Visited off season the hotel was very quiet and the main pool was closed for refurbishment. If I had known I would have cancelled my booking. The check in staff focused on my wife giving her all the info and the bill, which I thought was odd but not a deal breaker. The hotel room was good size with ample space, 2 glass bottles of water per day was provided. The aircon in the room was faulty but it was repaired to working but we did feel the difference. We were staying on room only booking but expected to receive guest information on the restaurants offerings either at check in or a menu in the room. There was no drinks service at the sun beds by the beach and neither was beach towel service. As an upmarket hotel I would have expected this to be available on demand without seeking it. The attached Lichthaus restaurant is a real gem and gets very full around at sunset, the food and drinks are very expensive. The seating is cool for young ones with good knees and joints so be aware proper seats are at the side by the entrance of the resturant, which don’t give a viewing platform to view the sunset. The staff manning it are very nice and attentive. Overall it was nice hotel, but staff needed to promote its hotel status I.e. we ate out all meals
The Swimming pool was clean, The Hotel Offers serene eco-friendly environment that manifest peaceful stay. The rooms are clean , hot water and air conditions were functioning well. Unfortunately, the food and dining were of poor quality and options - Not to expected standard of hotel of such investment magnitude
Loved the staff and our room was nice and cool. The restaurant Licht Haus was gorgeous and the food was delicious! Also, loved the little shop by the restaurant and we got several lovely pieces of jewelry. I especially loved the humane/gentle way of dealing with little adorable monkeys that like to steal snacks. No weird violent pest control methods that I might see in my home country (the US) and I really appreciated that, and I say that as someone whose chocolate croissant was snatched by a monkey. Don't worry, the monkey left the fruit and my phone!
Samuel, front desk staff, made the experience a horrible one because he was extremely impolite, unwelcoming, and condescending when I arrived to check in. The resort has otherwise been incredible but an uncouth first impression by employee Samuel, made me wish I had booked a different resort. So I hope the management will address this issue because if they don't, their reputation will be tarnished all because of one employee.
Weekend trip with a friend
Everyone was so nice - the resort was immaculate and the beaches were pristine. Would be a great place to bring my young children too! I will be back!
Very nice property and beautiful surroundings! My issue was the thin foam mattress, not a mattress which should be at a resort for the price you pay.
The two pools were great and the entire property felt beautifully secluded and peaceful. Also loved the overwater restaurant!
Second time staying at Temple Point and I couldn't help extending my stay again! I love the nature on the property and the staff are so friendly, makes a perfect location for a solo trip.
Temple Point made me fall in love with Watamu. Such a beautiful property with well thought out nature spots! The private beach is divine, and you can walk all the way to Garoua beach. The sunset view at Lichtaus is epic and they OCA spot plus spa so cool. As you can guess, I will be back! The managers were also super friendly, felt really at home on my solo trip.
The staff were very friendly and keen to ensure I enjoyed my stay. My room had a beautiful view of the ocean and was clean
Tutto perfetto, pasti animazione e camera. il personale è accogliente amichevole e molto divertente.consigliato
