Lanesbourgh in January
The Lanesborough Hotel offers a luxurious experience with impeccable service and elegant surroundings. The rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed, and provide all the comforts expected from a five-star property. However, the experience was slightly marred by condensation on the windows, which obscured the otherwise stunning view. Additionally, while the butler service was attentive, there were moments when the eagerness of the staff, particularly in their attempts to be helpful, felt a bit intrusive, compromising the sense of privacy. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall stay was memorable, with world-class amenities and a prime location making it an excellent choice for those seeking indulgence and sophistication.
This hotel is exceptional - from the quality of the beautiful interiors, the many dining and bar options and the wonderful service. They make guests feel extremely welcome and went above and beyond to accommodate us.
YET ANOTHER WONDERFUL XMAS STAY
Our 3rd Xmas stay at The Lanesborough and we have just booked for 2025. Fantastic hotel, best in London. Really cannot say enough about the wonderful staff, they are incredible.
Everything was wonderful and beautiful, and the staff were very polite and kind.
Excellent staff and service. Facilities a bit tired. Neighboring Peninsula is taking some clients away from Lanesborough.
The butler service is outstanding. Additionally I love the quaintness of the bar and even when sitting alone, everyone is attentive and makes you feel appreciated and comfortable. All staff are friendly and highly professional. For the vintage "English" feeling, stay at the Lanesborough. Next time I'll visit the spa and pool.
The best hotel in London. Luxury with the feeling of a family run operation. It’s excellent all round.
ANOTHER FANTASTIC XMAS STAY
We stay at The Lanesborough regularly when visiting London. This was our second Christmas stay and we have already booked for 2024 because this hotel is wonderful. The staff are all incredible and make you feel so special.
The Lanesborough continues to deliver on the promise of excellence in every area. Kudos to the the team..
AMAZING HOTEL
Another wonderful stay at the best hotel in London. Everything about The Lanesborough is top class. The minute you arrive you are treated like royalty. Cannot wait for our next visit in a few weeks.
Great service, excellent facilities but room didn’t match descriptions at confirmed reservation. Promised Hide Park view and was given a wall in front of window. I could have saved approximately $500 if I knew a view would not be available.
Superb accommodations with outstanding staff. Everyone in the Library Bar was great, especially Michael.
Great experience
My stay at the Lanesborough was wonderful. The concierge staff was very helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond my expectations. The same goes for the butler service which thoughtfully anticipated my needs. The hotel itself was beautiful and immaculate. Check in and check out was a pleasure. Overall, I felt right at home.
Absolutely beautiful hotel and amazing staff.
GLORIOUS HOTEL
The Lanesborough is an exceptional hotel and having stayed at many 5 star hotels, including The Dorchester and The Ritz, this hotel tops them all. The hotel is immaculate and the staff welcome you as one of their family. Cannot wait to be back there next month.
The staff at at the Lanesborough is the best ever.
WHAT AN AMAZING HOTEL
We stayed for the Xmas period and had all our celebration meals in The Lanesborough Grill. Everything and everyone was fantastic, it has to be the best hotel in London. It certainly is a step up from The Dorchester, Ritz and Savoy. It was so good we are already booking stays for 2023, including Xmas again.
Exceptional
Best location, friendly staff, and great service.
Best London Hotel
This was our first stay at The Lanesborough although we have eaten here on several occasions. We can only say that this hotel makes The Ritz look 3 Stars. The rooms, staff and service were incredible and we cannot wait to be back for Xmas. We might even fit in an additional visit as it was so good.
Wow!!!! Not only is this place the most elegant and beautiful of all of London! The people here are what makes this stand above other 5 star hotels around. Everyone knows your name and greets you around each corner. They are so kind and you can tell they are genuinely glad you are staying at the establishment!!!
Great Service Driven Hotel
This is a great hotel for friendliness and service. We went as a couple and the initial check in and welcome was superb. Glen at check in was so user friendly and prepared to give you all the time you needed. Same for others at the door and on reception. Butler service is either your thing or not but it adds a certain something. However we did not use it that much. Great Spa and we were upgraded to a room with a view which was thoughtful. Nice Library bar for a drink in the evenings and good cocktails. Superbly maintained and plush/clean. You can't go wrong with this place but in this budget it is competing with some great hotels and whilst the service is tough to beat the room offering at others is better (space etc). It depends on what you want... Would I come again? yes definitely BUT it doesn't stop me wanting to look at other options as from certain perspectives they have the upper hand - price becomes key given the pros and cons
Amazing
Great
The staff are exceedingly friendly and eager to please. We were very well cared for during our stay.
paid upfront and cancelled by hotel at last minute
cancelled with less than 24 hours to check in despite having paid upfront almost 2 months earlier moved to another hotel another party wished to extend their stay They found us a room in another hotel but no choice and no compensation offered Very poor
Faultless - nothing more to say
Luxury blast to the past
Didn't expect anything less from an establishment like Lanesbourough. Whilst the interior might not be to everyones taste (think granny's living room in the 60s), however it suits the place and underneath all the flowery tapestry there are all the modern cons. When it comes to service then it is the best, as it should be. However even places like this have not been left untouched by everything that is going on in the world. You don't stay in Lanesbourough when you are in a rush - so sit back, relax and let people do their work.
Will go again
The hotel is a five star one, and located next to the hyde park. The service is excellent and the room design is a classic.
Absolutely the best hotel in London.
Clearly a 10 at all levels. As always ...
New “go-to” place in Europe. No others compare
One of the best hotels in London. We took advantage of everything they had to offer. Visited the spa everyday, in-room breakfast was amazing (especially the truffle eggs), the concierge service recommend and arranged 2 of the finest restaurants in the city and spent the evening in the bar for cocktails. While we didn’t see them, staff said the royal family Ian usually in there a time least once a week. Wonderful hotel.
Room technology is goods. Bathrooms a little small
friendly , professionel, situation , excellent . traditional
London’s Best
The best in London, without question, in my experience. The staff are welcoming in this hotel with less than 100 rooms. Great spa , Michelin starred restaurant, and The Library may be the best cocktail bar in Europe.
Simply outstanding across the board
An absolutely beautiful city hotel with lovely rooms and outstanding service and amenities. The most comfortable bed ANYWHERE I've stayed in Europe -- and a beautiful, quiet room in spite of the central location -- such a relief! Delicious food, fun bar downstairs, wonderful service and recommendations, terrific concierge. Everything was even better than expected, and I'm a tough critic. There was a misunderstanding about our reservation, and they went absolutely above and beyond to ensure that we were more than happy with the resolution. Truly an outstanding hotel with dedicated staff at every level and a sincere commitment to excellence and guests!
Everything about this hotel is 5 stars. The staff, the service, the furnishings are as close to perfection is I’ve ever seen in a hotel.
By far the very best hotel in London; exceptional in every respect; a personal favorite.
Simply one of the best hotels on the planet!
First class, as good as it gets. Great concierge team; they can get you into any Michelin restaurant.
Just the best
The absolutely best as usual
Location good Breadfast over price and not great ! Coffe bad
Nice decor. Goid concierge and wordld best door men
Magnificent
The hotel was magnificent, staff were incredible in every way, the celest restaurant was exceptional and the quality of the food out of this world. It is now our hotel of choice in London.
Was expecting more
We booked the Lanesborough on Expedia as we are a loyal Expedia customer. Upon checking in we were given a room with a terrible view of the rooftop and mechanical equipment. Upon request they moved us the next day. The comment from the front desk was that we should have booked direct. We have always trusted Expedia and never felt the need to book direct for a nice room with a view . To there credit the room they moved us to was very nice. My wife was disappointed in the bathroom size. I would estimate the size as 6 feet by 6 feet including shower/ tub , toilet, bidet, and vanity. The bedroom area was quite large and very nicely decorated Now for the service , Tried breakfast twice and gave up and walked 5 minutes to the Four Seasons for breakfast. What a difference to receive a reasonably priced very good and HOT breakfast that didn’t take a full hour. If you decide to eat breakfast at the Lanseborough be prepared to to wait a long time and be okay with room temp. food . It doesn’t help to ask them to make it quick as they really don’t care. For the concierge service, they were good for theatre and tours but terrible for restraunt reservations. They will reserve dinners for you but it will be places they either do or don’t get favors from ?? We were better off making our own dinner reservations with the internet reservation systems. Bottom Line Should have stayed at the Four Seasons !
Best service I’ve ever experienced.
This hotel offers the best service I have ever had. Best in a London for sure. Quiet. Lovely rooms with accessible technology. I never felt so appreciated as a guest. I found the value to be worth it. They don’t nickel and dime you to death with minibar charges, service charges, etc.
Simply the best hotel in London
Perfect as usual!!!
Exceptional hotel
This is without doubt one of the best hotels in London. Great location, exceptional service at all levels and easy parking (typically parking is problematic in London). They could improve the bar food delivery speed for meals and decorate with real antiques rather than reproductions, but apart from those two very minor points, this is a great hotel. Request a room overlooking Hyde Park or Hyde Park corner, because there is a construction project going on to the south of the hotel.
Fabulous hotel, fabulous staff
One of the best hotels in London, the staff are amazing and will anticipate your every need. Beautiful building with real fires, gorgeous rooms, fab restaurant and bar. Perfect stay!
