Nothing worked starting with the elevator then the rooms have a kitchenette for no reason nothing to cook with a total waste of money

It was fine,just a quick over night stay.

Very outdated with dirty lamp shades and ripped, old furnishings. Half of our towels had hair in them. Smells old and shower head was so bad it was hard to shower.

Fabulous service!

On behalf of my mom and brother who stayed while mom was receiving treatment at the hospital, the staff was absolutely incredible! Dee and Mari (I sure hope I'm getting these names, right) are so sensitive and caring. They helped with a better room location when she couldn't walk well and assisted with a needed care package. Thank you so much!

Great quick overnight stay

Terrific location near City Centre. Very quiet surroundings. Very clean and comfortable property. I really enjoyed my stay.

Sheets were dirty and stain. Bugs were found in the kitchen. Doesn’t served breakfast. Room only get clean once a week.

Hotel is convenient however, our one night stay required additional cooling… a personal fan was provided.

Just a an average facility

The pictures on Expedia for this property look way newer and different than what i experienced in person. The lobby was small and the snack area was behind the desk and not set up like the pictures I saw. The hallways had a faint smell of smoke. Some appliances in my room were older looking then what was shown in the picture. The staff was helpful and very nice. The location is great and very convenient.

Refrigerators are inoperable and there’s No breakfast as advertised

I have actually never had to write such a bad review for anything but felt I had to this time to make sure other travelers don’t get duped into staying in the hotel. Unfortunately the positive online reviews didn’t come anywhere close to matching the actual experience myself and all of my colleagues experienced when staying here for a work event. I had to move into 4 rooms over my 4 night stay because of the poor condition of each room for different reasons each day. The first room on the first night was the first room in the entrance of the hotel since the hotel was booked. The light from the entrance came under the door and lit the room all night. Additionally, the refrigerator and air conditioning unit made loud inconsistent noise all night. The next night I asked to be moved to a 2nd room only to find out that the water only came out of the bath faucet and not out of the shower head. The floors were sticky and dirty, the toilet roll holder fell off the side of the vanity, blue masking tape held the mirror in place but they didn’t have another room to move me to. The 3rd night, they finally had a room they could move me to on the 2nd floor. I got into the room to find a large cockroach running across the bed. I immediately asked to move to yet a 4th room where I was finally able to get some sleep. Beware of positive reviews and stay away until they completely renovate this place. The friendly staff was the only thing that could be positive.

It was a nice area. Staff was also very friendly. However, you can tell this hotel is older and not as nice as it showed on the pictures through Expedia. It also smelled a lot like cigarettes which I don’t like. Will I stay around the area? Yes, definitely! Will I stay at this hotel again? No.

Dirty smoky room!!! Sweet staff!

My stay was actually not bad at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The hotel was in a very convenient location which was great for my trip to Houston. The staff was very pleasant and my room was fine. There were several time when a man (or men) were hollering "MARION" down the hallway several times the second night I stayed there. The person above me was stomping around all night long, very disturbing. I probably wouldn't stay again for those reasons.

Amazing Staff, rundown rooms.

As soon as you walk in, you are hit with the worst chemical smell that almost burns to breathe, almost like the whole place was sprayed with bleach. The front desk lady was amazing so NO complaints with the staff (they were wonderful and inviting). We got a room with the jet tub and the water came out almost green and there was dead bugs (plus the smell of the water). There were random stains on the couch, the chair, and in the bed. Since we drove over 18 hours, the power was out at our other hotel in Houston, and there were not many options within a 1+ hour radius, we tried to make it work.

Rooms are spacious and well kept

Charged for parking

They tried to charge me for parking despite me telling them that I didn't have a car and didnride sharing to the location.

The water run so low in the shower

The room was not cleaned. There was hair all over the bathroom, and the towels were not changed, there were hairs all over the towels. The bed linen was stained. The headboard was stained and filthy. The room smelled.

He stayed there for New Year’s Eve for a couple of days and had a very enjoyable time. A lot of restaurants and other resources to help you enjoy your stay. It has a great location and the staff was amazing.

I love that the location is so closw to everything. I have stayed here in the past and that how i fell in love with it, but with recent changes like charging for parking and now have to pay to do laundry. Also, it was cold and the heater went out in the middle of the night, but once i told the front desk maintenance came the next morning to fix it because he was already gone for the night.

The stay was good overall and the staff was very nice. Nothing fancy, but quite livable with everything I needed. I wish the staff had let me know that joining Simply Suites program would get much better WiFi performance. With out it is was quite slow. It was quite usable when logging into your program account.

First room smelled like fish - second room had no working air conditioning or telephone. I checked out. Appalling. The staff was nice but the property is awful.

The room was ancient and not very clean. We had a giant cockroach in the kitchen, which made us seek another hotel.

Short Business Stay

Check-in went smoothly. The room was sizeable, clean and comfortable. Located within walking distance to restaurants, and easy access to main highways made the location a ++. We be sure to stay on my next visit to West Houston.

Great Staycation

My guy and I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The location was great, not on the super busy streets, but walkable to restaurants and shops The staff was super friendly, super cozy room and very quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

It is obviously a rebranded, older Candlewood Suites. Still has popcorn ceilings. The suite was clean and spacious. I had a 3 night stay and housekeeping never came to my room. I had one small coffee pod on the first night and it was not replenished. Most importantly, my car was keyed along the entire driver’s side, hood and right rear fender while in a parking space on the parking lot at night. Although the hotel has posted signs stating that the lot is under video surveillance, the staff informed me that the cameras do not work. I realize that the hotel is not responsible for the damage to my vehicle, but I will not stay there again.

The room was wonderful. They look exactly how the picture is and it’s reasonable prices.

I like the fact that the property is convenient with easy access to a number of restaurants within walking distance.

I liked the front desk staff and they have good facilities and are located in a safe place. However, for the price, it's not up to par because the rooms were tiny, the TV was from the early 2000s, the room had an unpleasant smell, a queen-sized bed, and an old room.

Excellent location to enjoy the local area! This is a great hotel. Staff are lovely, rooms are as described. Lovely touches like nice free coffee and free laundry. The running in the local area is fabulous and safe. Walking distance to so many places for shopping and dining.

Sonesta Suites, Town and Country

The one room suite was fabulous and well designed, and I would certainly seek out Sonesta Suites for vacation stays. The bed was so comfortable it made me question whether it is time to replace my current one.

I recommend this hotel. Clean, big space, mini kitchen & comfortable bed. Very convenient to I-10 and less than a $100 per night. 5 star for this hotel!!!

Very kind and understanding staff. They allowed me to check in before the check in time. Also, the bed sheets and restrooms were really clean.

I enjoyed my stay at this property. My only criticism is that they didn't have any luggage carts available when I arrived. We had a lot of luggage, so we had tobwait for them to find them around the hotel.

I booked a non handicapped room in advance but they forced me to take a handicap room with didnt have any of the amenities I paid for. Totally unacceptable and i’ll never book using this service/app again

At around 3:30 am this terrible alarm started going off. Woke me up out of a dead sleep. I didn't know what was going on. I was terrified. I didn't know where it was coming from. I thought maybe my car was being broken into. I woke up confused and terrified. Finally it stopped. Horrible experience!

Room and property were clean, staff was friendly, and price was great.

It was an Ok place to spend a couple night trying to save some money but the place has cockroaches in the rooms, they don’t take any responsibility or even apologize for the inconvenience and lied to me about refunding a night with the Expedia team. They don’t clean the rooms if you’re staying less than a week there was also a water leak in the washroom and a horrible fire alarm that creep the hell out of anyone. Won’t go ever again.
