Lovely place to stay

Very peaceful and enjoyable stay

Great place to stay, lovely owners, huge places to go on the property, firepits, pool, spas, outdoor seating, etc

Lovely countryside location

Excellent room and access to a swimming pool although we didn’t use it. Lots of supplies to cook your own breakfast at a time to suit yourself. Good location to explore some of the beaches on the central coast such as Terrigal and Avoca.

We missed fridge in our room, and there is no fly screens on doors or windows. Also, no hand towels. Outside veranda dirty, a lot of dust. Nice big property but need more attention around house, both verandas full of furniture and bags ! Owner need some help to keep it tidy.

Great peaceful place to stay ! Wouldve prefereed booking direct off The acreage rather than dealing with lastminute..

Like: the surounding gardens, location. Dislike: place is a bit run down, host not onsite all tne time, walls are thin so can hear a lot of other noise. Only one toilet paper roll, needed to cook our own breakfast, did not receive our 'welcome gift'.

The location is convenient and the property is situated in a beautiful area. Outside the extensive grounds are beautiful and the creek is so peaceful. Downstairs the amenities require some TLC with cobwebs and a musty odour.

Nice stay for an overnight. Well appointed but cleaning and maintenance not great. Low on the value for money stakes

Beautiful location with gorgeous views. The room was wonderful, modern, and the bed was so comfy I didn't want to leave! A wonderful hidden gem, I would highly recommend. (Minor note though: watch out for the spiders along the pathways at night/ early morning. No fault to the owner, just comes with the territory).

We did not meet the host! In our extensive experience (27yrs) of going to B&B's to celebrate our wedding anniversary, it is the first place where we were not greeted or met by the host/s. We found the place in need of a great deal of "TLC". Everything was "tired" and certainly not "luxury" as stated nor "good value". Unfortunately it was "disappointing" accommodation for our wedding anniversary getaway. The only positive was a beautiful outlook. I would not recommend it.

Great get away

Pleasant get away for a weekend extremely close to beaches

Not your usual B&B

Our keys were left out on a table and we didn't see the owner until we were leaving since there weren't any instructions about what to do on check-out (he seemed very friendly and kind in my brief meeting with him). It was all a bit unusual for a property marketed as a B&B - which typically has more of a 'homey' feel. The room was comfortable, minor issues being broken blinds and noisy floorboards. There were lots of candles which would have added a nice ambiance but nothing to light them with. The breakfast was cook-your-own which I thought was another unusual touch for a B&B (particularly at over $300 per night). The grounds of the property looked quite lovely, but we didn't get the chance to enjoy them with our short stay. Overall, I probably wouldn't stay here again, but it's pleasant enough.

Weekend on the coast

Late in the week, we decided to have a couple of nights away on the Central Coast and found the Acreage B&B to be available. It is located in rural acreage and is reasonably quiet. The room is not overly large, but adequate for 2 night stay with a good covered balcony to sit out on and look out over the valley views, which have unfortunately for the whole area, been somewhat drought effected. The breakfast arrangements worked well enough with the common kitchen and dining area. We had a nice visit but for what is being sold as a premium B&B, the less than premium detail in presentation of the room, the general building and grounds maintenance means that it is difficult to give it a really great rating for what is a reasonably high nightly tariff.

Beautiful Spot

We loved our stay here. Peaceful and lots of space. So close to Terrigal beach and cafes etc. Will definitely come back.

A luxurious venue in a forest setting

The Acreage is tucked away in a green oasis close to the urban centres of the Central Coast. Our GPS was able to find it. The bedroom was comfortable and well-appointed (apart from lacking a refrigerator). It opened onto a covered balcony. The ensuite included a spa bed. We were a little disappointed that it was a "do-it-yourself" breakfast, given the fee we paid. However all facilities were available. There was plenty of parking, and access to the room after hours was quite simple.

Lovely secluded getaway

Absolutely gorgeous. Views of a river, friendly and laid back staff. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. Couldn't ask for more.

DISAPOINTED OVER PRICED B & B NO BREAKFAST

The guest house is managed by stealth not having any contact with the operators or managers it aperars. Reception was closed and a key was left with a note providing us with access to a room apologizing for not being available. This is an obvious stereo method as we found a similar letter to the previous guest in the room. The toilet was dirty, the bed needs replacing as it was sagging to one side. There was mold in the shower and the television reception was poor. B & B usually refers to breakfast. We eventually found a kitchen downstairs which had a loaf of bread and packets of cereal not what you would call a luxury B & B. We have traveled extensively locally and overseas and would say this establishment is well over priced for what is provided. $310.00 is an insult in our opinion.

Very clean and comfortable

For the price paid I was a bit miffed at having to get my own breakfast and then to be expected to clear up after!!! Overall very clean and comfortable but cheeky or are all Australian b&bs so non service?

Lovely guesthouse near Avoca beach

Relaxing beautiful spot

We went as a group of 4 for a much needed ladies weekend away and were delighted with what we found - beautiful grounds and view, lovely rooms and a great living room which we were also able to use for mobile massages etc Everything was great thank you

Gem near Avoca and Terrigal

The Acreage B&B was a very pleasant surprise - a fantastic facility in a fantastic setting! Thoroughly enjoyable short stay.

Amazing. Perfect getaway!

The two of us were looking for a quiet, midweek break. The Acreage was perfect. Everything you need is right there. This area is beautifully kept and surprisingly quiet for somewhere so close to the beach. Will definitely return. Thanks Rick!! Kind regards, Jess and James

R&R in serenity

Great relaxed place. Rik was a great host. He especially got us lactose free milk and gluten free products. Loved the BBQ facilities, the everyday breakfast served to us on the balcony, the pool, the alpacas we got to feed and Hugo the dog that ran around outside on the acreage. Note the kitchen & lounge rooms are totally decked out including coffee making machine, cookies, Tea, BBQ utensils, DVDmovies, Surround sound, and communal Port all of which are Shared with other guests. You get your own room with ensuite, air con, Tv & DVD player and this all opens out onto the tranquil deck. Very beautiful and relaxing. The one thing was the spa bath when we used it expelled all this dust and hair into the water. So we had to have a shower after using it. Otherwise this place is an amazing place for a relaxing and romantic getaway which provides the perfect environment for chilling out and reconnecting with your loved one in a tranquil setting. Thanks Rik for letting us share in your little slice of heaven that is The Acreage. Loved it.

Excellent get-away in valley 10 mins from Avoca

Relaxing stay - a mix of private and shared facilities. Bedroom with ensuite and tv. Enjoyed meals on our balcony looking over the valley. Breakfast served in room so enjoyed eating on balcony. Extraordinary selection of fruit! Downstairs shared kitchen and lounge room. Note only two other suites. No bar fridge or coffee facilities in room but in kitchen downstairs. BBQ and microwave only options. Had lunch at Avoca We will be back.

The good the bad and the ugly

Enjoyed the excellent hospitality and beautiful location the house itself was comfortable very clean with excellent facilities but unfortunately the outside balcony furniture could not be used due to being very dirty and covered in mold that was the only negative thing we could say.

Beautiful peaceful setting

We enjoyed our stay in a beautiful peaceful setting. The room was a good size and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the wild life. The pool was a good size for a swim and cool down. Everything has been thought of to make an enjoyable relaxing stay. Like many others we would love to come here again.

Spacious B&B

Pleasant welcome by Rik and shown around the guest house facilities. Great house is totally separate villa to owners home, so very private. Full use of two living room areas and kitchen/ dining room. Shared large fridge freezer, microwave and tea/ coffee/ drinks area. Outdoor BBQ and seating area but to use would have needed a clean, so didn't bother. ( cleaning requested by management after use but unfortunately this wasn't adhered to) Bedrooms with ensuite bathroom not huge in size but more than adequate, all leading out through patio doors onto veranda area with lovely outlook. . x2 Alpacas and turkey in the garden. Outdoor swimming pool with seating area if weather is hot enough to use ( pool not heated) Steps lead down from the garden to a creek with lilies, very peaceful. Three bedrooms are next to each other and therefore unfortunately the noise of fellow guests can be easily heard. Complimentary sparkling wine and sweets a nice touch.. Just a couple of comments which are meant with good intention -mattress in our room requires replacement ( wouldn't be obvious unless actually used) More attention to detail required with in depth cleaning This is an older property which requires on going maintenance and thorough cleaning to ensure it remains "luxury accommodation" in some areas this lovely property is looking a little jaded. Much character and really appreciated being able to relax and chill out - thank you.

Beautifully perfect

It was absolutely beautiful! The room was immaculate, the breakfast delicious, the view and location is stunning. Marissa and David were wonderful, so polite and caring, they did everything to make our stay fantastic. It is truly a beautiful place and we will be back!

Beautiful, quiet and serene

Beautifully serene and lovely hotel service. Perfect if you wanted a quiet night away from the city life.

We had a lovely time at the Acerage, staying for two nights over the Labour Day long weekend. Our hosts were warm and friendly, the house and its grounds are stunning. It was so nice to hear the local native birds. The property is quite secluded and I would definitely recommend it as a lovely, relaxing, quiet place to stay for a getaway.

My wife and I enjoyed our small break here, very peaceful with nicely appointed rooms and great facilities (TV, DVDs to take back to our room, games etc). They also made it special with some bubbly and chocolates. We enjoyed the spa bath! $50 for breakfast was steep so we went to a local cafe.

Beautiful surrounds and views

The surrounds and outlook of this place absolutely makes it! So peaceful overlooking the river and the valley... Loved all the alpacas, turkeys, peacock etc roaming around. We really appreciated that the hosts kept their distance and only interacted with us on an as-needs basis instead of like some hosts at other Bed and Breakfasts who act like you've come to visit them and want to catch up with them and answer a reem of questions about yourself etc... These guys were nothing like that. They were totally professional, yet friendly and helpful, and respected our space and time away as a couple. Small touches make it a special stay - like a newspaper with breakfast; the heater on in the room upon arrival; bath salts and candles in the bathroom etc.

We recently stayed at the B and B it's nice and quite and comfortable it was a home away from home and the breakfast was great

Quiet and relaxing with great views

The hosts were completely welcoming and friendly and very helpful in anything that was asked. .. The room was perfect the house was wonderful... not one con about the place... me and my partner absolutely loved it and will definitely be going again :)

Picturesque and comfortable

My husband and I stayed one night at The Acreage and we both felt very comfortable and refuelled after the stay. Lovely rooms and beautiful surroundings! We will come back!
