Beautiful property, amazing grounds and beach. Food was basic and staff are slow and no attention to details (missing towels, stocked minibar, missing cutlery etc).

So far as the hotel is concerned I do not have a single complaint about. The rooms and public areas were clean and well tended, the gardens are a delight. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and bent over backwards to provide excellent service. A special shout out to Romel in Yades - though there were many others whose names I did not get; he served us every breakfast and lunch. We also had massages in the Spa which were excellent. The only area of concern was in respect of the beauty salon, we were offered and accepted on my part 2 x facials and 2 x manicure my partner also had a 2 x pedicure. He was reasonably happy with his pedicure, but the manicure and facial fell well short of what I would expect. Facial - no cleanse at start just 3 consecutive masks; each wiped off which a damp sponge not properly cleansed and lastly a lick of moisturiser whole time 23 minutes- usual time one hour, Manicure no finger soak no hand massage, poor filing of the nails used a sawing motions when it should be one way rough and hurried treatment of cuticle, but worst of all the clippers etc were not sterilised between customers. Total time 17 minutes usual time one hour. As the deal included two I went back to see if that had been a bad day - but know just even quicker and new clear nail polish was applied over old instead of removing it. I doubt any of the staff are professionally trained.

An excellent and memorable holiday. The hotel was great and the staff were exceptionally attentive and accommodating. We had access to the posh club which has a 24 hour butler.

Listen, this resort is amazing!!! We were sooo impressed with everything. The food options and the quality of the food is phenomenal and there is always something you will find to enjoy. The only thing we weren’t crazy about was the far walk from our room. Which was completely our fault because we chose sea side view and it was an AMAZING view but it was so far from the lobby and restaurant etc but apart from that, the experience here was perfect. We will definitely come back soon. Thanks for an unforgettable experience!

We stayed for 10 days in one of their Junior suites, and while we had a great time, I'm not sure I would rate Crystal Bay as a 5 star hotel. It is however definitely a very good 4 . The hotel has a very large footprint so if you're situated down near the lagoon (as we were) then it can be a bit of a hike to get to the main part of the hotel. The flip side of this is though that the hotel doesn't feel crowded and getting things like loungers or a drink is no problem at all. There is genuinely nothing majorly negative I can say about this hotel, the staff are amazing (shout out to Sameh at the Oasis beach bar), the grounds are immaculate, and the food in the a la carte restaurants is fantastic (Try the Kashmiri Lamb Rogan Josh at Manohar!!!). If I had to mark it down it would be based on the consistency between bars/restaurants i.e. a coffee or drink in one bar can be quite different to the next bar. Also, the people trying to sell you spa or beauty treatments while you are just lying by the beach is quite annoying (we had 4 approaches on our first morning), although we did discover you can grab a red flag from the towel station to combat this.

The place is impressive. The best resort I have ever visited. Very clean, with many choices in food and drinks. What makes this place special is its people, a big thank you for the perfect hospitality to Mado, Jimmy, Cooper and Crush from animation team also Aziz from Housekeeping management team. Of course I'll be back next year.

Great hotel, staff was amazing they went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Food was so delicious and so many varieties. Zachariah the assistant front desk manager provided a great customer service, the chef on the grill station, the housekeeping manager,Adam in the restaurant and the beach team were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and we will be back again.

Definitely a good hotel for families

The hotel was nice - rooms were basic but the amenities were good. I liked the variety of food available which always tasted fresh. Sometimes felt the food was similar between restaurants. The kids areas need more work and more things available as the play area is outdoors and very basic and some of the events are in the evening when kids are asleep.

Friendly staff. All inclusive food is great, big rooms very clean. Pretty environment nice pool area nice beach (with saftey net to prevent bigger fish and jelly fish to enter the lagoon.) nice shisha bar (not all inclusive but very worth the money!) souvenir shop. childfriendly animators. it was my second stay at this hotel and i recommend highly.

Everything was amazing

Only one resturant had great food Mangal with chief Mohamad was amazing. All other resturants did not have great food. Front manager Shareef and staff were very nice.

I would not recommend this place due to the behavior of staff at checkout. I had accidentally left one pool towel at the pool and did not have the pool card to return. The check out staff did not believe my account and charged me 15$ for a pool towel. It was just a horrible experience.

If you are looking to spend the best time in Hurghada, Sunrise Crystal Bay is the place to go. Food is great, lots of options that would suit every palate. We were a family of 11 people and we always had something to do. kids friendly activities were great. I would like to specifically mention the amazing care and support of Ahmed Youness who accommodated my requests during our 6 days stay. Mr Ali and Ashraf from Guest relations have the best attitude and conflict resolution skills with very happy manners.

Just returned from SUNRISE Crystal Bay Resort and it was absolutely amazing. We had a suite with the ocean view, which was spectacular, especially in the morning and evening. The rooms were spacious with enough storage. Room was cleaned daily and our housekeeper was great. We were based closed to the beach and made friends with the lifeguard Mouhmoud, who would always stop for a chat and help us with the towles and sunbeds. I am quite an active person, so was going to the gym every day. Special thanks to the attendant there, who was always helpful with the advice about how to use the equipment. Upon arrival I had a spa treatment consisting of a hamam, following two massage sessions afterwards and that's just out of this world. Special thanks to receptionist there Elena and Mona, who I had the massages with. Out of five restaurants you could have meal in the evening, Mangal was our favourite, where the selection of meat was grilled to perfection. And finally big big thank you to Ahmed El Souady, who was our waiter at the main restaurant, quick as a wind with our drinks, sometimes getting them even before we ask and always friendly, attentive and smiley.

This resort went above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and at home! My husband and I were there for NYE 2021 ringing in 2022. The New Year’s Eve Gala was truly unreal with the food, decorations and entertainment. It will be a night no one there will ever forget! I would definitely recommend this resort and would love to return!

Very good hotel and great service

Staff was very lazy to severe us and ,i waited for 20 minutes for one carry my bags to reception to make check out but he didn't

The activities

The Hotel is not suitable for Old people or people with infants, long walking distance from the beach to the room or to the main restaurant, and they only have 2 golf carts for the whole resort which means you can wait alot to move from place to another if you can't walk. Also if you want to do snorkeling its not the suitable place, all the sea activities from another hotel with so l9ng walking distance. The stuff in the restaurant attitude is not nice except Mrs. Hasnaa the only one working so hard. Also the front desk team and reception team are wonderful . Also Special Thanks To Mr. Zakaria, the front desj manager who helped alot to improve our experience in this Hotel.

Hotel is comfortable clean dining in the restaurants is excellent but the main one need improvment, minibar in the room contains no beer and soft drink need to be replanished, food ok limted selection no barbecue pastery is modest although bread is excellent service in the bars is ok different cocktails, smiley faces ,entertenement in the afternoon is limited, free sauna overall we did enjoy our stay

I had a very pleasant accomodations in Sunrise Crystal hotel during the period 16 till 22 may 2021. I can tell that every single detail about the hotel was perfect . Starting woth the staff who is very helpful and efficient, they know how to handle the guests and resolve their complains. The hotel is very spacious with nice landscape. Food quality is very variable, nice and delicious, the hotel has various cuisine from different region. Indian restaurant supervised by indian chief, Greek restaurant with a very delicious paltes, mediterranean restaurant and the oriental one. Animation team is very active they do have entertainment programs all the time and different type of shows Brazilian one was nice , Ukrainian show ending with the belly dance and Egyptian show. The front beach is clean and beautiful. Special thanks for all management and staff who worked on making this hotel a success story. I recognized the meaning of how to pamper the client. Great 5 day stay. Henry from the entertainment team was nice. Good service but more servers needed in the buffet.

The resort reminded me of all inclusive resorts in DR. The staff were very friendly, but the food in the buffet was not good at all. I was also disappointed they didn’t offer us complimentary transportation from the airport. The hotel was great for what it was. They had so many activities and the location was perfect, I think we were just looking for something slightly more intimate. But overall the experience was great!

Sunrise Crystal bay .. An Amazing resort

It was really an exceptional vacation. The hotel has a very beautiful beach. It also has an access to a very good Aquapark. The animation team was very active. I think I can go to this destination again. The only drawback is that the light of the football playground was always off.

like our second home, we adore this hotel the different restaurants it has to offer and the quality on offer makes it a special place, the atmosphere is so relaxed and friendly staff cannot do enough for you, my wife has a food allergy which is always a worry but chef hamada catered to her and ensured she had no worries at all. we travel independently without using a rep or tour company and during the current crisis this hotel has been amazing with all of its guests and staff, which is why as soon as it is safe to do so we will rebook, we have looked around a number of other hotels but crystal bay is our no 1 in hurghada

Lovely place !

We really enjoyed the spacious hotel, lovely places to eat and very beautifully kept it all was. Staff very friendly in all areas, and it really was a home from home ! Food was very good, and plenty to choose from. One small issue we had was that my wife wanted a spa treatment. She found that there were only male staff, and she really wanted a female for a manicure and pedicure. The male staff tried to sell her treatments he didn't want, and put her off completely.

Very nice hotel for families

We had 2 junior suites for a family of 5 but it would have been very comfortable for 8 . We had an elderly guest in our group and the staff made sure he was comfortable in all ways.The rooms were very sapcious and clean. Views and access to beach was very convinient. House keeping staff especially Mohamed with a smilling face made sure we were taken care of all the time. Hotel has a very nice vibe and lots to do, you dont get bored . Evening entertainment was very good especially chritsmad eve . With all inclusive you have a choice to enjoy different cuisines at their other restuarants. The place didnt seem crowded though it was fully booked. Over all the place exceeded my expectations and we enjoyed our stay would come back definitely . Thank you

The hotel was amazing. They had a big garden/pool area, plus beach front to the Red Sea. The most impressive thing was how well I was treated. From check in they catered to us. I never felt more welcomed then this hotel. If there’s one down side is that it was a huge property but honestly the staff still made you feel like the most important gust.

Excellent variety of food, close to mall and around 20 min taxi ride away from sheraton road and Dubai Marina, Aquarium is 2 miles away on the same stretch of road and sand city is pretty much opposite. Great location, excellent staff, well kept grounds and excellent animation team. Apart from this we had an issue with the TV and a faulty cot and felt that the hotel team were not proactive however once I complained about this to the guest relations team the hotel management ensured everything was taken care off promptly and a free upgrade was offered for our last few days stay there as an apology. All in all recommend this hotel and Hurghada as a destination, excellent hospitality from all Egyptian staff

Everything was perfect I had a,great time just the staff working in the resturant was so load talking to each other

Facilities are really good, including the gym, the private beach cabana and swimming pools were all really good. Breakfast buffet was really nice as was the egyptian restaurant for dinner (which you need to book the night before). The snack bar had quite large meals including pizza, pasta, burgers etc.

4 days stay in August 19

We spent 3 nights -me, my wife and my baby (8 month)- it was all good except that 2nd floor which has a better view than ground isn’t prepared for baby car or wheel chairs while all roads were prepared including the beach, food was good, most of staff were friendly and helpful, animation wasn’t that great, we missed having aqua on the place while there was another plenty of free games around but mostly requires certain times to play, but overall we enjoyed the experience, it’s good value but i think it could be better.

The two bedroom Jacuzzi suite was wonderful. It was spacious nicely decorated and had two well-equipped bathrooms. It also came with its own beach cabana and open and Jacuzzi on the top level. And allowed access to the private beach area with a bar and snack service included. The buffet restaurant was fine and the à la cart restaurants are also good.

The Staff in Sunrise Crystal are absolutely amazing starting from the checkin experience and the clean rooms and for sure the fact that whatever u request gets done in no time , my only concern with the property is that it need to renewed ( furniture, pools and kids area, etc..) however overall a great experience

• Private Bar – slippery and one of our party fell due to floor wet from the grass being watered – this is dangerous and can cause injury to staff and guests • Quality of drinks – poor and very slow service in most area • Areas around private pool in need of repair, dangerous wooden blocks move and are uneven • Cleaning in room poor – had to ask for fridges to be restocked on each occasion even on arrival, minimal cleaning done daily, • Bed linen – major deterioration on quality/standard – sheets and pillowcases very worn and in need of replacement • Lack of comfortable outside seating in main bar area • Entertainment – worst ever. Cancelled shows due to Football being shown in theatre – appalling given you have a Sports Bar etc. Mr Hotel, Bingo, Karaoke – really is this entertainment for a 5* resort – • Buffet restaurant staff overall not welcoming, poor service and taking plates before finished

The Animation team was amazing specially in the morning and afternoon The staff was very nice too like ahmed yassin the receptionist and Henry he was active and got very good sense of humor and the other nigerian girls and also the tunisian guy those are the best stuff i deal with

Amazing resort!

Excellent resort and would definitely stay again. Especially the fact that you can use facilities of other hotels under the 'sunrise' banner which are next door.

The jacuzzi suite was exceptional, the whole hotel was in a good condition and very clean and the food was good. What made this hotel so special was the people working there: Sayed and Ali from house keeping went above and beyond to make the stay great by making sure we always had enough water and by decorating the beds every day. Booking a suite is worth it just for the access to the royal club on its own. Marmour from the royal club was always friendly and very helpful. The entertainment team were very welcoming and the shows were amazing. Especially Miso and Cheetos were very friendly!

High quality hotel with excellent facilities such as a choice of restaurants. Only thing that could with improvement is the Kids Club/Entertainment - otherwise a very good experience.

My stay at the hotel was really good. Everything went without a hitch. For me, a "plus" was the fact that sauna was free of charge. The only "bemol" concerning food, was that fish variety was very limited - mostly they served pangasus which should not be a 5-star hotel choice.

Hotel was good but will not be booking again due to sharp practice in selling extras by restaurant or hotel beach peddlers. Invasive and underhand.

Great for quiet and the mass consumer.

A very large and beautiful place. It's like a cruise ship on land. Food until you cannot eat and endless drinks, ok quality, but not great. If your looking for laying by a beautiful pool, condoning mass quantities of food and a very quiet night life, then it's great. Not my style, but I can see why people like it.

Was moved here as had been booked st the Aqua Magic, this was a fabulous turn of fate. We had one of the new refurbished rooms, lots of space and very comfortable. Food was great with much of it just cooked to order so not sitting around. Couldn’t fault the hotel or it’s staff.

Beautiful hotel and pools tho who's ever heard of a cold jacuzzi The food at the rainbow Restaurant was good and the waiter Ahmed new by the third day that the Canadiens wanted coffee first sayhad our house keeper also made us feal more comfortable for our stay Unfortunately it was also marred by the hotels.com manner of booking it wasn't clear what we were getting from the beginning it implied that are included dinner can be at multiple restaurants it was only for the one we didn't get the lunch included option because we didn't want to go to the same restaurant twice and we ended up anyways there was an option that would have included alcohol that we had no access to and the hotel did make a meeting with us so they got a menu at the bar with prices but still made us feel like second class patrons whenever we where in the pool bar area

Everything is great..friendly Stuff..clean place..nice beach..3 things need improvement..the dessert is very bad and its the same everyday no changes .. no fresh juces and if it's available it's outside the all inclusive option..and last thing they gave us 2 single beds instead of a king bed and Said that it's upon availability.but after a debate they changed it . The Best Christmas Ever, Welcome Home.

From start to finish the Hotel staff made this one of the best holidays that we have ever had. Each and every member of staff were very welcoming and friendly, and very attentive and hard working. The food was excellent always freshly cooked and always hot The Hotel is spotlessly clean and the Toilets always smelling fresh. The room we had was amazing always clean, plenty of drinks in the mini bar endless bottles of water.

2nd visit we love this place.

We went back to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary after our honeymoon here. The staff are all amazing and make you feel very special. The hotel is having a few renevations so one of the restaurants was closed which is shame so not as much choice but our favourite Panoroma was open as normal.

I stayed for about 4 nights, the place is nice. Little bit old furniture but quiet rooms. they have nice activities. and thier prices are little bit high in comparison to adjusent resorts.

Best hotel in hurghada

From the reception to the beach everything was super clean and sparkling. Plants and trees were well taken care of and hotel and garden staff were amazing in doing there job. When I wanted something I got it within 5 minutes. Food was great and inclusive with my room. What I loved about the hotel was it was quiet and calm, kind of like a retreat. Everything was flawless. Thank you for my receptionist Ahmed and the Reception manager Hany and ismail the maintainer. My room was 716 with my own pool.

Lovely hotel

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Was a lovely hotel staff were super friendly and so helpful. Really did everything to make it a perfect holiday for us. Big shout out to our friend sheikh mahrous from beach bar he was so helpful. Food was amazing especially at Panaroma restaurant. Our sea view room or should I say apartment was lovely with a private pool. Overall, everything was nice. The lobby could do with a but if refurb bit besides that it was a great and memorable holiday. Hopefully one day we shall go back:) thank you to all the staff there and Ahmed yusuf the manager for all you have done.

Overall, Not too Bad but Could Use Improvement

First of all the restaurant with the inclusive buffet was amazing! It is a beautiful property, but the rooms could be better. King or Queen size beds are NOT two double beds pushed together. I don't know if that was for all of the rooms, but certainly the three rooms that we had and the beds are very firm, albeit somewhat hard. I was going to get a haircut at the resort and they wanted the equivalent of $38 USD, whereas, in Cairo I ended up getting a haircut at the Ritz-Carlton for less than $10 USD. If we were going to stay here again, it would be for the restaurant and the pools/beach area.

Really nice hotel.. The only thing I would change would be the reception staff and food selection. I felt the reception staff to be quite distant and felt quite uncomfortable at times.. The food was very repetitive as a half boarder and not much to choose from when I compare it to other hotels I've sayed in Egypt. Was chased by a member of staff from reception after check out who insisted he cuts our half board tag in the middle of the lounge, felt embarrassed. Other than that had a good time.

Great public areas, but rooms are awful!

We booked a Honeymoon Room & they put us in a regular room with no view and old furniture! Honeymoon Rooms are more expensive, but they do not in fact have rooms designated for honeymooners at all. They just stick you in whatever is available and put red pillows on its bed. Beach is pretty cool with adult-only areas. Restaurant is super clean with really good food. Pool and gardens are nice and well-kept. Rooms are actually disgusting! Linens are not clean. When we asked for new pillows because the ones we had were not clean, we got two "fresh" ones with long-term stains on them! Everything is old & not clean. Bathroom items than we ran out of were not replaced. Dirty towels were also sometimes removed and not replaced! Housekeeping lags. We were really disappointed in our stay.

Wonderful resort. Our room was conveniently​ located bang in between the pool a d beach areas. Clean and tidy throughout the hotel and so great staff

excellent resort with private beach& several pools

Joyful stay at five stars resort with luxurious facilities . Staff are very proteins al, polite and friendly. Rooms are spacious, nicely furnished Andy well served. The price is way less than wha the facility deserves. Several swimming pools with animation , water polo and gymnastics teams are available, in addition to a private beach. All well maintained and hygienic . There is variety of food, breakfast buffet is one of the best and the restaurant is nicely designed with indoor, outdoor and children corner. In the evening there are many activities and options including life music , animation, karaoke , folklore ...etc. In a nutshell , the resort is an excellent choice for families, couples or solo travellleres. A place to recommend and to return back to for sure.

I loved it

I was greeted with a wet lemon and water towel and immediately treated with a sorbet. The bellboy picked uo my luggage and en route the room he explained the facility. I was given a hand band which meant that I could have brerakfast and dinner for free. This half board service was worth the price of the room I paid. The staff was marvelous and always wanted to help you. The room was spacious, clean and peaceful. It had a safe, fridge, coffee and tv etc. The best thing to shout about was the grounds. OMG! they were so well kept and artfully done. Swimming pools were of U. S. standards. I also liked the modern gym and free sauna. The hotel did not have a private beach but a had a lovely lagoon, where I was able to relax and drink beer. i was impressed and will stay again
