Clean and tidy, easy check-in with very friendly staff. All the facilities I'd expect for the price. Happy to go back if the opportunity arises.

Clean hotel but shower leaked a lot when in use, no milk provided or flannels which we found unusual. Very central though for our needs. Bed not very comfy.

Great stay

Good location close to motorway, shops and to family. Rooms are spacious and clean. Allocated parking spots for each room is very helpful. We would definitely stay again.

A few maintenance issues, holes in walls filled but not painted. Paint peeling off ceiling, joins from carpet to lino lifted and sealant. No milk (just powdered milk) no herbal teas. Small rooms with no sound proofing - could hear neighbours conversation late into the night. Friendly staff - clean but dated.

Excellent very clean

Older style motel but very clean and well maintained. A dryer in the laundry would be useful during wetter, colder months.

The motel was very quiet considering it was in a busy and noisy area, would stay again. Need to change the door lock on the bathroom we couldn't lock it. Otherwise great place.

Great motel, good parking

I liked how there was a carport area for my vehicle. Overall enjoyed the room. Could be given more milk for the coffee and tea provided. And more face cloths

Apartment style motel. Good for families. We got three people living in a two bedroom unit with 4 beds in total. It's enough for a five people to stay. The staff are very friendly. Especially the guy in the front desk. He is very kind and helpful. I recommend this motel.

Great location for Mt. Smart stadium visit and then some shopping. Our 3rd time here. Private and spacious units

Our room smelt like wet dog perhaps carpet was damp or had been cleaned but not aired properly, carpet was dirty. Milk left on bench was warm so we did not use from experience this is usually in the fridge or given at reception. No real welcome at reception just asked to fill in a form given key and pointed at map to our room I had to guess what was being communicated. Not rude but barely anything said. 2 of the 4 beds were really uncomfortable my son slept on couch second night as he said that was more comfy. For $255 per night I just expected more.

Clean room, everything we needed

There was a huge green space perfect for children to run around. It's a pity the swimming pool has been filled in, it makes a lovely garden but in summer a pool must have been a real bonus. Very quiet room even though situated on a busy street.

The couch was Very dirty , there were bugs stuck to the roof in the bathroom. There were no facecloths like there normally is in a motel.

Needs work

The room was comfortable but very basic. Two thin tired towels were left for us. Tea and coffee making facilities were available but we weren’t offered any milk. Cleaning needs attention. We didn’t appreciate the cobwebs and spiders. Otherwise appeared clean. Thin walls ……we could hear next doors tv as one of the beds backed onto that wall. Not much lighting outside so returning to the room at night wasn’t safe when alone.

Great place to stay with good amenities. Awesome to be within walking distance to Sylvia Park.

Simple and practical layout. Poor Zenbu wifi. Clean and neat. Close to amenities.

It was ok, the room was actually quite cold and there were no extra blankets to use either. I'm from Dunedin so for me to say I was cold is definitely a concern. Also no iron was in the room either.

Good location!

Positive: much quieter in the evening/night than expected, being Easter Saturday. Great bathroom in terms of size and showering. Negative: no arm chairs, only a two seater sofa and blinds rather than curtains, thus allowing more light in than was appreciated. Would stay there again.

Bathroom & sleeping area was fine but the kitchenette area could do with updating. Overall not bad.

The fact that we could cook our own meal is what attracted us to this property. Otherwise too far from the event venue and traffic was bad.

Room was nice enough but we really struggled to sleep with a the lights on outside our room all night, the blinds don’t really block it out as the light comes in the sides. Room was comfy but pretty dated, good quality for price though

The floor, tower and the bed sheet are too old not clean. Flea bit us. The price is too high at this bad condition. We paid the NZ$185.45. We are not happy for the stay and not worth it. Peter Zhang

Rooms were well appointed and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Will rebook when next require accommodation in Mt Wellington.

It was handy to where we needed to be. Quite noisy being adjacent to busy road. Wifi absolutely hopeless and so user unfriendly!

I liked that the bedrooms were separate from the lounge.it was nice not having units upstairs keeping you awake.the area of the motel was lovely and quiet.loved the full size fridge. We will visit again

Clean spacious room, but no fan in bathroom so fogged up room couldn't use only mirror. Otherwise a good stay.

Really clean and tidy. We only stayed one night and the property was perfect for us.

The suite was exceptionally well equipped with the best quality items with the ability to cook for ourselves. A full set of Sky TV channels and an excellent heater made sure our evening was cozy and entertaining. Despite being on a very busy road, the suite was comfortable and not as noisy as I had at first feared. The double glazing certainly did it’s job. Not far off Highway 1, it makes for a convenient place to break a long journey.

The place was super quiet despite being so close to main roads. The man on reception was very helpful and courteous. Disappointed that on the morning we were due to leave we had a knock on the door at 9:55 by the cleaning staff to tell us to hurry up to leave. I haven’t ever come across this before and I have travelled a great deal all over the world as well as in NZ. I felt it was unnecessary.

The owner stayed late to meet me on check in as my flight was late. Really appreciated that level of service.

It looked like all of the other rooms had been done up however we were in a room shoved behind the office by the rubbish bins. The renovations of the other rooms looked nice from what we could see.

Would highly recommend staying at Sylvia Park Motel! Very clean rooms, with access to many facilities including kitchen, laundry, all sky channels, and only walking distance to shops. Room service everyday! Definitely felt very comfortable and relaxed throughout my entire stay!!!

Only down side was that I was not able to shower because shower head which was obviously glued before & fell apart so wasn't able to be used. Great setting & good staff. Even with the shower disappointment I would still use again.

Appears i woke the person up when i checked in as looked to be asleep or resting his eyes behind the counter. Rooms are nice enough with an attempt to modify them. Had to check out early and had no where to drop my key off before office opened so left on an unlocked room due to doors having a deadlock, icould not lock behind me

The layout of the main room is poor and the shower is not suitable for older people likewise the steps up to the main office.needs some hand rails for stability. But overall for the price a bit of a let down. I am commenting on unit 10. The man in charge was helpful and was prompt to respond to a couple of requests.

I had a great stay here - very quiet and peaceful, and my room was clean and relaxing. Perfect for if you have an early morning meeting in Panmure or Mount Wellington.

the Only staff we saw was fella when we checked in. Upon checkout they just left a basket for keys. No have a nice stay or anything that would be considered a warm welcome. Nice clean room but furniture lay out was Wrong, we were not able to view tv from couch we both had to sit on bed to view.

In need of update, modernisationand refurbishment.

Demanding cleaning staff demanding exit before checkout time and at 1 minute past, noise level transfer from neighboiring property, other guests and main highway unacceptable.

Clean and well kept, good location and easy to find. Close to shops and main arterials. Single beds were tiny and the neighbors were quiet noisy but overall I would recommend this motel.

Tiny shower

Check in was ok, man was very polite. Shower was very small , hardly any room to move in there. The whole area where the bathroom is is very limited in space. Furnishings are older but generally ok condition. No chain or double lock on the door, would be good for peace of mind if they had this. Average motel, would stay again if i had too but wouldn’t be my first choice.

The room was ok but we only had 2 plates etc 1 teaspoon 1 handtowel 1 toiletpaper and very cheap basic toiletries. It could be a really nice motel if they put some effort into it. It was like a cheap backpackers and I would not go there again.

Freestanding units

Comfortable stay. Main road could be an issue for some, check this before you book. We didn't mind it, not as bad as I thought it would be.
