Heronissos stay

This is little suites based hotel with few swimming pools, all inclusive food and drinks and free shuttle ti the beach. Room was spacious with big balcony and sea view. Predominantly, most of the guests were from French speaking countries and there was animation team, but french speaking.

Good break

I e read lots of bad reviews about it but I decided to give a try. Food is good lots of veggies and meats, something for everyone, Appartament very clean, 3 pools one situated half way going towards the beach. Very good customer service, speak to Julia and she will sort everything out. Down side: toilet seats across all resorts need a bit of fixing same as toilet flash systems. Too much French music by the big pool. Overall very good.

The hotel is tired,the beds are a small double, the bed linen and bath linen is old and small.very basic rooms. Can't fault the staff, from the manager to the girls and the chef they really make the hotel. I didn't like the hotel but the staff is so fantastic that I would go back. There is something about it that makes you feel comfortable and welcome.

Excellent hotel, family holiday

Wonderful stay at sunshine village, really can't find fault with this hotel. Stayed with our 3 children, 14,11+11, apartment was basic but clean + comfy also very large rooms + beds made every day. Food + staff excellent, hotel in a good spot short walk to beach + shops ( hill to climb on way back) Would definatly recommend this hotel, lovely people + just perfect for a relaxing holiday, we will return soon.

The service was very law and the the hotel worker not kind to people. Don't go to this hotel it's traw money to air without get any thing for what you pay!!!!

Left without moving in

Booked an AI 8-day vacation for a family of 5 (12m, 15f, 22m, 22m, 49f). Arrived 06/21 early morning. Waiting for the room we had breakfast. We all liked food but dishes were dirty. Soon our room was ready. At this time reception staff was really nice. The real shock was when we saw the rooms. It is like summer camps in the 1970's. But its a 4-star hotel... or said to be. Based on photos you would never guess what you get. An apartment where hall is the kitchenette at the same time plus a very worn & torn dirty bathroom. No wardrobe, only 2 really small shelves. Beds done for 3. They apologized & brought us 2 other sets of linen. We looked around dumb of shock. Immediately wanted to check net to find another hotel. You needed a code for the wifi. You have to pay for it in the rooms. So went back to lobby, checked opportunities, taxied there,booked, taxied back. I told the receptionists we move out they started to blame me saying I should have asked for a wardrobe or put our clothes in the kitchenette (!!!), and anyway we came 5 though we booked only for 3. Showed me a paper to prove this - saying "3 adults, 2 children" - simply missed to read it. I paid the total vacation in advance so they gain full price for serving one breakfast. Before booking I read all traveler reviews and have to admit its my fault not to listen to warnings not to come here. Staying in downtown, having chats with Greek llocals (all really nice) very interesting they all know whats going on there.

Don't rely on the brand Best Western

We only stayed for two nights and did not have high expectations for the price we paid. However it was worse. Our room was located in the basement had windows and a balcony but all facing the wall. The bathroom had mold. We asked for another room but apparently they were fully booked.

Best thing that happened to us in Crete

Stayed for 4 nights - it was the best thing that could have happened to us in Chersonissos, Crete. The rooms are spacy, with fantastic natural light coming in. The varanda was a treat. Public areas are well cleaned and taken care off. Plants are mostly smell giving, such as Jasmine, Lime trees and so on. The pool is clean. Towels are replaces daily, rooms are cleaned daily, meals were great. My friend is a vegiterian and always gets stuck at hotel dining rooms - not in this case, all meals had a wide varaity and food was tasty. Pool bar and lobby bar were great. Reception staff were helpful. Well, all the staff were fantastic. Rooms have a key locked safe, air-conditioner, bath-shower, kitchenette that has no use but it's good to have a refrigerator in the room. Place is suitable for families with kids. It's not a luxury hotel, but rather a good, fine, well mantained hotel. Hotel is out of town, but operates a free of charge shuttle service. Nearby are 3 small local villages - it's worth taking a walk. We highly recommend the Best Western Sunshine Village. Hope to be back again.

great hotel for the family

fantastic stay, enjoyed everything apart from the steep hill if you are wanting to go down to the beach or town, however a short walk up the other way takes you to other supermarkets and old town which is by far better than the touristy parts! Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday there!!

real hospitality

although the hotel is situated on top of small hill but for me it was a nice sport to do the few minutes walk. I see it as a perfect location for holiday in Crete . it is with nice views on the Mediterranean , a walking distance from the water park with it's many activities (not too many rides and small beach, more suitable for young people) and it's close to the town with its many restaurants, cafes and shops besides availability of car rentals so you will have the nice feeling of being in the country (especially with the small villages 10 minutes away) without being far from urban life and beaches the all inclusive option is quite and experience with the generosity and richness in option, the pool is nice with amazing views and the nights on the terrace are unforgettable. my recommendation is to rent a small car for about 30 euros a day and travel around the island a little and have breaks after everyday you go on long exploration trip, spend it at the hotel and there are many near by attractions or half day trips so you can have at least breakfast and dinnner at the hotel and try one of the many restaurant and cafes around the island while travelling the apartments has small kitchenettes and small terraces .. the kind manager told me about plans of expansion and adding more entertainment and activities to the hotel. In Brief; I really enjoyed my stay at Sunshine Village

Die Auswahl des Essens war nicht riesig, aber immer sehr schmackhaft. Die Animation nicht gerade für mich begeisternd und nur in französischer Sprache. Ich wollte nur Erholung, das war so in Ordnung, aber für Kinder und Jugendliche eher sehr langweilig.Eine Kritik die mich sehr störte, es hat kein einziger Schrank, ich hatte sogar das Vergnügen in einem Dreibetten Zimmer zu logieren. Ich frage mich wie das 3 Personen schaffen ohne Schrank in diesem Zimmer.

The hotel was not a 4 star Hotel. Incomprehensible they have 4 star. I dont no where to start - it was a shabby hotel. The breakfast was so terrible - we bought it elsewhere. We got drinks in colored plastik cups - intended for children. The drinks tastet not good. We got other rooms - because there was so high music every night. There was so loud music at the pool every day - feels like it was a party hotel. Total misleading pictures and discriptions of the Hotel. The guides at the Hotel only speak French.

Nice hotel! Breakfast included with many options (bufet)

Très sale, gros problème d hygiène. L eau de la piscine qui a tournée, terrasse de la piscine jamais nettoyée en 15 jours sur place. Draps de lit jamais changés. Ils ont perdu 1 étoile l hors de notre séjour.

Not a 4 star hotel

Nice hotel, but the pictures on website of hotel looks a lot better than realitty. In my opinion not a 4 star hotel but 3 star. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Good location with walking distance to beach. The hotel area could really need a cleaning hand. Some areas looked really tired and not well maintained. Maybe because of Covid19?? 3 pool areas but the one for small children was not cleaned at att during our stay and there were small rocks and dirt on the ground so our kid hurt them self when walking around the pool area. Asuggestion for improvement is tobadd toilet facilities and small bar or similar the kids pool ares so you don't have to walk 5minutes to nearest toilet and bar. We had all inclusive in our stay and i'm a bit dissapoikted about selection of food made available, especially for the kids. For breakfast there was very little selection of bread available, not even toast bread. For lunch/dinner there where spaghetti bolognese and fish every and a small variety of greek food, but I would consider all meals more or less the same for all days. Some days with fries and maybe even burgers would have been nice. Our kids could not understand why there was no french fries, and I don't think I have ever sgayed in a hotel who did not serve this at all. An old VW shuttle bus took you from one end of hotel to the other end in 2 minutes and worked fine, but driver goes really fast greek style 😉

Freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal. Leider ist im Hotel ein französischer Club angesiedelt. Somit sind viele Franzosen dort und die täglich mehrmals statt findenden Animationen sind leider großteils nur für Leute die über den Club gebucht haben. Man wird standardmäßig französisch vom Personal gegrüßt. Sehr gutes Essen, die Zimmer sind groß. Die Gläser waren nicht immer sauber. Der Minigolfplatz und der Volleyballplatz war leider verwahrlost. Der Ausblick ist traumhaft schön. Basketball, Tennis, Squash, Bogenschießen, Dart war alles möglich. Nachts hört man bei geöffnetem Fenster die laute Musik von den umliegenden Nachbarhotels. Da ist jede Nacht in einem anderem Hotel was Los. Im großen und ganzen würde ich das Hotel weiter empfehlen, da wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben und das Personal sehr freundlich ist, essen war auch lecker und die Hauptmahlzeiten frisch gekocht. Tut mir leid das zu schreiben, aber ich persönlich würde aufgrund der Zielgruppe (Franzosen) dann doch lieber ein Hotel mit Animationen in einer für mich verständlichen Sprache aussuchen und bei dem Animationen für jeden Hotelgast sind und nicht nur für jene, die über einen externen französischen Club gebucht haben.

Das Hotel ist absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist extrem unfreundlich und inkompetent. Keine Handtücher für Liege am Pool. Die Handtücher in Zimmer werden alle zwei Tage ausgetauscht So dass man selber welche kaufen müsste. Das Essen war eine Katastrophe, bei den Restorants hat sich das rum gesprochen in der Umgebung so das die sich gefreut haben das wir außerhalb des Hotels gegessen haben ob wohl wir voll Pension hatten. Nie wieder

Super lækkert hotel.

Vi var 2 voksne og 3 børn og vi havde en fantastisk uge på sunshine village. Personalet var venlige og serviceminded. Maden i restauranten var virkelig god og varieret. Klart bedre end vi havde forventet. Lækkert værelse med en uovertruffen udsigt over vandet. Eneste lille minus: ligger 600-700 meter fra stranden, hvor hotellet dog har shuttle service til. Ligger ca 1 km fra hyggelig græsk landsby med små gader, hyggelige butikker og lækre restauranter.

2 ** hotell

Hotellet är inte mer än **. Det fanns ingenting som glas, bestick, mikro eller minst en vatten kokare. Frukosten var inte för en 4**** hotell. De hade inte bad handduk varken till hyra eller låna. Det står free WiFi men den funkar bara i receptionen och väldigt dåligt Bokat ny hotell med 3 *** var mycket bättre med allt

Dejlig ferie

Vi er lige kommet hjem fra 12 dags ferie på Best western sunshine, og vi har været glade for opholdet. Maden, pool samt servicen er i top. Værelserne er store men ikke top moderne. Der er desuden kun aircon i soveværelset. Men alt i alt stor værdi for pengene, og kan anbefales til familier.

Godt hotel, fin All inclusive til en fornuftig pris. God service og personale altid i færd med at fjerne brugt service og andet efter gæsterne. God mulighed for afslapning såvel som aktiviteter, arrangeret af hotellets hertil hyrede person. Fin beliggenhed, på trods af, at hotellet ligger oppe ad en stejl bakke. Bus kørsel nogle gange i løbet af dagen, hvis man ønsker det. Men en god udsigt findes fra hotellet samtidig med en svalende brise ude fra vandet. Gode store værelser med lyse farver. Senge udemærkede. Aircon. dog kun i soveværelse, så vi måtte alle rykke ind i dette, da det ellers blev for varmt. Obs på der er myg om aftenen, så husk spray eller undgå åbne døre i værelse med lys tændt.

gutes Hotel für einfache Ansprüche

Mit dem "Best Western" Image hätte ich einen anderen Hotelstandard erwartet. Allerdings fehlen mir Vergleiche in Griechenland bzw. Kreta. Wir hatten aufgrund des geringen Preisunterschieds All Incl. gebucht aber nicht immer in Anspruch genommen. Um so mehr nervt es wenn man abends um kurz vor 10 Uhr ins Hotel kommt und keine Gläser mehr bekommt um noch ein Bier zu zapfen. Sicherlich verständlich wenn man Tische voller gebunkerter Getränke sieht aber das kenne ich auch anders. Da hilft auch noch so freundliches Personal nicht weiter. Also besser selber den Kühlschrank füllen. Der ist nämlich leer (Supermarkt ist nicht weit) oder wie alle ordentlich en Touristen pünktlich an der Bar erscheinen.

zeer mooi gelegen hotel,rustig zeer netjes schoonmaak zeer goed,personeel prettig in omgang voor de rest niks dan goed.

Glücksgriff

Wir haben für einen solch günstigen Übernachtungspreis nicht viel vom Hotelessen erwartet, waren daher sehr positiv von dessen Qualität und auch der Auswahl überrascht. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Der Pool und der Poolbereich werden täglich gereinigt und aufgeräumt. Und der Ausblick von der Barterrasse ist einfach traumhaft! Die Lage ist recht ruhig, abseits vom Touristentrubel. Man kann zu Fuss zum Strand laufen (würde ich aber nicht immer machen wollen), es gibt auch dreimal am Tag einen kostenlosen Shuttle vom Hotel, der Touristenbummelzug fährt ebenfalls am Hotel vorbei, oder man mietet sich ein Auto. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Das Team war nett, aber leider war das Hotel doch ein wenig vom Strand entfernt. Viele schreiende Kinder. Insgesamt ok, aber eher mittelmäßig.

Godt familiehotel, god swimmingpool

Godt middelklasse-hotel med det man kan forvente ift prisen. Personalet yder alle en god service. Desværre er det lidt støj fra de omkringliggende hoteller/resorts som kræver at man ikke kan sove med åbne vinduer hvis man er lidt sart overfor støj

Hyggelig hotell, men dessverre veldig lav standar.

Fornøyd med de ansatte, som ga god service. Beliggenheten var langt unna sentrum og strand, men det lå litt oppe på en ås så det var jevn god bris. Bassenget og solsenger var bra, rommet helt greit, men ingen glass, kopper, tallerker el noe annet til bruk det. De skiftet ikke sengetøy hele uken, bare ristet de og redde opp på nytt, men nye håndklær hvis vi kastet de gamle foran døren. Maten var en grusom opplevelse i seg selv! Uff, kan absolutt ikke anbefales, da det var forferdelig!

Hotels.com kartan missvisande!

Vi valde hotellet för att det skulle ligga nära ett annat hotell. Kartbilden som visades när man sökte på hotellet var totalt missvisande, ca 4 km fel. Vi behövde hyrbil för att ta oss dit vi behövde vara dagligen. Det är nödvändigt att ni ser över hur kartvisningen fungerar med det här hotellet. Hotellet annars bra, vi hade all inclusive och maten var bra och varierande. Personalen trevlig. Städningen av rummet bra, däremot verkade man använda gamla sura trasor till att städa i restaurangen för den lukten kunde man känna om man kom tidigt till frukosten. För den som vill ner till stan men inte bo i den var det ett acceptabelt gångavstånd. Bra pool, vacker miljö och fin utsikt.

Le camere sono spartane e vengono pulite a giorni alterni, con la stessa frequenza vengono cambiati gli asciugamani. dei tre pasti quotidiani, solo la colazione (internazionale) merita un giudizio positivo, per quanto riguarda pranzo e cena: ripetitivi, insipidi e sbrigativi..

value for money

Man får meget for pengene, personalet var yderst venlige og imødekommende. Poolen var rigtig god, samt maden var tilfredsstillende. der var ikke service i køkkenet, som godt kunne ønskes, kogekande, kopper, bestik etc... Der var lidt larm fra nabohotellet, som var generende. Udsigten fra hotellet var super flot. Vejen op til hotellet var meget stejl, 600 m. til hovedvejen, ikke noget problem men en lille gåtur...

Bra valuta för pengarna!

Vi fick mycket bra service på hotellet. Maten var god och du kunde få lunch paket med om du inte var hemma på lunchen utan var tex på stranden. Positivt var också att hotellet hade "lekledare" som höll i olika aktiviteter. En kväll var det en kvällspromenad till en närliggande bergsby som var mycket trevlig! Det enda som vi har att anmärka på var sängarna. De var riktigt hårda och bedrövliga.

Hotel Sunshine posizione strategica per l' alta stagione

L' Hotel non è male anche se non è precisamente quello che viene presentato. Il tutto compreso lo trasforma in una sorta di villaggio dove il cliente in modo autonomo puo' prendersi da bere quando vuole e ai pasti si gestisce da solo il self service. Sicuramente in questa stagione dove l' affluenza è minima la cosa puo' essere addirittura un vantaggio ma credo che in alta stagione potrebbe diventare un grosso problema se non supportato dal personale dell' hotel. Sicuramente per l' alta stagione è posizionato bene perchè è vicino alla citta' ma lontano dalla confusione della citta' stessa.

i complesso è fatto bene,ma deve migliorare nella pulizia e manutenzione,ma sicuramente nella cucina.servirebbe un direttore che controlli il tutto.

bon hotel sur les hauteurs de la ville ce qui permet d'aller dans la zone touristique au bord de mer ou de se rendre au charmant vieux village l'accès n'est pas facil - route avec une forte côte 3 navettes/jour qui nous descend le chauffeur sympathique les buffets repas sont petits mais variés et globalement bon sur une semaine - dommage que les plages horraires soient si courte!! les jus de fruits, vins et café gratuit sont très limite mais la bière les sodas et thé sont correct. chambre, piscine et transat propre. personnel agréable.

Sunshine Village Hotel

Tout d'abord un grand merci à deux employés en particulier dans l'hôtel: - Maria (accueil) et Yannis (Barman du soir et serveur) pour leur grande gentillesse et leur professionnalisme. En revanche, cuisine pas bonne du tout. Beaucoup trop gras, résultat, j'ai du manger quasiment tous les jours à l'extèrieur, dommage pour du All Inclusive. Le petit déjeuner était le seul qui était attractif, le problème c'est que tout était encore une fois trop gras et les fruits frais n'étaient pas bons. Aucun goût, aucun sucre, aucun jus. La literie maintenant!! Quand on part en vacances, qu'on se dépense beaucoup, entre le soleil, la plage et les sorties, le minimum est d'avoir un lit confortable. Le matelas est de très mauvais qualité. Les ressorts étaient tellement saillants, que j'ai eu mal au dos tout le séjour.

buona posizione dell'hotel perchè anche se un pò spostata dal centro di hersonissos che può essere raggiunto facilmete sia in taxi che in auto o bus ti permette però al rientro la mattina da una notte sfrenata nel centro di ersonissosdi dormire tranquilla. Personale dell'hotel disponibilissimo, gentile e che parla e capisce bene l'italiano. Forse un pò di pecca è nella pulizia delle camere che però sono piccoli appartamenti molto spaziosi e ben costruiti .Nel complesso però consiglio questo hotel per una buona vacanza ad hersonissos .
