The location is good. Near the pasar seni station.

No idea how this property has such high reviews. We left almost immediately and booked ourselves somewhere else nearby. The room was very basic, which would have been fine, but was also not clean. Sheets and beds had stains, traces of bed bugs, and only a dirty looking blanket to cover you that didn't look like it had been washed. Staff member barely reacted when we handed back the keys and said we were leaving - just rolled his eyes and took the key, so I assume we aren't the first to leave early!

Has potential, but stinky carpet must go

The carpet in the guest rooms smells very bad. Carpet needs to be pulled up ASAP. Otherwise it's a nice place, friendly staff.

Explorers Guesthouse was a great place to stay for a few days in Kuala Lumpur. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and always available. There is a free light breakfast (toast and assorted jellies), coffee and tea, and WiFi throughout the building. The location is centrally located near Chinatown, several markets and is within walking distance of KL Eco Park.

The guy at reception was unhelpful I can say. When I asked place, just explain Virvary but not clear enough of course. and when I asked him more detail, he said “just cross over the road and you can see “ and in the end I couldn’t find it :( he shouldn’t be like that if you he is at receptionist Shower water is very very weak.

nice staff, near central market

we are 4 backpacker. we reserved bunk bed room. there are 3 floor each level have 2 toilets 2 bathrooms. there're quite silent. Suitable for relaxation.

I've stayed in worse but I've also stayed in nicer hostels. Overall it was nice, the staff were friendly and helpful with finding things to do. The area was perfect for walking everywhere, plenty of food close by. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were quiet at night also which is a bonus! They could improve the condition of the bathrooms and the rooms. I also think wifi in the rooms would be nice but having to go down to the common area isn't the end of the world. The breakfast was okay, but the mix of peanut butter and jams was a little annoying when guests would stick the same peanut butter cover knife in the jam - making it unusable for me with a peanut allergy.

Very friendly reception staff

The reception staff is very friendly and welcoming and this makes all the difference. Used to go to back home but very inexperience and unwelcoming staff made me swap. This is a far better place in KL.

Very Good!

This accommodation was very clean and comfortable; I stayed in a 4-bed female dormitory.I got the top bunk since the lower bunk was taken and it was very comfortable. I'm lucky my roommate was very kind and understanding. The shared bathroom was very clean and well decorated as well. The location is very good, walking distance to most of the interesting places, it's also near the Pasar Seni LRT Station so it's very easy to commute from here. The best thing is it's only RM3 Uber ride (15-20 mintutes walk) to Changkat Street, the best nightlife around town.

Great stay in the centre! Great value for money, would make it a better stay if the beds had been slightly comfier! All in all a good stay!

Incredibly friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating. I arrived WAY too early on the day I was supposed to check in and they figured things out very easily. There's constant cleaning so the place is very clean and spotless. If you're looking for a PARTY hostel, this is not it. It's a generally very quiet place run by a caring family.

Amazing

Absolutely amazing stay. Friendly staff, very clean, good facilities and prime location. Would recommend the place any day if you're staying in China Town.

Home away from home.

My only query would be. .. Why was a group of three women moved from one four bed room to another four bed room? It didn't make sense and did cause a problem with things being left in the first room that were needed for travel. ... the new tenants did not think to take those items to reception causing a flight to be missed. I don't blame the staff for my forgetfulness but the unnecessary move....

Good stay in a good hostel in a central location.... Just needs larger and secure lockers, has the small flimsy ones that can be easily broken in to....

Perfect stay

Explorer's Guest House is perfect place to stay. Public transportation is so easy and it is only 5-10 minutes away from here. Staff were great, rooms, shower, toilet was clean. We will surely stay again once we are back in KL

Great location

Great stay due to location. Room with no window was a little disorienting but air con saved us. Was very good being so close to Pasar Seni station.

Strategic location, cozy, worth the price

Cozy room, just a bit mosquitoes issue, very silent, love the bed, wifi only at the lobby, cozy lobby, felt like my 2nd home away from home... Ideal for marathoners since it is 700m from Dataran Merdeka, starting line for SCKLM, the most happening race in Malaysia.

basic room, better sister hotel.

Didn't stay, was shown room and not as described, reception staff offered a sister hotel 2 min walk away with many more facilities and looked ten times nicer, for no extra cost. accepted offer, went elsewhere, much much nicer place called 1000 miles hotel :)

My stay at The Explorer's Guesthouse

I enjoyed my stay at The Explorers Guesthouse. The staff were friendly, accomodating and very helpful. The Guesthouse is plain but when you enter there is a hominess about the place. It is a haven for backpackers but it was amazing to listen to the stories they had. It was like reading a book except you heard it live. THE Guest house is a short walk to Chinatown, The Central Market, a multitude of restaurants and the mass transit system. I felt safe walking alone both day and night. The Guesthouse was clean and always smelled fresh. The shared bathrooms were just as clean. Toast, coffee and tea were offered every morning on a self serve basis. Actually, the coffee and tea are available anytime. The rooms are small but not too small. I had a private room but there are shared rooms as well-Backpackers are always trying to save money. It is not a fancy place but, as I stated before, it is very homey. I found The Explorer's Guesthouse refeshing and down to earth and I wouldn't hesitate staying there again.

Social hostel with great staff, close to Chinatown

Explorers is so close to central market, the main Chinatown drag and Pasar Seni station (just one stop from Sentral). It almost doesn't matter that they're a great hostel too. Clean, chilled out and a great place to make friends.

Everything is good.staff is great and helpful. Good location. Near the LRT station. Easy to access from the airport. Near the China town, central market and other sightseeing place. No wifi only available in lobby.people stay there to get the wifi, so you can talk and meet new friend. It is my first time to stay in hostel. I really love it.

Pleasant Hostel close to everything.

This was an overall pleasant stay. I requested single room in this hostel and was given a room two floors above the entry level. Clean facilities and shower. Hot water shower is available but heat of Kuala Lampur will make you appreciate the shower without turning the heater. There is no help available to take your luggage to higher floors and internet is only available in lobby.

in the heart of KL Chinatown (3.5 stars out of 5)

Located in the heart of KL Chinatown, it's a haven for backpackers from around the world. PROS: reasonable rates; helpful staff; good front-door security system // CONS: wi-fi in the lobby only (not in the rooms); very basic breakfast (bread, jam & coffee/tea); no private bath (shared co-ed bathroom per floor); basically, no furniture in the room; leaving shoes in the lobby area (no shoes in rooms). It was my teenage son's first backpacker hostel experience. He liked it.

Already wanting to go back.

Very clean and efficient! Super close to everything, we walked everywhere. Own a/c in room was a big plus. Very tidy bathroom/kitchen/lounge. Superb value for money.

Lovely hostel

This guest house is more like a hostel, and has nice sociable atmosphere if you're looking to meet fellow travellers, but is also quiet if that's what you're looking for. The staff was friendly and informative. I gave 4 out of 5 as the room wasn't cleaned (didn't bother us, but something we came to expect after months of traveling) and internet only worked in the common area downstairs. Also gave 4 out of 5 to room comfort as there was no proper place to hang or put away your stuff and some sockets didn't work. Overall very nice and good location for tourists.

Great hostel!

Stayed there for 5 nights over new year, great location right next to China town and the reggae bar should you be looking to meet up with other travellers, staff are friendly and really helpful. Showers and toilets are nice and clean. You can walk to the towers in about 20 - 30 minutes or just go a couple of stops on the public transport, there is a bus stop right outside the hotel going into town. They have a great public area of its a big tv, wifi, unlimited tea and coffee, they sell beer at the front desk. Dorms have good air conditioning. Would recomend, I met loads of other travellers while staying there.

little gem

only stayed one night, very conveniently located short distance from train station...if you can read a map! the first room was smelly ( feet) the staff had no qualms in changing rooms, they were very friendly and helpful. breakfast was adequate but would def stay there again. value for money for sure.

Perfect home in a foreign place.

Good location is so crucial when you really travel there. Apart from strategic location, it is cozy, romantic and convenient. Much better than a budget hotel.

The Explorers Guesthouse

The location was good, across the road from China town with lots of places to eat, Central and China town markets less than a five minute walk away, and only 5-10 minute walk from the closest train station. Friendly staff, who were always willing to help out with any questions or advice on which day trips to take. Facilities were clean and modern. The only negative I could think of was the wifi only worked on the ground floor, not in the rooms.

Value for money and brilliant

I went for 1 week and stayed whilst I attended a friend's wedding. I thought "hostel -it's gonna be noisy, unclean, unhelpful, but hey ho it's cheap." To my surprise, it was clean, comfortable, there is always someone friendly at reception that helped with taxis and advice. Whilst I was there, it was full of hippy travellers in their mid twenties that were travelling around SE Asia and so there weren't loudish brutes that kept up all night making noise. In fact the nights were very quiet. I would definitely stay again

Amazing Guesthouse Located in KL's Heart

Had a good experience at the Guesthouse. Was staying in the Twin-sharing room (No Windows). You have access to the roof which offers a pleasant view. The rooms are clean. The bathrooms and loos are also well maintained (shared). Would advise you to get your own shampoo and shower gel if possible. The lady at the front desk, Ivy, is a gem of a person. Very helpful and gives good advice. You get to meet a lot of people from all around the world. They serve free breakfast (Bread with a choice of spreads plus Tea/Coffee) and there is free high speed internet access. Overall, fantastic experience at this place. Much recommended!

旅館附近有中央藝術坊 (Central Market), 走路到茨廠街市場 (Jalan Petaling) 或是嘉美回教堂 ( MasjidJamek )也很近. 櫃台的服務人員也很友善

Man vælger et sted pga WiFi, og så dur det ikke 2 ud af 3 dage. Useriøst at de ikke får en tekniker hurtig ud. Værelset. Beskidt. Kakkerlakker. Svampelignede substans på vægge. Værelset lugtede meget indelukket og var ikke til at sove i. Helt sikkert ikke sundt. Ellers flinkt personale. Morgenmad bestod af kaffe/the og toast

Centralt beliggende

Boede her ad to omgange. Først i værelse 208 og en uge senere i værelse 201. Værelse 208.:God seng. Intet vindue. God aircondition. Ingen trafikstøj. Badeværelse lige overfor. Værelse 201 har vinduer ud mod gaden. Trafikstøjen hører man ikke på grund af en støjende og ikke virkende aircondition (mangler nok bare rensning og kølemiddel). Så sov med åbent vindue. Udsigt til toppen af Menara Dayabimi bygningen. Værelset virker lidt større end værelse 208. Om stedet: god wifi i lobbyen (ingen wifi på værelserne). Renlighed afhænger nok meget at gæsterne den pågældende dag (de ansatte gør hvad de kan for at holde orden). Tag sko med op på værelset (der sker let forbytninger). Enkel morgenmad bestående af hvidt brød/kaffe/te. Centralt placeret i rolige omgivelser (stedets størst styrke). Der er tagterasse med en smule udsigt. Bor her gerne igen på grund af beliggenheden og den afslappede stemning.

安全性に不安がある宿。 部屋の鍵やロッカーの鍵に不安が。 共同のトイレやシャワー室の鍵もこわれたまま。 清潔な感じがない。 スタッフの感じは悪くなかった。

ロビーが広くて快適だった。

とても綺麗でシャワーも温度調節が容易で石鹸も用意してあった。静かな場所に位置していながらショッピンモールも近かった。スタッフはフレンドリーでとても親切だった。

Chambre confortable et propre, personnel très sympathique. Seuls bémols : l'air conditionné était bruyant et les toilettes avaient une légère odeur qui laissait à désirer (ne vous méprenez pas sur ce dernier point: rien d'insalubre)

セントラルマーケット、チャイナタウン近くて便利。 深夜は治安があんまり良くなさそうなので、一人歩きはあまりおすすめできません。

Agradável

Guesthouse agradável. Boa localização, perto de Chinatown, Market, estação de trem, pontos de ônibus. O quarto era bom é o banheiro limpo. Wi-Fi não funciona nos quartos, apenas no hall. Café da manhã muito básico, apenas torradas e café.

チャイナタウンそばにある、設備のしっかりしたゲストハウスです。 玄関から土足禁止で、入館にはフロントのチェックがあります。 道路に面した部屋は騒音がありますが、耳栓があれば大丈夫でしょう。 スリッパを持参すると、足の裏が汚れなくていいと思います。 日本人旅行者の利用はあまり無いようで、英語が出来ない方にはオススメできません。

コンビニエンスストア（セブンイレブン、ローカルなＫＫ）まで徒歩2分、隣がローカルレストラン（夕方まで、美味しい、安い）、道路を渡り徒歩2分インド料理店（安い、美味しい、夜10時過ぎまで営業）、チャイナタウンの屋台街の入り口まで徒歩2分、ＧＯＫＬ（市内無料循環バス）パープルライン始発がＰａｓａｒ　Ｓｅｎｉ駅、 ゲストハウス内は土足禁止なので綺麗、スタッフはフレンドリー、親切でとても良い。チェックイン時にブランケットとバスタオルを渡される、鍵の保証金に30リンギ必要、10人男女混合部屋に宿泊、廊下に３０㎝×３０㎝ほどの鍵のかかるロッカーあり、二段ベッドにカーテンはなく枕元に電源１ケとライトがある、シーツはキレイ、エアコンは快調、トイレットペーパーがある綺麗なトイレ、シャワールームはシャンプー、ボディソープがあり水量は弱いがお湯が出る。朝食付き（トースト、バター、ジャム類、コーヒー、紅茶）２４時間コーヒー、紅茶OK。 日本語は通じないがスタッフは皆さん英語ができます、とても親切なので英語が出来なくても大丈夫です。宿泊客の８割~9割が欧米人で2割~1割が中国系か日本人だと感じました。 クアラルンプールのゲストハウスを検討している方にはお勧めできると思います。

No regret.

It is a quite good location just near by china town ,central market and passar seni subway station and bus station. Also you can get to bukit bintang ,♡ KL tower and even twin tower by walk. Or you can take a purple line free bus in passar seni bus station right across from centrsl market when you wanna get main places above. Especially the owner of this guest house is very kind and helpful .he likes also travelling so he understands very well about travellers. It was my first time to stay there but if I have a chance to visit Malaysia then I would like to stay there again.

Good but too expensive

Overall the hostel is quite good. But the dorms are way to expensive for the value you get. You will easily be able to find a hostel with a simple dorm, wifi in the lobby and toast bread breakfast for 25-30 RM.

LRT역과 차이나타운에서의 접근성은 Good

서양 배낭여행족이 많이 찾는 게스트하우스라서 북적거림이 있었지만, 문을 닫으면 소음은 들리지 않아서 전체 여행 기간 중 3일을 머무르는데는 크게 문제가 없었다. 공용 샤워공간에 샤워부스가 딱 2개라서 비어있는지 잘 살펴야하는 약간의 단점이 있었는데, 이 정도 수준의 가격에 시절이면 전반적으로 만족할만 했다.

Localizado perto da estação do metrô e do mercado em Chinatown. Staff atento, café da manhã simples porém gostoso, o wifi só funciona no saguão principal. Banheiros limpos, quartos espaçosos. Custo benefício muito bom. Me hospedaria novamente.

Guesthouse is very nice and and staff also very friendly. Shared bathrooms are clean adn pretty new ones. Location is good, only few minutes from China town, Central market and Pasar Seni metrostation. I would highly recommend this for backpackers.

OK para una noche

El personal es muy amable, ellos hacen que todo mejore. Me toco en un tercer piso y no hay elevador. La habitación no era muy buena y el olor no muy agradable (aunque probablemente no sea culpa del hostal). No es complicado llegar desde el aeropuerto. Hay lugares para comer en la zona y la estación del metro cerca. El desayuno es sencillo, solamente pan y cafe.

Good place to stay in KL

Nice, clean hostel. Only jag wifi in the common area and that made it quite crowded in those areas from time to time. Otherwise it was a nice stay, not the best place we've stayed at but one of the better ones!

Very good location. Close to Chinatown. Convenient to get a ride of free purple line (near Hotel Geo, only 3 minutes away) to Bukit Bintang. Very helpful staff. Free tea and coffee 24 hours. Breakfast is quite simple by going with bread and jams...Anyway, it's still good for your money~~

Good Backpacker

地點很不錯，是CP值很高的背包客棧，非常適合背包客入住

房客以外國人居多，要練習英文是很好的地方，房間很乾淨，早餐在時間內可以無限次數享用，服務人員態度很好，有什麼問題都可以請教他們!

有幾位櫃台的態度很惡劣

原先預定的Mixed dorm人數在網站沒寫清楚，到現場櫃台才告知在Hotels.ocm訂的價錢只能住宿十人房，(明明付的是現場四人房的價格)看了房間覺得很小而且安排在上舖，只是要求櫃台換到下舖，櫃台表示沒有空位，但我剛好看到有下舖的人正要退房，跟櫃台反應，他才說再幫我安排，叫我先還鑰匙，晚上再來Check-in，但住宿押金已經先付了，原本告知退房時還鑰匙才退錢，因此我還鑰匙同時請求先退押金，櫃台人員態度就開始變得很差勁！說他們有監視器，區區小錢難道怕他們不還錢？後來才勉強將整張訂房單夾著押金給我叫我自己保管；離開前詢問是否可以寄放大件行李，櫃台說最好我自己拿走，放在旅館不安全，態度很差，臉色也很臭。 由於已經線上付款，硬著頭皮晚上回來Check-in，原想又要遇見上午的櫃台人員，心情很糟糕，還好晚班的櫃台人員態度很好，安排的下舖原本被其他房客佔用，櫃台說我可以將對方東西移走，畢竟鑰匙上都有床號，已安排下舖給我，而且晚班櫃台有介紹隔天有免費早餐，而且也可以寄放行李，叫我不用擔心。 如果要入住還要看櫃台臉色，一想到早班態度惡劣的櫃台人員，下次不會再入住！

비교적 괜찮음

주변이 다소 위험하다는 느낌이 들었으나,게스트하우 내부 자체는 안전하다는 느낌을 받았다. 그리고 현지 청결도와 비교했을 때는 꽤 깔끔한 편이었던 것 같다.
