I’ve stayed here every year since 2021. The ppl are great ! Diana at the front desk and Donnell in the parking area are my favorite. They take care of me every time. Nice big balconies and nice pool area. You just can’t beat it for the price💚
Hotel needs maintenance. Towels had a stinking smell of sulfur. The room looked clean, but smelled of chemists. Very friendly staff.
This hotel is closer to a hostel than hotel. The only positive thing about this place is the wonderful staff and closeness to the big mall. That’s why I rate this place 3 stars. We couldn’t sleep because of the loud music from a bar nearby. The music played until 5 AM!!! Beyond that, the room was very old and not well maintained.
Multiple bites from bed bugs and even saw 2 cockroaches.... we were told the maid would not come in if we didn't put the tab on the door. she came in and even put multiple tip envelopes in our stuff... felt very unsafe and uneasy about it. stains everywhere... on the couch, pillows, bedding blankets and sheets, towels.. entrance door to our room was in very rough condition. VERY Noisy below the complex. Couldn't even check in on time because they were not ready for us.. a tiny bottle of water was the only thing I received for this inconvenience. windows in room and sliding door to balcony don't close all the way or lock. still water sitting in the tub in the room where the washing machine was. glad we didn't spend time in our room very much. I WILL NOT BOOK HERE EVER AGAIN.
Wifi was bad, but should have asked for another one and the shower leaks. Beside that very nice place to stay with huge balcony and view.
Good
Very good hotel for the price. The only problem is that it was very hard for us to find the entrance. You can only access through the parking lot or the mall if you already have the key. The swimming pool is beautiful!
I really wanted to like this hotel, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. The pictures are really deceiving. The bedding was awful—thin, cheap blankets that didn’t keep us warm, and the mattress was just as bad: thin, cheap, and super squeaky. It was so uncomfortable that we actually had to borrow bedding from local family just to get through the stay. Definitely not what you’d expect from a hotel in Cancun. The service wasn’t any better. The staff didn’t seem interested in helping and barely responded to requests. We asked for clean towels during our stay, and not only did they never bring them, but they didn’t even follow up. It felt like they just didn’t care. On top of that, trying to get a hold of reception over the phone was a nightmare—they were almost impossible to reach. Another issue was the cleaning schedule. They showed up at completely random times in the afternoon, which was super inconvenient. We’d be in the room trying to relax, and suddenly housekeeping would knock with no warning. Overall, the lack of comfort and poor service made this stay way more stressful than it needed to be. There are way better options in Cancun, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless they make some serious improvements.
Some of my medication either stollen or delibrately diposed by cleaner, room service was not perform regularly, cleaners are not doing their job right.
Good for the price. Will come again
Great location. Right across the street from Malecón. Each night there is a street market with awesome food, tacos, churros, marquesitas, ect… also great restaurants nearby. We did have a broken sink in our room and the hot tub doesn’t work, but the rooms were spacious and served our needs.
Property was great and convenient. Lack of towels but delivered same day. Compare to other rentals, no diswashing machine detergent, no availability of sugar/salt/coffee. Need to purchase drinking water
Great
Muy buen cervicio excelente servicio y muy buena atención
It was better before, but still very convenient because of the location.
Best value!!! Wonderful room with great view.
Policy for visitors is not very clear. They make it very awkward and difficult.
Great value! Everything you need is right there. And I mean right there!!!
The whole staff was nice , very clean the view was everything to my family got to do a lot of extreme adventure for a great deal we are literally connected to the mall and all food areas
Great experience i will go back to this hotel and it’s highly recommended from me
Friendly and convenient.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very close to a shopping mall and great location for transportation to the airport, public transit for about 5 minutes and ADO the bus depot.
GREAT LOCATION!!
Convenient to the shopping mall where you can get food and shop in walking distance
Very good location for shopping or medical services.
Second time staying. Favorite place in Cancun.
Todo bien
The evening of our arrival was windy and somewhat rainy the building is located above a commercial plaza and you have to access trough a parking garage to go to the main entrance the building and garage looks dirty and the building needs improvements while in your room you can hear other people conversation and continuous building noise like loose construction materials also hard to sleep music in the bars around the area keep playing till 5am continuously horrible place I would not recommend it
Beautiful hotel with nice staff. Would come back again
No functional a/c, 36 Centigrade in the room. TV controls did not work. Phone made a crackling sound until we left it disconnected. We were switched to another room by end of day but the AC in that one was banging like a drum set continuously. Since the front desk said there were no other rooms, we checked out the next day. We asked for a refund and they told us to settle with HOTELS.COM. Can we at least get a refund for 3 out of 4 days?
Nice and clean unit. Great staff!
It takes a different kind of traveler to enjoy staying here you have to be an experienced traveler you have to know what you're doing you have to realize what great conveniences are at your fingertips and what a view great views looking back at the hotel zone with the boats the parasailing. I have been staying at the Malecon for many years, my husband wanted to check in about getting a condo to rent we loved it so much and we have lived in Honduras for 10 years before we have traveled many places so like I said it's a different travel experience I think he would have to be an experienced traveler to realize what a gem of a place this is and some of you who have written these bad reviews I'd like to come over and take a look at your place because this place is top-notch in my book don't let the bad reviews scare you away some people are just going to be haters always looking for something wrong unfortunately. But to my wonderful people at the melaton Danielo to the front desk to our wonderful maid service thank you for making our days so special we love you and hope to see you real soon!
Excellent hotel, great service from staff and lots of places to shop and eat at.
I so disappointed after we have spent hour money come to do some dental work, and they sent us back to Jamaica for what I don’t know
Refund request horrible wedding stay.
I was on a wedding trip to be married it was horrible stay during the time we stayed there the day before our wedding the hotel had no water for 24 hours prior we could not shower use the restroom at a gas station it was the worst experience I have had booking with hotels in years I’ve been a member. I would like a credit on my account for this horrible stay. The hotel offered gallon containers of water and no other relief for our comfort. I would like a refund on my stay or I will have to cancel my membership with hotel use moving forward. My wedding was ruin and after a few weeks of thought we decided that we are valued customers long time and should be refunded for the stay. I am sure it is public records that the hotel and or area around the hotel loss water usage at the time of our stay.
The room was noisy all night so exterior noise
love it
Los apartamentos muy bien, pero esta cerca de una discoteca que tiene musica alta
I wanted to love Suites Melacon but I wouldn't stay here ever again despite the amazing location and connected to a beautiful shopping center with tons of restaurants, stores, and spas. The noise level is not the property's fault thanks to the neighboring concert club arena, nightclubs, and bars; but it would have been a nice courtesy informing the guests. The music is blasting loud from 9pm to 6am!!! You can't sleep without earplugs. We were on the 9th floor. The sound radiates so loud. If you do stay here then: Marisol at reception and Daniel Morales at security entrance at E3 were absolutely so friendly and customer serviced. They always had a smile on their faces. Definitely look out for them! Take advantage of the water jug dispenser for 100 pesos which needs to be paid in cash. You can order this from the lobby reception. The security deposit is 100USD or 1000 pesos and they give a paper receipt. If you lose the receipt, you are out of luck and won't get your money back. This seems sketchy. The safe in the room is not operated with a code but rather a key. Lose it and you're screwed. They only give ONE room key and one access key which is a "private" entrance to the Plaza Malecon Americas mall.
Employee working at the entry gate to the parking garage jumped on the back of my rental vehicle after I accidentally rolled past the gate upon initially arriving to the hotel. One of the worst experiences I've had at any hotel. Would advise tourists to consider taking their business elsewhere due to service.
The building was made with cheap labor and materials and looked as such. The overall low level of faux finishes is not odvious in photos but in person the low quality is impossible to miss.
very nice and clean very safe
Definitely an amazing place to stay. I stayed in the suit with the hot tub and it was amazing. The location was great for young people who are looking to have fun. There’s a huge shopping mall literally next to the suit, there a bunch of restaurants around the area which close at 5am. The place is nice the only thing I didn’t like was that the towels and overall sheets were tainted with yellow spots. There is cleaning everyday, however the sheets didn’t feel or seemed to be clean. The staff in the reception and in the entrance (garage area) are very nice. However in my room I had 2 bottles of alcohol and it seemed like someone had poured water into it because some of the alcohol froze. Is impossible for liquor to freeze so when I saw that portion of my alcohol was frozen I thought someone must have taken some alcohol and pour water in. I hope I’m incorrect. Anyways, the place is amazing I do hope that the sheets are replaced or cleaned better. Also my hot tub was never cleaned.
I want to thanks the check in/out girls . Very efficents, professionals and with fantastic attitude. I'll be back soon.
Very nice place to stay to go to Cancun Cosmetic Dentistry in the mall.
All good
The property has a low roof entrance to their parking garage which is how you access the lobby and this causes big issues for shuttle transportation they can't access the garage therefore you'll be left out on the street with your luggage to truck up hill and through a parking structure in order to check in here. Balconies are extremely unsafe. Rooms are small and tv is in Spanish. The mall is perfectly located across from the hotel.
The noise at nigth there is a night club around the property and they play loud music at night
Loud music all night.
The location is central but it is surrounded by night bulbs that will be playing loud music from 9 pm to 7Aam. Be warned if you are looking for a night sleep. Even with earplugs the bass kept me up.
The guys down at security were amazing and super helpful with getting places and helping us translate things when needed.
Good service Marisol at front desk, Lupita housekeeping, security mens at entry and at elevator very friendly.thanks to all . my family had good experience.
4/5. Too many rules. Leave $100 cash deposit at the check in. Separate cards for room and elevator, and you only get 1 elevator card per room. Lose a room card - $20 fine. Want a beach towel - leave a room key as a deposit. Checkout at 1200 sharp - after that they threaten to charge you by the minute and use your cash deposit for that. Kind of confusing building entrance, takes a couple of hours to get used to. The good. - nice and new suite, full kitchen with dishes and hardwares, coffe machine and a nice view. Clean bed and floor, convenient location next to a supermarket
I love this nice and clean hotel. Thank you to the staff for being so friendly.
Convenient area and beautiful view of the ocean. Staff was great and helpful!
People
The people at the front desk were all so delightful and friendly. Willing to help with anything you needed. Liked the location also as it was so easy to get to the mall to eat since this place doesn't have a restaurant. Pool could use some upgrading but sure felt good on these hot days! Would stay again.
Great centrally located spot. Secure parking
Chulada de hotel
Todo perfecto buena atención al cliente
Got a good rate but of course 18th floor suite with hurricane coming in right at us. Suites are nice area is good too some eye soar buildings abandoned around other than that was good structure is kind of old from outside beat up with wind and humidity need new paint. Kind staff.
Consistently declining quality
I already did a review for the main part of our stay (not good), we had to add on to our stay due to the hurricane. I will say that I'm very disappointed that the quality of this hotel is declining. They have removed the washers/dryers from the hallways, the pool water is clean, but the walls and floor of the pool are very dirty. The hot tub doesn't work, there are only three loungers for the entire hotel. Two days before we left, the dental office asked me to take a prescription and leave it with the front desk for an incoming patient to pickup. They said they had already talked to the manager and it was approved. When I went to the front desk, Viviana was there and she was SO rude at me and actually yelled when I asked. Upon checkout, Viviana was the person at the front desk. She was again, exceptionally rude and argumentative. I had to get the manager to the reception desk to get my $100 deposit. I've been staying at this hotel for a while and never had an experience like I had this trip. I sent a friend the week prior and she also had a bad experience. I don't believe that I'll be coming back again. Another option nearby is Fiesta Inn, I would suggest trying them instead of Suites Malecon.
We have stayed here many times. This trip was significantly different. They no longer have washers/dryers in each suite. There are only THREE lounge chairs for the entire pool deck. The pool is dirty and in poor repair. The hot tub doesn’t work. The previous manager was amazing, the new one doesn’t seem to care that the quality and service are significantly lower than under prior management.
We had ants in the closet.Close to mall and shopping which we did like, though.
We arrived a day late due to the airline however when we did arrive they could not find my reservation really because they did not check properly.. they were trying to make me rebook and pay again and take up my original reservation with whom I booked…. Little dated but was clean… room was spacious with jacuzzi …if I visit Cancun I would stay again
great property
Very nice
.
The property and staff were great. The area is wonderful as far as walking to great food and shopping. There was a bar across the street that stayed open 24/7 that was so loud I did not sleep a full night I was there. I had a fan app on my phone but still could hear the music, this went until 4 to 6am 7 days a week.
Marisol and Pablo at the reception desk were incredible. Very helpful and friendly. I noticed a problem with the bathroom sink in my room on the 11th floor, I told Marisol and it was fixed within 30 minutes. The gym, the pool and pool deck and the people on level E3 were great...overall, a great experience. Very much recommended.
Good place
Elevators out walk to 15th floor no bueno. Got them to refund and moved last 2 days elsewhere after an hour argument. Good but management sucks
Very dirty when we arrived
Very nice! Really loved our room. Pools are old and need some maintenance but everything ese was nice. Staff was awesome!
How to lose customers because of bad supervisor
Supervisor was super rude
I had a great time at this location the amenities were awesome and the location is great for shopping, next door to the mall and plenty of eateries
Great room and amenities.
Incredibly difficult to locate if not arriving via taxi. The entrance is inside a parking garage. There’s a cash only deposit upon arrival. Fine stay. Property is nice. Staff was very friendly.
What I din t like :was for 5 guest they give you one pair of keys. When we lost the plastic keys they charges 1000 pesos for a new set. Also we rented a 3 beadrooms app and they charges 30$ per person per day to stay for 3 peoples extra If a friend wanted to come had to pay a day pass until 6pm if they want to stay over night had to pay. The staff was nice but the how the admin run the place with the xtrra cost. Not worth it
Dirty and aged. At check in front desk demanded $100 usd Cash as a deposit for the access cards. I would not stay here again. Ever The concierge / security guy where you park was the only highlight of the stay.
Was a short stay and was excellent for me. Have nothing to complain about.
Best place to stay in Downtown Cancun. The building is beginning to show age on the exterior, but won't affect your stay. Some pool repairs and new pool furniture would be excellent, but the hotel is amazing. We stay there any time we go to Cancun.
The inconvenient I found was the acces to the property was a little complicated
Bedsheets were dirty when we got there. Ants all over the coffee table/rug so we did not want to sit in the living room. Woke up to no water running in our room. Friend stayed in a different room and when they tried to cook, the smell of gas was so strong that they had to request to switch rooms. I do not recommend this hotel.
Great apartments, whether you're staying for a single night or planning months away from home. Feels like home!
The room had leaking washroom, there was no water on our final day of departure in bathroom. We would have missed flight bcz of this. There was no proper response when we asked them. had to check out without even freshening up.
Our 2 night stay was ok. Local tv not working. No drinking water. No coffee service. Very basic.
Staff was very pleasant. Make us feel welcome. The view was spectacular
This hotel is in a great location! So many restaurants and things to do all in walking distance. Taxis are just around the corner, we took one from the hotel to Playa Tortugas less than 15 minutes! We went for a concert at Beto Águila Stadium and again it was such a short drive. We would of loved If this location would of had a lobby bar but not a deal breaker for us. Also it was pretty noisy at night but we were able to sleep thru it! We enjoyed our stay overall would come back!
Nice place, good service, helpful
It's a little difficult to find because it's part of a very large shopping center/parking garage/apartment complex. Our taxi drivers had difficulty finding it, but not the hotel's fault. The room was good, came with a coffee pot but you need to provide your own coffee. Nice pool and outdoor area, good gym. Would stay again. Hotel staff called for taxis for us, but they seemed a little higher priced than directly, but prices seem to vary depending on the provider. But that's Mexico! Recommend the hotel!
Bring cleaning supplies !
It’s so sad to watch this hotel, that I frequent , go down hill so fast. The manager obviously does not care about the condition . They charge $100 USD cash for deposit to stay, yet there is no pool chairs , no pool service as the pool is disgustingly dirty. Furniture in hotel is filthy and desperately needs replacing .
Confortable walking to tge mall. The 3 bedroom suite layout is perfect. Bed was nit comfortable though.
The property was very noisy but otherwise an excellent location for a short stop over. Very good dining options in a walking distance. Very kind and helpful employees.
I like it here, and will stay again. The discrepancy between standard in-hotel prices and Expedia prices is severe enough that staff let you know that you should book through Expedia. The rooms are great. We had some issues with housekeeping, but nothing too severe. Front Desk staff were more than willing to help. Some general cleanliness issues were noticed such as severe stains on balcony furniture. Hotel exterior is showing its age due to concrete degradation and missing paint. Security is excellent to the point of making check-in challenging on some occasions, but not on this most recent trip. View is excellent, but a neighboring incomplete buildings are not attractive. These building don't seem that they will be completed in the foreseeable future. Definitely recommend staying here, provided you don't mind the additional oddities of trying to get in and out of the location. Plenty of excellent local dining choices in the area.
This place is horrible. The staff does not know how to treat their guest. It feels like you’re being watched.. no hot water sometimes and super loud across the street till 4am because there’s a club
When we arrived at 12, the room was not ready. Only at 3 pm. Hotel has not a safe baggage's room, our bags was in a lobby . We went to the town. Came back on evening . In a room was not turn on AC and was only cold shower water. In a morning they apologized they forgot to turn on warm water! Hotel has not normal front door to the street, only to garage. It's a huge hotel, seems like 4-6 high buildings, they have a different name, but is no name on a building. We spent 1.5 hours to find our hotel building next day . They have not printed map. Outside of the hotel without the map without internet was hard to travel. Is very busy road, the air is durty. Is no restaurant in a hotel. Never ever.
Very easy to get to.
It is pretty nice.
Air conditioning thermostat stove refrigerator certain appliances TV going out in the rooms happen to call maintenance up there overall terrible experience will never run or stay at them again
This property offers a family experience with 1-2-3 apartments
Decent hotel. It is noisy at night from the surrounding clubs.
It was fun being there the rooms were clean
I have stayed at this property multiple times. I am usually in Cancun for dental work and the hotel is minutes from my dentist so it’s very convenient. (Shout out Cancun cosmetic dentistry) Check in was at 3. I arrived a little before and was told my room was not ready. I waited almost 2 hrs for my room to be cleaned. Sucked bc I was tired from traveling. Room was clearly not clean and the air didn’t work properly in the living area. I contacted the front desk and they sent someone asap who said it was fine. It clearly wasn’t. The couch was smelly and not clean. I ask for another room. The new room was the same. I ask for a smaller room (with tub on balcony) bc I know in the past.. they seem newer and cleaner. So I traded for a smaller room. Ask for a refund for the difference and was told no. I cut my losses bc I was more comfortable. The next day at the desk they ask me to sign a paper stating I accepted a new smaller room and understood that I wasn’t getting a refund. I wasn’t mad… Just not the hospitality I’m used to. The rest of my stay was great. The cleaners and the parking garage security are amazing. Desk workers were not rude at all.. just not overly accommodating. Even with the issues.. I will stay again. Love the view and listening to the downtown Cancun noise. If that bothers you at night…maybe pack some ear plugs.
The property is next to the mall. Easy shopping and dinning options. Quick walk to the lagoons
It was nice
