It was great overall
Great location. Right at the lifts…convenient ski storage. Cafes accessible from indoors. Excellent!
Superb
Rooms were nice and spacious but they were also quite noisy- you could hear everything outside, in the halls and in the rooms next door. Better insulated doors and windows could help with this. Would have been nice to have room turnover daily for new towels. Generally decent upkeep but gym room had some messy towels lying around when I used it.
Ski in ski out was great. Dated needs some remodeling, also needs a comfortable chair in the guest rooms.

Overall a great stay
Was a nice stay and had all the amenities that a family like ours needs. We’re happy we stayed here and would definitely come back.
We really liked the ski in/ski out convenience. We have stayed at this hotel in the past, and over the years, the common areas have deteriorated a bit more every year. The carpets in the hallways are dirty, and it’s only January! The carpets in the rooms have not been cleaned in ages either! We were also disappointed with the “hot plate” cooktop… I would not call this à kitchenette… it takes forever to heat up anything on a hot plate…the integrated two burner cooktop we had in the past was much more efficient. Our room faced the parking lot. At first we were bummed out not to have a mountain view, but it soon became an advantage as those rooms are much quieter. The front desk staff were fabulous! The location is the best! Tons of hot water… tubs just need to be upgraded… not deep enough to have a proper bath… Will likely stay there again for the convenience
Sundance Lodge is showing its age but still has a premium location in the village. Our room on the fourth floor was spacious with high ceilings and a gas fireplace. The beds were comfortable and clean with a kitchenette.
The staff were awesome, perfectly located but the rooms are def the original 90’s industrial grade ski resort type..The Grand had nicer newer rooms For-sure. These are prob privately owned and if they rent …they rent is my guess
Babo on the front desk is extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you!
Will stay again, some areas are worn out and seem ragged
It is part of a world class ski resort
Ski in and ski out fantastic
Had a nice two bed room with an amazing view from a lovely balcony. Hot tub was nice but less of a view from the hot tub. There was a convenient ski storage which made the ski-in ski-out simple.
Very old and worn out facility
Outstanding place to stay at Sun Peaks ski area. Expensive, but worth it!!
Loved the location and the ptoperty. Staff is friendly and helpful in all areas, especially when it comes to our dog.
Very convenient ski-in/ski-out location.
The staff are excellent, we look forward to seeing Robyn each time we visit! The rooms are clean, the kitchens are an asset, hot tub and gym are lovely. Exceptional location. 10/10
Amazing Stay
Our room and kitchenette was all that we needed. The ski in/out was great and so close to the slopes. We definitely want to come back again. We were lucky with the snow conditions and the warm temperatures, coldest day was -9 but it’s so beautiful and quiet (compared to Europe) even at their busiest time of year.
The hotel is a bit aged but loved the location. The carpet in the room probably hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned in years. It felt old and dirty. Not really worth the price ($1300 for three nights).
We had a mountain view room. We had great view of the New Years Eve celebration.
Great people - really helpful!
My favourite place to stay !
Perfect location. Walkable. Spacious rooms
Parking seemed to be an issue - another guest said to me if you get a spot don’t move your car or you’ll lose the spot - so no assigned spot for your stay
Good location!
Very good
Ski lift by the window.
Think this hotel could use an update. Ar carpet was all stained
Outstanding staff
Love this mounrain A little pricey for the area Still a great mounrain for skiing
Would stay again!
Great location and the staff are very accommodating. The property needs a major refresh and a deep clean.
An excellent place to stay and the village is amazingly beautiful. Unfortunately we found out parking was about 15 per day on top of the room fee, but other than that it was one of the best experiences I’ve had.
Great place to stay and easy access to nice cafe and to the ski lifts
Best ski in ski out
My son and I stayed here for a ski weekend in December 2024. The hotel is located in the heart of the village and the rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Ski lifts, shopping and restaurants were all available mere steps from the hotel entrance. I originally booked one night, then added a second the following day, and the front desk staff was very helpful, particularly Robyn, who ensured we didn't have to switch rooms mid-stay.
Comfortable but unremarkable accommodation and facilities
Great location
Decent price for off season
Village view room is quite noisy on a Saturday night, but the beds were comfortable and room was clean. I was only there one night, but everything went well and staff were very accommodating.
average
Excellent service and facility. Clean and quiet. Comfy bed. Overall amazing experience and will come back for sure!
From Stress to Success: Outstanding Support from t
Had a great stay at Sundance Lodge! The room was clean, and the bed and sheets were comfortable, but what made the experience exceptional was the front desk staff. I needed to be in Vancouver by a specific time for a very important engagement, and the main highway from Sunpeaks to Vancouver was closed due to an accident. The team at the front desk went above and beyond—they printed out a map and even showed me an alternate route through some backcountry logging roads. It made my trip a bit longer, but it saved me, and I made it to Vancouver just in time for my deadline. Honestly, their help made all the difference. Big thanks to the team at Sundance Lodge!
Very kind and helpful staff
Good value for the property. Lots to do... lots of pubs and restaurants. Nice rooms.
Dance with Sundance
Friendly staff. Spacious, well equipped room. Can’t stay any closer to the lifts!
Need ac also room rate is high so parking should be free
Nice stay thankyou
There was no air conditioning, made for a really warm room on the 4th floor
The hotel was quiet despite being fully booked. We liked the comfortable beds and roomy suite. The hotel was conveniently located inside the village walkable to everywhere. We would stay here again.
Location for event was perfect
Good location, room clean and comfortable.
Sun Peaks August 24
When we were in our room, we could smell dog pee. My wife used some perfume to help with the smell. There is no air conditioning, so it was muggy in our room. We had to ask for toilet paper, as we only had half a roll. The front desk was good and did provide more toilet paper and coffee. We would like to stay again, but would want a discount for this last stay. Thanks
The good: The location is great. The beds are comfortable. Love the kitchen and fridge. The hot tub was hot. The not so good: The property is a bit dated and beat up. The patio felt a bit creaky and there were cigarette butts out there. Pretty noisy on weekend nights due to its location, but that's what you get being right in the center of things. It was also pretty warm in the room, but it was built as a winter property so not surprising mid summer. Worth staying for location and reasonable price. Also, worth noting that parking is an extra charge.
No Air conditioner
Comfortable and great location. Room needs update.
Great location, fast & easy check in with great service !
Nice apartment with lovely views from balcony.
No AC
Rundown and no AC.
This hotel is in need of a great deal of love and attention. Lobby, garage, elevators, fitness centre and hot tub are all rundown, unappealing and uninviting spaces. Our room was slightly better than the common spaces, but not by much. The stovetop was just a counter jutting out from the wall with no ventilation to remove cooking odors. The fact that there is no air conditioning is the hotel’s biggest issue and needs to be addressed with increasingly warm temperatures. We slept with the window and door open and had a floor fan working full time - still, it was too hot to sleep. Parking was a hidden cost of $26/day. This is just annoying, especially given the bad quality of the property. Should have read the reviews before our stay. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again.
Nice place to stay
Clean, comfortable room with helpful staff. Lots to see and walk around, beautiful mountain view.
Nice place, hot with no a/c
Very accessible
I like that the staffs were friendly and accommodating. I didn’t like that there is no air conditioner in the summer it is very hot. i also didn’t like that I have to pay $25 extra for parking
No air/con, ugly carpet, carpeted kitchen area, old fixtures in bathroom. This place needs an update
Needs some AC for summer travelers.
No a/c. The elevator wasn’t working properly.
They never clean around the hot tub. And no air conditioning or air flow in the room
No air conditioning, rooms very hot.
Just OK
Room was 35C and no AC. Too hot to sleep comfortably. Hidden parking charges $24.
It was nice
No A/C in unit. SO hot at night in the summer. Everything else was great
We will be back!
Room and hotel desperately need to be upgraded - especially with the room rental prices being expensive! We had cracks in our wall - eg on top of the fireplace mantle, walls Room rug hasn't been cleaned in a while. It's too bad because love the ambience of the courtyard with its different restaurants. They also had a vendor market on Sunday
Good for one time stay.
No air conditioning. The room was sweltering. Didnt sleep at all. Other than that, it was fine. Full size fridge in the room and stove top.
Big room, good location and helpful staf
Great place to stay! Wonderful staff, comfortable beds and right in town so you can walk everywhere.
We love how pet friendly the entire area is.
Its has beautiful scenery all the way up to the lodge and surrounding the property
I was only there for one night but it was beautiful
Definitely a cool place to walk around and check out
No air conditioning.
Typical lodge in ski resort. Great location. Could use some updating, in particular common soace
As per staff, any parking within the area is not free and hotel charges $24/night.
Proximity to ski hill , steps away, great. Room clean with all utensils in kitchenette. No air conditioning in room was a negative but large fan was available.
Everything was very good except that the rooms don’t have air condition
Slightly dated but exceptionally clean hotel with everything we needed in fantastic location in centre of Sun Peaks village. Parking was only issue, not being advised earlier we would need to pay and then parking bays quite tight for a big vehicle. All in all though, great spot.
Great place
Too hot to sleep
The room is nice and well equipped. But it was so hot! The temperature outside was 12c when we went to bed and went down to 5c overnight. We had the window fully open and the bathroom fan on to try and get the heat out of the room a bit. The room heater wasn’t on so we couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. Our sleep was terrible. Too hot and had to listen to a noisy bathroom fan all night. Also didn’t know we were going to get charged an extra 24 dollars for parking.
The property is well-situated in the village and is ideally located in the skiing season. Breakfast places are nearby, as are restaurants. Rooms are modest and designed to sleep and not to spend any time to relax or work. I want to give the front-desk staff ROBIN an extra plus, as she organized the return of an iPad that we accidentally left behind. She was very forthcoming and efficient.
Great location and price
We have stayed in many hotels of various ratings, but being our anniversary, we wanted a nicer place, that had a good rating. This one was rated excellent, with an 8.6 rating, and so we thought it would be perfect. The information and pictures were misleading, as we saw that the room, even though it was a "comfort" room, had a fireplace and balcony. When we arrived there was no fireplace and no balcony. The beds were clean and comfortable, but the bathtub enamel was chipped to the metal. There was no air conditioning, and being a sunny day the room was hot, and we couldn't figure out how to open a window, and the only option we had was a noisy portable fan, which didn't blow cool air, just moved around the warm air. We used the hottub, but apparently the filters weren't on or working, as there were floaties in the water, and sand or dirt on the floor. Check in was smooth and pleasant, but when I asked the desk about our room, they said that we reserved through expedia and that's what we get. It was mid week, and there was hardly anyone else around, so I don't know why they didn't upgrade us to a nicer room, since as a former front desk clerk for a high end hotel chain, I knew that is their option, to promote good customer service, if possible. The room we got, was not the room we thought we reserved. Very disappointed.
Annual foam fest trip
Another awesome stay at the sundance
The room was beautiful, the hot tub was lovley. It is right in the village which was perfect for us. The one suggestion I would have is the staff at the front didn't tell us about hot tub use, we only knew because we saw it out our window, also we didn't realize the access of the cafes right from the hotel. More information on amenities around the property would have been nice for a first time visitor. Otherwise this was a lovley property to visit and I will definitely booking again. :)
