Our room was not cleaned before we checked in. There was old food in the fridge, trash around the room, dirty towels, and a wad of spit/snot in the sink. After seeing all of this we chose to not stay and just left that same night.

Rooms not what was reserved. Bathroom floor dirty. Security lock broken.

The TV did not work The shower was dirty

The guy working at the front desk (don’t know if he was a manager or what) was an absolutely delight and very friendly. However the room that we got was absolutely garbage. Water was leaking from the roof onto the carpet so the room had a moldy nasty smell and the floor leading to the bathroom was wet. The coffee pot wasn’t working and was missing the pot. The restroom was not clean at all and the toilet was broken. Should’ve gone to a different hotel instead.

I reserved a room for non smoking I get there , the room smelled like smoke , there was a blunt roched someone left on the bed rest, there was no towels walls floor ceilings was dirty when I tried to leave the room the door handle from the inside came off , I checked in at 7pm and literally checked out at 11pm I didn't stay the night at all.

Horrific experience

The worst place I've ever stayed & I travel a lot. The door lock was broken, the toilet seat broke off when I lifted it up, there were visible dead & live roaches, burns on the comforter & sheets & the sheets were also stained. We didn't remove our clothes because we were too disgusted by the filthy conditions. At 5am, someone from the front desk used a key to try & enter our room with an obviously intoxicated stranger who said he left something in the room. We left immediately. Every single person I saw there looked like a prostitute, a pimp or a drug dealer. DO NOT STAY HERE.

We checked in at around 9 pm. Main lobby was closed and we had to go to a window in the entrance to announce ourselves. The man Jo came to check us in looked tired’. We drove around to our room and the key card didn’t work; back to the fron got new card entered the room and turn on the lights bathroom fan screetched and no light in bathroom. Back to the desk and got new room and once again the card didn’t work. Back to the front for new card. We had booked for 2 nights and prepaid so were stuck there. Every time we tried to access the room the card never worked. The room was not good. Chair had stains; carpet dirty; dirt in corners of bathroom.

It was very Quiet as to tht is how I like to sleep. Very clean . My Room just didn't have any bath towels 😩😩

I like it, the service was good.

Not enough lighting around the property including the stairs. Only 2 lamps were working in the room with only one bulb in each lamp

Stay away

The place was very bad up keep very dirty, lots of broken lamps and dirty curtains. The room was not clean at all.

Awful

This hotel had nothing but crackheads staying at it and the pictures are a scam. There was seman stains and blood stains on the beds, the room smelt like a pack of cigarettes and there were multiple German roaches that came out. We ended up not staying here and they refuse to give us our money back.

Very bad place

This place was terrible, I could even stay for a minute, I have booked non-smoking room through Hotels.com, then I got the room and it has very bad smell, and the trash cans were full, it seems it was used before we get it, the room was in a terrible condition. Then I went back to talk to the front desk agent, he told me this is the only room he has, and I can tell the place was empty there were 4 or 5 cars only in the parking lot, I told him I don't want the room he said he will refund me if the agent called him then I have left and I contacted Hotels.com the agent contacted the front desk guy and he told the agent that he offered me another room which is not correct, anyway the agent told me that he can't do anything since he followed the procedure! I don’t know how Hotels.com listed that property in thier listing and it has very bad reviews and reputation, also as a customer they should protect me, but that didn’t happen and they believed that front desk guy, this is totally unacceptable. Lesson learned, I will never use Hotels.com again or any third party booking company. And don't even think to stay in this property.

Spoiled milk and wouldn’t get new one, roaches lopsided beds and ac didn’t workout

DON’T STAY HERE…FILTHY!!

This was a horrible stay…as you walked in it smelled like wet dog. There was a spider in the bath tub. There was no soap of any kind in the room, the hair dryer was broken. The ceiling in the restroom has stains like rust water. The coffee pot was broken and there was no coffee in the room. I will not be staying here again and don’t recommend to anyone. For the price this room should have been well kept but it was trash. Very dissatisfied and disappointed for my first visit to San Antonio.

Place was very peaceful and clean, front desk agent was very friendly and helpful,check out was smooth and quick, overall staff was great, a good asset to the wyndham family

This property was horrific. The hotel, it's room, property, and staff were below any any expectation and advertised amenities. I would not have stayed at this hotel having seen it beforehand nor would I have put my worst enemy in one of the rooms. The room was not only disgusting but was unsafe for an animal not to mention a human. There were missing handles, holes patched with receipt paper, peeling and chipping pieces out of the room. The door also had no weather stripping at the entrance leaving any passer-by or to look in if they pleased. These are only a few of the issues I experienced at this property. There were more issues and I have and will provide pictures upon request.

The manager noticed we reserved a smoking room, (my fault as I didn’t notice until the day of on the way there) and saw that we had a child and got us a non smoking room! But as it comes the room still smelled horrible, we didn’t expect it to be all that anyways concerning it’s a super 8 in the outskirts of San Antonio. So we didn’t complain as it was of our choosing anyways. But lol no fire alarm just exposed wires, phone wasn’t plugged into anything, light in the bathroom didn’t have a cover so wires were exposed. Bed sheets had tiny holes in them. BUT smelled clean so there was that lol along with the towels! Bathroom also had two switches on the inside but both were turning on a fan… but it made it really hot in the bathroom some how.. maybe it was a heater ? lol anyways we really weren’t all that upset or anything since we knew what we were choosing lol.

Dirty and air conditioned not working

This was one on the dirtyest hotels i have stayed at. Worst part was getting up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and seeing 10 to 15 german roaches running around the vanity.

Waiting on my refund

First room toilet was backed up and would not flush. The next room was black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom cracks exposed in the ceiling in the living room carpets were dirty, stained walls and assorted other. The hotel did not offer coffee or breakfast as stated there was no coffee in the room towels were staying stained, and not enough. Staff stated they were going through renovations, which the rooms showed they really really needed. This was the most discouraging day we have ever been on. We know that the hotel room was low priced, but did not feel the price matched the poor quality of the rooms and Services. Expedia should be ashamed to even advertise this property. Very disappointed.

Felt unsafe downstairs neighbors got there property stolen and they were pounding on our door.

Cool deal

Last minute overnight stay to beat the heat. The pool was clean and not crowded. The air conditioning worked wonderfully (ours broke that morning at home which is why we needed to cool down). I booked online and found everything we desired at a reasonable price. Check in was easy and the young lady who checked us in casually told me that the room we picked was not available so she upgraded us to a suite. The service at this Super 8 is above average. No problems only solutions with a caring attitude. This was my second visit and I will be going back again and again. It is not new and shiny but clean and comfortable is all I need. When i factor in a fair price and good service, I am a happy bargain hunter:)

There was nothing good are nice about that place. They lie about breakfast. There was no one there that was friendly at all. The ice machine wasn’t working. The washer and dry didn’t even work. Sad to say that the pool was very very dirty and green was in the water. In my room where I was horribly staying in, the bed was not clean right the roll away bed had nasty spots in the pillows. The icebox and the microwave was dirty and didn’t work, the telephone was broken etc. That was the horrible stay at any motel are hotel that I had ever been too.

Just dirty

Room was in need of Repairs. Non Smoking room smelled like an ash tray. People slamming doors and talking loud outside our Door at 2am.

Wouldn’t go again

The room was in terrible condition. This place should be shut down. They had no hot water to shower and did nothing to help we had to leave early and get a room else where.

Reserved a king room in the middle of winter. Arrived and they room was cold, the heat didnt work, doors were damaged inside. The room smelled like smoke and it was a nonsmoking room. I told the guy desk at the front desk and he said that we didnt leave the heat on long enough for it to start working. After explaining to him that we had it running for 30 minutes and it was still blowing he said well it worked for the last people. He told me that there were not any other open rooms and that he would need to go check the heat. After he checked the heat all of a sudden there was another room for us. He moved us room but the room conditions were not any better. Doors damaged, no hairdryer, no shampoo, no hand soap, toliets were stopped up.

Beds were low, and , weren't hard as a rock, Room had a funky smell. Tv was being held up by cups

Run away

The room had an odor. The bed had no sheet for the mattress there was food in the refrigerator the tv had a film on the screen. I won’t stay here again and if you’re smart you won’t either. They also want $50.00 pet fee per dog per night

We liked the location. Inappropriate measures for an emergency Situation. Needs more stairs. Room was dirty, after driving 13 hrs we needed some rest. Stayed at other super 8 . Very impressed. This one was bad. Water wasn’t hot, dirty floors, dead bugs behind bed frame, looked like a dead cockroach in bathroom light. Outside of microwave was filthy. I didn’t feel comfortable there, but there was no refund and we ended up leaving early. We wouldn’t recommend this one and won’t come back.

Comfortable evening away

Comfortable with everything we needed and extras we did not expect. Friendly, easy check in (and check out). Excellent deal for the price. We will be back for sure.

Very Poor

The non smoking room smelled like a smoking room. The smoke alarm was missing (wonder why). They advertised breakfast (which is why we paid 10 bucks more to stay) and did not have any breakfast. Bed linens had cigarette burn holes in them. Had to leave our clothes in our car so they wouldn’t smell like cigarettes. Bed look like it had waves in it but surprisingly comfortable(only good thing). Staff was nice

Dirty sheets with holes, old stained towels, will not give replacement sheets or towels, no shampoo, no breakfast, dirty carpet, broken door...

It was conveniently located near the reason for my trip. I booked two rooms and in one room, the tv didnt work well and the toilet was leaking all over the floor. In the other room, there was no remote and the fridge was leaking onto the carpet. We came back to the room late and there were several people hanging around outside just staring at us. It was really uncomfortable. The soda machine was not working either.

Uncomfortable

When I first entered the room it was hot, and the unit was off. The curtains were not able to shut properly because the curtain rods were not connected to the wall entirely. There was a hole in the wall, and someone took the batteries out of the remote. The bathroom had odd spots on it. I did not use the bath at all. I did not feel comfortable in that space, and checked out early the next day. I was scheduled for two nights.

They had no towels or soap in our room for the first two nights. I had to go to the front desk to get them myself. They locked us out of our room the second and third night and I had to go to the front desk to get them to reset the key. Housekeeping only came in one time. Drug deals were going on in the parking lot after dark as well.

Wish I could capture the smell for you….

Horrendous. We left as soon as we got there to find a new hotel…. We just hope Sandi and Joe are still together. Trying to get a refund but you can only do that if you go back to the bulletproof glass within 30 mins… we left the key on the table and called Uber to take us back to the airport asap instead…. After spending $75 on Uber, we found somewhere we could at least lay our heads for 4 hours before the rental car place opened up. We couldn’t do that here without wondering what kind of creepy crawlies we would’ve left with. Choose somewhere, ANYWHERE else….

Do you ever visit any of the sites? I have pictures. Also false advertising. No airport shuttle like it says which is one of the reasons why I booked it. The bathroom door had a hole with the bottom looking like someone took a bite. A hole above the shower head and damage by the light. Not happy at all!

Worst Hotel Ever!

There was a hole in the wall, the carpet was not vacuumed, and a cockroach in the bathroom. No shampoo or conditioner. Only has one fitted sheet on the bed, no flat sheet. We asked to change 3 different rooms, and they were all like this. The receptionist was nowhere to be found at the front when needed. Then to find out she was smoking pot outside the building. Needless to say, we asked for a refund went to Days Inn & Suites nearby instead.

We have been staying at this motel every time we stay in San Antonio and we never had a problem. Until now we got a room with a broken(Cracked toilet) and at night roaches were coming out of there. By the time we woke up the toilet was leaking and we ask management for another room. They said that they will call us when a room is available. Never got the call back so we decided to go to management after we got back from our errands. They gave us another room. The only issue we had with the other room was the restroom door was broken.

I was very disappointed in my stay at Super 8 - there was no breakfast like it was mentioned on the ad and no shuttle to the airport. I will never stay there again!!!

Photos Are Misleading

Hotels.con really needs to find a way to post an accurate description, along with photos, of each of the places they list. This place was gross. Don't trust the photos and take time to read reviews instead.

The hotel was DISGUSTING I mean absolutely gross. The walls were nasty and you could see what looked like liquid or stains all over the walls. The carpets were disgusting. The bathroom ceiling had discoloration and paint chipped. The light switches were broken off. The lamps look like they had water damage. The fire detector was not even working or even there. The whole where it was supposed to be was plugged up with tissue paper. The pool was GREEEEEEN green. I was just so disappointed and digested. Literally sick to my stomach.

I was told i was going to have a non smoking room and the first thing i that hit me as i walked in the room was a very strong smell of smoke the restroom had no lights

Pool was icky green and closed, my room had hair in the tub, the shampoo bottle was half empty, I think they had made the bed, put in fresh towels and moved on. I never leave reviews, but this one was just too much.

The property is OLD. The bedspreads are Old & has holes, the refrigerator's freezer was so frozen PACKED on ice until the freezer door wouldn't open. The pool was GREEN. It was just a HORRIBLE experience & I am SURPRISED that Expedia would even Have such a place in their listing.

Not very good

Staff at front desk very rude, no soap or toilet paper in room, bad condition of room. They announce "Free breakfast" but they don't have anything, when I asked person at desk was very rude.

That place is not properly maintained

do not stay at this hotel !!!!!! I got a room with 2 queen beds no tv or mini fridge. The door did not lock and it didnt have the latch thing either on the door. Called and told them what was going on, I did get moved into another room. The second room had a tv but no microwave or mini fridge. It was very dirty. I asked for my money back and was refused. Ended up going to Walmart to buy bed sheets and lysol wipes to clean the room myself. ALSO!! no washer and dryer. They have been broken into. Worst place I have ever stayed at.

Just overall gross and sketchy. Did not feel safe at all.

Worst $100 dump I’ve ever stayed at

I stayed here only because my family had booked here. There is no service no ice machine not much of anything. The mattresses are old and thin so your basically just sleeping on springs. There is drug paraphernalia along the fence and the property has trash everywhere. I will say the sheets were clean but my sons family had to go to target and buy sheets since the ones in their room made them all itchy. Of course with COVID-19 there is no breakfast and the extra taxes were ridiculous.

Bad experience

We are not going to use Motel Super 8 ever again because of this just one night stay: bedsheets with a holes- can you imagine this?

Sheets were stained. They need to get rid of sheets/blankets that are stained especially if the stain remains after they have been washed.

Bad motel

Towels were like dish cloths tile in bathroom not clean and mold in corners. Rips in the couch cushion. No wash cloths. Very disappointing stay. Especially for 81$. Never again.

AVOID AT ALL COST

Didn’t stay. Entered room to find dead bugs (bedbugs also) everywhere, stained and unclean sheets (human liquid, will not elaborate) and a steel that made me sick. Made an additional 10 hr ride to New Orleans on top of an already 16 hr drive form Arizona just to get as far away from this location as humanly possible.

The bedroom I was given was dirty still no lie and especially them roaches running around like they were the guest. Anyways the tv were too small and poor choice of channels the bedroom

Extremely dirty

The room was old and extremely dirty. The bathroom was disgusting; I don’t think it had been cleaned in a very long time. We also saw roaches in the bathroom. We will never stay here again.

Cigarette burns in bedding, paint on bedding, deadbolt did not work, holes in ceiling from leaking, no hair dryer available. Had an iron but no ironing board. Towels had makeup stains, bathroom door had hole punched in it. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Dirty filthy room

The place was dirty full of roaches . The lock on the door didnt work. There was no weather stripping on the door. You could see daylight through the door. The furniture was beat up. The room stank. It was a scary place. Do not stay there. It isn't close to downtown San Antonio.

The gentleman in the front desk was amazing friendly and helpful he gets 5 stars . Now as far for house keeping very poorly bathroom was very nasty dirty you can tell it had not been mop or swept floor was vey sticky the door was all dirty as well . Housekeeper needs to get on the ball with the cleaning !

Worth the stay

Great staff with nice and clean rooms.

This hotel was a surprise gem. It is very well located in regards to Downtown San Antonio, just hop on 10 and you're there in less than 15 minutes. Yes its older and has a few blemishes, but the staff seems to really care for the place. The room was spacious, the bed comfy, and pillows plump. We will definitely stay here again next year when we come back for San Japan!

The door would not shut. So they put me in a smocking room. I felt like I was sleeping in a bar.

Bed bugs and leaking ceiling

Ceiling over shower about to collapse and leaking steady steam of water when upstairs restroom In use. Go to the office to notify the desk and another customer is there with a napkin full of bed bugs. Naturally we go back and check our bed and sure enough we are in the same situation. Immediately packed up, mind you it’s midnight, and Hotels.com was able to find us a more suitable stay for the evening. Took videos and photos just not what one would expect from a Wyndham location.

Filthiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in my 45 years

I opened the door first thing I see is a cockroach on the wall. Restroom had lots of hair in the tub and on the floor. It was late at night, I had a long day so I wasn’t going to pay for another hotel. When I pulled covers from bed, more hair and another cockroach. NEVER again will I stay at a Super 8. The night stand was covered with crumbs and dust. It’s by far the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed.

One night stay

The staff was nice. However we had to change rooms twice due to bathroom issues and smell issues. The staff was very nice and helpful

They had to change our room about 5 times because they didn't know what rooms where under construction and what rooms had mold. The breakfast that was included was super limited. Would not recommend.

Not what i was expecting

Well first the room smelled smokey for a non smoking room...the toilet was not attached to the floor so it moved when ever u sat on it plus we killed 2 small roaches by the bathroom

Light switch was taped over so you walked into a dark room. Sheets on bed had holes all through it. Broken furniture. Carpets dirty. Torn carpet. Hair in shower. Shower cap hanging in bathroom I assume was from last guest. A drawer full of someone else’s clothes. Smoke alarm missing, just wires dangling from ceiling. House keeper not come when we left that morning but put a do not disturb sign on door that was not there when we left. Has to wait an hour for clean towels.

People smoking in non smoking rooms. Dirty carpet. Alot of things needed maintenance. Breakfast food was ok.

I reserved a no smoking and the room reaped if smoke. People that were cutting lawn made me very uncomfortable. Also Saturday night there was an argument with right outside our window between guest and staff. Very loud and scary.

Nothing I came in very late and left very early I look a bunch of pictures of filthy couch, dusty furniture and roches. It was very late and I just wanted to get out of there, but it was late. So I stayed, I was by myself and scared to roam a new city. Also there is smoke burns or bedding and the whole room smelled of smoke. Room number 103
