We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Beekman Towers. We will definitely look to stay here again on our next trip to NYC!
The apartment was good, the kitchen was well equipped. Although, the heaters make a lot of noise, and is very uncomfortable during the night, while you are asleep. The noise really wakes you up.
Amazing place, amazing staff
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Great locations, great sized rooms
I stayed at this hotel in New York to celebrate New Year’s Eve, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The mattresses on the beds were terrible—extremely uncomfortable and worn out. We were unable to get any proper rest during our stay, which affected our entire trip. For the price we paid, we expected much better quality. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless they improve the condition of their beds.
Hotel is amazing although the rooftop restaurant Ophelia isn’t. Grab a soda enjoy view but food is blah
The heater in the master bedroom made loud noises every two hours (day and night). The heater is located next to the bed so we didn’t sleep good any of the four nights. We reported the issue to the front desk, but no help received. There were no other rooms available according to the front desk. We couldn’t book a anywhere else because it was sold out or unaffordable because of Christmas.
This is a really lovely place to stay, it’s just slightly away from all the hustle and bustle of the centre yet close enough to easily walk to the centre and the park. The staff were lovely, they had a very laid back attitude to the residents which was nice as it made you feel relaxed and at home. They would go out of their way to help you in any way. I cannot fault the place, the apartment was fully equipped making it so easy to cook ‘at home’. I would definitely stay there again!
This was a good option for 5 adults as we rented the 1 bedroom type rooms. We requested foldout couches in our rooms and only received 1 not 2 as requested. This is a no frills place but it was comfortable for our needs. The Ophelia was a young people date place but we went up one night and really enjoyed the amazing views. The food was really good at Ophelia! Make sure that you have a reservation.
Great studio apartment with plenty of space to unpack and a cupboard to store our luggage. The studio was clean, spacious and well equipped with everything we needed for a weeks stay. Location was good with plenty of eating places nearby and were able to walk to 5th Avenue in approximately 25 minutes. There was also a subway 10 minutes walk away. Only negative was that the room was only cleaned once a week and the towels were too small.
NCY top level staff and great views
Hotel was nice and our the way of all the hustle of the city and great size for NYC and pretty comfy. We were provided total privacy and the room was quiet and not overlooked. The room had a few small niggles but that was overridden by the fabulous view we got. It is the staff who make this place top star, they were all so helpful for any little issue. They were friendly and chatty. An extra big shoutout to Hector, as during a holiday that experienced travel and logistic problems he had answers ready and assistance for everything. It’s so nice to have someone take your problems away during a stressy time.
The toilet paper was very thin. When we ran out, we called the front desk to request someone bringing more, but they wouldn’t. The heater constantly made horrible grinding noises. The floor of the elevator was filthy and went days before being vacuumed. However, the location was great.
- Great customer service from all team members at the front desk. - It was a good location and space for the value
Great location. Helpful and friendly service. Cool building.
Love this location, and the full-size rooms with all the amenities are great.
Great experience loved the entire time at this hotel. Great staff. Highly recommend.
Great place to stay!!!
Very well located. Quiet. Helpful personnel. Photographs reflect the reality of the apartment.
Great base for family to explore NYC We had a double room with good kitchen facilities and sofa bed Staff friendly and helpful
the beds/ pillows are very uncomfortable the couch in the siting area as well. other then that the location was good no parking, no breakfast- one coffee machine int he lobby with not so good coffee
LOVED this property- I am so happy that we found this option for staying in Manhattan. I would highly recommend this property!
I feel very safe The staff is very very nice and friendly I definitely came back again 👍👍👍👍👍
OK but a bit tired and overpriced
We booked a one bedroom apartment for three people - with one of us using the foldout bed in the living room. The living space is fine, the kitchen area and bathroom were tiny though. The apartment was generally clean - a few stains on the carpet and generally the place felt a bit tired - the lifts were grubby. The AC was a real problem - it kept coming on full blast at night even when switched off. We were told the AC control has a built in humidity control which cannot be over ridden so we ended up taking the batteries out of the sensor every night - no biggie but inconvenient. Coffee machine downstairs broke down on our first day and remained out of service for the duration. Friendly front desk staff. The location worked for us - a quieter part of the city but still good access to the subway and some good places locally to eat.
Great staff and wonderful rooftop bar.
Very nice area and property. I will stay here again if I am in NY
Short walk to subway but close bus stop and many places to eat near by
Large, comfortable rooms, great location. Reasonable price. Polite, helpful staff. Loved the fancy coffee machine in the lobby!
Has to be the worst hotel I have stayed in and I travel a lot globally. Nothing like the pictures.
The location is really great since there are many things that are walkable. Hotel staff was super friendly and quick to accommodate. Bed and couch were comfortable. It was clean and close to a bus stop.
We had a very good experience over all but the carpet corridors are very dirty and smelly. This should be cleaned or changed. The team that are in front desk are great persons and very nice and helpful.
This is an extension old building the entire floor creaks. The beds are so old that sleeping in them is almost unbearable. They creak constantly and are extremely hard. The pillows are terrible as well. No housekeeping until after 5 days, no room service, customer service was of 0
Can’t say the perfect but does great for the price. Go to the deli right around the corner for great food and prices
Staff very well they let me earlier check in and no charge (if room available) no any hotel do like this I very appreciate and thank you for this take care of us five star for service.
The area was quiet but the room was run down. Carpet was smelly and there was mold.
This apartment hotel is very clean and very good size for a family who plan to stay in NY for few days. Staff are very friendly and there are lots of restaurants and groceries in the area. I highly recommend it.
Friendly and helpful service.
Third stay, consistently good
The staff are fantastic! They go above and beyond, are super friendly and made the experience 100 percent better!
Fabulous Find!
Fabulous find! It accommodated five adults with ease. The kitchen is stocked with essential cooking and dining utensils. Great location -- accessible to buses and the subway. Staff was professional, courteous, and kind. Would definitely recommend and stay here the next time we are visiting.
it was all perfect and comfortable.
Will go again soon!
other than the shower issues OK
Fantastic stay!
Older building, so even though the apartment itself was reasonably renovated, it was still felt pretty dated. With pretty embarrassing beds, bathroom without a fan (active or passive), and squeaky floors. For the money, I would have expected more.
Quiet neighborhood, excellent location and an excellent and welcoming staff.
The location of The Beekman Tower was excellent for walking to all the NYC's main attractions. The apartment was a good size, a little bit tired but still good value for money. The aircon in the bedroom was noisy though! We were allowed a later check out by 2 hours which we really appreciated. We'd definitely stay here again and would recommend.
We are a family of 5. We found the Beekman by accident and we could not be happier we did . Three teenage daughters and bathroom space is a issue . This suite came with two actual bedrooms and a pull out couch . We used the dinning table for doing hair and make up and it was perfect ! The unit was clean , basic, but all we needed bc we were on the go . The staff at the BT were very helpful and friendly ! We will be staying here again !!
Didn’t even have tissues in the rooms. Very average property with very few amenities
That was brutal. I wondered why the price was so good, and now I know. The heating/AC is a disaster. All night long, it sounded like a popcorn machine. Awful. And the air conditioner had a mind of its own, so it was a very hot night. Next time I will bite the bullet and spend the money for a decent hotel.
Roomy room with full kitchen -- unexpected luxuries in New York City!
Great value!
Great location, the rooftop bar was really cool and the room was more than we needed
Disappointed
I expected more from the hotel/ property. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had a Wi-Fi problem. It took three hours to solve it. The way the hotel rooms are set up. Our door and the next room door were right beside each other. Because the doors were so close we had to listen to a child next door scream and hell for hours. To make it even worst we got to hear the parent yell at the child. To make this stay even worst was we had to smell the next rooms cooking. All our clothes and the bed sheets smelt like fish and grease. The rooms was big compared to most hotel rooms in NYC. The location was also perfect to explore the city.
This is a nice Apart Hotel that we have been to before. This time however the bed’s mattress was warn tending to a somewhat uncomfortable U shape and the heating/ac unit did not seem to respond to our settings. Hopefully these were room specific issues.
Our studio was as expected (as per promo pictures) and clean (not true for public spaces - a coffee? spill in the elevator was there when we arrived and still there when we left) Kitchen was not well equipped only two of each for cutlery, glasses, dishes and only one dishwasher soap provided. Had no ice cube tray so asked desk where we could get ice. Was told that the hotel does not supply ice. Was told that we could go out and buy some. Made a comment about no ice on the registration questionnaire and was told that we should ask for “another” ice cube tray at the front desk. Asked and finally got one. Why was one not offered when we originally asked about ice? Net, net, morning/afternoon desk person very pleasant and helpful; late afternoon/evening desk person the opposite. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but if you do choose to stay, note that this really is a no service hotel.
Very nice 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of the city. Close to the UN building and easy access across midtown. Nice rooftop cocktail lounge.
We loved the space and comfort of our one bedroom. The location was quiet; yet accessible to public transportation. The front desk personnel were very helpful and went out of their way should a problem arise. I would strongly recommend this hotel. The only downside was that the bed was hard and the bathroom tiny; however I realized this is NYC where space is limited.
Beekman for a family gathering
Had a family reunion. Our 3 bedroom unit had 2 1/2 baths, which was not clear from any of the room info, but much appreciated. Great location, views, comfortable rooms and furniture. Everything looked pretty fresh and well maintained. Minor issues like a toilet paper holder coming loose and like all hotel rooms, not enough rods to hang towels. Friendly desk staff.
Cockroaches under the air conditioning
I stayed in a one bedroom suite and it was modern and comfortable. It felt like my own apartment in Manhattan as it had living room/dining room, kitchen and separate bedroom.
Great for families
It's a great space for a family of 5. So nice to have separate bedrooms and a full kitchen. You can catch the bus across the street that takes you directly to time square
I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a place to stay in New York. If you’re looking for suites, It’s perfect for family, also for sharing with other adults. Rooms are decent sizes for New York stay, they are comfortable and adequate spaces around the suites for everyone to move about. The block is close to subway - 15 minutes from grand central station and 9 minutes from 51st street subway. The area is safe for walking to and from different parts of Manhattan. Staff are also very helpful and engaging. So glad we found this place!
The hotel fitness room and business lobby area was clean. The entrance to the hotel, was dirty as was the doors and elevators. We had issues with WI-FI due to the fact that the paper given to us, hand the wrong password. Because there is no password, it’s just the telephone number that is used as a password. The paper that was printed it had a password it had a network name and it was a waste of time. There were no sofa beds as I was told there would be. There was a couch and a lounger and the kids slept on that. The hotel was over run with water bugs and roaches. The laundry room was flooded. When I notified them they wanted to come and kill the bugs. Well that was already taken care of. What I wanted was not to have them “.”. The elevators dirty, the entrance doors dirty. The security people lovely.
Great Locatiuon, Great Views. But a dump is a dump.
We liked the size and overall condition of the property. The mattress needs to be renewed. The staff could have helped with the luggage to the room.
Great staff and good stay
This is why I love big apples!
A true New York experience. The property is located a block north of the United Nations and a few blocks away from the ferry on the east side of Manhattan. Close to everything! Superb customer service. Quiet lodging…Great for sleeping!
TLDR: Great for spacious stays or families willing to look past some cleanliness details. I really wanted to root for this property, here is my list: Pros: - Showerhead- wow, best ever? rainfall size but the pressure was ~chef's kiss~ - Good sized room for wanting some down time from the chaos of NYC - Safe area- right next to the UN, not a ton of dining options within a few blocks, but felt safe - Staff- they were helpful and seemed to be trying Cons: - The floors: very gross. Half the apartment was sticky and the carpet was well-worn. I wore a pair of white socks while in the apartment for our 4 night stay, and by the end they were nearly black. I passed the housekeeping cart on my way out once and it seems they were only using a Swiffer and a vacuum, not mopping between guests. In the tile areas you can clearly see the color the grout used to be versus the color it is now. I believe this to be because the hotel is not able to afford more housekeeping staff. On one evening, we requested more towels to the room and had to pick them up from the front desk ourselves because "they do not have housekeepers in the evening." - we stayed on the third floor and there was a smell to the whole floor. I couldn't pin-point it, not quite a musk, not quite a food, but was overpowering during our entire stay. - The mattress was the firmest mattress I have EVER slept on. Obviously very old, I honestly think a cot would have had more give.
Large and nice
Surprisingly large apartment in a convenient and quiet location near the UN. Full kitchen and laundry facilities. Very comfortable stay
My suite was clean and comfortable however it didn't look like what my wife and i viewed on the website.
Great haven
Had a great if exhausting vacation in New York. The Beekman Towers was a haven in which to rest after many busy days. Having a sofa and kitchen was a godsend. The staff were always helpful and efficient. Location was good, close to amenities and transport, and even a cocktail bar on the 26th floor with stunning views.
The property is very nice but management is so so. The hotel could not provide soap for 4 days even though the 3rd day we got an email that it finally was available at the reception desk, only to learn that the message was a mistake. The attitude was a blase, well there is nothing we can do about the problem.
Excellent treatment of front desk staff. Very comfortable facilities despite being a bit old and needing a bit of renovation. Super practical and useful kitchen. Large space of the apartment that was very comfortable for a 10-day stay with a small child. Highly recommended, specially for families and long-term stays.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Beekman towers. The view from our room on level 21 was amazing over the river and city. The room was very clean and all amenities were great. Hector and the other staff at the front desk, where very friendly and helpful. You also get free use of the laundry room and there’s a gorgeous rooftop bar.
Perfect spot!
The staff was so friendly and welcoming! The location was so perfect for all of our Manhattan sightseeing; close to subway/bus right outside, amazing food all around the neighborhood, walking distance to so many things like 5th ave and time square! Room was so nice and had almost everything I needed in the kitchen for basic cooking too. Would recommend to anyone!
Great property for a family of five with lots of space to unwind after a busy big apple day.
It was amazing. The only issue was the tub drainage was slow and filled up the tub while showering.
Great venue for work base. Safe, quiet and with good amenities.
Big Apple
We stayed for two nights in NYC. Great location and friendly staff. Plenty of room - only complaint was bathroom. Too small relative to size of apt/room and not in great condition.
The building is a beautiful art deco style. The inside seems to be under construction. The beds are old and small, lighting is bad, pull out couch mattress was only springs. The size was perfect for our family but in need of a major overhaul.
Room was soul less. Heating extremely noisy. Bathroom cramped. Room generally dark, sparse, without any character.
It was very nice. Clean, quite, nice light, nice layout, nice location, great service. Our family had a great time during our stay.
The Beekman Tower is in a quiet and safe area of midtown Manhattan. It was easy to catch a taxi to tourist spots. Lots of dining and shopping options around. The condo is spacious enough for 3 people. Very comfortable.
Quieter location, near subway very lumpy beds
Lumpest bed We've ever slept on! Mildew in shower; Heater made a clicking sound whenever the unit was on! There are 3 elevators on the property, one is exclusive for their rooftop bar, and one of the other 2 had a giant trash bin (hotel under renovation) and was left turned off, leaving only 1 elevator to use, especially in the evenings! It was inconvenient Apt was roomy; had plates and cups no wine opener though
nice place, perfect for long stay!
Great two bedroom for a family of five.
0/10 for cleanliness.
Loved the apartment feel and layout. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Tito and Brandy were exceptionally pleasant and very helpful throughout our stay.
The room smelled horrible. The carpet in the bedroom was filthy. It looked as it had not been cleaned in a very long time. The sheets had hair on them. We had to buy new sheets and disinfect the apartment to even feel comfortable to stay there.
The location and staff of the hotel are great, but the heaters are not up to par. We had to change rooms after three sleepless nights due to the old heater system making noise all night. The staff and reservations manager were great and did all in their hands to get the situation resolived as quickly as possible. I did nonetheless notice there were other customers have raised the same concern. If this issue could be resolved, the hotel would be perfect.
Walkable location but not clean enough
The Hotel staff was courteous and the location very walkable. But it was dirty. Hairballs on the couch and in pillows. The extra linens were filthy. It put a damper on the experience and we would not stay there again.
Was a very nice property, quiet and easy enough to get around though it was bit on the outskirts. The bathtub could use a little TLC in my particular unit, but overall very clean and nice.
the water from the bathroom came out yellow and dirty, we couldnt take a shower that morning because of the bathroom and water conditions
The hotel staff is amazing! Definitely would recommend the stay!
An excellent property in all aspects
Concierge desk was very friendly and very helpful.
amazing front desk team (Hector and Ayman), good location but the rooms are in desperate need of refurbishement
Amazing stay
Stay was amazing and the employees were great. Highly recommend
Had a great time, very good and ease of communication.
I enjoyed my stay at the Beekman Tower. When I checked into an apartment on my first night, I found a cockroach crawling out of the bathtub. The staff was quick to respond and sent someone to kill it who also gave me some sticky tiles to place in the bathroom. Also, when I emailed the manager about the situation, she quickly responded stating that I would be put in another room. The staff is receptive and very friendly, and I love the amenities at the property. I plan on staying at the Beekman Tower again!

Spacious, convenient & quiet place to feel at home
Came with my sister and daughter. Chose this location cause near nephew’s apartment. He had just relocated cross country. Have everything we needed to stay comfortable for a long weekend. More convenient than we expected and pretty quiet neighborhood with many good places to eat and all the retailers needed for “moving in” especially convenient.
