This is my second time stay in with my family, we have a great holidays in Green Leaf
I love that it was ski in ski out!
Nice location
Great location, easy access to lifts and dining options
Ski in/out, plenty of choices to eat at Niseko-Yo, which is 2 gondola rides away. Unfortunately the outside Onsen was out of order, which we were looking forward to Staff friendly and helpful.
Very convenient, right by the gondola.
Great location friendly staff with excellent facilities to make ski holiday enjoyable
Expected better restaurant
My partner and I visited Niseko for the first time staying at Green Leaf. Staff were excellent and the convenience of ski in ski out was second to none. The buffet breakfast had an abundance of options and the view of the slopes from the restaurant was stunning. My only critique would be that the rooms are quite dated, when having a quiet night in, it would be great if we could stream to the TV and watch movies/shows of our choice. I had this option in Tokyo where our room was the size of a shoebox. The TV’s in the bedrooms need to be updated as the channel selection is particularly limited. Otherwise had a memorable stay and hope to be back again.
Excellent mostly. Rooms are small for three people with minimal storage. House keeping work hard but surfaces in certain areas of the room were dusty. Hotel is conveniently located right next to the gondola. Hotel facilities are fantastic and all staff are helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
Wonderful hotel directly on the piste. Breakfast was excellent and lunch and dinner options great. Bar could have had a better atmosphere. Room was excellent as was Onsen and boot locker facilities. Ski hire onsite was very expensive so we hired in town for half the price. Bus service into town was also excellent. Solid 9 out of 10
Super convenient for ski-in-ski-out because it's located right beside the gondola and chairlift.
It's difficult to get anywhere. Rely on limited scheduled free shuttle bus. Public bus is expensive without ride pass. No 24hrs convenience store. The one at lobby is limited. Only one restaurant and expensive buffet. Niseko-yo is very expensive and limited choice. No food truck around vanicity.
Check-in was easy. However, we had 3 different parties checking our families in, and 2 of us received differing information about a few different information that we had asked for. The onsen was nice to go into after a day of snowboarding. We had the whole place to ourselves, could be because it was early in the season. Shuttle bus drops you off here, just follow the schedule. Public bus stop is just a short walk from the hotel door. This place is worth staying.
Good service and fantastic ski slope
This is my third stay. My go to resort for skiing
The room with a big window with the mountain view. Breakfast buffet was good as well
Ski in and ski out . I like most .
Overall good stay
Pros: ski in ski out, shuttle service to hirafu, decent breakfast, nice onsen Cons: niseko village is not as convenient as hirafu for food, the hotel is a bit old
generally is good
Ski- in Ski-out was nice Good onsen
Everything was lovely, first night shower water was coming out brown and there was residual dirt in the bath tub. Used the onsen to wash so wasn’t a huge problem
Wonderful ski in / ski out experience
Absolutely love this place! Stayed here before and we will definitely come back. So easy to hire ski equipment, buy lift passes and ski straight from the door. Great onsen , friendly staff and a cozy bar. Easy shuttle bus ride to HIRAFU . Highly recommend staying here!
Very helpful staff. Room was very nice, except we discovered stained bedsheets and a stained comforter and pillow cases. The bed set is all white and we found brown and green stains in various places. Pretty gross but the rest of the hotel was wonderful.
Very short distance to gondola access , ski in ski access to resort runs, Breakfast was good with many options on offer ,
Convenient and comfortable for skiing
The hotel was in a perfect location for ski in/ out and the parking was free and plentiful. You do have to drive to get to the nice restaurants nearby but not more than 5 minutes. The staff were friendly and helpful and the onsen was great. The breakfast was not as busy as some reviews suggested and was fine to fill up for skiing. The ski room process was easy and convenient.
Access to Ski is very convenient, one directly from the second floor and other from the equipment rental shop which connected to the lobby. With magic carpet and gondola right next to the hotel. Very recommended for family with kids
Fantastic week at The Green Leaf
Room was cosy, bed comfortable with fantastic views with we enjoyed waking up to every morning. The onsen was great with an indoor and outside pool. Staff were very helpful. Shuttles were on time and convenient. Skiing was amazing too. Only let down by the food at breakfast. Although there seemed to be a large selection of Japanese food and some western food, it was always lukewarm or cold. Maybe even a few microwaves to heat up the food would have been helpful.
Good Mountain Snow view!
Very comfortable stay, great breakfast buffet, access to the ski mountain is excellent, some dining options available on foot, but there's a bus to go to the other resorts for more food options
This hotel attracted us at the first instance due to its reasonable price, given the fact that it is conveniently located by the ski lifts. Most other hotels with such convenience are much more expensive. We also love the fact that it is situated in Niseko Village instead of the very busy and crowded Hirafu. Our Deluxe Room is very spacious and very clean. Although the bathroom is a bit small, it did not bother us that much. Good quality toiletries were provided and although the room was only cleaned every other day, we were provided with plenty of clean towels and yukatas for the onsen to last through those non-cleaning days. Breakfast was fantastic – with a wide spread of different types of food to choose from. Although they are the same for the whole 1 week we were there, the variety is wide enough for us to choose different meals everyday if we wish so. Oh, the coffee was simply delicious and did not taste like machine-made ones at all. The free shuttle from the hotel to Hirafu and other nearby areas are really convenient and reliable. It makes going into Hirafu for meals so easy. They are many buses which run through the day and even at late hours at night. We have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful hotel to other guests to Niseko. We are so glad we chose this hotel, and missed our stay there already! A shoutout to Galih from Tomioka Bar, Yanny from Front Desk and Dan from the equipment Rental Department.
Lovely hotel, good slopes
The hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly. The room was large with a good view and directly on the slopes. One thing to be aware of is that if the top lifts are closed it’s a bus to the next resort, the gondola outside the Hilton was always very busy and too approx 30 minutes to get on. There slopes were varied though in the resort at the hotel. The food was ok. Mass catering style. No option for just a meal. Just a massive Buffett with no other options close by, so again it’s the his if you don’t want to pay for the over priced buffet on the evening. Breakfast was nice though. The bar area is lovely and the Onsen very nice. We are a few nights from the bar menu but it stops at 17:00pm, could do with extending that really.
Amazing stay here. Right on the mountain, food is great and the bud service is so easy to use. Staff is also extremely nice and helpful
Needs some work. Definitely great location but not quite up to par for the money. Always good breakfast and customer service but the property is looking tired. Really went out of their way to get us to kutchan
Great resort hotel
A great ski in ski out resort.....Great experience to relax in the onsen after a day of skiing or snow boarding to relieve muscle pain. Reasonable Pricing includes breakfast, onsen facilities, ski hire, lift pass purchase and lessons can be found in one convenient place! The shuttle services was fantastic to get around with
.
The English speaking staff at the reception is well appreciated
Amazing staff. Massa the server at breakfast couldn’t be more kind to our vegan daughter
Food and staff were terrible
Fantastic spot for skiing
Exceptionally friendly staff and located just a few steps away from the gondola.
Good for skiers
Simple, homey, comfortable
This is a simple but proper ski in / ski out hotel on the mountain. The staff are all very nice. Have stayed in the past and will likely stay again. Solid lounge, great place for Apres drink or two. Could be so much more with better food.
Staff are very friendly , excellent ski in ski out hotel !
A good ski in ski out hotel
On the whole we really enjoyed our stay. The bar staff were excellent and staff in reception were really helpful at all times. The buffet was very tired, particularly the evening one. Breakfast was largely better but somebody needs to teach the chef to cook scrambled eggs. They tasted like and had the consistency of water. Perhaps he was using water rather than a bit of milk or cream. The only other issue we encountered was other hotel guests being ignorant of the onsen rules particularly surrounding mobile phones. One man was using his phone whilst sitting in the onsen facing the entrance and could have been taking pictures of naked adults and children for all we know. We alerted the hotel staff but guests need to understand it is a criminal offence in Japan as it most likely is in their home country as well.
It was great for the base of the ski resort, to leave your skis and equipment in a set locker that matched your room. The hire for the ski was also at the hotel. The shuttle bus was good although didn’t have enough time slots/routes that were good. Overall great hotel for ski in ski out location
Staying here doesn’t feel like you’re in Japan, which elsewhere is a place of meticulous service, cleanliness and high standards. Here you have a friendly but amateurish bunch of young staff, probably mostly there to ski themselves, delivering slapdash service at high prices to a captive audience. Loved the onsen and the ski-in, ski-out location, and the on-site equipment rental is great. Food very mediocre. Rooms only serviced every 3 days, and our non-smoking room stank of smoke. Limited eating options around the hotel - staying in Hirafu would be much better for that.
The Hotel Ski in-Ski out is fantastic and not as much people compare to the Hilton side. But I think the hotel is due for a renovation the room can show history and the TV is old. Onsen in the hotel is great after a day of snowboarding, the ski school counter is within the hotel and the instructor Matt is so nice. The hotel location is not as convenient as Hirafu but is not that bad if you have rent a car.
The driver of the shuttle bus from kutchan station to hotel was super rude The restaurant is below international standard Super slow during peak lunch hours and disrupt your skiing schedule Limited food choices Spa is good The outdoor onsen is also good
Hotel has an excellent location for skiers and it is very well maintained. Highly recommended to all.
Great vacation destination. Hotel was responsive to email enquiries. Wonderful connectivity with regular shuttle services
Family friendly hotel.
Love the location. Will go again.
Nice staff, nice location, nice quite place
Limited food facilities. Shuttle bus to Hirafu and Kutchan infrequent
Nice service and hotel. Buffet hotpot dinner is the biggest let down since there’s no cooked food to order, along with sometimes the shuttle doesn’t haven’t enough seats during peak time so it’s stressful going to town around 530p
It's a nice cosy ski in ski out resort. Convenient for skiers as you can ski in and take a lunch/toilet break easily. They have a locker area where you can store your gear and ski out again the next day, without having to carry your heavy gear out to the ski area every day. Rooms are nice and cosy. The only grunt it the quality of the breakfast can be improved.
Quiet, secluded and good staff. Breakfast has great variety. Other meals without vouchers are expensive. Private gondola to nickel village runs, however night skiing options limited to just slow 2 seat chair life’s, good for beginners but gets cold easily. Indoor onset could do with a face lift as looks very aged. outdoor onsen excellent. Excellent ski locker facility right next to gondola. Overall very enjoyable!
Niseko Green Leaf great experience all together
Ski in/out, great onsen (inside/outside) which is perfect after an amazing day on the slopes. Liked to breakfast and dinner buffet (especially the sushi and hot food stations), very smiley, welcoming and helpful staff. I tried the SPA for a back massage and Mary? fixed my back pain so I could enjoy another 5 days in Japow...thanks again!!
First time staying in Green Leaf, last year we stayed in Hilton next door. We absolutely loved the location. It’s perfect ski/out hotel, with a convenient access to Hirafu or Kutchan via shuttle bus. We got our ski classes with NVSS which is just outside of the rental/lockers. At the doorsteps, there are ski lift. Can’t get any easier that that. We loved onsen and thermal pool, such a treat after long skiing day. We had delicious breakfast buffet, few times lunches and buffet dinner.
Excellent ski in/ski out location
The hotel had very friendly and helpful staff who had fantastic English. The ski in/ski out aspect of the hotel was wonderful and having ski equipment hire located in the hotel besides the ski lockers was also very good. Our main area of improvement for the hotel would be for managing the busy breakfast periods. There was often a queue but plenty of space where people could sit, if the hotel staff were a little more logical. For example, there are lots of long, spacious tables for 6 people. Most of the time, there were only 2 people sat at one end of the tables. At least another 2 people could have been sat at the table at the other end, with still a large gap in the middle. Each time we were sat on one of these tables, we kept saying to the staff that people could sit at the end of our table but they never followed up on it even though there was a long queue of frustrated people waiting. Otherwise, an excellent hotel with great free transport into the nearby villages.
Perfect spot for on the slope lodging
Great time at Green Leaf. The room was very comfortable and spacious for Japanese standards. Each guest has their own equipment locker steps away from the lift and in the same room as the rental counter (which has a great section of high end powder skis). Large breakfast buffet and a beautiful outdoor onsen to relax in after skiing. Overall a wonderful experience and we would stay again.
Great resort with amazing view. Front desk is very friendly too. However their room doesnt come with any fan/air conditioner which is one drawback because it might be hot in the room (although outside was below 0 celsius). Breakfast buffet at 2nd floor has wide range of food. Comes with free outdoor parking, onsen etc, had a great stay there!
Friendly staff, clean room and good breakfast
The staff there are very friendly and helpful. We all had a wonderful stay. Shuttle buses help with our logistics around the area.
Room too small and single lift only. Staff excellent
ski
Very expensive place with low flexibility and not really customer oriented staff. Low level of English. This being said, it’s well organised and efficient. Great access to the ski resort.
Green leaf December stay
Overall an amazing experience. Great views from the room. Check in experience was smooth. Just one feedback is that since it is in a remote place, they should have some menu items for vegetarians which they didn’t have at all on their restaurant menu. Highly recommended place to stay overall.
One of my most memorable stays,Rooms are nice fitness facilities top class. The ski rentals and ski school is one of the best and cheapest here as well. Breakfast has vast variety , but above all of this it’s the staff that makes the difference . I forgot my phone and Mr kimura ( staff) Made all the necessary arrangement to get my phone in few hours , he even went to pick my phone from the bus services ( I don’t think these kind of people even existed now days). I was also approached my Mr Raymond ( Manager ) about my stay and experience ( I felt that was touchy as well). Overall it was one of my most memorable stays and I will strongly recommend to everyone . Couldn’t have been better Regards to the green leaf team .
Ski In Ski Out, Excellent Staff
Had a baby with us and hotel provided a baby cot which was very useful. Excellent staff be it at the reception or the conceign. Hotel with ski in ski out right at the door step and lockers to keep your equipments.
Stay was good. Location of hotel was within the niseko village. Should have more tv channels in English and tv remote control should have instructions in English.
The room need refurnishing. Staff can speak english.
Awesome ski in and out resort! IN LOVE WITH THEIR OUTDOOR ONSEN WHILE SNOWING!! :) room was decent size, great ski slope view and yummy breakfast!
Nice stay!
It was a nice stay. The staff are very helpful. Maybe because it is not a peak season. It is not crowded and nice!
service of hotel staff is good! hotel is a bit small, only 1 restaurant...but with nice onsen and with reasonable price.
Will be back next season
We had an amazing stay. The staff was incredible. Answered all of our questions. Free breakfast was good. I wish they had an omelet station though and a bigger convenience store that had more snacks.
great service and location. Can by ski tickets on site lockers and ski rental. Incredible food service at upscale dinning option ; breakfast. Dinner, buffet changed a little bit every night and was very reasonable considering variety options. A good change from Hirafu ( a town close by). Away from the sometimes drunken rowdiness in Hirafu
Clean, good location for ski in/out, free shuttle bus
The staff were exceptional and always happy to oblige. The amenities particularly the en-sen was fantastic. The only downsiude was the remoteness from Hirafu and limited restaurants to choose from.
The onsen is amazing here. Of course, the ski-in, ski-out convenience is unbeatable.
The quiet location of the hotel is great. Easy access to the slopes from property. Relaxing onsen in the hotel.
Dream family vacation place!
Very nice place! Perfect for a ski trip getaway with friends or family. Definitely coming back with the kids.
Nice hotel. Very friendly helpful staff. Good lockers for ski gear. Rooms a bit dated. Room size was ok but needed to book two rooms for family of 4 (kids 13 & 10). Washing machine and dryer wasn’t the nicest I’ve ever seen but it worked. Restaurant was average. Location next to ski field and lifts is great (great areas for pro’s, or beginners to practice and kids to play around) but it’s a 15min (complementary) bus ride to the main village where the restaurants and other lifts are. Bus schedule was quite frequent and reliable. Ski field “closes” after about 7pm outside the hotel. Couldn’t tell exact time. No signage. Just got told to get off the field which seemed a bit random. Probably suggest staying at the sister hotel - Hilton if you prefer a slightly more up-market hotel and room if you can spare the cash. But otherwise GL was fine for the family for 4 nights. Again, staff were very friendly and helpful.
It was a good experience. Room was clean staff were friendly enjoyed my stay there
A nice cozy hotel wth excellwnt service and facilities
Hassle free to ski resort.very convenient to move around ski area and hotel
food choices were ok, but could be better
Terrific location, staff and excellent quality of services
The best snow holiday
Our stay at the Green Leaf was awesome. We had the best time the hotel, staff, snowboard instructors, breakfast was outstanding l. Oh and the amazing snow was outstanding too. Coming from Australia I don’t get to see the snow it was the total package thank you Green Leaf for an amazing holiday.
Been my go-to for the last four years and will cont to be for as long as I can foresee!
Nice, comfortable, cosy hotel beside the ski resort.
Love the outdoor onsen. Nice slopes! Not much meal choices though
Hotel shuttle service can improve further ..............
Night outdoor onsen is very good. It’s good for family.
Good for quiet getaway
Very good location for a getaway but due to fact that it's off season for skiing, getting meals can be challenging.
Great place for skiing
Great for ski in and out. Had requested for a room with a view, and the staff didn’t disappoint. Food choice is the area is limited.
It was great stay with ski activities and ski lift just next to the hotel.. also shuttle bus to town for dinner.. we will come back again
Home felt stay. Other guests were friendly. Fun filled activities, mainly not free but strongly recommend. Only thing is the free gondola pass, only for transit to Hilton hotel. It's not meant for ski with equipment.
Wonderful experience.
Superb service staff, friendly and polite; always smiling. Resort is situated on it's own, so there's a lot of clean snow all around, and it's right next to the ski slopes. Everything we needed for snowboarding in one place: rental shop, lessons, restaurant, onsen, gondola. We could also take the shuttle bus to the other areas easily. Magical views of the mountains and countryside; very serene. Not too crowded either.
Great place, lovely to ski in /out. We really liked the onsen. Staff were lovely and helpful.
Great hotel ski in - ski out all day and night
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Green Leaf. The ski school and ski rentals were extremely convenient and their staff helpful. There are a lot of beginners runs right next to the hotel but you can take lifts to intermediate and expert runs easily too. The area around the hotel also has not got skiing and Is a bit quieter than the central Hirafu. The shuttle bus is great and runs all day until 1am. The lobby and restaurant are beautiful with great food. The onset is lovely - we enjoyed it everyday. The guest rooms are nicely appointed but small. We fit 2 adults and my 11 year old but it was tight - my daughter would be too big for that by next year. Hey also got the breakfast buffet sorted since previous reviews. It was the peak of the peak season and no one neede to wait more that 10 min at the rush hour.

Very pleasant stay. All staff were helpful and kind. Locker room for skis was very convenient. Would stay here again!
