Noisy can’t sleep, room are very congested

My room was not made up when I arrived at 6pm. The door to my room would not lock. The window in my room would not close, so I was unable to shut the noise out. There were no fly screens on the windows. There was no tea spoon for the hot drinks. I really would like a refund on the room.

The Pub was well run, multiple areas to eat with family and friends, some areas outside, great for kids, quieter areas inside for a chat and coffee and very good meals. There was Parking for at least over 10 cars at the rear even though the web says there is not. The garbage bay out side in the lane car entry needs a good clean and hose out. All doors in the accommodation need rubber strip silencers to stop them banging / slamming closed and some had to be pulled to actually close as too many layers of paint on the door frame.. The toilet seats in the bathrooms are the wrong type for the base and very loose. Carpet was new, beds were new. When I tried to sit on bed and it rolled away from me, quite dangerous. The corridor still stunk of smoke even though it is a smoke free zone. Trains close by convenient but ran way into the early morning with horns still being sounded during the late night and early morning despite their being gates and alarms sounds for cars and pedestrians.

The food was really good, nice clean pub, friendly staff. our accommodation was just 4 beds couldn't find the remote for the tv, cups and coffee and tea no jug no common room no cold water tap in bathroom, we were passing through and didnt expect much but was over $200 for one night travelled with 2 kids was very dissapointed, Staff were great

Pros: -beds are comfortable and sheets, towels and room carpets look clean -parking was convenient (in the back of the building) -the AC conditioning worked properly and there was a mini fridge in the room Cons: -it wasn’t mentioned in the description of those hotel on Expedia that for the price over $150 US dollars you get a room with no shower/toilet . The shared amenities on the floor include two shower stalls, two toilets and one (!) sink for 15 rooms. The showers have NO HOT WATER! - The rooms are tiny and very minimally furnished, which would be totally fine with us, but the walls are paper thin and there was a huge gap in the glass shades on the window, so that for the whole night it felt like trains from outside of the street and people in the corridor are going right through your room. There was a small TV above one of the beds but no remote, so I am not sure if it was working. Also there were sticks of instant coffee and sugar in the room but no kettle or coffee maker. Why would you need coffee supplies then? - Half of the night starting around 2 am someone (without a key card I guess) was banging the door downstairs trying to get in. - The rooms have COCKROACHES!!! If you read my other reviews for other hotels that I have stayed at in 40 countries you would understand that I am not a picky traveler, but this Australian hotel I will remember for a long time . We were so “impressed” that we have changed our plans and instead of staying in Newcastle left

we had a good stay! Our room was clean, showers as well not too much pressure but hot ! We had dinner downstairs food was good, good service as well I recommend for a short stay! Just a little bit noisy

If you like smell of urine and vomit this is your place. We were also greeted with a number of cockroaches crawling over us and throughout the room. We notified the management for a refund no reply. It would have to be the worst accommodation in the country. A tent in the park would have been more acceptable.

They “accidently” charged me when checking in when I had already booked online but in retrospect it was probably on purpose. They promised a refund on the spot but when emailing them to follow up got completely ghosted, stealing my money

존나 별로임 미리 결제하고 간건데 호텔측에서 3번의 페이를 더 빼갔고 그거에 대해 항의하자 자기네들은 별 잘못 없는 것처럼 사과도 안하고 환불도 안해주려고 해서 익스피디아랑 연결해서 그나마 해결 했지만 제대로 된 해결도 아니고 여행이 끝난 지 일주일도 더 넘었는데 아직도 제대로 안 끝남 호텔 때문에 4중 페이가 됐고 원래 페이한 69불이 아니고 결국 호텔측이 체크아웃 이후 또 빼간 78불로 결제가 마무리 됐으며 걔네 실수인데 transaction fee도 다 빼고 환불해줌ㅋㅋ̆̈ 호텔은 나쁜것도 좋은 것도 아니지만 시끄러움에 민감하다면 최악이고 암튼 직원 서비스 최악. 스트레스 받고 싶지 않다면 다른데 추천함.

The staff and service was second to none!! Meal in bistro was excellent and service was brilliant. Close to many food options and watering holes as well as public transport. Accommodation was ok, rooms were clean but in need of some maintenance same as amenities. But definitely did the job and price was right 👍👍

Very close to the station but noise was not a problem. Parking out the back and very clean rooms. Food was absolutely disgusting.

Property was good for price. Used to be in the navy so used to shower anywhere. Wife was not too keen would not use the communal showers. Found a used condom under our bed.

Decent living for the solitary worker

I didn’t like that I had a fire door opened at 1am by drunken males and the duty manager telling us to go back to bed. No apology! I didn’t like being kept awake by the drunken males all night and I didn’t like finding them using the female showers in the morning. I will never go back

Had issues unlocking doors but the staff were quick to help. No mirror in the bathroom.

The room was clean, if simple. The shared bathroom was not great at all. Toiles seats barely attached, shower stalls with nowhere to put your dry clothes, not even an actual garbage bin, just a black bag on the floor.

Room 10 had a really loud bang within the pipes/walls all night and early morning and didn't stop, it unfortunately kept me awake all night. The front rooms are on the main road and across the road from Hamilton Train station and not double glazed so you can hear every pedestrian crossing signal constantly. The bathrooms were nice, great location

The aircon was not working, loads of noise during the night because of the location and the smoking alarm in the middle of the night made my stay a little uncomfortable.

Disgusting

Apart from clean sheets, everything else was so dirty and smelly that I felt uncomfortable and disgusted just moving around in the washroom, hallways and the bedroom.

One of our room keys didn’t work and we could get into out room so 4 of us had to sleep in 1 queen Bed and I spoke to the receptionist to next day at check out and I have heard nothing yet. Very disappointed

The room was nice and you couldn’t hear the noise from the downstairs pub, access by stairs only, room had TV with all free to air channels, the shower water pressure could be stronger my only dislike

I cancelled my room booking a little over week prior to when I had booked and was informed that I would be refunded. I have not seen the refunded money as yet.

The bar downstairs was pumping and a lot of noise could be heard, but upstairs you wouldn't know. It was so cool to hear upstairs after a couple of bevies downstairs. Great value for money, the bed was comfy, and everything was clean.
