The room was huge and clean However bathroom very old and dated

Relaxing and peaceful

We had a lovely time at Cardiff Hotel. The place was clean, and the staff were courteous and helpful. We had hot delicious breakfast every morning of different local foods. We got complementary water and juices every other day. Free beach shuttle took us to the beach. We enjoyed our stay and would go again. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family. JB

Absolutely beautiful gardens and friendly helpful staff

Just as I imagined it to be, an old small hotel with much needed manicure care away from the central areas. The food was good, better than other larger hotels and the views out to the ocean is spectacular. This hotel is located on a small hill and away from the ocean. It does not offer entertainment but always host events there. The majority of the staff workers are HEART students. It is advisable to choose the meal package as there's no place close by to buy food independently.

Loved This Place - Great Find!!

Nicer than I expected. Charming hotel with fine dining. The food was amazing. I utilized their room service and it was handled very well. Attractive pool with nice umbrellas and chairs. Pretty manicured lawns around entrance. I loved the Cardiff Hall private beach! The hotel shuttle driver was efficient and a nice guy. Everybody there tries very hard. It was a good find. Will stay again!

Outdated but clean and comfortable

This hotel hands down is my favorite from all others i visited. It was my husband birthday and they decorated complimentary and gave us free drinks as well. The property was beautiful and full of greenery. The staff was so welcoming and professional the services was top tier and great communication. The food was delicious and very appeasing and free breakfast included.The room is big spacious very clean and neat with drinks in the fridge. Good amenties tv ac fridge safe iron board n balcony outside.The pool was warm and perfect and got access to a private beach the prettiest water ive seen. I highly recommend here and i will return soon.

The hotel is clean and room was comfortable. The staff is pleasant and attentive. Michelle was always responsive to and assisted in resolving any issues that arise. The safe in the room did not work. The WiFi and Tv service were unstable.

The Towel holder fell off getting a towel in the bathroom. The TV sounds was bad not clear. The food was very good for.dinner and breakfast.

Enjoy my stay. Hope more flexibility on cancellation for future reservations.

The guard at the gate “what are you here for?” Not welcoming at all. Reception was okay. We arrived early so went to the restaurant and had tasteless soup in a very strange shaped bowl. Not a great start. But 2 servers were very pleasant. The property is very dated. The reception, bedroom and bathroom in particular, straight out of the 70’s. It is clean but the colours make it feel grubby. Room size is generous but the lighting from the lamps is very dim. The view from the little verandah was lovely. Bed was comfy but the pillows thick and hard. A/c cooled nicely, tv stations very limited. Delicious Ackee and saltfish breakfast, again the servers were very pleasant. All in all, fair value for money. Would I stay again ? Probably not.

Calm, peaceful, relaxing

This was my third time staying at the Cardiff Hotel. It is very clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is peaceful and pleasant. The staff are always willing to help. My room had a balcony with chairs where I sat and enjoyed the beautiful view of trees and the ocean. The hotel grounds are well kept with lots of plants and fruit trees. Meals are served outside with the beautiful view. I had the breakfast plan. There was a variety to choose from each day. Breakfast was delicious. I chose traditional Jamaican menu items. During this stay, I used the hotel shuttle to go to the hotel's nearby private beach and I also had a wonderful massage in the spa. I stayed at the hotel for six nights and enjoyed each day.

Was like home away from home. Friendly staff all around. Clean healthy surroundings, fresh air.

The staff and food were great. Property could do with some updating. The environment is very quiet and offers a really relaxing stay. More outdoor seating areas would also be great.

The Cardiff hotel is a very wonderful hotel no to big and very friendly staff. I especially like the fact they have young people working their from the hospitality college next door. I would recommend and definitely Go back.

This is a nice quaint hotel away from the hustle and bustle. The grounds is very beautiful. Rooms are big with alot of space and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. I would stay here again if im looking for something low key and a non all inclusive stay.

We stayed 1 night. The room was very clean and the staff was polite. Our room was over looking the road so we could hear a dog barking most of the night and cars passing. Also the food was not the best.

The staff are very hospitable and friendly. They definitely take care of their guests. The bartender at the pool (Benjamin) is a delight and he has a great rapport with staff and guests.

First off, updating is necessary, both online and facilities, but staff and chef at the restaurant are great! Cardiff Hall has small, uncomfortable beds, with dogs barking all night long. Facilities have not been updated to accommodate for the disabled, as there are stairs and steps all over. Pool is decent, but too close to the main entrance. Management staff lacks customer service skills.

Decent Stay, Food Is Good. No Safes In Any Room. Quiet Area. In-room refrigerator restocked every other day.

July 2023 - Sonya I really liked the Cardiff. Staff was pleasant. The service was good. Like to see all the young people employed. Talk about the food- amazing!!! Authentic Jamaican food.. fried dumpling . Ackee & salt fish, green bananas, liver, . I would definitely stay again and recommend the Cardiff to friends

Cleanliness hospitality and food

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. All are super friendly and helpful. Front desk, restaurant, cleaners, all great. If you are looking for a bustling resort packed with tourists and entertainment, this is not the place. It was quiet and peaceful. Spa service, massage and facial were great. Nice gym, although a bit of pain to request opening every time you want to use. Only drawback, they were renovating a part of the hotel so room was close to street side. A dog, maybe next door, barked several hours every night. I am a light sleeper so very disruptive.

The surroundings was very peaceful, and the breakfast was very good. I like the view of the city and the rooms are very spacious. However, I didn’t like that they were insects crawling about in the rooms. I don’t like that the security keeps asking me for my name and room number while clearly they should be better organized to retrieve this information

Nice clean and quite The spa was great my massage and body scrub by Megan.But my nail technician was horrible

While the staff were friendly and did their best to make our stay comfortable, I would not return. Most amenities were not functioning or fully functional. Our bathroom had a major leak, the power outlets were loose causing devices to short etc. We ended getting a room change but it was filled with bugs. The food is okay and price is cheap compared to other hotels or same price range, wait staff were pleasant. One of my travel companions ID was left on the scanner during check-in and when staff found it, it did not occur to them to check their files and contact the guest. He had to drive 1.5 hrs each way to retrieve the ID when we realised it was missing.

Friendly staff an loved the fresh Jamaican food this place needs a updated look but I would still pick this hotel over the RIU all inclusive hotel.

Service was fast, checking in and out was easy, the Staff was very friendly and Polite. My stay was very enjoyable 😉

Hidden gem, property well maintained

Most staff were courteous and helpful, the dining orders could be quite slow in arriving. Lovely quaint place. Really nice young folks getting into hospitality service.

The overall stay was amazing brought back so many memories, the food was amazing as well. I will definitely be going back!

Good service

I was impressed and pleased with the overall service. The front desk personnel’s were pleasant,receptive , polite and helpful. The room was very clean.The food was great the presentation and service alike.My only concern was transportation. When I booked via Expedia it stated that shuttle would be provided but I couldn’t get through to the hotel for confirmation so I had to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel . The hotelier did apologize for same.Guest service rep / Allano was exceptionally helpful and polite.This hotel is a hidden gem off the main road sitting on a hill with great view of the ocean.

There was no music band The eating area is too small outside,no wash cloth in unit, front desk service was good

Alano at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant to work with. The restaurant staff was very nice, helpful, and hard working. Food was very good. Would definitely come back.

Check in was quick, clean and tidy room overlooking the sea. Room cleaned with fresh towels every day. Overall great service.

This property is not very busy or large. Dinner is over at 9:30 and seems the bar closes very shortly after. The training staff is very good, they work hard and you can tell some of them are going to be really good one day.

I like the people

dining room staff were courteous and helpful for the most part. The meals were not up to their usual very high standard but were palatable. The drinking water was however was very unsafe and my grandchild was negatively impacted, could have been very sick but for Gods grace. I also enjoyed the beach facilities and the driver was very helpful.

I love that the property is part of the HEART TRUST so most of the staff are trainees, they were all excellent at their jobs! I appreciate the front desk so much, Ms Sherica (not a trainee) who took the initiative to call us back after our credit ran out! The manager, Mrs Cortia Phillips took the time out of her busy schedule to listen to and address the issue we encountered. She is a gem! The food was superb! The property was very clean. The only issue was that construction was being undertaken during the night close to our room which disturbed my sleep, and we were only there for one night! I will definitely stay here again.

Only problem-No internet connection in the room. Other than that, it was a lovely place.

1) Room not ready at check-in time. It took almost one hour for the room to be ready. 2) Room lacks maintenance, broken lamps, and a missing black-out curtain. 3) Water jets in bath tub didn't work

Nice place to chill with your family 👪 if you really like a clean and quiet environment. Brakefast was good don't know about the dinner.

The property was ok ; it has potential and I hope the managers and owners can tap into it. The employees are really noisy in the morning; two workers were outside our rooms since 5am none stop loud chattering. Please be mindful of this.

I was not aware that I would have to go up and down steps to access my room. I have severe arthritis and is unable to negotiate all those steps so I checked out after the first night. They refused to refund my money which was outrageous especially after I told them about my condition. So I lost all that money and I had to pay for another hotel that did not have all those those steps NEVER AGAIN

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE WAS THE SPA. IT TOOK A LONG TIME AND THE SERVICE WAS VERY EMBARRASSING. THE MAIL WORKER WAS OUT OF PLACE HE BEHAVES INAPPROPRIATELY LIKE HE IS WAS LOOKING FOR A WIFE. HE NEEDS TO BE RETRAIN. SOMEONE IS GOING TO PUT HIM IN JAIL. FOR UNWANTED SEXUAL TOUCHES. HE USES HIS IMPAIRMENT OF VISSION AS AN EXCUSE FOR HIS SEXUAL ADVANCEMENT.

Cleanliness

The property was beautiful and the staff were so pleasant and attentive. I went to the salon to get my hair done and a massage for me and my bf and trust me the place was in top shape. The room was amazing it was way pass our expectations it was so clean. Let me jus say Cardiff hotel is great u would recommend it for any small get away. Very relaxing and the food is good

Property was cozy. Great vacation spot for the entire family

When my husband and I arrived at the Cardiff, My husband informed the staff we were on our honeymoon. We checked in and waited for about 15 mins for our room. When we were shown to our room, the staff prepared a very romantic room for our arrival. The staff at the Cardiff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and scenery was was beautiful. Beaches and entertainment in close driving distance. My husband and I will revisit the Cardiff Hotel and Spas in the future.

customer service was great, food was great and the grounds is beautiful. The only thing is the rooms and bathroom needs a little update. Great place to stay. Love the pool and the awesome all around view. You get more for you money at this hotel. You must try the spa area the massage did me well.
