life. Really a great place to stay to easily walk to everything.

Great place to staySpent 10 Days in Phuket

Spent 10 Days in Phuket and stayed at the Lantern Resort Patong, The Rooms where very clean with the house staff always making sure the Resort was clean & tidy, Rooms where cleaned with attention to detail. Front of house staff where friendly and apart of the lack of fluent English communication was OK. Had breakfast every morning in the restaurant which was fresh daily and a reasonable selection of hot breakfast (Asian & Western). In the Evening the Bar was Sensational ALL the bar staff where Very Friendly (Not in your face) and up for a chat if you wanted too. The Food & Beverage manager Q was a great help if you wanted something out of the ordinary, if you wanted to know anything about what to do or renting a car or motorbike just ask him. Overall a Great Stay at The Lantern Resort & Spa. Will be staying there next time the Good Lady & I visit Phuket.

Close to food and shopping

Front desk was accommodating enough to allow me to get room before check in time. Restaurant served reasonable priced food even till late.

Good location, excellent staff. Room was big, clean & comfortable. Food was very average for Thailand but ok. Smoking area right at the front entrance to reception, not great first impression.

This is a party area. The music/parties/noises doesn’t stop until 5 to 6 AM (every night!). I paid for my room with breakfast in advance and was given a bill for breakfast at checkout time causing some unessesary delays.

Love the location

Have stayed there on numerous occasions and always gone back there each year (twice a year) when going to Patong. Always been happy with the friendly staff, cleanliness of hote and fantastic location. Feel very safe walking to and from the hotel at any time of day and night.

Nice Hotel in Patong to live in.

I along with my wife and 2 Kids (10 & 7 Yrs old) stayed here for 2 nights and find hotel room really good. Staff is very friendly, Both days we use to walk till Patong beach which was around 10 minutes far from hotel. We were able to find Indian Restaurant near to this hotel for our dinner. Breakfast is good but they may add some vegetarian Indian dishes in their menu so it is easy for INDIANS to eat here itself rather then going to somewhere else. Swimming pool is quite small so we didn't tried it. Being in a main city I can understand the area/space issue. Overall nice place to stay for few days. Thank You.

Me friends and I enjoyed staying at The Lantern Resorts. The location was what we liked most about it. It was close to everything we needed to go to e.g. Shopping Mall, Fresh food markets (Banzaan, Da Hood) and of course Bangla Road. Even more convenience with a 7/11 across from it. Room was nice and accommodated myself and my 2 other friends comfortably. A/C was nice and cold and room/bathroom was nice and modern. The only negatives I can say is that: 1. The bathroom door was like a blind shutter 2. For those who are light sleepers, you can still hear the music from nearby bars that party on till 6am (wasn't too loud though)

Excellent place to stay. Close to everything but far enough away to not be too busy. Loved the pool access room. This was our second time staying at the lantern and we will definitely be back!

Overall good experience in this hotel. The pools were lovely and the staff were very accommodating. It was a bit tricky to communicate with the language barrier, but they did a great job booking excursions for us.

Clean and Comfortable Hotel near Walking Street

I had an excellent stay at Lantern Resort in Patong Beach Phuket. The room was clean and large. We got a room with 2 king sized beds. The A/C blew cold. The location was excellent. It was close to the Walking Street and close to the beach. I would definitely consider staying here again if I'm ever in Phuket again.

A bit hard to find, but once you're checked in, let the fun begin! Staff upgraded me to a great room, and I will book the same when I return!

I had indicated 2 adults + 2 children with breakfast thru the stay in my online booking BUT yet I am told to pay for extra child's breakfast daily thru the stay??? The amount I paid is only for 2 adults and 1 child??

Big room but bad service

I am really disappointed about the hotel. I paid $100+ a night and the service I got left much to be desired. I rarely give negative reviews but this hotel deserves one. When we checked in the AC was not working so I had to call the lobby and someone went in and fixed it. Then when we fill the bath tub, the water had a yellow-ish color. That was a real drawback and I was told that no one had complain about it, so everything must be fine. It was a mental struggle every time we had to take a shower there. Finally, the front desk staff barely spoke English. While this is common in Thailand, I was expecting the front dest staff to at least be able to communicate. All in all, a disappointing hotel for $100+ a night.

Everything about this hotel was excellent except for the wi-fi. If wi-fi is VERY important to you, don’t stay here. Otherwise, this is an excellent place to stay. Great customer service at check-in, great breakfast, nice clean and comfortable rooms, great location etc. This hotel should pay to upgrade their wi-fi. Pass on the cost of the upgrade to customers by adding a few dollars a night to the room cost. If they did this, the overall hotel experience would be perfect.
