Pet Friendly

Decent for a quick weekend trip with the dogs. Room and bathroom were clean. No smells or stains which is nice for a pet friendly hotel. Room could use some updates, including the mattress. There is a dedicated area for pets by the pool. All in all, I would stay here again.

A nice place to stay for the money. It's a little far from the boardwalk but sometimes that's just the thing for a good night's rest.

Easily the best experience ever

What an amazing place! I cannot speak highly enough about the staff. They truly made me feel like family, and im from New York! Yes, we aren't the easiest people to get along with, unfortunately. Location was perfect, the staff was incredible, i mean actually incredible. 15 stars out of 10. What a amazing experience. I will be sure to be a life long customer. Thank you. So much. I truly dont have the words.

Had a rough start but the staff made up for it. Wouldnt hesitate to stay with them again.

We arrived right after their opening for the season. Check in was easy, staff was great, awesome location and easy beach access in minutes.

It's starting to show its age, but overall a comfortable stay. We liked the large fridge and the size of the room, but street traffic was an issue.

I was pleasantly surprised with how clean the rooms were for being pet friendly. Staff was friendly.

Classic motel. Extra sink outside the bathroom was great when staying with 3 people. Big Mini fridge, microwave, a broom for the sand which was great, a large trash can, small pool but clean and secure parking. We had a full size coffee maker, wish I had brought my own coffee for a whole pot! Most importantly, it was clean and safe. We have stayed at other motels in the area, this isn’t my favorite but I would recommend staying here.

Booked 3 nights in October so we could take our 2 dogs to the beach and boardwalk. Opted for the efficiency and are glad we did. Full size fridge and 2 burner stove top were very handy. Cookware, silverware and china were all provided. Plenty of towels. Pool was still open but the weather was a tad too cool to us. AC was ice cold. Staff was friendly and super helpful. Free poo bags. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay for a night or two! Close to many things but appropriately far enough from the boardwalk crowds. Desk staff is amazing!

Great location kitchenette was perfect

We had stayed here in 2018 and the property was newly renovated and clean. We revisited this property in 2024 and the room smelled like a dog salon. The room didn't feel clean, there was mold on the ceiling, and dust was covered in many areas - such as the headboard. To add insult to injury, our bathroom ceiling began to leak on our second day, so we decided to check out early and leave for another hotel.

Great stay

My fiancé and I went for a quick little beach trip. Our stay at the Barefoot Mailman was amazing. We loved the room and the kitchen was great to cook our meals. We loved the porch and the privacy. The staff was very nice and made sure that we were enjoying our stay. We will definitely stay here again.

This was my first time staying at a hotel with my pet. And let me tell you excellent service. I love that the beach was just around the corner. I definitely recommend staying here if you have a pet or not. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Paul was very helpful, room was clean and newly renovated. Close to lots of attractions and food places. Didnt take any animals but it is definitely pet friendly as many other guests had dogs.

Excellent Place

I love this place. They have a nice family room and It's located at the heart of Ocean City. In addition, compared to others in the area their price tag is reasonable. I also appreciate their professional reception. Keep it up!

Biscuits go to the Beach

Front desk staff the whole weekend were fabulous. Everyone was nice and helpful. Locked ourselves out of the room, but they got us back in super quick. 2nd time I've been and would return.

Very pet friendly!

Travel to Ocean City several times a year. Generally speaking most hotels I stay at have some issue. This stay was very nice considering my past experiences and my family had very positive experiences with the stay. In short, the room was nice, the staff were very nice and attentive, hotel didn't have any surprise hidden fees, pool was very clean, there was no garbage lying around, and in short, this hotel will be likely be where we stay moving forward. Finally, the price we received was amazing for the quality we received. Was very happy about the experience.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The only reason I did not rate it for quietness is because my next door neighbors dog barked my entire stay. No fault to the staff, I believe they did try to rectify the situation. It is a dog friendly establishment so it was to be expected.

Overall, we had a great experience. Location is prime. You are about 2 minutes from the beach and do not have to cross any major roads. The pool is a decent size and right on property. Ample parking. Dog friendly. As for the room, it was overall ok. It could use some updates in the bathroom and vanity. The beds were clean. The bathroom had some hair, and it looked like the mirrors weren't cleaned. There were some flies, but I suspect it was just from leaving the door open. Every morning, house keeping stopped by to see if we needed anything which was great. The mini fridge was a good size. Overall, it could use some updating, but given the price and location, we would definitely stay here again.

Honestly, I booked this as a last-minute decision to take a trip to the beach. I found that the price was very reasonable and the locations if GREAT! It's not luxury, but it is very clean, and the room was updated with a farmhouse sort of vibe. The bed was comfy and the bedding was very cozy. I liked that I had the option to bring my dog even though I opted not to. The hotel is a sister hotel to Castle-In-The-Sand just 1.5 blocks over. We frequented that hotel during the day because they have live music and a great bar called Coconuts, smack on the beach front. They even serve at the beach to your chairs. If you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your room and you don't want to pay an exuberate price, I recommend this lovely hotel.

Everything was just fine. Way better then what i thought. Love that its pet friendly

The staff here, are next level kind. Not only did every employee we came into contact with also greet our dog (and I do mean everytime we saw someone they said hi to us and our dog) staff talked to us about different events ocean city has and what we should come back down for. The kind woman who checked us in late Thursday night has to be the sweetest person I have ever met in ocean city. She pulled a double shift and still talked with my fiancé at i at 1030 at night with a bright smile on her face about all the different things we could do in the morning, and asked us about our travels. Only complaint I have is the floor in our room was sticky and left our feet brown when walking on it barefoot, most likely a bunch of layers of sunscreen from people staying in the room before us. The employee Debbie and her son, I forgot his name but he also works here, are the reason we will 100 percent be staying at this hotel again. Debbie and her son went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, and gave our dog extra love every chance they could. Great people.

Pluses and minuses

Good location, gentleman upon checkin was great, room was clean…overall. The bathroom condition was a bit much, as the tub had hair, holes on the walls and ceiling water damage. Although a motel, they should maintain conditions as they have the liberty of charging prime rates during the season.

The hotel had just what we needed for a weekend away with our dog. The room was clean and had free coffee in the room. There is also a medium fridge and microwave and a toaster was provided thanks to Derek at the front desk who found it for us late Friday evening. There is plenty of parking and many things to walk to around the hotel. There is a pool but we never checked it out. The ice machine is near the lobby. The only downside I could see was no one at the front desk after hours, which luckily we didn’t need anything, but it says to contact the hotel 1-2 blocks away if anything is needed after hours. I wasn’t sure what to do for check out since no one was there yet but we left our keys in the drop box outside the lobby.

Our room was spacious and clean. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful, especially Debbie. The beach is about a five minute walk. The rooms could stand to get some more comfortable mattresses, but I highly recommend staying here!

Quick fun!!

My stay was only for a night cause we just got off a cruise, but it was lovely we were right at the start of the boardwalk and right at the carnival. Ill definitely be coming back

Great little motel half a block from the beach. Yet can also see the bay. Clean pool. Safe. Very pet friendly. Downside. No breakfast or coffee. Or view of the beach from the rooms. But overall a great stay.

Accommodations were great! Beds were comfortable, pool was smaller than picture, but relaxing. Location excellent. Staff friendly.

The place is clean and quiet. Bathroom needs to be updated but as long as it’s clean that’s important.

There were a few things that I wasn't exactly happy with, but they weren't deal breakers for a possibility of another stay. The beds could be better. They seem old. They make noise when you turn over and they aren't the best for side sleepers. The door to the room was open upon checking in, which meant there were some flies in the room that we had to chase down. The floors weren't swept the best, but they do have a broom left in the room. The first night there, the hot water was out for a few hours. The staff was really friendly and helpful, but I didn't appreciate several knocks on the door to see if we were gone yet that started about 15 minutes before checkout time. The front desk did say this should not have happened and that they would talk to the individuals.

Best kept secret in Ocean City MD

Awesome property, caters to pets even though we did not bring ours. If you go out and your dog has separation anxiety, they have dog sitters that will stay with your dog. Very clean. Will stay again

This hotel was excellent from the moment I stepped into the office to the time we left all the staff was friendly and helpful!! I had my dog and they gave me a bag of dog goodies, there were treats in the office even 😁. The room was clean and didn’t smell bad, there was no carpet which may be the first time I have ever seen that but it was so much better! I will def be back!! There were a lot of dogs but we rarely heard any barking at night. It was a convenient walk to the beach as well.

If you have a dog and you smoke this place is for you! It’s clean, close to the beach and definitely pet friendly. Street noise was a little loud and bathroom def dated but overall fine stay.

Great place to stay if you are there for the beach. Boardwalk is still 5-10 min drive. Beautiful sunsets off balcony at night. Basic needs are met w/AC, bathroom and a bed to sleep in. Could be updated a little more. Good place for a weekend stay!

Everything was great, except for WIFI. I also suggest they invest in a different ice machine, as the current one requires the use of a scoop. That is definitely germ-prone.
