A beautiful hotel that oversees the Alamo museum. Staffs are friendly and welcoming. Buffet breakfast ( need to pay) is delicious and fresh.
The Emily Morgan hotel is a beautiful hotel. The fact that it is one of the 3rd most haunted hotels in Texas made me feel excited knowing that i was going to stay there. Not much scary things happened, just lots of little noises and the microwave beeping out of no where, and some things falling. It was nice to experience being in the Emily Morgan Hotel.
Good
So convenient to everything. Staff was super friendly
Great customer service! One of the best hotels if you are planning to come to San Antonio, love history and be across the Alamo!
We stayed for several nights at the hotel and used the valet services. At the end of November, we received a letter from the Parking Revenue Recovery Services with whom the hotel contracted with for a bill of $82 of unpaid parking with notice that it will be sent to collection at the beginning of December. I immediately contacted the hotel on 11/24, spoke to a staff whom immediately responded that he does not understand why this parking garage cannot understand the contract with the hotel which implies this is not an uncommon occurrence. He asked me to forward an image of the letter that I received and that it will be addressed by the valet manager. I called again on 11/29 to follow up and once again was reassured that the matter will be taken care of. Since our stay was a good one and for such a reputable hotel, I had no reason to doubt. Several weeks later, I received a letter from a law firm informing us that our bill was sent to collections. As of the time of writing this, I still have not been able to talk to anyone at the hotel beyond front desk staff to address this matter. This is upsetting and extremely unprofessional and unacceptable for such a hotel and for one that is attached to the Hilton name. I will definitely think twice before staying here again!
I’ve stayed at the hotel several times and really enjoy it. Walkable to a lot of places
Proximity to Alamo and Riverwalk
Beautiful, clean and comfortable accommodations with great accessibility to area attractions.
Hot and uncomfortable
Service was friendly our room clean. The air conditioner was not working good and made sleeping hot. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and needed pillows replaced.
Staff was so friendly and very helpful when I had requests. Valet drivers were fast and friendly, even the one who was by himself. Great location to everything downtown at a very reasonable price.
Awesome Hotel!
Great stay! Beautiful historic hotel. Alot of haunted stories attached to this property. Sadly no firsthand experiences after exploring the hotel. Great location, breakfast was good for the price.
I liked every aspect of my stay. The room was very comfortable and clean. Rudy, the clerk at check- in , was very attentive and nice. I would definitely recommend and I will definitely stay here again.
Great stay
Everything was great, just wished they had room service after 11pm. Other than that very affordable and a great experience, friendly helpful staff.
Perfect location
Excellent service. Perfect location. Beautiful building. The furniture in the rooms could use updating soon, but our room was spacious and clean. The grout around the tub was dirty, and the drain was slow. The hotel was more elegant in years past. Otherwise a great stay. Would stay here again.
Great service!
Everything was great, great stay. Thank you!
Service was good, but no place to get a drink or something to eat from 10: am to 6: pm. Also the bar was very understaffed.
I like everything overall me and my husband had a beautiful stay.
Room service was not that great, had to keep going to the front desk to ask for things
Very cool historic building across the street from the Alamo and within walking distance of the riverwalk and tons of restaurants and shops. The bed was very comfortable, the staff was incredibly friendly, the room was clean.
It was a good location but the room was small and dark. Also the check in was confused about which room I was in. Elevator was very slow.
My daughter and I stayed at the Emily Morgan for fours nights. The hotel is beautifully maintained and the staff is kind and helpful. We loved our vacation to San Antonio and will be visiting the city and the Smily Morgan again as soon as possible.
Great stay
Great place, clean, Caleb was very helpful and friendly.
The location is good and close to Alamo and Riverwalk. The staff is nice and polite. The cleanliness is okay probably due to the age of the building and the facilities. If there is a guide to the parking options, that would be great since I was struggling to find a good and safe parking lot.
Had a great stay
Needs new carpet, outside portico very dirty. Needs updating
Too bad the pool wasn't available. The staff was amazing and would go above and beyond.
So so
The location is great but my experience with the hotel was below average. The room was so cold and the AC adjustment did not work. The glasses and water were not refreshed daily. The glass I used on the first day was still on the desk and dirty until I left. The housekeeping and cleanness were def a 1 star.
Mixed feelings
The property is beautiful and we loved the historical qualities. Howver, Not only did the valet service not offer to assist with my family's luggage, we found a fake fingernail in the middle of our floor and a dried up contact on the nightstand. Then the lovely modern walk-in shower ran water into the middle of the bathroom floor getting everything wet.
I love this hotel. The architecture, the history, the location….I would stay here 1,000 times over. If you don’t wanna pay for valet (you can leave and come bac), there is a public parking lot right beside the hotel. It’s a little pricey too $48 a day.
Unique? Next to the Alamo and close to Riverwalk. Also haunted.
Lovely old hotel. Room was dusty though
Easy, nice, but not fussy
Very Nice
It is very clean, nice staff and a great location. Library, bar and room service are great amenities as well as the fitness center.
We had a great stay. Bathrooms need updating, or it looks like they've been updated but not well. Issues getting our car from valet. Waited 20 minutes. Poor guy was there by himself, and had to run 5 blocks to get the cars. Housekeeping left our used coffee mugs in the room. It was probably an oversight. Room had a great sitting area so other family members could come in and hang out. Great location!
Beautiful property. Room luxurious, comfortable and clean.
A
Beautiful historic building, comfortable, clean rooms! Close to shopping, Alamo and other fun things to do downtown.
Esay to access
Great place to stay !
we loved our stay at the emily morgan this weekend
Pool was closed and kids couldn’t swim. Bar food was not good.
No real counter space in the bathroom. Shower was good. Location is great, river a blick away.
Great experience for a weekend away!
Loved the historical building
The room was really dusty… I don’t think that it had been stayed in for a while. There are only two plugs in the room so be prepared! Bathtub was amazing!
Great location, comfy bed, but blah service
The Emily Morgan is quite beautiful, inside and out. Literally across the street from the Alamo. The room was comfy, but TINY. No shampoo in the shower dispenser, and a random towel hanging off the bathroom light. The service at the bar was great as well as the drinks. Breakfast buffet was blah. For $25 we expected more than the typical hotel free breakfast. Only CoffeeMate (gross) for coffee, which we had to ask several times for.Service for breakfast was practically non-existent. Valet guys were nice!
Excellent
The staff were all amazing, and the atmosphere was hands down fabulous. I loved the haunted vibes, the haunts themselves, and that there was no trouble between guests and hunters alike!
A beautiful hotel! Very clean! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Will stay there again!
Emily
Furniture in room was a bit beat up. Bartender not attentive. All else was great. Will stay again.
Was a great hotel experience from the 9th floor on 4th of July!
Perfect for our little getaway
From the moment we arrived, the staff was smiling, helpful and professional. Used the valet, concierge and front desk services. The room was clean, king bed was comfortable. Love the soft supportive pillows! Great view, could see out into the city. We will definitely return!
Rude bar stay and breakfast stay same people
The bar staff was so rude they followed me around the breakfast area being ugly made me put my food back infront of everyone then told me that they will charge it to my room 1st of i thought breakfast was included since there is no sign saying they charge for breakfast i went there thinking it would have been beautiful for our wedding heartbreaking.
Check in was simple and Phill was very friendly and polite. The hotel is amazingly well cared for. Phill also texted me personally to make sure we had access to answers if we had questions.
Great Stay
Great hotel with easy access to the Alamo and other locations in San Antonio.
Great stay!
The hotel was very clean and staff was friendly. Very convenient location.
Johnny and Monica were absolutely the greatest staff members and we can’t wait to go back
Very nice
Almost everything was good about this place. The smell when you walking in was great! Our room wasn’t the room we had booked but it was clean. DO NOT HAVE THE BREAKFAST! We spent 55$ on moldy fruit and over cooked eggs. Coffee station in the dining was messy.
Good hotel and great experience
Is a good hotel, and my view was nice in front of The Alamo, my only concern was that the pool was closed and they weren't aware of this on the website. Valet parking is a little pricey but was worth it because the hotel is a walking distance of downtown. The breakfast is too expensive (21.00) and served the same free option breakfast as other hotels. I chose IHOP which is just 5 minutes distance from this hotel. Customer service is very good they gave me a late checkout at 1 pm. Very spacious room and the beds were comfortable. Definitely, I will come back when the pool is ready to use :)
Emily Morgan San antonio
Comfortable, staff was helpful and courteous. Older building with some wear and tear plugs didn’t work great but other than that it was clean, staff was great and had a comfortable stay
Pool was closed
Everything was nice but the pool was closed that wasn’t on the website when I hooked it
Very nice hotel and nice staff
Check in was late on a Thursday night. Staff member was not very friendly. After making the drive I would have expected a smile at least. Everything else good.
We took a quick weekend trip to San Antonio with our children's. The Hotel was amazing, we would definitely stay here again.
The bar was nice. Great location. Convenient to Alamodome!
Great property an the room was very nice. The air conditioning was not as effective as I would like it. In all fairness, it was extremely hot and humid in San Antonio at the time of our visit. It is an older hotel, but right across the street is the Alamo and the river walk and shopping are in walking distance from the hotel. The valet parking was $47 per day, which seems to be pricy, but I think that’s the going rate for the private covered garage parking downtown. Just remember that the closer you are to the attractions you want to visit, the more expensive the room rates and parking. With the heat, we were more interested in convenience, then cost, so it was no big deal.
No air conditioning and it’s 100° outside
The staff was amazing!! Thank you Lee and Ashley!
It wasn’t terrible but when comparing the deluxe king room at the Emily to rooms at the Menger and Westin we have stayed at, it was lack luster. The pool is closed until July which was disappointing. The bath tub also didn’t properly drain. The ac was weak but that’s common with older riverwalk hotels. If your looking for decent amenities I would look elsewhere.
Great hotel
Everything was perfect, valet was efficient and great location.
When we checked in, there was no hot water, so we had to take cold showers. The jacuzzi was not working, the Wi-Fi was down, and the pool was under maintenance. I booked this for our honeymoon night, but it turned into a horrible experience with no proper communication from the hotel. I contacted Expedia, and a representative named Wuhan tried to reach the hotel but couldn't get in touch. He raised a service request and informed me that someone would contact me within 72 hours to process a refund. I paid $200 for my honeymoon, and I was unable to enjoy it.
Beautiful building right next to the Alamo and easy walking to the Riverwalk.
Hidden fees
This day was fine very comfortable very clean the room what I do not like is a hidden fees if they are going to attack on $120 when you get there to check in that should be told to you ahead of time.
The location of this property is perfect.
We enjoyed our visit
Mike and Mel
This was our first time to stay at the Emily Morgan and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Every element of our stay was great!
Love Emily
Great place for a stay in San Antonio. Loved the bar and restaurant. It checks all the boxes.
This hotel was a great find! You are right next to the Alamo and so many restaurants and shops. Parking is valet only but they were a great service!
Pool was closed and did not know that ahead of time, I really wanted to know that. When you walk in the lobby, it smelled so bad I kept sneezing. But our room was really big and nice and I loved the location
We reserved a room with two queen beds through a non-refundable arrangement due to having two children under 2 years old. However, upon check-in, we were assigned a room with one double bed and a sofa on the side. Despite our request for the room with two queen beds, we were informed that all such rooms were already occupied and that only the official website accurately displayed room availability. We felt deceived, but because it was late, we reluctantly checked in. Had we known beforehand, we would have never booked the room.
Cold water
The hot water was not working for much of our time there. After traipsing around in the desert and getting sweaty, the cold showers were invigorating, but not enjoyable. The room was nice, but very generic. For a historical building I was expecting something slightly more unique.
Unsafe outside die to The mayor of San Antonio
Not a 5 star hotel
Very small rooms. Very run down hotel. Peeling paint and finishes. Dusty and old smelling. Would not recommend
Family Trip
Great location!! walking distance to the Alamo and Riverwalk
Super clean and quiet, perfect location!
The Bar was not open during the day or after 10pm. The AC was very difficult to control in the room.
We selected this particular hotel because it’s haunted and my kid loves that! The history of the hotel is very interesting! The room was clean and nice. My only complaint is the cost of the breakfast in the hotel restaurant… it’s pretty crazy! They should at least offer bottomless mimosas with those prices
The hotel is a bit old but clean and everyone was kind and professional. Across the street from the Alamo and close to shops and Riverwalk.
Beautiful building, but interior is run down and. Or well cared for. There is limited restaurant and bar service between main meal times. Water was lukewarm at best, and the room decor was old, dusty and tired. For the price, the quality was poor. However, the staff was amazing. They deserve to work in a property with some TLC. Special thanks to Johnny Sauceda. Location is incredible. Hilton should invest some money in interior renovations, and bring the property up to standard. I would not stay again until it is renovated.
There was No hot water, No phone in the room, No wifi access. I called on ALL of these issues and only received a broken phone. I had to set it up myself in my room as someone just brought it to my door and even though it lit up was charging and plugged correctly it STILL did not work. There was absolutely NO hot water and thats fine if its not HOTTT but it was freezing cold. Un-shower-able! Called about that and while i was in the bathroom someone knocked once and then walked in. I nervously jumped up and peeked out and a full grown man was in my room!!! What in the world. I was in the bathroom, trying to take a shower so obviously asked him to wait as I get dressed fully and he goes outside my door and then im dressed in minutes and he is gone! At this point i had to work so i leave but I need basis amenities and DID NOT go back. $700 for one terri le night! I thought it was a fancy, luxury downtown hotel with history and grandeur but this place is just HISTORY! DO NOT WASTW YOUR MONEY! I am going to try to get a refund, something, because $700 is outrageous and this place is HORRIBLE!
Beautifully restored property. Perfect location!
Wonderful property. We will definitely be back. Do know that there is construction around the block of the Alamo.
Better options
Great location. Terrible service. Valet is a joke. No bellmen to carry luggage. Restaurant is awful and outrageously expensive. NO heat in room and no one would fix it. Many better options near Alamo. Never coming back again
Over all good experience. The only thing was most of the plugs in the room werent working very well. But we managed the best we could.
Not a fan of valet only parking, especially at $47/night. However, the room and the view were wonderful. Staff at check in were the best.
Beautiful place with great staff
The staff was amazing... very accommodating and friendly. The only issue o have is that i paid for my room when booked and when i got home i noted another charge for 250.00. I haven't had time to çall about that, but it is upsetting because it is my bank account card.
