An amazing location just back from the beach, bars & restaurants. Fabulous room & balcony. Great facilties. Very 'boujee'!!

This is a wonderful hotel and a fantastic location. The staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and accommodating. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. The kitchens are perfect for an extended stay. We would absolutely stay here again.

The pool was fabulous! The location was away from the hustle and bustle in camps bay so nice and quiet, but still just a short walk to all beaches and restaurants. The breakfast was a nice touch! The fridge was stocked daily with breakfast items and you could cook on your own timeframe. Daily fresh bread and pastries were delivered daily as well!

Wonderful stay, awesome staff

My husband and I live in Washington DC and we went to Camps Bay/ Cape Town for our 10th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The hotel staff were kind, helpful, responsive and friendly. (They were all wonderful but we’d like to give a special shout out to Sinza and Yaerika!) The rooms are beautiful and the location is perfect. It’s close to the beach and walking distance of lots of beachfront restaurants. The hotel stocks the room daily with a variety of foods (including fresh bread, smoked trout, eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, avocado, and more). We are so happy we found South Beach Camps Bay—it was perfect!

W like but needs work

We had booked this hotel part of a bigger 3 weeks trip across Africa for a beach escape between safaris: the property is well located, overlooking the beach, modern building.However, the service delivered is a bit too "boutique" for the pricing: morning delivery of baked goods for breakfast at your door is nice but unpredictable...we had booked a suite with pool but discovered that it is sort of isolated from the hotel main building which as pros and cons. Wifi, remote controls were initially not working, pool was not heated, some sliding glass doors stuck: The property is visibly aging and the construction above during the day is sort of ruining the pool side experience...The common spaces are a bit cramped, the pool sides nice but bar service limited .If it were not for Charlisse (front desk) who saved the day every time with her attention and can-do attitude, the place would be a mess. Still a good hotel pick but it needs some work to justify the price warranted...

The highlights: Beautiful art throughout the property and lovely views of the water. The lowlights: Room condition was tired and bathroom could benefit from a deep clean. More in line with a 2 star property (US standards). There is no restaurant despite it being listed as an amenity and full breakfast included is yogurt, bacon & eggs in the fridge that you need to prepare yourself with limited kitchenware.

I loved that they had a garage to park in and the police station is right next to the hotel. 2 blocks to a lot of wonderful Restaurants with a beach view. And right across the street from to tide pools for swimming. I would definitely recommend here for anyone staying in Cape Town or camps bay.

What a cool place to stay.y wife loved it so much I tried to extend our stay a couple of days but the room was booked immediately the next day

It’s a nice boutique hotel with great artwork in reception and a real vibe. Location is fantastic for Camps Bay and the dining options and proximity to everything is great. Parking also a huge bonus. The biggest let down was cleanliness. The shower was covered in mould and you could smell it and see it. They didn’t clean the plastic around the shower and it even rubbed off on my foot. Also the communication around the breakfast could have been better. They told us when we arrived that they don’t have a onsite kitchen and instead we’d be given bread each morning (hung on door) and the fridge was stocked with breakfast foods that we could request for new items. It was basically a cook yourself breakfast. We didn’t utilise this once as we thought we were paying for a breakfast inclusive hotel

Great great hotel, highly recommend

Amazing hotel, they kindly upgraded my room and it was safe, peaceful and lovely. My one issue was that for the breakfast i repeatedly told them about my allergies and somehow they gave me the food containing my allergies.

Absolutely gorgeous, modern spacious suite. Patio with private pool. Another patio off the kitchen with a barbecue. Kitchen stocked with breakfast choices, complimentary. . Excellent location with view of the beach and sunset.. Fresh bread delivery in the morning. Delightful.

Great Hotel

Quieter part of camps bay which was welcome. Underground parking was good, easy walk to restaurants. Nice rooftop bar, staff were great. Room was very spacious, bed comfy and the fridge was well stocked with food. Nice fresh bakery items delivered each morning. It was my birthday the day we left so the night before they left some treats and put a lot of effort in decorating the bed! Great hotel with a Miami Beach vibe.

It’s nice but not a 5 star

Great location and nice rooms. The balcony unfortunately loooked straight onto the street no privacy. The pool bar was nice but the infinity pool is only about 4 ft deep and not nice water, the other pool was refreshing but not very clean, overall it’s a nice hotel but nothing special.

Property is in an awesome location and the rooms are quite nice as is the pool! They gave us a welcome bottle of wine too which was a nice touch and they were great at communicating and helping out!

Overall not a bad property. We stayed at two other properties in Camps Bay and this one was our least favorite. Location is great as it is right next to the beach, great view for sunset, and staff was great. Our room overall was good however it had an unpleasant smell, and when we ran the AC there was black dust that went all over the bed. To be fair we never notified the front desk, as we were only here one night - I am sure they would have fixed the issue. If you are looking for a place with a great location and walking distance to many restaurants this is a great place however the hotel could step it up in cleanliness.

We had an amazing time at South Beach. Extremely helpful. The room was perfect with everything we needed. We got a few special surpises and upgrades. 10 out of 10

Hotel is right on the beach and we had a beautiful view w a balcony. The refrigerator was well stocked with breakfast supplies and fresh baked goods would be hanging on our door every morning. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. The property is located near some great restaurants - we tried Primi (casual) one night and Codfather another/ both were fantastic and close to the hotel. We recommend reservations at Codfather since it was busy w locals which is how we knew right away it would be phenomenal. Also the hotel is close to Table Mountain, another must do.

Amazing property with breath taking views

The property is excellent

The service was excellent. Special request like food delivery or a request for a doctor (because of a previous safari illness) were met promptly. You get what you pay for, but we certainly good a very nice room and view. Anthony Maxfield, Victoria BC Canada

It is near the Theatre so we booked a show which added to the wonderfull stay. Close to everything but out of the bustle. 3 of the electrical sockets and the USB charging port in the room did not work but that was a small thing.

Nice small hotel very well organised - loved that we got a freebie drink too. Room was clean and big, and bed very comfy!! Breakfast was delish and way too much! Everyone friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back again! Thanks

Extremely excellent staff, I cant say enough about the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful from the moment we drove up to the garage. Beautiful resort with a great view. We got upgraded to a bigger room with a private pool which felt and looked like a dream house, but I’m sure other rooms are just as nice. Fridge is stocked daily with food/drinks. Good location, a short walk to everything…beach, market, restaurants, etc. The area and property felt very safe. Plenty of parking in secured garage.

Staff was excellent and accommodating to all our needs and requests. Property was as described in the listing and the location is fantastic. A swim in the Tidal Pool is a must. The Property rents powered scooters that allow for exploring all of beautiful camps bay.

The hotel was located in a great location in Camps Bay, a short walk to the beach and to nearby restaurants. Free breakfast provided to the room (make it yourself) as well. Easy access to amenities and laundry as well.

This hotel was the perfect for my vacation. Slightly off the beaten path so quiet enough for rest, but close enough to walk to nearby restaurants and bars. I would 10/10 book another stay at this property.

Stunning Camps Bay stay!

Fantastic stay at this hotel in the beautiful Camps Bay. Well located and well equipped, our stay was very enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

A great base for your Cape Town adventure

We were impressed with South Beach and, being fractionally away from the noise and occasional seaweedy whiff of the main strip, meant that it was perfectly located in Camps Bay (still the best place to stay if you haven't been to Cape Town before). It's also conveniently located for the tidal pool where you can swim in warmer water than the sea. And all of Camp Bay's bars, cafes and restaurants are still only a few minutes walk away. Staff were always friendly and helpful as well as politely vigilant about mask-wearing (which was good!). We loved having the mini kitchen in the room too.

This is the perfect embodiement of boutique hotel. Excellent level of service and the property is just incredible, with the advantage of feeling at home. Best place in camps bay!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel. We were upgraded which was wonderful. Employees were friendly and helpful. Room was lovely. Breakfast was great! We were supplied with all needed and cooked it ourselves! Area is fabulous and really enjoyed it!

Modern Boutique hotel with helpful staff

Great modern Boutique Hotel located walking distances from Camps Bay beach. Staff very helpful and friendly. Was just unfortunate that we experienced drainage problems with the bathroom basin and shower during our 1night stay.

We had a lovely time at South Beach. Beautiful sea views from our balcony. Relaxing drinks at the rooftop bar. Extremely clean rooms, sealed with tape to show it has been sanitized and clean. Looking forward to our next visit there.

Fantastic place in camps bay, excellent property. The suite, with private swiming pool is such a gem!

The property has no restaurant or food service. They deliver bread in the morning and stock some items in your fridge... We were able to use UBER EATS for food delivery, but was not expecting to do that. Bed was amazingly comfortable! And the steam shower was a huge PLUS! The pool on our balcony was very small... More of hot tub size.

Great room, great staff, great location

Spent three nights at the South Beach hotel. Well-appointed room, stocked with beverages and simple foodstuffs for breakfast (included in the rate). A 2-minute walk to the Camp Bay strip of restaurants and the hop-on/off bus stop, yet very quiet environment. The staff could not have been nicer or more attentive.

A very unique style for Breakfast that we liked . I’m vegetarian and the staff was very accommodating. Everything was perfect and I would definitely recommend them without a doubt.

The team at South Beach were so friendly and welcoming - we felt at home right away. The pool terrace is great and the rooms were perfect & spacious. Check in and out was completely stress-free too. Thanks to all that made our stay fantastic!

Due to passing of my mother had to cancel stay at hotel. Although the cancellation period had ended the hotel sold our rooms and gave us a full refund less a admin fee. This was greatly received and we will be looking to rebook this holiday next year Instead. Thank you to the hotel for there understanding at this Sad time for our family.

Excellent accommodation in ideal location

This really superb accommodation fully equipped for self catering came with breakfast foods and fresh breads all replenished on a daily basis. Well looked after by extremely helpful staff. It is Close to the beach,restaurants, theatre and facilities at Camps Bay with the advantage of easy access to the hop on hop off bus service serving Cape Town and area. Cannot rate this accommodation highly enough.

Our rooms were beautiful and very spacious. We had a gorgeous view of the ocean. We loved our fresh croissants and baguettes every morning. The staff could not have been more friendly. There were 8 of us staying there and everyone felt the same.

Great location and clean and comfortable. Staff was great. Did not expect it to be more like an apartment than a hotel so there wa no lobby area or restaurants in the hotel. But many restaurants within walking distance.

I enjoyed my stay. The only thing the hotel is lacking is a good size lobby to sit and relax and hang out. They only have a small reception area.

Why isn't every hotel just this one...

Great place, it's not a generic hotel room get that idea out of your mind. It's like going on holiday and taking your house with you. The room was incredibly spacious, included a big kitchen and a very spacious bathroom. Lets be honest we all hate continental breakfast... but with this place, every morning we'd get great bread and croissants at our door. This along with the constantly restocked fridge allowed us to make breakfast our way and not waste money down the strip.

Accommodation at its very best

Excellent accommodation, supberb bathroom, fresh croissants/bread provided Daily(7-30a.m). Complimentary food items restocked in fridge daily..cars are secure in garages..warm friendly staff, great hotel.. great location for travelling into Capetown,Chapmans Peak Drive , or the Cape. Restaurants just a short walk away less than 5mins...one of the best hotels we have stayed in!!!

Lovely self catering apartment

We were upgraded to a room with a balcony leading on to the pool. The room was spacious, had everything we needed and was very comfortable and clean. The fridge is well stocked (included in the price) and they bring fresh bread and croissants each morning to have breakfast in your room. The staff were very helpful and friendly and couldn't have been nicer.

Beautiful location between mountains and sea. Close to the 🚌 bus that tours the city which is a must. Your fridge is filled each day. Staff is great. Restaurants close. Just wonderful

This property is located on the beautiful Camps Bay neighbourhood of Cape Town, close to the ocean and wonderful restaurants, and an easy gateway to both the city centre, the waterfront, and the rest of the Cape Peninsula.

The staff at reception were soooo helpful and willing to do all they could to ensure we had the perfect get away, Hotel was located in a nice spot just a few mins walk from everything you need in Camps Bay. All in all, great service, location and beautiful hotel.

Although not the true “ocean view” we would have liked. It was so close you could hear the waves. This was made up for by the highly friendly and service oriented staff who attended to our every need with a kind and generous demeanor. Lovely hotel, lovely staff.

Perfect location

Such an amazing hotel. Suite no. 2 was particularly good as you had a terrace that then had access to a pool, this wasn’t the main pool, so it was like having your own private pool. The rooms are amazing with everything you need. Fresh bread and croissants are delivered daily and the fridge is topped up with breakfast goodies. The location couldn’t be better. We will definitely go back again. The staff are amazing and very helpful.

Fantastic apartment and location

From the time we arrived to the time we left , the service was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make guests happy. From arranging Uber’s to providing a fabulous in room breakfast each day, they also organized our preferred coffee capsules which were waiting for us on arrival. Great location too, close walk to cafes and restaurants. All up, a fabulous experience.

First class service!

South Beach Hotel is conveniently located across the street from the beach and a short walk from resturants and shopping. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a modern style with fantastic art and are well outfitted for self catering. We loved that the refrigerator was restocked with breakfast and snack items daily and that they delivered fresh croissants and bread every morning! The view from out room was fantastic. One of the best parts, however, was the staff who regardless of their job description went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. A special shout out to the front desk staff who went out of their way to make us feel catered to and pampered!
