Great staff Clean Lots to do for kids very peaceful resort

I'd like to be more kind in this review, but to anyone planning a trip, you should be aware. The place is understaffed. Rooms are dated, but decent. No frills. Dirty restrooms in the hallways and pool areas (a major issue with our children being grossed out). Many "out-of-order" signs on equipment (drinks, games, etc.). Most of the staff that were there working seemed down and out of it. Owner was kind and apologetic about the wait for our room (we left for dinner and used the arcade to kill time). Who knows..maybe they're making improvements? Just not during our visit.

Ok. The owner knows this was coming.. as i told him im gonna blast a bad review. Here it is. I arrived at check in at 2 p.m. Check in was at 3. Ok ok i get it ill come back at 3. We arrived and was notified as well water park passes are not included in the room. Oh thank you for Charging me $35 instead of the $50 a person. It was supposed to be $105 for 3 people. I got charged $120.75? Why i dunno i let that go. Ok so 3 o’clock we come back room is not ready. Come back in 15 min. Ok fine. 45 min later still not ready. Ok now im gettind mad. 4:00 go back its STILL not ready. Now im pissed. Oh sorry were short staffed! Owner man. Its New years Eve! Do better! I go bacl AGAIN and they hand me a room key with my original room Crossed off.. now a different room number was scribbled on it. Yay fine. Whatever we got a room! Wait for it.. we go to the room and see the cleaning lady in the hallway in our room and She says just wait there til im done! WHAT! Now it is 4:45! We finally get to the water park at 5 p.m . Ready for this. The barhrooms Had feces and pee on EVERY toilet! Pee on the floor in the ladies room.. no toilet paper and of course NO soap to wash hands! Ok so lets get to the water park! It had 2 “lifeguards” one looked straight outta the slammer. Wearing slippers! And the other looked 12! No supervision anywhere as they stood at the towel table chatting it up and i watched one hit his vape and hold it in. This olace should be shut down! What a joke

Love access to the waterpark.

I have to say that if it wasn't for the staff shortage our stay would have been excellent. However, the staff that was on hand, was nothing short of phenomenal. Especially the woman that worked the front desk! Absolute super hero and handled herself with such grace under immense pressure that I found it amazing. I made sure she knew it also. They were at maximum capacity and I know that if they would have been properly staffed, all the other issues would have been non-existent. It was safe and my daughter had a blast. My family absolutely will be returning.

Great day for my four year-old daughter, surprised her with a waterpark. Every staff person we encountered was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely bring my family there again.

Property was average. Kids liked the waterpark. NOTE if you purchase through expedia, the water park is not included in your stay. You will pay $50 per person to access water park.

Nice getaway

Our trip was nice, but there were ants in our room and our blow dryer didn't work.

Don’t waste your time and money. Rooms need total renovation. Over priced arm bands for the water park that is in need of more of slides and pools.

We found (I have a picture of) a dirty blue bowl on the floor by the bed along with a used crushed cup. The floor wasn’t clean at all and the sheets and pillows looked as if someone recently slept in it without being changed.

This water park is definitely designed for little children. We arrived on a Friday and paid $120 for the water park alone for 3 people , doesn’t include the $200 for the room. Was told that I’d have to rebuy passes for the rest of the weekend which would have resulted in another 2-300$$. I’m not sure who is responsible for miscommunication but when I booked It was stated (through the Expedia website) that a resort fee was only 20$ per person. We then got to our room only to find that the pull out bed was full of crumbs and mini Lego’s as the previous people didn’t leave it for housekeeping to take care of. We were then changed rooms at no expense (thank god). Once we got changed we went down to the water park only to find out that the hot tub for adults wasn’t open 😒 very sad for this mama the next day after returning from an even we came back to find out that we had to get our room keys “recalibrated” as their system kicked them out. This was not stated upon check in. Now I will say that the front desk lady was very kind even for working 15 days straight. My 5 year old overall had a great time, my fiancés and I’s time on the other hand was just average. It was ok for the hype but definitely not worth the price.

All good except bathroom sink in room 117 was super slow to drain.

We wont be goin back... staff was rude... the restaurant wasnt open... the water park closed early!! Big waste of money!!

Fingerprints in the dust on the bedside lamp. Tub had not been thoroughly cleaned. Found items in fridge from previous guests. Rest of room clean. Staff friendly and very helpful. Found us a luggage carrier, as customers had not returned them to the lobby. Though busy front desk staff remained friendly and professional with customers at the desk and on the phone. Bed comfortable, room rate reasonable.

The splash area closed before we arrived so we figured we would play before we left but monday n tuesday are maintenance days which bummed us out a lot which included the arcade room. . Gentleman at the desk was nice and opened just the basic pool so the kids could atleast swim. Thank you for that.

Semi-rude staff. Didn't have food or drinks available but wouldn't allow food in the splash park Didn't have change in their drawers and expected me to walk and get change. Found one good employee to accommodate us but if it weren't for her everything would have been terrible.

No coffee in room or in lobby. Had to go out to get coffee in the morning.

No breakfast Coffee was in a vending machine None of the snack or drink places were open in the water park but you cant have outside food or drinks

The service was excellent and super helpful. The room was ok, you can tell its an old room with new paint cuz they didnt paint behind certain things. The shower hot and cold was backwards and there was no coffee maker in the room, which i feel is a must. We had called for a late check out but someone came to our door telling us we had to go not knowing we had a late check.out.

Giving 4 stars because the staff was so friendly, however the room was dirty. There was a used bar of soap in the shower, a residue ring in the toilet (where cleaning products had been used but it was evident it was cleaned properly), and there was dirt and residue of some sort in the tub. We kept finding hair ties and bobby pins on the floor that didn’t belong to us. The location was good (right off the highway with things nearby). We didn’t use the pool or other water features so can’t speak to those.

My 1st room my 8 year found bugs 2nd room the refrigerator was broken and full of water. 3rd room the fridge broken and nasty bathroom. So I decided to just leave and go back home. I couldn’t get my money back it was my first time there and my last. I guess you get what your. Money pay for it was last minute and everything was sold out.

Beautiful clean hotel, great staff

Upon arrival we were notified our 2queen size bed room wasn’t available even though we booked it 6 hours in advance. The clerk said she talked with the manager and would upgrade our room for the inconvenience. The room we were upgraded to only had one queen size bed and two child size bunk beds. I was traveling with a male friend making this situation awkward and uncomfortable. Management said it was Expedia’s fault and Expedia is liable for my refund. Please call me 859-618-5779

Overall set up of the hotel and layout was nice especially if you have a family with kids. I did not find it very enjoyable due to the main bed being dirty with visible things on the blanket. The room felt like a sauna when you first walk in and it did not have a waste basket. The cherry on top for myself was the shower did not warm up at all. Pretty decent place for kids though

Refrigerator didn't work in room and also remote didn't work for tv....also on Expedia it said it come with pool and waterslide but I had no Access to waterslide totally disappointed

Customer service was outstanding. The room was super clean and smelled great. Front desk was accommodating. My kids and I enjoyed our stay with no complaints.

Water Park is Way too expensive for what you get. Plus False Advertising... they advertise on their website 'observer passes' but when I asked for that they said they no longer offer it. Park closes at 9, and you better start packing up by 8:30 because Mr Butt Crack is blowing his whistle letting you know he's ready to leave! And Life Guards??? Yeah, no, just same guy with a whistle

Booked with Expedia, when calling to confirm reservation we were told the waterpark is not included in Expedia pricing. She said it would be $60 per person per day but would give it to us for $40 per person per day instead. It shows on Expedia that it is included so we called Expedia, they called the resort and then told us sorry, waterpark is an additional $60 per person per day! We weren’t happy and just decided we wouldn’t be using the waterpark and wouldn’t be staying there again, nor would we use Expedia again! We get to the hotel, check in and the manager on duty gave us two days complimentary waterpark tickets for our trouble as it does say on the website under amenities the water park was listed as is the lazy river. They gave 2 passes which worked out for us as it was just two of us staying for two nights. We loved it so much we stayed another night! The hotel itself has a pool that is included in the hotel stay, it’s just the waterpark that’s an additional fee. Overall we loved it and had a great time. My only tiny complaint is no microwave in the room, we had to go to the lobby and use that one. All in all we’d stay there again. Won’t be using Expedia again though!

DONT GO!!! Our 4th of July trip, here was horrible!! I paid for what Expedia said comes with the room. Which was water slides and amenities like a water park but they never used the words water park on the Expedia website just water slides. The hotel stated Expedia is displaying a different price. That their were issues with pricing and due to that they were forcing the customers to pay for the miscommunication between the two companies. Which is unfair especially when they are aware of the problem but choose to use Expedia to occupy their outdated rooms. The water slides were horrible they wanted an additional $60 per person they knew the water park was bad but they had no empathy for the lies and inconvenience. So I spent an additional $240 after booking a room that said I get those accommodations included. They forced us to put the swim bands on before seeing the water area. It was very uncomfortable in the hotel room and water area. Nothing about the property says vacation. The beds were uncomfortable I could not go to sleep. The drop ceiling squares were pushed up where u could see wiring to each room which was scary to see. Some sort of plaster was in the carpet in the hallway. My kids feel I should get a refund. The property has not been updated it was closed for 3 yrs to see how outdated everything was disappointing. My child bought a pop tart from the vending machine it was molded. No breakfast . No microwave in room. One microwave in the lobby that was dirty.

I liked that there were many options for the kids and the slides were just amazing. Maybe need a elevator to get up there because those stairs r like whoa. The younger ones had it. Tee hee. The arcades were terrible truthfully. We love playing games but half of the games didnt work and how much it was worth to play them...Ummmm..No Ty. But the rest of the experience was great. It was r very first time and we will be back before the end of the summer. 😊 By the way....i was very worried about the chlorine because if the comments. But to my family and i....we had no issues what so ever. It was perfectly fine 😊

Stayed during week, not many other people there. Property was clean and quiet.
