Nice hotel with beautiful art and garden. Large, comfortable, clean rooms, comfortable bed. Nice toiletries, I love that they had bath salts for the bath. Excellent hotel breakfast and helpful concierge. Excellent location, right by omichi market and walkable to higashi-chaya and kanazawa castle and gardens. Ticked all the right boxes for me. Would definitely stay again!

It was clean and comfortable. Great bartender who made a very tasty cocktail even though it was a completely new recipe to him. If there is a bit more attentive service at the front including bell, that would have been great.

Fabulous hotel in great location

Lovely hotel - elegant and beautiful. Staff were kind and helpful. Really good location near bus stops that can take you to anywhere in Kanazawa and 10 mins bus from main station. Rooms are a great size and have all amenities. Great laundry facilities which you can view from your room. Excellent place to stay.

Sanraku is amazing

We had an amazing stay at Sanraku; it was so centrally located and close to everything. The hotel lobby is gorgeous, the concierge and the check-in team was fantastic, and we loved it so much we already want to visit and stay here again. Thank you so much!

Hotel was excellent. Service from staff outstanding. Hotel has a shuttle bus to the train station (scheduled hours) .The only negative was having to pay a cover charge when having a cocktail in the lounge even when you are a hotel guest.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and found us some good restaurant choices for the 2 nights we were there as well as being helpful with sightseeing spots.

The hotel is lovely! Very helpful & polite staff, luxurious feel but the beds are so uncomfortable! We had a twin bedroom and everyday we struggled to sleep & then woke up with terrible back / full body pain! The area the hotel is in is also out of town, close to the castle but nothing is around in the area (night life) The nightlife street is 20/ 25 minutes walk away.

Nice fancy hotel close to the main attractions in Kanazawa. Really comfortable bed, sizable room. Good breakfast buffet. Be sure to reserve well in advance for dinner at the resraurant, but you get live music which is nice. There is a cover charge at the bar after 5 pm but if you stay more than one day and use the "no need to clean the room" card you get a voucher which will cover that. Overall, a pleasant stay in a fairly well situated area.

Wonderful and helpful staff. The rooms are large and immaculate. A brilliant hotel. If arriving by train, get a taxi. We walked, a mistake🙂

Very good hotel

The hotel was very good and well situated. The breakfast was fine but there was no ham nor any cheese for our sandwiches. The breakfast music was a bit annoying.

The hotel room was nice and clean. The problem of this hotel is in the restaurant... for 3 days we were trying to make a reservation and have dinner there, we were told it was "fully booked", but it was almost no patrons every time we checked ... this was very disappointing...

I would be happy to give this hotel a 10 The hotel is beautiful, the staff great, very convenient location and delicious breakfast. Highly recommend.Also good beds .

Was going to be petty and dock them a star because we got one of the worst rooms (216: half a mile from the lifts with expansive views of the hotel car park) and the toilet seats are so hot it hurts to sit too long, but I couldn't bring myself to do it because: 1. The breakfast buffet is amazing 2. The staff are impeccable 3. They have an inexpensive coin laundry Would also recommend taking a day trip to Shirokawago village in the mountains (we used the white Ring Bus company: https://ars-whitering.linktivity.io).

Everything about this hotel is first class. I can't fault anything.

A really nice, quiet hotel situated perfectly in the middle of all the main sights. For eating in the evening, it’s an easy 5 min Uber ride to the main restaurant area.

During my two-week trip to Japan, one of the standout experiences was our stay at THE HOTEL SANRAKU KANAZAWA. The experience was wonderful, with incredibly kind and welcoming staff. The rooms were spotless and spacious, especially compared to other places we stayed. The location was ideal, with several attractions within walking distance, including the fish market and a nearby mall. We also tried a few local restaurants, including a memorable Spanish tapas place, though I can’t recall the name. Out of the six hotels we visited, this one was definitely a favorite, and I highly recommend it.

This is an excellent hotel with a very helpful staff. Everything felt new and well maintained. The rooms are large, the bathrooms are modern, the beds comfortable, the views from the windows look out on a courtyard, and there were washing machines available.

Wonderful staff. Very accommodating. Our room was small, but so comfortable. The area around the hotel was safe, and close to almost everything we wanted (shopping was a little bit of a distance, but taxis and buses were so accessible).

Great location close to Oumicyo market and Kenrokuen. Very happy with breakfast buffet. We had Sushi and Tempura with wine. We will come back if we get a chance to go Kanazawa again.

Great location

Wonderful location and clean room, very comfortable beds. Buffet breakfast was very nice, and some of the morning staff were warm and wonderful. But the overall vibe of the hotel was cold. Hotel bar - where we tried to enjoy a small meal after arriving late and finding that room service was nonexistent - was just miserable and unfortunately set an odd tone for our 4-day visit. Not sure we’d stay here again.

Extremely beautiful hotel in an area close to public transportation yet still quiet and serene. The hotel provides a shuttle to the train station throughout the day, as well as umbrellas for use by guests. It is located just next to the Omicho market with tons of restaurants nearby and close to a Kanazawa tour bus stop. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious and much more than we expected (pink and white sparking wine included!). I would def stay here again and highly recommend it. Even value wise it was an amazing stay.

TV guide has different languages introducing the hotels & viewing the vacancy of laundry machine. Pork rice at breakfast is delicious. The dessert with waffle & pancake is extremely sweet.

Best place to stay in Kanazawa!

We absolutely LOVED this hotel. From the moment we stepped out of our taxi the service was impeccable - friendly, welcoming and willing to help with our smallest need. The buffet breakfast can only be described as unbelievable with the variety of food offered, both local specialties and enough comfort food for someone from the US who might not be as daring in their food choices. I also liked that they served the buffet until 1030 which allowed for a day of sleeping in a bit! The room itself was extremely comfortable with all the amenities and huge bathroom with shower/tub combination. But the truly most lovely thing was the center garden with waterfall which provides such a peaceful atmosphere from all directions in the lobby/dining area. In the evening there is even live piano in the bar/dining room which you can enjoy also from a seat in the lobby. Finally, the location is perfect for exploring the beautiful castle and garden and is convenient as well to the train station either by shuttle, taxi or a mid-length walk. Highly, highly recommend!

Fantastic modern property in an excellent central location close to the Omicho fish market. Beautiful entrance and lobby area welcomes you. Samurai and Geisha districts as well as Kanazawa Castle all within a 30 min walk of the hotel. Breakfast quality and variety was spectacular. Room sizes were generous with large showers and tubs. Staff very friendly and helpful. My only minor complaint was that they charge a 650 Yen cover per person for their bar. This seems unnecessary to charge your own guests to sit and have drinks at the property. Otherwise, highly recommended, one of the best hotels we stayed at on our trip to Japan.

We enjoyed the club level service, room, breakfast and the location which is walkable to Kenroku garden, Kanazawa jyo park, and Higashi chayagai. I wished the breakfast was accessible multiple times like other free breakfast places in the US so that we could grab something light before going for a morning walk.

We booked a room with the lounge access. The lounge service was our main reason stay this time. We both enjoyed the lounge service so much, with the surprising violin play.

The great location near Omicho Market along with the tastefully decorated, pristine rooms made this one of our favorite hotels on our two-week Japan vacation. And, the feature that made this location really memorable was the large, comfortable king size bed.

The room is beautiful and the breakfast buffet so beautiful and delicious.

We loved how welcoming the staff was. How well-appointed the rooms are and the club floor with appetizers. Drinks and the violin players. Just lovely. The the breakfast buffet is fantastic! Ver walkable. The only thing you could improve is having a sign on the tables in the club lounge that specifies additional charges for certain drinks. Otherwise, top notch. Will send people here.

This property is gorgeous and it was perfect for our 3 night stay in Kanazawa. The staff were incredibly thoughtful and the food was excellent. Kanazawa is not as known with American tourists as some other Japanese cities, but it was one of our favorite stops during our 2 week visit.

Bang for your buck, this is the nicest hotel in which I've ever stayed! I highly recommend it for anyone traveling in Kanazawa. The location is perfect, as well as the amenities.

It was a beautiful and spacious room. The bathroom was quite large and the shower dreamy.

The hotel is only 5-minute walk from the Castle park. We really enjoyed Sakura blossoms at the park. The breakfast at the hotel was so good; it was the best from our experience staying in many hotel in Japan. The room was spacious with the Japanese garden view. We highly recommended this hotel to anyone. We will definitely stay at this hotel again for our next visit to Kanazawa.

Delightful hotel

We loved this hotel! It was beautiful, serene and the staff was outstanding. From the moment you enter you are greeted by an enclosed Japanese garden with a lovely waterfall. Check in was easy and efficient. The rooms are clean, spacious with windows facing the courtyard with the garden. There’s an option for balcony rooms also. The dining area is clean and the food delicious! We only had breakfast there but it’s open for dinner also. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Kanazawa

The hotel is quite lovely, as are the staff. However, there was a cover charge of ¥600 per person to sit in the bar. Unsurprisingly, the bar was empty. Probably best not to advertise a piano bar as a hotel facility if guests need to pay just to access it.

Everything was amazing, particularly the food, which I might say has ruined other hotels for me. No where else I have ever stayed has met the same standard as this hotel this.

Score 98/100 -Should not be 4 star, but 5 star rated hotel. -Brand new (2021 opening) -Location is super central 1 minute walk from market, 5 minute walk from castle park, 12 minute from Garden or Chaya District. Somewhat farther from train station (17 min), but lots of buses or shuttle bus can get there fast. -Excellent staff hospitality and service. All japanese staff. Only downside is sometimes can be hard to communicate in English. But not really a problem. -Very large room size (30m ). Get the one with view of garden, those are prettiest. -Breakfast is one of the best I've had in Japan. Sushi Chef. Tempura. Breads. Local jibuni and oden. Everything is made in small batches, not bulk cooked like other places. Expensive sparkling wine at breakfast too!

Awesome! The location is very close to omichio market, and the left loop bus stop no. 1. It has free shuttle bus from Kanazawa station to the hotel hourly. The whole place is so clean and nicely decorated. Staffs went out of their way to help including making reservation for dinner. The room is not as spacious as hotels in North America but beds are super comfortable, toilet has all kind of amenities including bath salt and skin care products. There is slippers, nice pajama and bathrobes. Lots of lighting, windows can be opened. Superb breakfast. All kind of variety. Highly recommended to book room with breakfast. Do choose a time that is before 8am because it gets very crowded. Just such a wonderful experience.

We have been traveling all over Japan and have stayed at 18 different hotels and this was our best one yet. Excellent staff, great rooms, perfect location and the breakfast buffet is amazing. Not only did the offer quite a bit of variety but the quality was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond recommending and booking wonderful restaurants in the area. This is a wonderful property!

Great location by the market and castle park.

Kanazawa City marathon was held on our check-out day. All the public transportation and even taxis were not available. So, we had to walk to the station for more than 15 minutes carrying big suitcases. We received that information in the evening the day before. They should have provide the information when booked. If we had known that, we would have booked the hotel nearby the station. The front clerk did not tell us when checked in. Also, the rate was higher because it was weekend.
