Repeat visitor at this wonderful property

This is our second time staying at Tandem Palacio Alfama Suites. The aparments are quite large, very light and bright. The bed is really comfortable and the amenities are great. We look forward to our next visit!

Excellent reception staff!

Nice apartments in the heart of Alfama can make it a bit of fun for the drop off and pick up rides. Location served us well and units were clean and comfortable. Walk anywhere and enjoy Lisbon.

Property was nice. The apartments were a good size. We spoke to the staff and there was no coffee in the rooms and there was none on site for anyone. Food was left over from previous people staying in the cabinets and unfortunately the heating in the room and the gym was not functional and showing error codes. Maybe wrong time to be there?

Great property in a great location, had a very comfortable stay and would definitely stay here again when visiting Lisbon.

Amazing room in the perfect location

The room was perfect for our family of 4. The kids shared a comfortable pull-out in the living room while the full kitchen helped ensure they were never hungry between each stop of our adventure. Having access to the laundry made it even better. Perhaps what was most spectacular was the stunning roof deck - if only we'd stayed in late spring or summer so it was warm enough to enjoy the pool!

Disappointing Stay with Unexpected Charges – I recently stayed at Tandem Hotel in Lisbon, and my experience was highly disappointing due to misleading charges and poor customer service. I booked and paid in advance through Expedia, assuming that was the full cost of my stay. However, upon arrival, the front desk agent informed me that I owed additional taxes, which I expected. But then he claimed that Expedia had not charged me for the room at all and insisted I pay them directly. Caught off guard, but pleased it was less then Expedia quoted I provided my card. Later, I discovered I had been charged twice—once by Expedia and again by Tandem . This was never disclosed upfront, and had I known, I would have never stayed there. Upon returning to the U.S., I realized there was no way to dispute the charge directly with the hotel, making this even more frustrating. Key Issues:    •   Misleading pricing – Expedia listed one amount,

We liked our apartment which is on the top floor with partial view of the waterfront and cruise ships. The apartment was very quiet and the beds were very comfortable. It is conveniently located with lots of good restaurants and small shops nearby. It is walkable to few attractions including Commercial square (downtown), the famous 28E tram stop, Saint George castle, and a few beautiful outlooks. We enjoyed our stay here!

It was good stay- local neighborhood that is safe, accessible, walkable, historic- next to the Pantheon! But there’s no one on the front desk except for certain hours. Our other family member’s apartment had issues with their door that was not addressed right.

Very bad check in. We ask for 2 bedrooms and gave us 1. Supper difficult to find the place. Nobody answers. No personnel until almost 10am. Not worth the money.

Fabulous location and wonderful space!

We liked the suite and the location. It sis lack simple amenities such as coffee pods and face cloths. The showers could be updated as there was mold growing around the bottom of the showers and the caulking was coming off. The receptionist was very friendly, informative and he booked us a tuk tuk tour while we were waiting.

The property was outstanding. Very well equipped and the pool and garden area was incredible. The area itself is quirky with lots of side streets and only about a 25minute walk into the main toen. The reception staff were really helpful and welcoming. Plenty of places nearby to eat and drink. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved the staff (thank you, Luis!) who made late checkin and our overall stay great.

Apartment 1G had amazing views of the city and over the water! It is a huge apartment with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Reception staff were excellent.

Had an ant problem in my room. Also maintenence guys knocked on my door while i was sleeping 2 different days.but i liked the neighborhood and the place was pretty nice

Big, airy light filled comfortable apartment with great views. Really friendly and helpful staff. The only moan was a constant high pitched electrical hum in the bedroom which interrupted sleep throughout the night.

Lovely location with pool. Quiet area at night and morning. In the heart of the city but does not feel like it at the apartments.

Very beautiful space that was clean and the Alfama district is full of restaurants. Would book this hotel again if we return to Portugal

Our family loved Lisbon. We also really enjoyed this hotel. Only negative things were there is no dish soap for the dishwasher no laundry soap for the laundry machine and they supply the coffee maker but no coffee pods. Other than the place is excellent. I would recommend it to friends or family.

Had a fantastic stay, we loved everything about the apartments. The pool was particularly welcome after sightseeing in the sunshine! The staff were lovely and helpful, really couldn’t be more happy. Thanks to everyone there for making our trip to Lisbon so amazing.

Paradise in the city!

This apartment style hotel was perfect for our family of four. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and extremely helpful. The location is perfect in Alfama and the property is an absolute oasis to return to after a day of sight seeing.

Good team.

I’ve traveled a lot, and this place might be my and my family’s all-time favorite. The location is right in the heart of the action, but the rooms felt quiet and safe. The hotel is easy to walk to from the train station. The view from the pool was even better than the photos show. All the staff were warm and helpful. I was sad that we only had booked two nights. The only thing that might be a hardship for some is if you are walking from the train and you have rolling luggage, the hills are very steep and the streets are cobblestone, but don’t let that keep you from staying there. This place is great.

Good location/restricted street

Good location in Alfama with great views. Street is restricted so only taxis can go there, Uber cannot. This would have been good to know before arrival. Lots of steps to get to apt but apt was clean and comfortable. Would have been nice to have maid service at least once in 10 days.

A really lovely apartment and great location to explore the rest of Lisbon from.

We were in 1E on the 5th level with amazing 270 degree views of the river and city. Very nice, clean, modern, comfortable 1BR with living and dining areas and kitchen. Manager Luis was extremely responsive and helpful. Sr. Fado across the street offered a nice evening of dinner and fado. In the heart of Alfama, so it was an easy walk to many terrific sights. Highly recommended.

With the exception of the slow-flowing drains in the bathrooms, the hotel was perfect: beautiful, exceptionally well located, incredible view from the pool area, well-equiped kitchenette, kind and helpful staff. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

awful, after 8 hour flight w 2 small children my parents and my husband that had a knee injury there is no way into the property we had 6 suitcases! Our private taxi was not allowed to drive up to the hotel to drop us off its a private road we called emailed and no help and they refused to refund us! And the area did not look geeat! Do not book this hotel

Gran experiencia.

Muy buena experiencia. El hotel es muy bueno y el barrio es genial. Con un poco más de calor se podría aprovechar mucho la pileta. Y Luis nos atendió muy bien

There was no precheck in reminder. There was NO COMMUNICATION or goodwill attempt to make sure that since i already paid the hotel accommodation cost. No attempt was made to reach me and make sure i have the necessary check in detail when I arrived late. I did not have a problem with Lisbon service apartments. Please make sure we can at least get some kind of communication at this time how they plan to rectify my hardship that night which was possibly recorded in their many cameras. Thank you.

Good place to stay, we loved it

Overall, I was very happy with this property. The location was great, it was a good size, and the grounds were gorgeous. We stayed for over a week and had to chase the staff a bit to get the room cleaned. It would be helpful to provide dishsoap and an adequate supply of toilet paper for the stay.

Property was great, attention was excellent and very close to the train station.

The staff was very helpful, professional and kind. The area is full of restaurants, nice wine bars, grocery stores. In walking distance to metro station and busses. We would return to Tandem Hotel Apartments. We stayed at the part with the elevator, which was a real plus.

Lovely studio apartment in old part of Lisbon

The studio apartment was wonderful for two but could easily have accommodated 4. It looked newly renovated with a great kitchen, bathroom and second wc. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and there were large lockers for storing luggage in after checkout and before departure. The location was very quaint but was in quite a hilly part of the city. Would definitely recommend as long as you’re ok with hills/steps. That said Bolt was very inexpensive -€6 approx to the centre.

Beautiful apartment. Large, modern, quiet. Perfect place to rest after walking around Alfama. Front desk has day hours only, but they are very helpful. Beautiful garden by the pool, with the backdrop of the National Pantheon as a backdrop. Would highly recommend this place if you want to stay in the Alfama area.

I’d come back

The apartment is in the heart of alfama, the noise from the cruise ship is quite annoying but luckily it only happens once a day and just in the morning.

Very comfortable apartment in a beautiful location. Parking was a bit of a challenge and there were some small repairs needed on things in the apartment but otherwise it was really lovely.

Just a delightful sanctuary in the middle of old world historic urban chaos

Beautiful property unexpectedly nestled in the Alfama district. Several buildings form the suites which are apartments. We had beautiful views, lots of space , well equipped. Beautiful garden/pool area. Easy to walk into the downtown. Lots of local markets nearby and great Fado places!

We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Tandem Palacio Suites in the Alfama section of Lisbon. Our unit was large with a lovely small patio and amazing views of the river. It is very centrally located. I would caution, however, that Alfama is a very steep and hilly (We averaged something like 70 flights of steps per day.) It is not at all suited to anyone with walking difficulties. You may also want to request a suite on the bottom floor. Our suite had some elevator access, but it still required about 6 flights of stairs.

Big apartment

Check in was easy and Louis was friendly and help with recommedations and info on public transport. The apartment was newly refurbished, very clean and spacious and had a view over rooftops to the river. We didn't use thepool as it was February but it was very clean and the area around it was very nice. There are lots of steps up to the apartment and the area is lovely but very hilly.There are loads of restaurants on the doorstep. Would recommend Alfama Cellar but musr book. Would have been nice to have some washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets and a tea towel, but not a big problem for us

Located on the most historic street of Lisbon, this accommodation met all our needs. Highly recommend it.

This property had everything that we could have asked for. We only wish we had longer to stay in Lisbon.

Wonderful apartment in great Alfama location!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Tandem Palacio Alfama Suites. It was very modern, spacious, and comfortable and had pretty much everything you could need. The views from both directions were beautiful. Great shower with toiletries and strong water pressure. It’s in a great location in Alfama near plenty of restaurants and just a short 4” walk from the Apollonia Train station. The train station has a grocery store and is a major transportation hub so we could easily access trains, buses and the metro to get anywhere. The apartment has a clothes washer and drying rack for air drying, but a self service laundry facility is just steps away. There are elevators to get to our apt on the 6th floor but you still have to access some stairs. The pool is simple but there are lounge chairs to relax in a nice garden setting and a terrific view. Luis was the manager and was very nice and extremely accommodating to any needs we had. A couple things to note: the walk from the train station is a very steep climb up hill; the apartment doesn’t have even the most basic cooking supplies such as paper towels, salt and pepper, or cooking oil. There are no Instructions on how to use the washer, climate control, etc that would have been helpful. Minor inconveniences though. We had a great stay.

The pool was filth. Dark green, can see bottom, oily film on top, smelled. My wife legs were tired from walking so she stood in the shallow end and there was so much crap she could feel (but not see) on the bottom I told her get out because theres prob broken glass. Disgusting. To take my money, when I do a search for a place with a pool, and not provide, is dishonest and theft. And the condition it was in didn't happen over night.

Great Apartment with everything we needed. Large space and well appointed

We had an amazing time staying at this hotel. The views we had out our window blew us away! Such a wonderful way to start and end everyday of our trip. This hotel is really nice is you are spending any length of time in Lisbon. There is room to spread out, have a meal, do a load of laundry, etc. Way better than a 200sq ft hotel room.

Beautiful apartments and pool.

I have never left a poor review but I feel it’s important to write this one. We checked in only to have the manager inform us that our booking was cancelled 15 mins ago. Expedia didn’t inform us. But that was fine as he made a new reservation for us. The internet stopped working the first day and they couldn’t find a technician for 3 days. By day 3, we had enough and left. I don’t know if the problem was resolved. By the 2nd day, the lift stopper working as well and wasn’t resolved by the day we left. The grounds are beautiful but for the price, the property should ensure they have sufficient man power and dealt with the issues. They only have 1 manager/ reception working from 9.30- 6.30/7pm). The manager who was there was so stressed from dealing with the issues he told us this was his last day. The air con was also weak in summer and you couldn’t control the temperature. It’s a pity as the location is wonderful and central, the apartment decor is modern and nice and the pool has a great view, but the hotel needs a better system before they welcome guests and demand that price. Also, only one floor has elevator and you will need to heave your luggages up stairs if you are not on that floor. I won’t recommend it for families with young kids or elders.

A great spot in the heart of Alfama. The kitchen/living area and the bathroom were spacious, but the bedroom was cramped. The bedroom cupboards could not be properly opened because there was not enough space beside the bed.

The room is quite simple. No soap and small towels. The bathroom has a bad smell. Otherwise, the bed room and living room are good.

Amazing location but can't get there by car, so if you have luggage it is about 150m from a road were taxis can drop you off. Very friendly service. The pool area is well kept aswell and a nice option if you have time.

Beautiful modern apartments in beautiful old buildings, fantastic service, a pool and garden that’s dreamy, and a brilliant location that’s calm but close to the action. Loved it.

wonderful stay

We had lovely time at Tandem. Stayed for my girlfirend's birthday. The views from our apartment were amazing and so is the rooftop pool. Great location. Luis and the front desk was very friendly and helpful.

Riktigt nice ställe

Sjusst ställe. Nära till allt, gångavstånd. Härlig atmosfär. Vi bode i duplex riktigt rymligt. Var 3 dubbel sängar och en stor bäddsoffa. Enligt hotels bara 2 sängar så det var större än förväntat. Trevlig personal. Dock ingen checkin kl 14 utan räkna med 15 då de har lunchstängt mellan 13.30-15.00, så lite dåligt. Och diskmaskinen funkade inte alls och behövdes lagas, blev handdisk för oss men det överlevde vi. Rekommenderas!

Gorgeous Apartments, Great Historic Location

We loved how well the property was able to blend historical and contemporary styles. Our rooms were fantastic: breathtaking views, well-appointed rooms and outstanding staff. The hotel is located in a historical (and very safe) portion of the town, with tons of excellent dining options within 5 min walk and excellent historical and shopping experiences within 20 min. We absolutely loved our stay and we are looking forward to coming back

Beautiful apartment with nice views of historic buildings and the river beyond. I enjoyed the large, updated room. It had everything I needed to enjoy my stay. The area was quiet and safe. I was easily able to walk to nearby restaurants and attractions with ease. I would definitely consider staying here again. Obrigado!

Great cozy stay, wish we stayed longer

The apartment was very spacious, modern, and in a good location. Raphael greeted us, did an excellent job showing us around the property, and gave great recommendations for places to visit and eat.
