The noise was so loud at nights!! The sheets & the towel all had stain and looked like they had mold on the pillow!!! I woke up in the middle of the night with the lizard in our bed, once I mentioned it to the staff they said due to jungle environment they are normal and harmless but I did not wanna see a lizard in our room and specifically in the bed! Do not stay at this hotel and the pictures that are displayed at website definitely doesn’t match the property!

very clean. beautiful views. quiet as it’s set further away down tulum party beach zone. free beach access through ether but minimum $30 usd min spend to use beds/pool etc. didn’t use these and chose to seek out more lively beach clubs.

I am so pleased to say that I enjoyed my stay in this hotel it was exactly what I was looking for as a solo traveler. I feel safe and the good thing is the everything is near by. I want to thank you Nicolas for his hospitality and services. I will definitely recommend this place to someone.

Dante was a wonderful host for our 8 day stay at Sunset Tulum. The area is surrounded by super cute shopping with a wonderful breakfast spot across the street. The beach across the street was beautiful, with easy access. The hotel was tucked away in the lush jungle with guarded security, so we felt very safe and taken care of there. The attached restaurant, Loco, was some of the best food we had with great atmosphere. We also enjoyed utilizing the rooftop cooking space with the beautiful sunset view. Thank you for the amazing vacation!

Unbeatable location combined with quiet nice property.

Very nice ambiance of being in the jungle. Check in was different in that i hadnt realized i had to pay at the property after booking on Expedia. Recommend trying to arrive before 4pm due to horrendous traffic on beach road in evening. This hotel isnt on the beach, but has an agreement with one across the road to allow its guests to use their beach, i guess. They gave me a pass after i asked for one, but didnt offer it until i asked.

I loved my brief stay at Sunset Tulum. I would definitely return. Dante was great and the beach club he recommended was across the street.

In the Tropical jungle by the Beach, with Vegan cafe’s, Yoga & Bikini’s…..

Nice place. No power for 5 hours a day.

This is a good spot for the price. It's obviously not on the beach, hence the lower price. But it is set up quite well.

Great location. Great Staff. If you are looking for an affordable option to stay in the heart of Tulum beach near the restaurants and bars this is the best option! with a great staff, a nice pool, and a rooftop.

It’s a beautiful place to be in tuned with your inner peace, I will deff come back and the restaurant loco it’s was worth it and fun... I had the tuna dinner plate to die for. thank you Dante for responding quickly for everything.

Nice simple place, bright and big room, hammock. Good location. Only problem is that due to it being an eco place, air con is only on 7pm - 7am, and the electricity and hot water frequently cut out.

I loved Sunset Tulum. It wasn’t pricey and did the job, the views were beautiful especially the sunset and night stars on the rooftop. One thing to keep in mind is that the AC is on from 6:30 pm to 6am and after that it shuts off which didn’t bother me because we wanted to be up early to enjoy all of tulum. After long, fun, yet tiring days we always looked forward to going back and going to bed. It isn’t right on the beach but it’s a 5 minute walk which isn’t bad at all. I know some reviews say there was construction but that must’ve been years ago cause there was none going on during my time there (feb 2020) Dante was also very nice and helpful! Great place to stay.

The staff were very helpful and friendly! The room was huge with a big terrace and view on the jungle! The rooftop has a great view! The breakfast location Loco was lovely and the staff very friendly! The location was great and close to everything

Room was clean and spacious. Dante was super helpful with restaurant and bar recommendations and was very friendly. The beach is a 4 min walk away through the sister hotel which has sun beds you can use for free all day- would definitely stay again!!

Hidden gem!

Sunset Tulum was absolutely fantastic! It was nice to be tucked away from the main road and just a short walk from the hustle of the busiest areas. The beach access you get from their partner hotel is great and very relaxed. The bed was extremely comfy and room service kept everything so clean and tidy for us. Also the view of sunset over the jungle from the roof is outstanding!
