Great location; great breakfast; very helpful staff
Great hotel
We enjoyed our stay and front desk help.
The location is perfect! The appearance of the premises is noble, beautiful plants! Parks nearby! Peaceful! Closed to the old city of Jerusalem, possible to reach a lot of attractions by foot. The receptionist was very informative, helpful, attentive. Breakfast was good. Could be more fresh fruits but it’s just my taste. The lemonade was very good! To my opinion the hotel needs some refreshing. In short words: I was very satisfied.
A very clean property that was located a bit off the beaten path. Very easy walk to the Railway Station for dining options. While it is possible to walk from the property to the old city, we opted to take taxis due to the heat and terrain.
Staff at reception desk were very helpful. The guesthouse is lovely. My only complaint is that there is no elevator and we had to carry heavy luggage up 3 flights of stairs.
After moving around Israel for a few weeks , the most discomforting stay with regards to feeling welcome was at the St Andrews Guest House. The property itself is beautiful and in some sense it does feel like staying in a museum, albeit the majority of the staff treat you as of you are invading their own personal home. Every entry into the property is greeted with an aggressive inquest regarding why you are in the hotel {and not in a friendly way}. I had a friend come by to pick me up, wearing slacks and a dress shirt, and the man at the front desk saw fit to follow him to my door and tell him he has to leave while we're trying to talk in the hallway. Every time I tried to get tea or coffe from the lobby, it was if I was trying to rob the hotel, with a staff member lecturing me about having it in my room, or asking me if I was staying at the hotel. All in all, it was a beautiful location and clean hotel, but the staff and their manners set the hospitality at a 0 out of 10I would not recommend it as a solo traveler, or generally as there are many similar options in the area
The place was lovely. The breakfast was wonderful.
Great place to stay in Jerusalem walking distance to the old city, the City of David and many more places. It’s a very nice hotel with super friendly and accommodating staff. Parking at the property make it very convenient as well if you are renting a car. Besides the hotel there is a beautiful path that used to be the old train tracks very easy to walk along. And the old train station has plenty of restaurants and options to dine in. 15 minutes away there is the Mamila shopping center and neighborhood with even more options for dining.
The staff were so kind and attentive. The room was commodious, and had a small balcony with a perfect view of the Old City. The building was surrounded with a lovely garden. We were very near many good restaurants, and walking distance to the Old City and to German Colony and other nice part s of town.
Was originally a church. The church still stands but the house was converted to a hotel. Very charming.
My stay was amazing. The staff was very professional, accomodations were extremly clean, breakfast was very delicious and different every day. Thank you very much, i will definitely return.
I chose St. Andrews Guesthouse because of the quiet, historical architecture, ambiance, location, and safety if offers. I was not disappointed. The room was cozy but had a clean, modern, and spacious bathroom, great water pressure, ecofriendly lighting (turns on when room key is inserted) and remote controlled heating. There are carpets on the tiled floor to help retain heat, comfortable bed and pillows, and exquisite views of the Old City. St. Andrews is around the corner from First Station dining, and right off the trendy Emek Refaim/German Colony neighborhood with several excellent coffee houses in a 10 minute walk. Jaffa Gate is a brisk 20 minute walk (through Mamilla Mall). I highly recommend for anyone interested in cultural, but modern experience of all Jerusalem offers!
Old colonial building, so regulating the room temperature is difficult. "Junior suite" is not a suite. Quiet. Helpful & friendly staff. Delicious breakfast with different offerings each day, though cleanliness/food safety could be better.
This place is wonderful. Location central to many places including Old City and First Station. Room is clean and tidy, staff very friendly and accomodating. Price includes a fabulous breakfast buffet and free parking. I will stay here again.
Perfection!!!
Immaculate, comfortable, friendly, delicious buffet breakfast and prime location. After two weeks with a tour and crowded hotels, we were delighted to spend our last days in Jerusalem in an intimate setting surrounded by gardens.
24 hr front desk was a life saver. Beautiful property.
Everything was good
This property is located in a walkable distance to the old city, and has restaurants within a few hundred metres. It is off the man road, so a quieter atmosphere, in a gated area with beautiful grounds and patios to relax. The rooms were immaculately clean. The large buffet breakfast has multiple options for choice of breakfast. The only downside is there is no elevator, so be prepared to do steps and carry bags if you are on the second floor.
