Perfect one night stay

Check in was a little frustrating as our room was not ready after 5:00PM when check-in started at 3:00PM. The cleaning lady got our room ready quickly and all was well. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable! For our overnight stay, it was perfect as the location was very convenient. The water was hot and pressure was great. We would stay here again if in the area.

Needs major upgrade floors were dirty doors did not lock. Bed had holes in mattress room had a bad sent to it. I had booked for two nights we did not stay drove to next town to find a room. Got a refund for one night.

The staff was not very friendly, and my room was gross. There were stains on the comforter which appeared to be dried up semen. There were holes in the comforter and the sheets. The refrigerator had brown stuff that had leaked from somewhere and not cleaned. The ironing board was stained with brown spots. It was gross! I showed the staff pictures of everything, and I was not offered a refund nor a discount. Poor customer service! Will not stay here again, and I definitely don’t recommend!

It was a nice and comfy bed to sleep in after a long drive.

Texas Inn and Suites was a good place to stay. There is a Walmart and Wienerschnitzel across the street, and a Taco Bell and Starbucks next to, which are walkable. You can tell the building itself is older, but the updates are nice. It was very clean, comfortable, and our room smelled nice. Staff was friendly.

Most of the appliances like dryer and ice machine didnt work. The lady checking us in was not the nicest person.. she was repetive in making sure we knew the rules almostbas if she was accusing me for breaking rules before i even checked in. Honestly if inwasnt already tired o would have gone somewhere else.

The first room we had needed quite a bit of work, but the front desk manager was wonderful and the room we were moved to was perfect, comfortable and clean. I think it was an oversight or miscommunication on the readiness of the first room. So, no big deal. They seem to be family owned, but I am not sure. So, if you are not comfortable with your room, let them know. They are wonderful to work with. You just need to be aware that they are a small team. Your patience will make your stay as you anticipate it should be. It was a great price compared to other hotels in the area.

The hallway ALWAYS smells bad, especially in the morning when checking out - a cross between an incense like smell and a cigarette smoke like smell. Everything else is good! However, a return of the Continental Breakfast would be nice.

Unable to make this trip. I had a heart attack on Monday the 1st. I had a surgical procedure to the heart on the 5th at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Ar. I was in the hospital during the reservation. I'm sure it would have been a pleasant stay. E.D. Wilson

NO ELEVATOR. I red most reviews and no one said anything about no ELEVATOR. For most this is not a problem but for us it was a major problem.Would not give money back. The room smelled musty. AC worked good. Rooms sheets clean. Towels are small. Water dripping fron ceiling several places. No will not stay here again

Hotel overview and personal experience different

Price was fair and location was great and easy to navigate to. Our room was clean and comfortable. The entry door and bathroom door both dragged the floor like it was unlevel or something so they were hard to open and close. I didn't see any robes in room as it says on overview.. only juice and coffee were served in the common area at breakfast time. No continental breakfast to be found. Other than this our stay was unremarkable but comfortable.

The property was located in a safe place and ha easy access. Several restaurants within walking distance. Rooms were spacious and clean. All the systems worked and were in good repair. Staff(owners) were helpful and courteous. If you are overnighting in Lufkin, give them a try. Oh yeah, they are the most reasonably priced motel around.

There was no advertised breakfast. The room must have been hastily cleaned as there was a wet towel hanging on the wastebasket. Would we stay there again? Probably not.

Terrible and down right rude

As we come to the front entrance of hotel the door was locked and a sign saying ring bell for service. This is 9:45pm on a Friday evening. Rang bell 4 times which seemed to be eternity, and 8-10 mins later a man came to the window and rudely asked “What”!! I said here to check In, and then he asked for my license, in which he never opened up the door to the lobby he just took my id and walked away. He went behind a wall where we couldn’t see him and Approx 12 mins later he finally returned with my Id and our room key in which he slid under a glass window and told us where the room was and that was it! Terrible communication! And needless to say the room was not worth the money we paid for the night. Old and outdated, wouldn’t let my dog sleep in the room on the bed for that matter! Won’t ever be back to this hell hole, rather sleep in a box under a bridge then stay here again! Honestly!!!!

Booked for 2 nights. Difficult to get into parking lot. As soon as I got into room roach on TV stand. No water pressure in sink and sink would not drain. Next morning found roach in tissue box. Requested refund for second night and was refused. Lady at front desk was rude. Did not return for second night.

In Lufkin for business at St Lukes's hospital. My check-in was good. friendly and helpful. Check-out, Not so pleased. Called for a later check-out because I could not get away from the hospital until around 1 pm. I was told that I was going to be billed for a second day. I had to stop what I was doing and leave the hospital to take care of this. This made me look unprofessional with the hospital people I was meeting with. I have stayed at many hotels for business. NEVER have I had this happen requesting a little later check-out.

Place is in disrepair. Needs a lot of attention,. Be prepared to ask for extra towels ( there is only one set ). Shower handle was broken holes in wall covered with duct tape. I’m all for duct tape but … nah . Close to Walmart along with other retailers. and restaurants .

I liked the fact that it was right off the highway. It had shopping centers and restaurants within walking distance.

Bad Customer Service

The customer service from the lady behind desk was terrible. she was rude about everything. Also the parking lot was extremely small.

Worst staff in Lufkin

The owners wife was working the majority of my stay and every single contact managed to be incredibly rude. I have read many reviews about her, just thought maybe it was not that bad. No, I cut my stay short, because she was so awful. The place is empty, and I can see why.

The hotel was dated but clean. The towels could have been better. The bath/shower area stated shower only. The location was very convenient for food chains and access off the freeway.. The staff was very friendly.

Nice but not suite😔

My name is Barbara J Shelby... Lister us my fiance who paid for our stay on his debit card. But it is my account. The stay was sort of ok. But it said they served breakfast but did not... The bed was supposed to be 1 king bed but it was an uncomfortable queen bed for 2 people. Im a big woman with a bad back and hip. So the bed was supposed to be king were i could have been some comfort. I was very disappointed and sore about that. Thank You

No breakfast provided even though it advertised as having free breakfast. Only provided coffee/tea and juices (watered down juices).

Comfortable For the Price

The rooms were clean. I suggest checking your room to make sure things are actually working. Out of the 4 rooms used this stay the following were not in good shape or not working. 1 tub must have had a soft spot in floor under the tub mat, door lock battery had to be repaired, hair dryer wires frayed. All tubs were posted "Do not fill up tub with water". Other than coffee and orange/apple juice available there was no breakfast as listed on web site. Halls were hot. Room A/C worked great. A/C should have been turned on in each room prior to arrival since we had paid reservations. Somewhat noisy highway just out front. Any problem we had was immediately taken care of. Plenty of restaurants and store you could walk to. Friendly staff.

Acceptable, but I wouldn't stay there again

The stay was ok for one night when no other properties were available. The mattress was less than comfortable and there was the smell of disinfectant and deodorizer that I assume was there to cover unappealing scents. I did smell cigarette smoke immediately upon entering the building. A positive was the friendly staff and there were lots of restaurant options around the property. Overall I'd give this hotel a 5 out of 10. Would I stay there again? Probably not. But, it would be an acceptable option for anyone wanting a lower cost room night in Lufkin.

Cleanliness was lacking. Several things in the room didn’t work. Won’t stay there again. No breakfast and still cost $100. Poor value.

As soon as we walked in we noticed a floor with stains on it; hairs on the bed; electrical cover plate missing and a non clean fridge. I’m usually one to just deal with it, but this is the first time I addressed issues with a hotel. The lady at the front was getting defensive when I asked for a different room after I mention all of the above issues. They offered to replace the sheets, but the hairs remained on the duvet cover. When I mentioned the hazard of the missing electrical cover, I received a short “I know”. I ended up buying sheets at Walmart and we slept on those. I would have gone to another hotel, but the money was non-refundable. This wasn’t a pleasant experience.

Chose to stay here a second time due to the property's convenient location and price. Well I'll pay up from now on and stay further away from my business needs since management at this establishment is unaccommodating. I had to leave the room for a last minute change in plans. I was running behind schedule for check out time so I called and the initial 2 calls went unanswered. On the third try I explained my situation that I was running late getting back to the room and requested a late check-out. The gentleman on the line blatantly said NO. I asked for a 30 minute extension to my stay so I can get hygiene done, pack and depart, he was hesitant and extremely rude about. I arrived back at the room by 10:39am (11am check-out) Needlessly the linen had already been removed as well as the towels. I couldn't even wash my face ☹️ The hallway was filled with boxes of I'm assuming supplies and I had to work my way around their crud in order to leave. Customer's satisfaction is not on Management's itenirary at this establishment. Left the property by 11:09am and they were rude STAY AWAY!

We found ourselves needing a room at the last minute and we found one here. Easy check in, clean room and good parking.
