Great Location
Great location and very nice room. Air conditioning didn’t work that well but otherwise no complaints. Would stay again.
Review
Great hotel great location
At first glance hotel seems nice... but unfortunately our stay of 2 nights... the first room was not clean... there was an actual face cloth sitting on the desk when we got in...I took it as cleaner just left it by accident but i still used my own Wipes to ensure clean but after a bit of time i noticed filth on the upholstery of the chairs and bed... the washroom also smelled of urine... the last straw was when we came back to room it smelled of dirty shoes...needless to say i asked for a different room and they did upgrade us to a much nicer room which was clean.... but then we had noisy neighbors but that is not the hotels fault but maybe needs better room sound insulation....
Awesome choice! Very happy with our decision to stay here.
Great place to stay while in Brussels
The Dominican hotel was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the location was perfect, only a 5 minute walk to Grand Place. The quilts were a bit too warm for the rooms, but other than that, it was lovely.
Great location. Walking distance from the metro, which we took from the Brussels Midi train station. The staff was welcoming and the check in process was easy. We stayed in Brussels for only one night, but we were able to walk to all the things we wanted to see, including Grand Plaza. The room was quiet and spacious and breakfast had many delicious choices. Definitely recommend asking reception to call a taxi for the airport because it's a flat rate, and stress free. I highly recommend The Dominican!
Very friendly staff, well located, good breakfast! Definitely a good option cost/experience wise when staying in Verbier.
The location was perfect and the staff were all very nice. We enjoyed the amenities the hotel had to offer. The room was very nice.
Great hotel
Great location and the room was very comfortable but lots of small issues added up to a less than great experience. Service and food for dinner was off, they kept telling me items were gluten free when they obviously weren’t. We did breakfast the first morning and for the price and quality of hotel, it was not to the level expected. The eggs were powdered eggs! Would not pay for the breakfast. The elevator was also broken so we had to climb stairs and the AC did not really cool the room at all. Great location and very comfortable beds but eat elsewhere.
Central
Very nice place. Close to the conference site and many coffee shops and restaurants.
Very helpful and friendly staff Lovely bar area Pricing algorithm made our second night much more expensive than the first night
AC didn’t work and there wasn’t a real mattress. It was just a mattress topper. Super uncomfortable.
Modern, perfectly-located excellent hotel.
Staff is exceptional.
Stayed a few times. Wasn’t so good heating not working properly and service very slow this time. Not as good as it was.
Great location and highly recommended
Highly recommended place to stay for both business and personal. Nice to have a decent gym and wellness experience. Staff were super helpful and accommodating. I’ll go back for sure .
Enjoyed my stay
An amazing hotel!
What an amazing hotel. Had such a lovely atmosphere and all staff were super friendly. Our room was warm and comfortable and all communal areas were so cosy. We would absolutely stay here again and can’t recommend enough. Really great location too.
We rented 2 rooms for 4 nights. Housekeeping didnt show up on one of the days. Had to call multiple times just to get fresh towels. Next day, they did show up but left the room smelling of sewage. Had to make many calls and trips to front desk just to have housekeeping come back and spray deodorant in the room. Both our rooms had mildew in showers, toilets and on showerhead, which was not addressed during our stay despite our complaint on the first day.
Great place in the city center. Walkable areas and close to bars and restaurants.
Hotel was fantastic. Staff were amazing, so friendly every single one of them. Room was lovely and so central. Was a really great stay.
I stayed in room 214 there was thick dust on the skirting boards near the window. They had no butter for toast at breakfast on our second morning which was dissapointing. Lady on breakfast checking in was a little abrupt on the first morning but was better on the second morning. Overall enjoyed my stay.
Great other and overall The breakfast buffet is a bit limited
Very classy hotel, grand public areas, good facilities and a great location. My wife was very impressed with the Dyson hairdryer in the room. Breakfast is pricey but luxurious and delicious in a beautiful space.
This was an OK property that with a little attention could be great. The lobby and bar and dining are great. The front desk staff is wonderful - but then you get to the room. Carpet is tired and dirty looking. There was quite a bit of mold and mildew around tub fixtures and tile. The maid was very ambivalent about fully restocking the room each day. We staid 4 nights. While there, we were lucky to get the room refreshed by 3 or 4. The day we checked out she was hovering in the hallway by 9. For the price - the room was fine but definitely not up to luxury standards.
Beautiful hotel, located in best Brussels location walkable/short distance to all historical sites and European EU parliament, with great access to local restaurants and bars. Room service/refresh can definitely improve. Overall enjoyed my stay at Dominican
5 star hotel at a 4 star price
Lovely hotel, great location and first rate staff
Absolutely beautiful hotel, the décor throughout is stunning. (You’ll also hear the sounds of monks chanting in the lifts… a nice touch for a property named The Dominican). My room was quite nice, my bed was deliciously comfortable. In a great location for shopping and exploring the city. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful!
Very friendly and accommodating!
Got upgraded to the courtyard view room, which was nice of them. The room was fine, nothing remarkable but nice enough. We enjoyed a drink in the courtyard on a sunny Sunday afternoon, very peaceful. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location to walk to shopping, restaurants, central station, etc.
Really lovely hotel.is a fantastic location, you are only a 10 minute walk from all the big tourist attractions in Brussels. The fantastic fish restaurants I St Katharine's are 15 mins away and the classic Mort Subite is a very short walk away. We are out at the Rugbyman 2 (fantastic food and good value) which was a short walk from the hotel. The staff I the hotel are excellent as is the hotel itself, the Domican is a fantastic spot from which to explore Brussels.
Beautiful property.
Location very close to train station restaurants and subway.
The staff was exceptional, the music in the elevators charming, and the location perfect for enjoying our first time in Brussels.
My son and i spent our first week ever in Brussels. This was a fantastic hotel. I cant write enough good things about it. Staff was super nice, breakfast and dinner we're delicious- many options. We had a wonderful stay. The room overlooking the courtyard was clean and beautiful.
Great location, highly recommended!
The Dominican Brussels
An excellent hotel, beautiful spaces, very central. The front of house team were incredible. Nothing was too much trouble. The teams in the restaurant and bar were also excellent. Cannot fault this place. Will definitely stay here again.
Great stay, highly recommend!
Beautiful hotel.Friendly, helpful staff.
Excellent hotel
Great boutique hotel
Very nice hotel in a central location. Comfortable room and a good restaurant in the lobby. Overall I really enjoyed my stay.
Fabulous hotel
A great hotel. Bed was really comfortable. Locations fabulous.
Great location near Grand Place and clean modern facility.
.
Large rooms, centrally located.
Great hotel, friendly staff and perfect location!
Excellent choice, clean, comfortable, best location. Walkable to the train station, a few steps from the center square. We had interactions with different front desk staff throughout our 3day stay, but the girl (sorry, don't know her name) with a Vattel sweater was the most helpful, pleasant and welcoming. This will be our hotel choice when in Brussels
It was a good hotel with a very comfortable bedroom. The shower floor was dangerous , very slippery, for an older person and suggest rubber mat. No view from window but quiet and comfortable. Staff were good - fetched some forgotten items from my bedroom! Penelope Reid
Spectacular hotel!
The Dominican is an amazing hotel, close proximity to central station, restaurants and major site seeing areas! The ambiance is relaxing and on point, and the staff is very helpful and nice. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, it is worth it!
Very nice and helpful stuff. Beautiful clean hotel, great location
Good location - less than 10 minute walk to train station. about a 5 minute walk to the "grand place" Room was sizeable. Good bed.. pillows a bit on the soft side. Bathroom was good size. Had a large soaking tub. Shower head was great.
One of the best showers I’ve ever used. Not sure how many gallons per minute the shower head releases, but I joke with my wife about it being 10 gallons per minute. There was so much water that I didn’t even open the valve all the way. The shower steam set off the smoke alarm in our room. It must be a common issue there, because the front desk called us and asked us to open the room window and shut the bathroom doors. The hotel is expensive, but that seems to be the case with nearly every hotel in Brussels. My only complaint was the bartender in the bar. We waited more than 10 minutes to get served in a bar that wasn’t very crowded. After not being attended to, we left. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
I booked The Dominican out of despair as all hotels I knew were fully booked. But the hotel was a pleasant surprise on every account: charming, comfortable, great service, fantastic location. Will visit again.
Was super close to everything we wanted to do, and the rooms were comfortable and cute.
I was there in January and it was such a good location. I got that indication from Rick Steves book.
The staff as very helpful and polite. The ambiance at the hotel is very cosy and welcoming. Wish the rooms were bigger
Highly recommended
I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The service provided by the staff was impeccable, and the food offered at the hotel's restaurant was absolutely delicious. From check-in to check-out, everything ran smoothly, and I felt genuinely cared for as a guest. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable accommodation experience.
excellent - relaxing retreat in the city centre
Good hotel in good location
Rooms were a good size, nice and clean. Bathroom good and clean. Didn't use any of the other hotel facilities. Good location
Just ok
This is my third stay at the Dominican and the experience has declined so I’d look to another better option next time. Location can’t be beat. Another huge perk was they were not hesitant to give me a later checkout than 11am. He gave me til 2pm. Place was clean but housekeeping was hit or miss so dirty dishes and crumbs on the silly doilie that they put on coffee table. Shower head had temperature issues - too hold or too cold from the slightest adjustments Bed is terrible on your back, too soft and sunken in (time for upgrade) Room air con is terrible during winter and doesn’t work to counter the extreme heat that is on. While i appreciate the warmth, it was simple too hot to sleep under huge comforters (woke up sweaty and I normally don’t run hot) had to sleep with windows open (same for my last stay) Came during summer and AC wasn’t an issue. Overall not satisfied.
Fabulous hotel in a perfect central location
We found the hotel very nice. Very close to Brussels Centraal and within easy walking distance to shopping, dining, and the Grand Palace. You can easily get to all of Brussels from here
We enjoyed our Christmas stay at The Dominican. The location was perfect, as we wanted to be able to walk about the town without undue reliance on the transportation system. Nice hotel in an historic structure, nice room. Clearly deserving its four star status. The only drawback we encountered was extremely slow service in the restaurant and bar. It appeared that the problem was a lack of staff rather than the pace of the service providers. At one point, a single person was tending the bar (for both the bar and restaurant), as well as servicing the tables. She was working at quite a pace, while remaining friendly. But to be the bartender and table server for about 10 to 12 tables was too much to ask. Perhaps the Christmas season traffic was too much for the hotel to handle and had no capability to add additional staff. Would we return to the Dominican? Probably so, given its location and physical attributes. We would just depend more on the many other choices for our dining and drinking.
Staff are very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We didn’t eat at the hotel, so can’t comment on the food.we would definitely recommend this hotel for location and will return ourselves.
Such a shame
Staff wonderful with the exception of one of the bar staff who was unbelievably awful, rude, aggressive and completely ruined our stay. Not through anything we had done, she just chose to bang chairs around, kick off with her colleague and then be rude to customers. If you are wondering if it’s a one off, no, she was the same the following night. Sadly, management didn’t seem to want to tackle her behaviour and instead gave us a bottle of champagne. We didn’t want the champagne, we refused the champagne, they still gave us the champagne….. and no, we didn’t drink it. Such a shame, beautiful building, otherwise great staff and could be amazing. Rooms could be cleaner. Lots of money for an aggressively average stay.
Lovely staff and high quality public areas. Rooms beginning to look a bit worn and no hot water in final morning. But that didnt spoil an otherwise lovely stay
Average
Very nice service from reception but the room was not clean. They need to spend some money updating the ancient tv too. No usb sockets.
The hotel was within walking distance to shopping and attractions.
Wall seems thin and voice of next door and upper floor was so annoyed and could not sleep at all Outside was noisy every night until 2 or 3 AM
High class hotel; immaculate in a great central location.
rooms could be better
Great location, beautiful from the outside, but the room was outdated, ugly carpet and not updated as the rest of the hotel was.
I've stayed at the Dominican quite a few times over the years and it's one of my favourite hotels but this time it didn't meet my expectations. Firstly the room we were allocated (436) had a strange wooden shutter-like contraption outside the very small window which made the room feel like a prison! If I had been booked in for more than one night I would have asked for a different room. Secondly the complimentary bottle of water had been opened by a previous guest and was half empty and finally there was no remote control for the TV and it took an hour to get one sent up to us. Nevertheless the reception and bar staff were all excellent as per usual. Hopefully next time all will be back to usual.
Great value top quality
It wasn't far from the Grande Central train station. Lovely big room with a.comfy bed. A bit noisy from the street some nights. Breakfast was good but could be improved. If you go down say around 9 they had run out of somethings like scrambled egg (it was a bit cold too) and bacon However they did replace it
the hotel is really a beautiful site. it’s close enough to the touristic area.
Great hotel and a great location!
This hotel is Superb, I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Brussels. I design very well, bed are comfortable and also, the location is very convenient. We really enjoyed at our stay!
Nice hotel, nice room, comfy bed and pillows. Conveniently located in the city. Would stay again.
Great location - close to great restaurants and shopping.
Great hotel, staff, and location. Needs to have USB ports put in the rooms as there were none. Shower needs larger glass as it was impossible to keep the bathroom floor dry.
Great hotel, great location and the nicest smelling hotel I’ve ever been in!!
Ten out of ten!
A stunning hotel in all respects. Friendly attentive staff who go out of their way to provide excellent service, lush rooms, inner city location but quiet. I will only stay here if I’m Brussels again.
It was great
Very clean cute upscale hotel Very kind staff Quick to respond to my need
Dominican Sept 2023
Clean, quiet and fine food quality & service
This hotel was in a wonderful location. I stayed here for three nights with my friend. We liked the friendly staff , they were very welcoming . The breakfast was good. We loved our server Mamoon .
Terrific hotel, in a great location to see the Old City of Brussels. Wonderful staff. Clean and quiet and lovely rooms.
Very nice hotel. Excellent service. Staff was very helpful on multiple occasions (making reservations, providing umbrellas, etc). Nice touch - they had multiple USB charging ports in each room. Location was good. It was my first time in Brussels so I have no comparison but we walked from the Brussels Central train station in 7 minutes with luggage. We were a block from a set of lively streets with numerous restaurants and shops. Easy walk to the palace as well. The beds were very comfortable. My daughters loved the Dyson hair dryer in their room.
Convenient location. Room was beautifully decorated, with lots of space/storage. Nice bar and restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue was that the room was quite noisy - lots of noise from the road outside and adjoining room.
Phenomenal hotel to stay and a staff that will go out of their way for you.
Excellent
Everything was of a high standard and even better than expected. Staff were very helpful and every area was clean and beautifully presented.
Elegant hotel, staff friendly, feels good vibe.
One of the best hotels, friendly staff, great location, comfotable room, everything was perfect, definitely will book again there.
Great location. Close to everything. Staff was extremely pleasant. Room was spacious and updated. Would recommend.
Beautiful hotel with great restaurant and friendly staff! Wonderful location! Would absolutely recommend and stay again!!
Close to Grand Place. Next to Ooera house. Streets around are big not very clean.
Grateful for accommodating my check in time. Lovely hotel

The property is nice enough but the room was very hot. Had to call desk at 3am and they brought us a fan. The guy said if cold outside the air conditioner does not cool the room. The fan was OK but lack of sleep from having to deal with poor cooling was bad experience.
