Loved it All staff is super nice and helpful It was always clean Reataurants had great food Bar had great drinks and live music
My 6th stay and the location is good for everything I need to do in Delhi Service is excellent and we enjoyed dinner in Pickwicks both nights Room was comfortable and quiet but the bathroom needs a refurb
This hotel was the perfect start to our India trip. The staff were so attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The choice at breakfast was outstanding, all options from many countries available. I would highly recommend this hotel. The restaurants here are numerous but also very very expensive, so we ate here once and then explored other local options.
Heritage hotel , beautiful and convenient location
Beautiful setting and hotel. Appreciated my upgrade.
A really lovely hotel in a great location. Staff excellent I would highly recommend.
It is a great property. Location was superb. We visited after 38 years. Food was excellent. Five stars.
Room was noisy with two very small beds. Door room so poor you could see the light shine through
Upgraded to room next to service area. Noise was so loud and continuous. Requested room change and down graded to room that had little to offer. Wi-Fi was down more often than not. Made working impossible. Average hotel compared to how it was pre covid.
The rooms are renovated to a high standard. Staff were very helpful and professional. Food was delicious. I was attending a wedding at the venue and it was very beautifully done.
Wonderful
I've stayed at this hotel twice and would stay there again. It is elegant, comfortable and luxurious. The service is excellent and the restaurants are what you would expect of a 5 star international hotel. I was shocked to find that some 5 star hotels in India were vegetarian - but this one caters for all. Slightly pricey but I would still go back.
Absolutely amazing in every respect . Staff , rooms ,restaurant best in the eorld . A total luxury hotel in every style.
Excellent Stay.
Excellent Stay. Stay, Breakfast & Service was Super Good.
Very exceptional service! Beautiful food, rooms & swimming pool!
Service. Service. Service.
Stylish comfort and luxury
This is a delightfully stylish hotel with lots of excellent restaurants. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Staff are outstanding. Have stayed here 3 times and would stay again. Only criticism is expensive alcohol. Everything else was pretty perfect.
I had a terrible experience with the staff while checking in I requested the reception staff for a late check-in and they agreed to it and wrote the same on my check-in document, however, they changed their mind after 2 days the receptionist started calling me around 10 and started bugging me to check out at 12, as my wife was not keeping well I requested them to consider my request but all in vain, then I had to book another hotel. Then at the check out when I showed my displeasure about the services the staff just said sorry which was not helpful at all, I live in the US and have been to many countries but have never seen this kind of service the staff needs to adhere to promises they make at the time of check-in, because when we travel we make days plans according to the promises made by hotel staff. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to any of the fellow travelers its expensive and services are not at par to the amount you pay plus horrible hotel staff
Elegant comfort and luxury
This was our second stay at The Claridges and we will be going back again. It is a lovely oasis from the noise of the city and very comfortable. Only thing to watch out for is the cost of alcoholic beverages. But otherwise, I couldn't fault this hotel.
Noisy Nightclub- kept awake
The hotel has a nightclub. If you like sleep, this is not the hotel for you. My room was in the top floor above the club, booming bass until 3am. I rent reception repeatedly asking when the club would shut? They couldn’t tell me. For an alleged luxury hotel, expecting guests to put up with that noise is unforgivable. Please decide, club or hotel? Exhaustion ruined my last day in Delhi, really not what I expect from this hotel. The hotel wasn’t that bothered, looking at reviews plenty of people complain about this. Another person had checked when she checked in if she could pay in USD, but when she checked out they said no (she only had USD and no access to a card).
.
Friendly staff
Very well furnished but poor upkeep
I was disappointed about a few things. The room was contemporary which was a very good thing. But it faced the parking area and had very little day light. The lighting only had 3 settings so I could not decide which ones to switch on or off. The toilet hand shower was not working. The phone would not dial out to reception, dining or any hotel services. It was not properly fixed even after complaining.
Wonderful service, elegant and interesting
I really like Claridges. The hotel has a lot of character. The rooms are different from each other. There is a whole interesting complex to walk around. The staff there are wonderful- from the desk staff to the breakfast staff to the housekeeping. Very helpful friendly and accommodating without overdoing it. My only real complaint would be that the food is very expensive- especially after all of the taxes get added on. That being said I think the food at both their Thai restaurant and the Chinese restaurant surprised me with the quality- as in people who appreciate authentic cuisine will enjoy it.
Good location. Great place.
Fantastic location. Great staff. Good food. Well fitted out rooms. Only negative was that there seems to be work going on so lots of drilling and banging. My room was changed after I complained. Make sure you get a room without this issue.
Hotel doesn’t accept member privileges
The hotel didn’t accept any of the member privileges / credit vouchers of the Gold Member status. This is the 1st hotel this has happened at.
Excellent hotel but I didn’t like the service I received. Firstly, the paid for dinner is only available for guests at standard restaurant but reception told me I had 4 dining options and I ended up in Italian restaurant Sevilla and after ordering the started I advised that I had already prepaid and it was then that I was advised to go back to the reception area where the standard restaurant was. On my second night whilst taking a call a rude security guard asked if I was patron and asked my room number. Totally unacceptable provocation
Meals included in booking only available at the shuttle class restaurant. I wasn’t told about this and ended up the Italian Restaurant Sevilla. Not good
Best of the best. I love this place!
Very old world charm
The best. Will come back. Thanks for the fruit and flower!
Great food but ongoing building work
Initially given a newly refurbished room but was next to ongoing and very noisy building work, after insisting, we were given room where at 05.30 furniture was moved in function room above so waking us up. Building exterior (by pool) crumbling and tatty. The saving grace was the restaurant buffet which was fantastic for both dinner and breakfast, really good restaurant staff too, great bread, fantastic selection. Hotel were good enough to refund some charges though that took some chasing. If you expect Claridges (London) standard you will be most disappointed.
Nice mid- sized hotel with lovely staff. Great location. Walking through the restaurant to get to the pool is bizarre. The Indian restaurant, Dhaba, is nice but doesn't hold a candle to Bhukara, which it serms to be trying to emulate.
Very friendly staff and perfect room amenities
The AC’s were not effective and did not cool the room. The toilet water faucet was not approachable conveniently. Some of the breakfast items were cold I never recd any VIP access benefits inspite of my asking
We loved our stay! The staff is attentive and the room was absolutely beautiful.
Really nice hotel.
It’s not the property but it’s the staff that made me give it 5 stars. Property gives a very old and rich vibes. We got upgraded to a suite and the room was wonderful. The bed was not long enough for me (6’2) but didn’t matter a lot. Food was very tasty. Will come back again
Very enjoyable stay.
A lovely hotel. We did have an issue over mis-communication but it was eventually resolved to our satisfaction.
Gorgeous classy classic hotel. Old world top service. Lots of restaurants. Very comfortable rooms.
Good
Great service. Some rooms slightly dated but good location and would recommend
Nice hotel with an old style feel. Disappointingly the heritage rooms have no view to speak of. Bar is expensive
Good hotel with excellent choices of multiple restaurants and bars and one club
Decent hotel
Service was very professional and courteous, staff was extremely accommodating and our stay was wonderful!
Excellent hotel and service!
Fantastic property, the staff are all so accommodating and cannot do enough for you. The room was amazing, having newly been renovated. 5/5 for the Claridges in all areas.
Great staff and service
Very nice staff
Great property that’s service oriented.
A beautiful colonial style hotel in the quiet and safe Lutyens district of New Delhi. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
Luxurious without ostentatious. Excellent friendly service.
Excellent service, beautiful and charming hotel
The staff are amazing. When we arrived late at night I was not feeling well and asked about seeing a local doctor. They offered to have a doctor come to the hotel the next morning and see me in our room. Doctor arrived on time the next morning, prescribed some medications which he had delivered to the hotel within an hour. Amazing. I can't thank you enought.
Wonderful stay except for the very noisy parties on both night of my stay which made it impossible to sleep
Our stay at The Claridges Hotel Delhi India
The check in was very good as was the stay and check out. In particular was Ritesh at the front desk who was very helpful.
Loud & Rude....unless you are white.
There is a club in this hotel that is very loud. When I checked in I asked for a quiet room. My white colleague did the same & he received a q"quiet" room, I did not. Every morning when we checked in for breakfast (providing our separate room numbers), I was always asked (while eating with my colleague) "Are you staying at the hotel?" Staff literally watched me struggle with my luggage & provided no assistance. Also under a lot of construction, which is good becasue the bathrooms are moldy.
...
The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The shower in the bath not ideal. The "inner restaurant" is dingy and not pleasant. The breakfast bar can be improved. Dining and drinks very expensive. The bedside electrical console is quite odd, and in my room ,difficult to use.
Excellent
Food was not good. The rooms could be better
Wonderful Property
Hotel is amazing rooms need an upgradation . Food , breakfast everything 10/10
Room service and housekeeping staff were exceptional. Toshi (in room dining) is worth mentioning. Renovations on going hence can be loud during the day. Overall a great stay.
Not worth the name
Run down property, thought efforts to maintain standard is visible. Flush leaking, breakfast arrangements are bad
Overall it was good. Food pricing yoo high compared to food taste as it was awful
This was my second stay at Claridges and it didn’t disappoint. The property has historic charm, but some rooms require some maintenance to really live up to a 5 star feeling. That said, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are all very well trained and friendly. For some reason the WiFi was weak and the pool was unusable during our stay, which was a little disappointing. The breakfast was great and they have an amazing gym with ample staff. One of my favorite aspects of their amenities are and endless supply of clean drinking water kept in glass bottles. It felt great to not have to waste a single plastic bottle during our stay. I would definitely stay at the property again.
No dustbin in toilet area even after complaining..breakfast was not good…very old mattresses…No cleaning before handover the room to me,I showed to their staff they apologized too but not at all look like five star hotel…very bad experience
Our stay at the Claridges was lovely. Transportation to and from the airport was super easy and they went the extra mile when my flight arrive a few minutes late into Delhi to track that and wait. It was convenient to start our tours in the AM and the room was perfectly appointed with an amazing bed!
Was not offered the Rs 500/- and also the faucets were dirty. Room was average. Staff at check-in was decent but no upgrade offers.
Great Location, in a lovely part of the City.
Great Hotel but dated…
Pleasant stay, no issues and also nothing out of ordinary for over compliments either.
The staff and management of Claridges are extremely responsive. I had a problem with the Expedia booking and although Expedia couldn't help me I emailed the reservations manager at Claridges and he took care of it. Not only that, the management upgraded my room and when I checked out I discovered that they also didn't charge me for breakfast for the days I stayed there. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job, and the front office were always available if I needed anything. With a central location, excellent facilities and a wonderful staff, this is the place to stay when you're visiting Delhi. I'm sure I'll be back.
Great location
great location and enjoyed our stay
Very well located and a staff that was excellent. Also, the restaurants were terrific.
Calridges is a NO SHOW
It was the worst stay in a hotel. They did not allow us to carry any sodas or drinks of our own and overcharged us for the ones we had to order from In room dining. They charged us for Ice !! They charged us for connecting the TV to Wifi !! Never have I ever experienced any other 5 star which charges for Ice and connecting TV to wifi. The staff was rude. We did not even spend the night and checked out by 9 pm. At the time of check in the staff openly said this is the worst room and did not agree to upgarde us after showing us better rooms.
Good place to stay, but for the price, I would look elsewhere. The hotel rooms are a bit dated and some of the features like the jacuzzi in the room does not work properly. The staff is good, but service is not prompt. We had to call more than once to get the same service.
Highly recommendable
Just a wonderful hotel perfectly situated in Delhi.
Overall my stay here is awesome. Will visit again.
I liked the old style, the many restaurants, the pool and the proximity to the Lodi Garden where I could walk in the morning. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed my stay and will return again.
Staff is very welcoming and helpful. From security to room service everybody was very helpful.
Terrible, to say the least.
Imagine checking in into a 5 star hotel in central Delhi and you're given a smallest room imaginable with no windows. That is exactly what happened with me. They were unapologetic about it. I told them either change my room, or I would have checked out. They gave me a new room, which they said was an upgrade, but it was terrible. The only thing it had that the previous room didn't was a window and a bigger overall size. The room decor were tacky. There was no harmony in the lighting; the lamp had warm light while the ceiling had cool. The walls and light pink color, making the overall look of the room extremely shady. It actually felt like I checked into a hotel in Paharganj. I am a filmmaker and I was in Delhi for a shoot. Which meant that I was out the whole day. And when I came back to my room every night, I had the same set of soap, shampoo and shower gel in the washroom on all 3 days. They wouldn't even replenish it. I had to call for it. The adjoining rooms made a lot of sounds. So much so, that every time someone rang their bell, or knocked their door, I thought someone was at my door. The check-in was also very unpleasant, as there was drilling work going on. Not something one would imagine at 7-8pm. Even at the checkout, the staff was very impolite, with no questions about my stay whatsoever. I will never ever even consider going there back again and will make sure my team members and my friends do the same.
Property is good and centrally located. Room service was good. Restaurant service was not up to the mark and was very slow. Nothing unique about the property
Location is good, garden is good, rooms are good, size of rooms are good, food is excellent
Great hospitality, very clean property and friendly staff.
Sleepless stay
I was extremely disappointed as I could not sleep for at-least 3/4 nights. There were loud noises, laughters and appeared that I am at a Old Delhi station than in a 5 star hotel. Had to call reception every-night ar 2 am to please do something to stop this. Agree guests can sometimes be loud, but if this is constant and passes beyond midnight then Hotel staff should move from chair and do needful.
Rude staff and poor customer service.
The hotel Claridges in Delhi have some weird policies and extreme rude floor manager who give excuses that his voice tone is rude, then get out of the 5 Star Hotel job and find job in collections. No one explained visitor policies and was rude with my friend visiting me after long time. This is a hotel not a hospital where you cannot allow visitors or not a boys hostel where warden governs the visitor time. Asked for cutlery 100 times, after big efforts got disposable cutlery sent to room reflecting the hotel class. When asked to show policy explanation, asked me to read fine prints. Common who read 200 pages of fine prints. Will not stay again. Not recommended for ppl with friends and family. Not worth a single cent.
Elegant luxury in the heart of India.
It was incredible, says it was amazing, with a wonderful view with polite staff, room service and all things that a 5 star hotel can offer you and more, if I ever visit that area I am sure I will book the hotel again.
The worse hotel in Delhi. We had to change our room at 1 Oclock in the night, as their heating was not working we were ice cold. Rooms have musty smell, bathtub had spider The staff kept lying. We did not sleep all night. As soon as morning came we ran down and told them how bad it was. They were keeping us warm with coffee and tea. I asked them to pay my money which they did but they charged me for one night for a dirty cold room. I would never recommend it to any of my friends. Never.
Pleasant, traditional, heritage style hotel in the heart of New Delhi
We had a rather challenging day and from the minute we checked in that was all forgotten about. We received a free complimentary bottle on wine in our room when went down very well and helped for a great nights sleep. The rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. The amenities are gorgeous. My only complaint would be the price of Masala tea. we had an hour until our pick up and transfer to the airport and as we had checked out we thought we might have a cup of tea and sit in the garden until we were picked up. We ordered a tea from the coffee shop, Pickwicks, as instructed by staff as there is no service in the garden and were given two small takeaway cups of Masala tea which cost us Rs884... nearly A$20! That is a blatant rip off and had we have been advised the price before ordering we would not have ordered it.
Everything about this property is excellent, old style comfort & elegance. All restaurants have different menu options with great chefs. Pickwick offers wide variety in their buffets, which are very reasonably priced considering the quality. Dhaba offers Indian” truck stop “ delicacies that are authentic. Jade’s oriental options extend the culinary oeuvre for Claridges. Their meeting & ballrooms , business-help & amenities make them equally hospitable to both business clientele & vacationers.
the "casita" rooms while lovely and spacious - are rather dark and windows face parking area (tho masked somewhat by planting)
We had a nice stay at this hotel, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the location is great, in a nice clean area of Delhi close to the embassies. The pool area was also very nice. The only downside was that the room was a lot more shabby than I expected and looked like it needed some updating / thorough cleaning as it seemed a little bit dusty in places. We enjoyed the oriental restaurant, the food was lovely! But the Sevilla restaurant for us was a let down - we went on Valentine’s Day so it was a set menu and we didn’t really enjoy any of the food we had.. which was very expensive.. also one of the staff members came up to my partner during our meal to ask him to pay the bill which kind of ruined the romantic atmosphere.. we thought this was quite unprofessional. I would stay here again but would just expect a couple of improvements.
Welcoming, Calm Oasis in the Heart of Delhi
This is a repeat stay for me, i stayed in 2016 and now again.I love the Claridges, welcoming personality, service and gentile kindness. It is a home away from home and service that goes above and beyond! I look forward to returning in the up coming years and know that not only the staff will attend to my every need, from the parking attendance, the concierge, the morning staff at breakfast to the cleaners, and everyone who makes all effort to make an enjoyable stay. Can’t wait to return.
Nice quiet area but rooms are a little tired
Comfortable bed and efficient airport transfers. Breakfast and service was excellent. Club room was spacious but furnishings were a little tired and we had no window so natural light. Quiet area near embassies. Restaurant and bar prices expensive
Delightful New Delhi escape-quiet and comfortable
We love this hotel and return every time we are back in Delhi. It is small, reasonably intimate, and has a kind of old-world charm, including afternoon tea in the lush garden. It has an excellent breakfast spread (Pickwick) and a superb restaurant (Dhaba) plus very enjoyable Chines (Jade) and Spanish/Italian (Sevilla) options. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the service very high quality. It's always a pleasure to stay here.
This "heritage" property desperately needs renovations. They are constantly mai
Disappointing Service!!
The establishment was at par: however, apart from the gentleman who checked us in, the rest of the staff had no sense of service. So much so that one lied about no tea being served in the front garden! The stay was a huge disappointment! Never staying at any Claridges establishments in the future.

Every staff person was attentive, focused on my wellbeing and dedicated to their work and representing the hotel. Great value and great place for return trips.
