No food available after 7.30 pm same re no drink but not informed of this upon arrival. Golf course is good but rest of the place tired unkept staff friendly but have no idea what they are supposed to do. Water leak from ceiling in bedroom, loss of power in bedroom safe nit working in bedroom all in all a bad stay will not go back

Perfect for a trip with friends

We spent two nights staying with my pals. The villas are worth staying in, with a nice environment and immaculate rooms. We had a great time. However, there isn't a tiny grocery in the resort, making it tough to purchase necessities. If we bring everything from home, the villas will be quite enjoyable. overall satisfactory to stay.

It was really nice in the morning but when it comes to night, this place is very scary because it’s too isolated and not many people stay here too

snacks attack

my snacks got attack by some civet cats lucky housekeeping was honest told me abt it and helped to resolve the problem with engineering. they couldnt change room for me or gave me a further discount but they were apologetic abt it.

We booked for a 3-bedroom but was upgraded to a 4-bedroom so in terms of space, we had plenty for our family of 5! The resort is of a large spacious scale so going to facilities from our villa required a buggy ride or a long walk but it was enjoyable for us. However, property is quite worn out from the accommodation to the facilities; no toiletries were provided either so please ensure you bring along yours! It was however a short enjoyable stay.

The staff attitude is polite and helpful. Room condition is spacious, clean and all equipments are working well. Parking lots are sufficient and easily assessible. I think breakfast should be provided in hotel price. There so many empty restaurant seats with no takers.

The best vacation ever.

Everything went smooth during our stay. The room is spacious. We enjoyed the activities provided at the Sports and Recreational TPGR which are free for the guests. Some of our family members jogged in the morning said they jog while watching some golfers at the site. Very recommended for big family.

Very friendly staff. Easy to get tee time on all 3 golf courses in the resort. Spacious hotel room.

Beautiful, clean n spacious

Istana villa is very comfortable, bright n roomy. 3 rooms came ensuite n my family enjoyed the convenience. Kitchen is well equipped with cutlery. However, there was no cleaning cloth to wipe our spills when making coffee n so there was a mass. Service staffs were very friendly too.

Very nice & spacious room, room was clean. We had a very comfortable stay.

A few walking distance malls will be nice

Hotel sport's facilities are worn down, but rooms are newly renovated. Come here for the quiet stay or golfing, nothing to look forward besides that.

Meeting trip

It was nice for short trip for business meeting as it is 15 minutes from MMHE and close to other petrochemicals plant.

Rooms were spacious and the seperate cubicles for toilet and showering were great for a family of 4. Had the Christmas buffet dinner at the cafe and was quite disappointed with the quality and spread. The dance performance put up by the staff was a good effort.

Worth the money. Quite & relaxing. Stayed at villa, bungalow & 2 bedded previously. Last stay was at 4 bedded room. All relaxing.

A desperate but overall ok experience.

First time ever i had been forced to book larger room because i bring my kids, whom are only 6, 3 and 2 years old. Truth be told, if only we arrived early, i would go to other place. The advertised 2 twin bed are actually 2 single beds. This is a confusing term if you are used to definition of bed that consists of king, queen, double, super single, and single. I translated 2 twins as 2 doubles and not 2 singles. Furthermore, since my relatives is staying at the same place, we could see that the difference between the superior room and the deluxe room is less that 5m square. The floor plan confirms this. To make matters worse, when my relatives checked in their room, there is another guest in their room. The staff did change their room to another afterwards but thanks for the surprise. It was totally unwarrant. With all those said and happened, when everything settled down, the experience was pleasant. The staffs are polite,the beds are comfy, and the infra was in working conditions. The squash court, the sauna, tennis court and the gym are decent. The wi-fi are good but it is without security measures. Sad that i can't use any of those during my past visit(except wi-fi) because i need to visit other relatives during daytime. But perhaps i'll give it a try in future. Definitely going to book their bungalow instead to avoid any hassles. I won't recommend this to my relatives because they had a large family as well. But if you are traveling only with your partner, do try.

Quick Getaway

The resort is near Singapore and there are many Singaporeans there over the weekend. It is a quick getaway for golf or just to relax. We booked the 4 bedroom villa which was very spacious. However, maintenance is terrible. AC was leaking and furnitures were old. The floor was dirty as well. Very poor upkeep throughout the whole resort. Then bed was ok, pillow was uncomfortable/flat and was only given 1 pillow per pax. Breakfast was average. There's bowling alley, huge swimming pools, and spa. The spa is worthy of a mention - one of the best I've been and highly recommended. Overall: it is just ok.

Great weekend stay in a 4 rooms villa. Front office staff was helpful in allowing us to check in early due to my little grand children were dozing off. Resort staff are friendly.

Love it

On the way driving to the resort, I was already wondering if we did a big mistake by booking this place, as this place is out of nowhere and the area of industrial area. Upon reaching the resort, there are plenty of parking spaces and it looked unique. They really pay attention to space. Before entering our room, the space outside was enormous and arranged nicely. I have never seen any hotels like this though. The rooms was also very comfy with TV in each room. The kids were sleeping in their own room with 2 single bed - and TV. Master bedroom also own TV and huge bed. Huge room and kids got lots space to run around. Room carpet was not so clean though. Need to vacuum it really thorough. Love the Khatulistiwa Spa. Price was not bad for a hotel and the massages were amazing. We took 90 minutes massage for RM160. Even the ambience of the spa was sort of rustic. They have a big swimming pool with kiddie pool with water up to my 4 year old boy's neck. Toiletries provided were shampoo + soap, toothbrush, shower cap, sewing kit. Only tried the buffet breakfast - was so so for RM27/adult. Must have a car if you want to stay here..places to eat are not within reach.

Good for a family retreat.

Stayed for a night. Big swimming pools. 8 lanes bowling , which needs maintenance ASAP. Horse riding . And some activities for the kids.

Clean and quiet resort

Kids love the resort, it is quiet and enjoyable 'escape from the city'. The spacious triple deluxe room can sleep 4.

Nice hotel but a bit run down.....the golf range & the bowling alley need to be upgraded.....the road to the Amigo Horse stable is still off-road condition....if it's rain, will be muddy. But the room was maintained well....we had a nice stay.....it was beyond our expectation.....after a very long journey to reach the resort......

Excellent getaway for whole family

Great place for short stay for whole family. Very friendly staff. Not too far away from JB city so great to still go for shopping. Nice breakfast spread and clean.

1 night stay

Nice place, but a bit run down. Elevator have been down for maintenance for ages. Location wise, it is quite far from the next township. It is at least 20min drive from any shopping mall. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Decent

A resort near the port with good security and friendly staff. We stayed in a spacious rooms at the main building, which is clean and well maintained. Decent food for reasonable prices. The pool is good and there's a fair bit of other sports facilities, though the maintenance at this part of the resort could be better here and there. View of the golf course is great.

Great for family and friends gathering

Room is huge, staff are friendly.

We were here for a night for a horse riding jungle trail with amigo horse riding. That's just across the resort. Breakfast from the resort was not bad. The cafe also do serve quality food and the room is huge! Overall the stay was pretty enjoyable and relaxing. We had a good time here and will return to play some golf next time.

not close to Singapore airport

i booked this hotel as it stated 4.89km from Changi Airport in Singapore. This is a long long way form the airport. Beware as hotel will not offer refund.

Banglo with 10 pax

Few Toilet taps head came out not repair. Living room and few rooms light bulb blown not replace. Breakfast not bad. Counter service not bad. The security guards are good.

Not a 4-star resort!!!

The rooms were quite spacious with 2 separate bedrooms and the rooms were very clean. The setting on the golf course was very nice. The hotel itself was a bit outdated and could use some updating. The breakfast buffet was OK but much of the food was cold or lukewarm which I personally don't find very appetizing and wish it would have had a few more western food options. The lift was out of service which made it quite difficult on my 74 and 79 year old parents to have to climb the stairs to the 1st floor to get to their room. We were told the lift would be working in the morning and it wasn't. Will I stay here again? Probably not.

Lovely place, there's a horse ranch right beside it that offers riding sessions - book from the concierge.

2 night stay in 4 bedroom villa.

My family booked a 4 bedroom villa. The villas looked old compared to the 5 bedroom bungalow. The bedrooms were dusty and one of the aircon was leaking badly. The only saving grace was that service was prompt when called. SResort facilities were ok. The bowling alley was badly maintained. The bowling shoes for rental were torn and tattered.

Nedslidt

Nedslidt og ikke særligt rent. Vi havde 2 nætter og det var rigeligt. Bowling er fra 90’erne og virkede ikke særligt godt. Maden er dog god fra a la carte kortet. Og så er de meget gæstfri. Men slidt og lidt beskidt over alt...

서비스는 전체적으로 좋았습니다. 웬만한 질문, 부탁에 친절히 응대해 주었습니다. 야간에 식당 및 룸서비스가 이용이 불가능하고, 거대한 골프리조트이다보니 차량없이는 밖에 나가서 뭘 사먹을 수도 없습니다. 밤에 출출해서 혼났네요. 바의 시설은 형편없고, 객실의 침대는 딱딱하며, 화장실은 다소 낡았다는 인상이네요. 하지만 방은 굉장히 커서 놀랐습니다. 디럭스룸에 침대가 세 개가 있더군요. 딱히 골프 치거나 주변에 볼 일이 있는 게 아니라면 조홀바루 시내에 묵겠습니다.
