Luxurious and comfortable stay
We had a very nice stay in Jodhpur and Ajit Bhawan was exquisite. The stay the food and most importantly the service. Everyone took great care of us. In particular special mention must go to Byom Singh Ji who took extra good care of us and created an excellent dining experience. Would come back again.
Well appointed property
Good experience living in a heritage property. Clean room, unfortunately, the mattress was sagging and not very comfortable to sleep in. Filed a complaint with the manager who acknowledged it.
Shower did not work for hot water despite calls to front desk, technician visit and running it for 30 mins. Front desk essentially gave me an excuse saying they do switch it for early morning (was showering at 6.30am).
The property is definitely old and could use a facelift. The service was flawless. The property itself along with room service lacked.
Very nice indeed - had a great time , enjoyed the nightly traditional dancing and singing performance. There were a couple of minor things needed sorting in the rooms but these were dealt with swiftly , thank you!
We had a vintage suite at the property. The room has no windows and the reality doesn’t do justice to the photos on the Expedia site. The room had large ants. Never had that experience at a five star before. The food was only the saving grace but that’s true for any place in Jodhpur.
A really great heritage hotel in Jodhpur. Beautiful grounds with a very nice and well kept pool, friendly and welcoming staff, a spa, and on site restaurant with an incredibly large and diverse menu featuring 24 hour room service. Rooms were clean and well stocked, laundry service was quick, and the food at restaurant was very good, and i can be picky avouy my indian food! I recommend without hesitation and will be staying there again on my next visit to jodhpur!
Good
Beautiful hotel, everything was perfect! Kind and considerate staff, great food, lovely pool. This was our favorite hotel on our tour of Rajasthan. Highly recommend.
Wonderful and unique experience. Breakfast staff were very hospitable. The breakfast food was the best and we enjoyed it a lot
Such a beautiful hotel. Jodhpur itself is so charming, and filled with wonderful people, sights, and history, and this hotels fits in perfectly. The rooms are immaculate, as are the grounds. The pool area is something to behold. We loved the overall ambience of the place. All of the staff were so hospitable. We will definitely be back.
A beautiful place, so well designed and maintained. I booked for a single night, wish I had stayed for 3. I had some special requests, and needed some particular attention, all professionally and generously handled by Mokul at the front desk
December(New Year) Trip
Amazing stay. Booked trip for family and everyone enjoyed thoroughly. Pool was closed which was a shame. Property is clean, green and well maintained. Breakfast (included) was sumptuous and tasty with both veg and non-veg options. Resort restaurant had lunch and dinner menus (paid separately) which were fantastic. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would however advise on 2 things.. 1) Improve your customer response system. No one seems to reply to either calls or emails about the reservation. 2) For the Christmas/New Year party, do inform patrons about the separate charges (₹11000 per person this year) before they make reservations. I am sure guests would appreciate knowing before hand that they need to pay money for these mandatory parties, on top of room charges.
I would not recommend this property, it failed to meet expectations for appropriate COVID19 response.
Excellent good service, clean, everybody was polite
Village ambiance is very nice but it doesn't full fill heritage expectation and they do not allow even to visit palace for which we have spent.
Wonderful stay. Great staff and setting. Slight downside is consistently salty food. Otherwise great.
Beautiful resort, and so quirky. Would thoroughly recommend.
Fantastic hotel
We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Bungalow style room with our own courtyard. The restaurants were fantastic and the pool was quite extraordinary. The service from staff was always so helpful. We look forward to staying here again.
It was really enjoyable stay. And staff was really friendly and helpful.
Excellent stay
Really nice stay. Excellent service. Comfortable beds. Buffet breakfast was really good.and service was excellent. Will certainly come back.
Pros: great location, amazing staff, comfortable rooms, excellent food and chefs. Special kudos to restaurant manager Susheel and his team. Cons: hot water takes a while sometimes. WiFi didn’t work. Pool isn’t heated. Spa isn’t good at all.
Amazing resort. Top notch service and super comfortable beds.
A heritage hotel alright but the room carpet need not be antique. The room had carpet which was down right dirty. No room slippers for guests. Required as the floors seem dusty. Overpriced rooms. However, staffs are very courteous and ready to help at any time.of the day.
Jodhpur weekend
I made a side trip to Jodhpur from Jaipur. Travelled by train after many years , and stayed at a palace converted into a hotel, the Ajit Bhawan. Lot of atmosphere and old world charm in the hotel, with many artifacts and paintings from the association with the Jodhpur Royal House. Some things you cannot replicate in a modern hotel chain - old world charm is chief among them.
Very nice resort! Staff were very nice. The pool area was great and the tent we stayed in was clean and fun.
Nice Property but the service was the poorest
Location : Centrally located and very close to the major touristic attraction. Property : Big and nicely maintained property with good decor. Rooms : Clean and big but the bed was way too soft and the room is not at all sound proof , we could hear sound fm other room / outside specially the train sound making it hard to sleep. Food : In room dining option was way too less and they were not willing to cater to any special request. we had a 4 yr old child with us and struggled to order in room dining for him. Restaurant again had a wide spread but it was out door making it hard to have dinner in cold winter nights with food getting cold very fast. Service : The poorest we have ever come across , the staff never greated the guests , during breakfast it was hard to get any one's attention even without the restaurant being full , things like ordering masala dosa took ages to come and when it came it was plain dosa instead , after our 3 nights stay we just gave up on asking the staff anything.
Charming green oasis in a bustling vibrant city!
Beautiful property - old world charm of Rajasthan done just right, one meanders around the garden paths enjoying the nooks and crannies of the layout of rooms, cottages and tents. The gardens and greenery are lovely. Service is excellent and the food is very good too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
My Favourite place to stay in Jodhpur
When coming on business I always stay here. It is a lovely hotel and always made welcome. Pool to die for Also a great coffee shop 100 yards down road
Great stay in Jodhpur
Very nice resort with charm and friendly staff. Good restaurant for dinner and good breakfast.
Jodhpur Stay
Very Nice Hotel. Stayed the second time in this property. Its kind of a boutique hotel and very old world with all the new world amenities.
Heritage hotel
This is a beautiful heritage hotel with a lovely pool and really unusual rooms. The individual huts and luxury 'tents' were very comfortable. The service was excellent and very attentive.
Rajasthan = Land of Kings!
Pure Luxury. Ajit Bhavan is a real regal experience and truly lives up to the royal heritage where it is situated. We stayed in the luxury tents which were elegantly furnished with all conveniences. The food at the restaurants was some of the best in Rajasthan and so was breakfast. The villas are beautifully situated in a village-like theme with quaint alleys and a rustic decor. The evenings are particularly enjoyable with live music and even stroll around the campus is bound to be memorable.
Charming historic heritage hotel.
Beautiful hotel in pleasant grounds. Good in-house restaurants; the local food offered was very good but the international menu less so. Great staff throughout.
beautiful premises Very clean Courteous staff
I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Jodhpur Restaurant offers a wide variety of food Excellent breakfast The food and drinks are over priced
Fantastic
Fantastic hotel, great staff, restaurant and rooms.
Everything was good except that the hotel did not give me an invoice / receipt at the time of check out
We especially enjoyed dining experience at night. Live music, variety of food and friendly service.
Immaculately maintained historic city center hotel
I chose this hotel as the last stop of our Jodhpur-Jaisalmer tour as it was closer to the airport for our flight out (although Jodhpur is a relatively small town and any place will probably be fine). We arrived at night and the property grounds were beautifully lit up, like a desert city Disneyland. Even though it's in the city center, the property is securely enclosed and has a sense of exclusivity. The hotel grounds are immaculately maintained and no two buildings or rooms look alike, they have blended art, statues, etc. seamlessly amongst the meandering walkways and landscaping. Dinner was held outdoors, the vegetarian fare was average but the laal maas (local spicy mutton dish) was one of the best I'd had and apparently they have a reputation for that specialty, well deserved. They featured dancers and music at dinner time, not quite at par with what we had in a desert camp, but nice nonetheless. Our room was palatially well spaced, with a separate seating area and plenty of bedroom space. Although the property is neither in the desert nor in a historic part of the city, the hotel itself is arguably a destination unto itself and well worth a stay.
Beautiful hotel
Great food, beautiful place. We love it.
Perfect Location, Amazing Staff
The hotel itself is even more beautiful than expected and staff here are incredible. They helped us navigate a monetary crisis in the country as well as provided a great overall experience. The only negative: the beds were two single beds pushed together. Aside from this, the entertainment and food were good (try the Rajasthani Thali restaurant). I would highly recommend.
Nice Hotel for a night or 2. The rooms need a bit of updating but ok. One thing we were unhappy about is our coffee experience. We arrived late in the afternoon and sat around the pool relaxing. We were approached by an attendant asking us if he could bring us coffee. We said OK and he duly brought us an ? Americano and a cappuccino. Some 10 minutes later, a further 2 arrived even thought we had not ordered them and thought perhaps they were complimentary?? We were somewhat surprised at checkout to see they had charged us 845 rupees ($18NZ) for what we thought were the 2 coffees we had ordered, but obviously they charged us for all 4 - or maybe not? Is a coffee really that expensive in India?
For India Quality this hotel is first rate
This is an easy and convenient hotel to use. It is clean and efficient with a nice touch or days gone by and a lost era but with modern up to date facilities. It could use a faster internet for the business traveler though.
Nice hotel ground but awful room
We had a very late check-in and the staff was very helpful at the time of check-in. We had the most fantastic experience with the service staff in the restaurant of the hotel. They went out of their way to make sure that food was available despite our late check-in. The breakfast every morning was really good and fresh. BUT We stayed at the luxury tent, and there was nothing luxurious about it. In fact, our room had mildew and watermarks on the roof, the carpet was dingy, and the lighting was bad. We had to keep AC on at all time to keep the smell away and because of bad AC control, the room would get cold. Both mildew and bad temperature control caused us to wake up congested on all days of our stay. I will stay at the hotel again only if they will improve the room condions
Luxury stay
We enjoyed our stay very much. Kids loved the pool and the evening entertainment. This hotel was the most luxurious on our Rajasthan trip. Pricey but worth the money. Lovely and very attentive staff. Breakfast very good with lots of fresh fruits.
Great hotel close to everything
We stayed in a luxury tent - and it was superb. Kama toiletries in the bathroom - great water pressure and hot water. The mattress and pillows were outstanding- providing the best night sleep I've had in a long time. The pool was large and clean - open air dining looked spectacular though we didn't eat dinner at the property. Buffet breakfast had a good selection - of particular note from members of our party were the fresh papaya and the lassi. Overall a brilliant stay - everyone wished that we could have stayed longer!
Very good hotel with best facility and clean rooms
Glamping
Stayed in one of their luxury tents. Nice change from a regular hotel room.

Just beautiful
Booked for 2 nights, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The gala dinner, though expensive was excellent, music, dance, food, drink and service was exceptional. We stayed in two of the luxury "Tents", which had all the amenities of a normal room and felt special. Close to shops and some restaurants, walking distance. Impeccable hotel, beautiful. Salon near by, really good gym. Winter so pool was out, but too cold in the evening.
