Very Good
Very good service. Thank you.
Thankyou Stamford Plaza Adelaide, the price was really competitive (please don't raise it) and breakfast was terrific. I stayed 2 nights and the staff was super friendly and helpful. My compliments and gratitude from a disabled Aussie veteran.
We had a good stay however the air conditioning is controlled by motion sensors. Though it went down to 12 degrees overnight, our room only got down to 25 degrees.
Great clean, value for money
A Nice Stay
Mix up with car park charges and the bar wasn’t open when we were there. Overall a pleasant comfortable overnight stay.
Staff were lovely. The room was clean and comfortable with lovely bedding.
Good location in city.
Room service was not cleaned when asked, air conditioning was not working properly, lifts were very slow, no valet car parking and car park was tight …. Location was good
Check in was easy enough , however everything went downhill from there. My partner and I found that the tv in the room was not working correctly, to which I attempted to contact reception on multiple occasions however nobody answered ….. )which I feel is not up to the standards of a so called five star hotel.) due to this I made my way downstairs to speak to reception and was told that they were too busy to answer the phone to which I informed them that it was not appropriate standards. I then spoke to the duty manager who stated they would get maintenance to look at the tv while my partner and I went to dinner. We later returned from dinner and found that the tv was still not working correctly to which I once again attempted to contact reception using the room telephone on multiple occasions to which once again no answer. So once again I got the lift downstairs to speak to the reception staff to find that there was no guests attempting to check in etc however they did not answer the room phone. At this time I was told by the receptionist that maintenance had been and that there was no issues with my tv and made to feel like a liar even though the tv was clearly still broken. I then contacted the duty manager who informed me that there was a network problem on my level and they had to reset things which showed me that there was actually an issue and that the receptionist treated me in a smart way when she was actually wrong. This amongst other things created a terrible stay.
Blood all over the bed sheets, not changed Had to ask 3 times for a cot bed to be brought to the room, was asked to pay for it, explained I paid through WOTIF. still didnt put a bed in the room until 10:30pm when asking the third time, bed was delivered dirty, changed pillow case and top sheet, when we went to bed a 2am, their was blood on the fitted sheet!
It’s a great location for either going to a function or sport at the Adelaide Oval plus it’s also easy walking distance to the main shopping area of Rundle Mall. The only disappointment was that we could easily hear the next rooms TV!!! Maybe it was just turned up way too loud! Reception did call them which was good. Otherwise a good stay.
2 smaller chairs at the window would have been much more appreciated rather than the 1 big one.
The property is in a fantastic location directly opposite the station and casino. Staff were great and very accommodating. The hotel is a little dated however we were very disappointed with the cleanliness. Our first room had black mould in the shower grout. After complaining they immediately moved us to a new room but that shower base was no better with the same black mould in the corners.
I only stayed one night however 2 out of 3 elevators were working, both incredibly slow and small, took almost 10minutes to get a lift up to my room. I booked a garden view room, all I could see was the top of the roof of the building across the road and a teeny sliver of green in the distance, my air conditioner in my room couldn't be reset so I had a warm stuffy room all night and no way to open the window, the shower has no pressure whatsoever. My minibar fridge was so packed with room service options that it wouldn't shut which made everything warm by the time I got there. I will say room was very clean. Next morning they were down to 1 working elevator, it took me 15minutes of waiting to be able to fit into the elevator, in the end a staff member let us use the service elevator as you weren't allowed to use the stairs. Overall it was a basic hotel but the little things let them down. Wouldn't bother staying again as nicer hotels in the same area
Comfortable accommodation. Property itself becoming a bit outdated - very noisy air conditioners and LONG waits for the elevators (only 2 out of 3 in service). Very convenient to city shopping.
Lovely room with good views and well insulated from traffic noise outside. Friendly staff. Grateful for the help booking a tour and investigating transport options.
Vomit on the floor out side our lift no one cleaned it up all day. Bath tub had a hole cut in the tiles and water ran out off it onto the floor. Bed was as hard and had two sink holes. Coffee was terrible.
Struck check in time well im sure some waited at least 30min. they had a big change over day when we arrived only 2 lifts working, then 1 to get to and from room. some ppl had 20min wait to get down to reception. We were lucky most waited was 8 min. breakfast was very good and staff tried to please and apologetic.
The hotel is a scam and a dirty, filthy inconvenient anachronism. For the money the hotel was chronically understaffed, the breakfast was a ripoff, the coffee sucked and the broken lift was not signed. Absolutely worst hotel I have stayed in in Australia. Get your act together and honour what the name Stamford means to SA. It is not a 2 star hotel. Make it shine or tear it down. Huge fail!!!!👎
Highly recommended!
Aaa
The bathroom didn’t appear to have been cleaned properly when we arrived and is in poor condition although the rest of the room was nice.
Staff were lovely
Friendly and helpful staff. Close to work commitments
Great location , spacious rooms but old .
Room service could have been better. Toasted ham and cheese sandwich was soggy and not served with chips as the picture woukd have you believe.
Ok
The room air conditioner is pressnt to go off in about 20 minutes and the remote is fixed to the wall. We woke up sweating multiple times in the night on the two nights we stayed. I saw there was poor reviews of this hotel but did not make much of it but here onwards I will always consider guest reviews. This is a 2 star hotel and expedia should not have it under five star.
A very pleasant stay. Staff were welcoming. We were only there for one night so didn’t have time try many facilities but breakfast buffet was good and $10 cheaper if you pre book the night before.
.
Not bad at all
The staff were amazing! The place is a bit dated but overall loved it and will definitely be back!
No
The stay was convenient and in a grate location for what I had on over the weekend.
Terrible hotel worst I’ve ever stayed in!
We booked 2 superior King rooms for 3 nights in Adelaide city. The price was $1900. They claim 5 Stars but when we arrived carpet in the corridors was warn and stained. The room had two beers and a bottle of wine with nothing else. The bathroom was tiny and showers were so old and outdated i was shocked. Rusted sliding doors that didn’t even close properly. The aircon didn’t work and when i called reception they told me they have to turn it on from the back office. No valley service! They made us pay $40 per day to park at Wilson’s car park 10 mins walk away! I asked for upgraded room as a member and they made me pay $200 per room and im a member. I order room service which came one hour later cold and ice cream melted. Only one lift worked and when i asked for a bucket of ice they told me it would take 45 mins! Terrible hotel worst I’ve ever stayed in the last 30 years of business.
Great location
.
I liked the closeness to the Festival Theatre and other eateries. I didn't like that the shower was above the bathtub.
Loved being able to open a little window for some fresh air. Nice view. Hotel carpark very tight you can’t be in a hurry lol
Rooms dated and run down. Riff raff milling around outside the hotel- Feral bogan couldn't control his dog and it attacked a blind woman's seeing eye dog. Ruined our night.
Clean hotel, bed and pillows were comfortable. One guy on front desk staff displayed a complete lack of customer service with both our group and we observed the same with other guests - not at all a good look for someone who is the first and last point of contact with guests. The immediate area around the hotel is very handy for cafes and drinks and transport but after dark felt often unsafe.
Lovely staff, very friendly. Great room, good value. Close to food and shopping. I stayed to visit Adelaide oval, everything in walking distance. Easy parking options
old bathroom
Great location in Adelaide
Great location and very comfortable hotel but on arrival while I did not expect my room to be ready I had hoped for a place to eat and Saturday 11.30 there was nowhere open.
Property is aged and needs an update. Noisy during the night. Front counter staff hard to understand. Really not worth the effort.
Clean, quiet and comfortable. Very convenient location, close to Rundle Mall and the University.
The room was spacious and comfy with very good linen bed and pillows. although the bathroom was smallish with a shower over the bath, it was a separate room with solid door. Water bottles were supplied to the room. The breakfast was very good and the staff and service was brilliant. The location was great with the tram and train across the road. A 24 hour deli next door. The only thing that was a bit off was the bath was a bit tired.

Adelaide city parklands
Was good we had a Park lands veiw on 13th floor right above Parliament House & Festival centre.
Great breakfast. Helpful staff.
Clean room, great location, comfortable bed and got a great deal on rates
The place was very noisy. Had to have the a/c on to drown out the noise. Showerwas very small.
Loved it, great central location
Took a while for room service but best hotel we have stayed in for a long time
Great location. Found checking in very long- 2 staff for 8 groups( including one couple who just pushed in / ignored the queue! Inside- room was very clean and spacious but very dark curtains/ timber etc made it feel closed in. And I could not alter the aircon at all so it was very hot inside I did have a comfortable stay and would return to the Stamford Adelaide for accommodation
Bathroom door #1413 rotting (inside bathroom) and overdue for maintenance. Common enough in smaller and cheaper hotels/motels but we expected more of Stamford. Room Service meals were not only slow, but they were delivered almost too cold to eat. If we weren't so tired and hungry we would have complained at the time. Just one of the niggles of travelling that hotels should minimise.
The rooms are outdated and need a facelift. My room looked like it came straight from the 90's.
Great location and plenty of restaurants and bars around. Tram is right out the front and staff were helpful. I found it a great place to stay and was a main hub for pick-ups for day trips as well
The hotel staff were excellent. Unfortunately, there was a game on at the stadium, so roadblocks were set up preventing access to the hotel. It would have been good to know this in advance. The room was ok, but in desperate need of charging outlines for devices and the bathroom was in need of an upgrade.
Looking a bit tired. I took my luggage out of my car (no staff at bell desk) only to be told to put it back in and take car to the car park.
Central & Relaxing Place
Nice & Central to the city, close walk to casino, nice friendly relaxed place to chill out & relax, A1 service

.
Great location, clean, pricing well under comparable hotels. Car park is a very tight driveway but well fit in. Extended parking after checkout is allowed so a big thumbs up👍
Lovely stay, friendly staff. Bed was comfortable and lovely view of the city from our room. Would happily stay there again.
Easy to book, good price.
Lovely quiet room
Very outdated rooms for the price
I found the staff to be friendly but tge room had lights not working, the air-conditioning to loud, especially obvious through the night, the shower of 3 star standard. Lovely view from the upper floor and decent room service menu. Thank you.
My room was not serviced the first day
All good
Great check in
Swift and helpful check in Great breakfast Great view from the bedroom window
Great location highly recommend
The location was ideal, close to shops, restaurants and cafes.
.
Clean and convenient
GreT
Very convenient place to stay.
Close to Football dining and shopping
Nice place to stay, has everything that you would expect at a hotel. Buffet breakfast was nice with just enough to choose from. Staff very helpful.
Convient location in the CBD, nice rooms, great breakfast.
Smashing
Very nice! Only thing couldn’t control air con in room - very hot night - thank goodness could open window a little. Main Carpark fill - bit of a walk with a little one back to property.
.
Carpet was dirty and smelly. Aircon was noisy. room lights really need urgent attention. No parking facilties. Staff was cooperative
Staff-brilliant. Cleanliness-great. Condition of hotel-tired. Drive up to hotel carpark- frightening. Carpark cost- expensive. Where has the spa gone? Cant see Adelaide oval any more!
Great location. Easy check in and out.
Clean and comfortable.
We've stayed at the Stamford several times before. Great location, very clean. We had a bit of noise from the lift but it was tolerable. Phone in the room wasnt working though and even though i'd booked 2 rooms at the same time they were on two sperate floors- and you cant get to a floor without a keycard. I also couldnt check both rooms in my retiree mother had to check her room in. Just glad i didnt bring all of my kids or we would have been spread all over the hotel i'm sure.
Only thing was we stayed in room 1014 and the bed was too hard not comfortable apart from that staff and and hotel were great
One main Lift not working which constantly delayed up and down to room
It was clean, quiet and very central
Great central location however on lower levels was very street noisy still. Its very dated in alot of areas, breakfast was very minimal for $35pp with very lightly cooked bacon and limited other options left around 9am ish. Staff member who checked us in was quite blunt and rude. Wouldn’t be rushing back in a hurry
Good Experience
Very tired and outdated Hotel
It was clean and comfortable.
Great location and facilities
Close to Adelaide oval
Property is looking a little old and needs some modernising, however room was clean. When we arrived it was a 20 minute wait to check in due to influx of people at the 2pm check in time. Coming down the lifts in the morning the next day at 9:30am it took 7 lifts before we could get in one as every lift that stopped was completely full. It was a 20 minute wait to get into a lift as it took quite a few minutes between each lift along with not being able to fit in. Wouldn’t be good if you were needing to be somewhere by a certain time. The view from the room was great, looked onto North Terrace. Was a park view room. The window opened slightly as well which was nice for some fresh air.
The wait time for a lift was up to 18 minutes - no stairs. The tea and coffee did not get replenished, and cups were not replaced daily. Was told we could use hotel facilities after checkout, but upon checkout, that became difficult. Christmas Day, we were told nothing in hotel was open - yet the bar was actually open. Frustrating. For a Stamford Hotel, it was very substandard.
