Enjoyed our stay very much!!
Hotel staff was very friendly and kind.
Fantastic location. Staff were friendly. Hotel is old, but also elegant and did not disappoint. Recommended, especially as a perfect midway point between attractions north and south of the Thames.
Wonderful location central to many of the great museums.
Reasonable value for London but didn't feel as chrietmasy as it could. There was no big Christmas tree in the lobby just a small one in the restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful and location is good near embankment and museums.
Had a great stay here, front desk was very nice and helpful
Great place to stay, very convenient. Only comment would be the noise from a couple of the Christmas events
Property was very quiet, central to everything we wanted to see and the beds were very comfortable.
hotel acogedor
Hotel con localización privilegiada. Magnifico desayuno. muy acogedor salón club.
Great location
Wonderful location, safe, excellent lounge. Room was good, slightly worn. Laundry facility was small. A decent room and amenities and VG location for the price.
My Top Pick in London
I loved my stay at The Grand Trafalgar Square. It was convenient to everything I wanted to do in London. It was in a busy area without being too noisy. The staff made me feel so comfortable - especially Jake and Salman. I will plan on staying at The Grand Trafalgar Square whenever I come to London.
The rooms were a bit outdated, especially the bathroom. We did like access to the first floor area where you could grab a tea, coffee or water. The restaurant onsite food was just ok. It was fun staying in Trafalgar Square. London is very walkable.
Excellent location. Lounge access is a major added bonus Staff were courteous and helpful Our room (suite) was relatively small and narrow, with a small window to a clausttophobic small concrete courtyad with large pipes/ducts
Good size guest rooms. Clean. Mattress was a little too firm. Room temperature control was a little off. You can’t beat the location. Close to all attractions. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Has a very good experience!
Comfortable, quiet hotel near popular London spots.
Fantasy location, lovely hotel.
Front desk service was excellent. Check in smooth, fantastic location right near Trafalgar Square. The customer service was first rate from the time we checked in until when we left and stored our bags for a few hours. Only negative was breakfast, when we were scolded by the bartender for looking at our laptop to try to plan our day. That was not a great look from the hotel. Otherwise everything was great.
rooms were nice...George the overnight desk guy was amazing with his speediness and accuracy...the man made me tired watching run around... this hotel was pretty greedy with their rates. we landed at 9;00am london time which was an overnight flight for us we asked to check in early and they're response was yes but for an extra $240.00 USD ! so we ended up checking in at a hotel near the airport they charged us $46.00 USD for a 10 hour stay...we didnt even get the room we requested here didnt get the city view just a back alley with a wall ! so you may want to look around at other hotels in the area before this place as for checking in early...we plan on a return visit just not staying here again after this
Excellent location for visiting sites including Buckingham Palace, Hyde park, Trafalgar Square. The hotel room were in was quiet. We did not hear even other guests. The front desk staff were amazing, friendly, eager to help and very accommodating. We really enjoyed the hotel lounge. The lounge was available 24/7 with free specialty coffee and water. Plus having private meeting rooms.
Great location. Nice size rooms. Helpful staff
Very close to all tourist attractions; well worth the deal! Awesome.
Very convenient location.
This hotel is in a fantastic location for sightseeing and theatre. The National Gallery and Portrait Gallery are a 5 minute walk away. Stayed with a friend for theatre and we walked to almost every theatre. are many places to eat nearby by. Really enjoyed the Club Room with comfortable chairs, stations for computers and coffee and tea. Our twin room on the 8th floor was a good size for London. We didnt’t go for the breakfast at 38 pounds per person, choosing instead to take a short walk to Pret for breakfast. The filtered water stations and recyclable bottles on every floor were a great feature. I noticed that they had a launderette which could be convenient. There was a microwave and small fridge in the room but no utensils or plates. Staff were friendly and polite. Would happily stay here again.
Great area
Recommend Highly
We were very happy with the professionalism of the team and beautiful interior. They earned the high rating. Our room was comfortable and with good lighting. We were so busy seeing the sights a view was not necessary. We needed a good place to rest up. Toni who managed the breakfast room was cheerful every morning. The restaurant was professionally run. Our week in London was made more enjoyable because of the cleanliness and hospitality shown by the Guest Quarters staff.
Too crowded area.
Very good
Hotel has a great location just a minute walk from Trafalgar Square. Easy walking to most places. Rooms were clean and nice. Reusable water containers and filling stations on each floor is a great benefit. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a great short 2 day stay.
Great pick!
We had a wonderful time here, it is located near all the action. The front of house staff were super friendly and we got to the point we looked forward to interacting with them as we came and went. The rooms were comfortable and clean, will definitely be back!
Marvelous staff! Hotel is walking distance to many attractions, and underground stations are nearby.
The hotel is conveniently located.
Enjoyed my stay overall
Amazing location and comfortable room. Loved the sheets which were very soft and pleasant on the skin. Location cannot be beat as it is close to everything. Service was also great, everyone was nice except for one employee in particular who was not friendly. He asked me at one point how long we were staying and when I expressed that we will be staying longer term he replied 'Oh God' in kind of disappointed way. I am not sure what that was about. One time we asked to have plates and that same employee delivered plates he didn't greet me or anything, didn't even say a word to me even after I gave him a tip. For the price I paid I expected everyone to treat me with respect but this employee in particular have me very weird vibes and it bothered me how he treated me. Everyone else from cleaning staff to reception desk and restaurant staff was very nice and accomodating. I enjoyed my stay overall and would return but hope not to see that employee there. I stayed the first night in a room with no window but then the rest of my stay was in a room with a window which was much better.
This hotel was close to everything and made it so convenient. Club members room was so nice with a great latte coffee machine which we loved. Room was quiet and quite large. We love staying there.
Very good
Great location, very comfortable room with friendly staff. Two restaurants on property and the food was great. I did have trouble ordering room service but that seemed to be a disconnect with the restaurant and i just went downstairs to eat.
It was an excellent stay with lovely staff and amenities.
Hotel was ideally situated, staff were very helpful and friendly, took great care of our two pups, even brought them a bed to sleep in. Would definitely stay here again..
Great hotel in a very central location
Room was clean but a little dated. Needs to be refurbished. Convenient location. Close to everything.
Could not have been better situated. You are in the middle of everything here! Can walk to anything!
Great spot for our visit - everything was within walking distance
Great location - not a bad hotel
Nice hotel; vamped up a bit in the pictures but a perfectly reasonable hotel. A bit pricey, but you’re paying for location mostly (literally seconds walk to Trafalgar Square). Rooms uninspiring; bland and basic and we had a fantastic view of an air conditioning unit that masked the London skyline! Overall, you’re going to pay lots for a London hotel; this is about in line price wise. Breakfast V expensive (£28 pp for a full English so recommend going out for brekkie!)
Ok, but have stayed in better
Nice hotel from the front, but not a great room for the price. Glad we didn’t pay full price, but perhaps that’s why we were given a poor room. Seemed clean however, and the staff were great
Truly excellent hotel could not fault it
Great location! Shower was dirty though.
Amenities within the property were excellent even offering filtered water and bottles. Staff were friendly and accomadating
Good location for all sites
Comfortable Room, Great Location
Our room was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping made our beds and refreshed our towels every day. We stayed on the ninth floor and never had trouble getting an elevator. Great location that's close to several train lines. We were able to walk to many places as well. Would stay in this hotel again!
Very centrally located! Staff was excellent
We had a great stay
The location is amaizing.
Very nice Great location Breakfast crazy expensive so we ate at Cafe Concerto next door for over half the price
Location is excellent, close to many points of interest, 2 subway stations just around the corner. Friendly and helpful staff Bed was too soft for my back and water pressure in the shower a bit too low.
Great location. Good for work or extended stay. Some amenities like bottled water and coffee are a wonderful addition.
We LOVED this property and the location! It was accessible (via Tube or walking) to everything we wanted to see on our short visit to London. The staff were wonderful, and Lima at the front desk was particularly gracious and helpful. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting London.
Good experience at this hotel, room is a little dated but it’s clean. The air conditioner was a bit annoying because it kept blowing on my face while sleeping. Good dining options both in and outside of the hotel and it’s very convenient to get to public transportation and tourist sites.
Great location. Helpful staff. Very comfortable beds. Quiet.
Good hotel in a very good location. Staff helpful. Hotel is old though and the rooms are basic. Worst thing - house keeping cleaning is half assed, done alternate days (climate is an inane excuse— we clean our place every day!), and sometimes the staff “forget” to change the sheets. Nice place but won’t stay again.
The Grand at Trafalgar Square
We were tourists in London and the location of the Grand at Trafalgar Square was terrific. It is a short walk to a few great inexpensive restaurants, pubs and nice restaurants. The Grand at Trafalgar Square shares the building with the Guest Quarters, this was confusing when I was looking at hotels. Although the lobby is lovely with all the marble, our room was very tired.
Great Hotel
Excellent hotel and great location. Very attentive staff team and good overall ambiance. I suggest missing the breakfast as this is dear and you can get better quality at half the price at Cafe Concerto which is about 200 yards away.
Loved the nooks and cranny streets around our hotel…as well as the architecture. Great walking area, lots to see and do.
The location of this property is ideal for the first time visitor to London. The breakfast inlcuded in the charge is hlepful for visitors to plan a full day schedule. I'd recommend this property to my friends.
Malik at the front desk was great. He helped with everything we needed.
Perfect location.
Overall I was disappointed. The main thing going for the hotel was its location. I found the room to be relatively small and dated; the bathroom pokey and stained, and the corridors to be tired. Quite a lot of sound travelled through the walls and ceiling. A good thing is that the room had a kettle, which I like, and soya milk sachets were available in the lounge. The club lounge was excellent (though with limited facilities, just tea/coffee, which is all they promise to be fair). Bar prices seemed very high.
Elegant, great location. Staff was very helpful - Nalin at front desk was very welcoming and professional.
Great hotel! We had a great experience staying at the Grand Hotel. Located right off Trafalgar Square, we were easily able to walk everywhere. The staff was very helpful and super friendly. The room was great and the morning buffet breakfast was delicious with tons of options. Would absolutely stay here again!
Easily reachable by tube. Great location for National Museum, National Portrait Museum and theater district. Front desk staff quality was hit and miss. Although the rooms were clean, overall condition of the hotel interior was dated and tired. Comfortable beds.
Always happy with The Grand
We had a small issue with room service however the issue was dealt with very quickly and we were more than satisfied. We have stayed at The Grand several times and love it's location as well as how friendly and helpful the staff are.
Great Staff, wonderful breakfast and very convenient location.
The room I stayed in could use some updating. The chair was hard as a rock and the bathroom fixtures were very worn and cracked. The bed was comfortable. Housekeeping didn’t come when they were supposed to, but that worked out okay. My biggest complaint was that much like most hotels in London, they told me in advance that early checkin was a possibility, but it never really is. Coming in from the US, most flights arrive early morning and I’m always exhausted and the only hotel in the area that has ever let me check in early was the Cavendish London on Jermyn St. I only stay at hotels more than once when they allow early checkin. They weren’t available this time. I come to London every 6 months and I went be staying here again.
The hotel was wonderful. Great staff, comfortable room, and amazing location.
4 night stay - highly recommend. Amazing location, great staff and great facilities.
It was a great location for tourist to site see. Room was small but clean.
Overall - Nice hotel, close to Trafalgar Square.
..centrally located to Trafalgar, Buckingham Palace, Parliament, Thames, Covent Garden, pier, 2 rail stations, 3 tube stations
Very nice hotel in great area of London.
Wonderful centrally located hotel. Rooms are of a good size with a fridge and microwave included in the room. Fresh towels every day. Even though you're on a busy street the room was always quiet. Well insulated windows. My only complaint was that I would have preferred real coffee over the coffee machine that they had in the breakfast room. Breakfast was great every morning, but often there was a line to use the coffee machine. Couldn't have asked for a better location to be in London.
Perfect location. Our room was a little outdated but the bed and pillows were amazing! The staff was also wonderful!
Great location
Excellent - in almost every respect.
Toilets below lobby let the hotel down. Gents: toilet in 1 cubical soiled and no soap in 1 dispenser. Ladies: No paper in 1 cubicle. A shame, because otherwise the hotel was excellent. Top floor room v.quiet as well as comfortable, service was good and breakfast (even at the end of the Sunday morning session: 11.30!) was still offering a wide range of tasty options. And the location, of course, good for so much. We'd return.
Safe hotel
The location is great - just a few blocks from all the great attractions and restaurants in central London. The staff is also great, very helpful and friendly. The room was very spacious, but needed some updating. Overall great experience.
We loved how convenient it was to all the museums and attractions and the tube
Good hotel in a great location.
The hotel is in a great location....we stayed 4 days and they told us at check in they would clean every other day which is fine .. however we only had the room and towels exchanged once in our 4 night stay which was frustrating...the restaurant/bar was either having a bad night or is this way every day but we arrived for a pre dinner drinks at 645 sat at bar and waited 15 mins to get served then the drink a basic gimlet was made god awful we paid and didn't drink....the manager saw this and I suggested he try the drink which he did via a straw sample and he couldn't believe the taste ....but did nothing about it
Very nice hotel
Very nice hotel, staff were very friendly, local is perfect.
The staff was friendly and helpful, the property was clean. The one disappointment was that the a/c in the room was not very efficient in cooling the room.
Reception staff very professional & attentive but had mixed experiences at the Bar. On the last night a bar person an Indian Girl, I think her name was Vashine very abruptly told us we couldn’t sit at the bar or in the bar area as there was a private booking - this was 10pm. Was shocked & taken aback as we had sat there the previous 2 nights. I said we were staying at the hotel to which she rudely responded that the bar was nothing to do with the hotel. A barman came over to us & apologised for her rudeness. We sat near the exit door for a few moments. Disgusted ..paid £1,100 pound for a 3 night stay & wont be returning.
Acommodations were excellent and front desk service and support was superb.
This is a wonderful property. Very clean, close to everything and the staff can’t be beat! We were treated wonderfully the instant we stepped in the front door. Salman was wonderful!!
The hotel is in a great location, just a few steps from Trafalgar Square.
We have stayed in this hotel every time we visit London and have always had a good experience. However on this occasion we were given a room below street level which had no window. Due to the room location we were also disturbed by the constant rumble of tube trains every few minutes. Staff were also not very welcoming on this occasion. We do feel that it has gradually deteriorated since we first stayed there and will stay elsewhere in future. Having said that, it is in a great location for a lot of tourist attractions and does offer some good facilities such as club lounge and gym.
Great place to stay. Accessible.
Loved it there. It was wheelchair accessible even with a wheelchair lift outside the building. Had to ask for shower chair but they did have one. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean. They had a place to store your luggage till your room was ready. Very professional.
Great location. Close to National Gallery. Tube stations and lots of entertainment, shopping and restaurants Excellent room.
Upon arrival , Jake at the front desk was waiting and knew my situation regarding two separate reservations I had made. He made us feel taken care of after a very long and hectic day. Our room was comfortable and we loved the refillable water station on our floor. Loved this hotel & I will stay here again if we ever return to London.
Great area, hotel rooms were dated and bathroom is something weird like was constructed inside the room and the walls don’t go up to the ceiling
Very friendly staff and ideal location. Lovely hotel.
Loved London. Been waiting a long time to take this trip. Hotel was lovely.
