During our stay, there was a building-wide power outage. The problem wasn’t the power outage itself, that stuff happens, but the fact that there was no longer a way out of the building. To get into the room, you need to use a key card three times, once at the front door, once at the floor level, and once at your room. We were already inside. If we hadn’t been, we would have had no way in. The main problem is that we had no way out. Our room door and floor door, we could exit with a manual switch. The main front door had no manual way to exit. We were trapped inside. This is very dangerous and needs to be rectified for future guests. The power was out for 2.5 hours, in which we couldn’t leave. You need to have battery back-up for those door readers AND you need a way to exit the building. That’s a huge fire hazard. The room itself was very nice, but I can’t overlook the safety issue.
We arrived after dark via the airport shuttle bus, coming from stays in Bologna and Venice, and upon the very first impression, the neighborhood by the bus terminal and train station felt a bit worn and slightly sketchy. But once we got into the room, which felt comfortable and grand at the same time due to the sheer volume of space (I don’t know how high the ceilings are, but it felt like 20 feet) and got onto the Wi-Fi, we found a great local restaurant and had a wonderful dinner. The property was very convenient to the main attractions of Palermo, and the staff was very accommodating.
The apartment is spacious and would be good for self catering. The air con works well. It’s high enough to lose some street noise from the busy area around but this is Palermo and high traffic levels. Dealing with the owner remotely by WhatsApp worked but they could do with offering a brief to guests in advance about entry procedure which otherwise seems vaguely left to contact when you arrive. The old lift worked well but this property could be limited access (as seemingly is Palermo in general )for anyone with disabilities. (We are able bodied just a thought though)
CONS: - the room is advertised as soundproof rooms. We could hear everybody in the rooms and also the traffic and works on the streets. - the aircon was not working and it was extremely hot. Also it was too noise. - I never found the bar/breakfast area. When I asked the woman that was cleaning the rooms she didn’t know so we had to go to a bar in the street for a coffee. - the inside wardrobes were very old and dirty and the bed cover inside was filthy. - No service at the front desk so difficult to ask for extra information. - the building is very, very old and ugly, but this is very a personal opinion. PROS: - Access to WhatsApp assistance was easy but if you arrive almost at 12 because your flight is delayed, you don’t want to be bothering people. That’s on everyone’s own standard of course. - the actual room and the toilet were very clean. - the location was close to everything. - the person we spoke on WhatsApp didn’t charged us the tourism tax as I didn’t have cash when I left and neither the 2 waters we had from the fridge. - I pay €50 for one night room so you get what you pay.
Great location and comfortable.
Very convenient for the train or buses and within walking distance of all the main places of interest. Good communication via WhatsApp with regards to check in.
Really lovely room and the complimentary prosecco was a nice touch. Terrific bathroom facilities. Easily walkable to the centre of the city.
It was a really nice experience right in the city, everything was so accessible and most things within walking distance.
Its a room in an old apartment building. There's crappy right street parking, the numbers on the building aren't clear and this particular one is missing the last number. You have to message this guy when you get there to buzz the front door, its creepy and poorly lit when you walk in. You have to take at least 10 stairs to get to where the lift starts and its shady. Then message the guy again to buzz you in to the next door then message the guy again to buzz you into the next door. The hot tub was nice except it was a museum of other people's hair.
Easy remote checking, located very close to train and bus stations, walkable neighborhood with services.
Convenient location, friendly and helpful staff Quiet and comfortable room
This is a good example of good idea that is very poorly executed. The check-in was a headache. I showed up and no one was there. Had to find a coffee shop to connect to wifi to call the
This was a very nice B&B and the only reason I don't give it an excellent rating is because the neighborhood is not very nice. It is very close to the train and bus station, literally right behind it, only about a 5 minute walk but the neighborhood looks scarier than what it is but even so it can be intimidating at times. Also it is very convenient being next to the train station if you will be taking lots of train trips but if you are not, I think it will be much better to stay near Via Roma or closer to the Centro Storico because from this property it is quite a walk!
Close to public transport- trains and buses for regional trips
Breakfast was made to order. Fantastic. Espresso Coffee. Juice. Cereal. Rolls. On and on. Great service. Great rooms. One block from train station. Perfect for travelers. Service was A+. Safe wonderful stay with great individualized attention provided by Davide.
The room lived up to the photography. It was contemporary and clean, but it is in a very old apartment building which has not had the same extensive rehab. The entrance was not very appealing. We could never get the elevator to work and had to carry our own luggage up three flights of stairs past an apartment with bird noises coming from it. There was no human face-to-face contact except for breakfast delivery. When we arrived we had to press a buzzer and talk through an intercom. I found that cold and actually kind of creepy. All other communication was via What's App. We could not find any appealing restaurants in the general area. The young man who delivered our breakfast took our payment for the room and when we asked for a receipt he wrote it on a Post-It.
Love the apartment.
Davide n Francisco were great host. It makes our stay extremely pleasant. Simple breakfast is more then sufficient to starts our day. Love the croissants. Location is great (near train station n bus terminal) although neighborhood is a little unpleasant. The apartment is great especially is you take up 3 or 4 rooms.
Very nice rooms, tastefully decorated. Good location close to everywhere! Very good and welcoming service by the staff, even very late check in was smooth!
My wife and I booked the romantic suite, and it was lovely. The suite was beautiful and very clean, with a large jacuzzi tub and separate shower with an overhead rainshower fixture. Breakfast each morning was delicious...the breads and pastries, amazing. The hosts were wonderful and took good care of our needs and answered all of our questions. The room was quiet and you could not hear any city noise, at all. There is a lift up to the room, after you climb a short staircase. The neighborhood surrounding the property was fine, and we walked at night to eat and look around. Overall, a very positive experience that I would recommend.
Great location. Google map to walk from bus station. 2min
Palermo accommodation gem!
What a room, especially the generous bathroom, a rarity in Europe. The hosts Davide and Andrea were welcoming and veey helpful. At checkout, they gifted us a photographic image on canvas of the Teatro Massimo - how sweet! The accommodation is well located, just around the corner from the bus station. The short way is down a minor road so do get in touch with Andrea or Davide for detailed steps to get there if needed.
Exceptional
If you are looking for something different yet modern and stylish, then this is the place. The welcome and service were first class despite the late arrival and we were made to feel very welcome by Davide, Francesco and the team. We will definitely be back for another visit, highly recommend.
The rooms were modern and very comfortable - the only comment I would make was that we arrived late in the evening and it was a little daunting to find our way into the property. We also did not realise it was on the third floor and although it had a lift, because someone left the doors open on another floor we could not use it when we arrived. Our host, when we met him the next day was very attentive and overall we were very pleased.
Nice building, great rooms with nice attention to detail. Davide was very pleasant, helpful with orientating us to Palermo proper. Location is a bit away from Centro but only a block away from Train/bus terminal.
The room was very nice. Bed super comfortable. Shower was great. My only suggestion would be hooks in the bathroom for towels to hang on.
First time in Palermo, I chose this B&B on the beautiful pictures alone, looked like a 4*. The flats are newly renovated in a very old building (an owner on the 2nd floor has lots of birds which is charming). The building has one of those lovely rickety lifts which you can access on the first floor. Contacted Davide before I left and we corresponded using What's app for convenience. I gave an expected time which was an hour earlier than check in which Davide confirmed was fine. There are big wooden doors with the flats buzzer to the right. The rooms where superb for the price, clean, modern minimalist with little pieces of art. Decor reminded me of the Soho chain in (London and Istanbul) Big memory foam mattress and pillows, surprisingly comfortable. Has a tv, however satellite programmes didn't work but if you have other devices you don't need tv with free wifi. Shower was fab, lots of power like a wet room with a little seat built in. It has a hairdryer but bring your own as it's like little kittens blowing on you. Little mini fridge, breakfast table with chairs if needed. Breakfast was €9 euros which you should order, however Davide was kind enough to make something after I felt hungry one morning, superb coffee, fresh bread etc. Other room occupiers where polite and respectful, slept really well, it was so dark and quiet. I would highly recommend to other solo travellers. Davide was kind professional and respectful.
Fantastic find!
Excellent! Beautifully decorated room with delicious breakfast. Very welcoming and helpful hosts. Great location for exploring Palermo on foot. Great value for money. Parking is easy in the secure car park very near to the hotel -however this is €1 per hour so can mount up.
Amazing inside I like it , all thing perfect and comfortable
Good place with free parking places
A good place for a short stay to visit Palermo. A lot of free carpark places nearby, I was lucky to get a spot right in front of the entrance door :) 10-minute walk from the main city center, however it's good to wander around since it's a very Palermo real-spirit zone with a lot of cheap, tasty food and coffee options. The room is modern with perfect mattress and spacious bathroom. The only drawback is that it's not soundproof - you hear everyone walking in the corridor as well as other Guests watching things on their phones or TV. Nevertheless, I would come back :) Thanks!
Struttura ristrutturata e molto confortevole, check in veloce, stanza davvero bella e dotata di tutto
Camere confortevoli letto comodissimo pulizia ottima Personale gentile
Flott
Flott komfortabelt rom !
Change address at last minute
The booked accommodation change address at last minute where need longer walking distance exceed my original criteria of less than 5 mins walk from train station.
Wunderschönes Zimmer, liegt zentral neben Bus- und Bahn-Terminal. Hauptattraktionen in 15 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Einfaches ein- und aus-checken. Bett bequem.
Host gentilissimo e disponibile. Consigliatissimo.

The design and interior was lovely. The place was a little dusty and was disappointed that i couldn't open the balcony shutters as it was locked with a chain. There was also some mildew in the shower. I also asked for an extra blanket because I was cold and didn't want to sleep with the heating on to avoid getting sick, but I didn't get a response back or a blanket
