As it is a hostel, the walls between the rooms are thin and if somebody makes a noise, it could be an issue. Apart from that, the room was very cozy for a small person like myself. Proximity to anything touristic is very very good.

Staff was very helpful, they were able to accommodate my arrival time at 2am. Very clean.

Clean, airconditioning and located in the middle of the city

Wasn't able to check in because the man at the front desk was giving me a hard time about my credit card. I had to book a more expensive hotel, which ended up being a blessing in disguise. The attendant was not helpful. I do not recommend this place of business, period.

DO NOT STAY HERE

Do not stay here. They lock their doors and do not respond. My flight was delayed and I told them I would arrive past the 10pm check in. Doors were locked when I arrived and no one answered the phone. Have never heard or stayed at a hostel that closes their doors. Ridiculous. There are so many options in Barcelona, choose to stay some place else.

These guys are cheats,

they do not open doors when you want to check in and in spite of cancelling hotel room, they do not provide a refund. Hotel looks like a dungeon, small pothole, do not stay here. The owner is not customer centric and location is terrible.

Quiet and Convenient

My son and I had a private room and we were a lot more comfortable than one generally expects when considering staying in a hostel. We hardly heard any other guests and the room is equipped with a blind system to ensure a peaceful and dark sleep environment. The room was clean and basic for our needs. Convenient location to escape the loud tourists while still being in a great location to access public transport (metro, taxi, Aerobus to airport), as well as some great attractions in The Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas/Cata Plaça. The only annoyance is the staff that I checked in with was very rude to the guests before me and me. He had a bad attitude and wasn’t welcoming or helpful despite me speaking near perfect Spanish. I think he just doesn’t like his job or had a bad day- either way he was quite unprofessional. Besides that and overall I would recommend this hostel and I would stay again.

Good location, small room.

Room was not as pictured, very small, pretty much the width of the bed. Room however was quiet from outside noise, but next to communal bathroom. Bathroom and room itself were clean. Staff were not helpful. Overall fine budget place to stay.

Functional and central.

Basic room that was comfortable enough but certainly' no frills's. The bed was comfy and after a long day we slept well, although the communal bathroom for other rooms was right behind the head of the bed, so door slamming and bathroom noises were a slight issue. Also, the en suite had no functioning hot water tap, and the shower was more of a single, heavy dumping of water. At least they are honest with the two star rating :)

Robberies! Beware...

Three short points: 1. Robbery: The room next to mine got robbed. The two people who were staying there luckily had their electronics and documents with them. So they only lost clothes. However, it was one crazy experience to have cops arrive etc. The hostel does not have 24hr customer service so we had zero help from anyone. I was scheduled to stay for four nights. But I immediately checked out after the robbery (2nd night) and moved to a nice hotel (U232; which is excellent). 2. Rude customer service: After the robbery I asked to cancel my remaining reservation. The receptionist (very rudely) flat out refused. She actually refused to believe me that a robbery had happened. (I checked out at 8am and the folks who had been robbed were still sleeping.) So I said whatever, and just left. + I called hotels.com and told them what happened later. They sincerely apologized and refunded me the full amount. So, hotels.com you are awesome! 3. Shady rooms: The robbery notwithstanding, this hostel was really dingy, ill lit, and all round not nice. I booked a single room and it was very small, and the heater didn't work (it's November and pretty cold). Now it might be okay if I was starving and on an extreme budget. But for $30 more a night, you can get an amazing 3-4 star hotel. So keeping that in mind, this is a pretty bad deal. (I could rant on about details but there's no point). Overall recommendation : Do NOT stay here.

Very basic... Very thin walls and hard bed. Otherwise nice service from staff and clean facilities.

Useless

Terrible. I book this nearly a week in advance and when I got there no body was manning the desk. I had to explain and tell them I had booked a room for 2 nights to be told they don't have a room for 2 nights, only one. Then when I got in my room it was dead. No tv, no wifi either so I could watch to on my phone.

Quiet and small hostel in great location

I liked that the hostel was small and quiet. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Only thing I didn't like was I found hair on the beds when I first walked in. Wasn't a huge deal but could have been cleaner.

Small little joint

Room was super small and our double with attached bath was located right next to the shared toilet and plenty of traffic, people banging doors... Etc. shower head could not be raised higher. Lift is old and was spoilt when we were leaving so had to carry all the luggage a down. On another note, Staff were really nice and friendly plus location is good. But we did not sleep at all for all 4 nights thanks to other guests being inconsiderate. Rather frustrating.

Great stay at Somnio

Somnio was a great spot to stay in Barcelona, very basic facilities but perfect for if you're just wanting a clean and comfortable place to sleep. I was in a single room which also had a sink and mirror which was great, the shared bathroom near my room was always free and clean, the bed was comfy and the air conditioning was a great plus. There's no real common area to hang out in so not much opportunity to meet other people if that's important for you, but that was fine for me as I had other friends in town. The location was great, an easy walk to La Rambla and Plaça de Catalunya (where the airport bus stop and Catalunya station are) and very close to Passeig de Gràcia metro station, so all areas of bcn are easily reachable by foot or metro - good shopping and restaurants also nearby. I'd highly recommend Somnio :)

Not the WHOLE truth!

I booked this room because I was arriving at 10.30pm and leaving at 8am so it was not a big deal BUT the ONLY important criteria was air conditioning which it said it had - well it didn't and they simply lied to me and said it was broken - there was nothing to break!!! I got showed the other 1 bedded room in the morning which had windows and air conditioning so if you stay here make sure they don't give you the room with no outside or ac. Apparently the room I was given was a converted cupboard!!! In addition 3 guys were staying in the room opposite and got up to use the communal bathroom between our rooms at 5am - they left their door wide open and put music on full volume. The night porter should have come and told them to stop butt he didn't and i had to go and ask for a bit of respect. The desk staff were very kind, eventually they gave me back half my money but then I didn't sleep most of the night. In a great location and otherwise looked very nice

Somnio Hostel

Situated on a smaller street but at a very convenient location to walk over to the main streets (Passeig de Gracia and La Rambla de la Catalunya). Small elevator to bring luggage up, but we took the stairs most of the time at other times. Nice front desk staff who are very helpful. Double room with en suite shower was good, though it was a bit dusty. Requested for housekeeping, after which it was much cleaner. Will recommend for people who don't mind a smaller room, and who want to keep cost of accommodation at a lower level. Nice stay overall, compared to other hostels I've stayed in other countries.

場所が中心地にあるので空港へのバス乗り場にも近くて利便性が良く、シングルの部屋は狭いがバルコニーがついていて外の空気を楽しめるのが良かった。

Todo excelente, buen sitio en el centro de Barcelona.

Hôtel très bien situé, derrière l'université, près des centres touristiques. Personnel souriant. Très bon rapport qualité-prix, pas cher, notre chambre était grande, les lits confortables et propres. Salle de bain à partager. Je recommande pour les gens qui ne veulent pas payer plus cher, et j'y retournerai volontier.

La ubicación es excepcional, y la atención en el hostal es simple pero cálida. El edificio no esta en muy buenas condiciones, al igual que el ascensor. La habitación es pequeña, pero cumple muy bien. La ducha es bastante pequeña pero tiene buena agua caliente. No hay tv pero el wifi funciona muy bien. El aseo en general estaba muy bien, pero la cortina tenia un poco de polvo...

Recepción limitada en horario

Tendrían q dar café y té gratis, tener en cuenta q la recepción tiene un horario limitado (a la noche quedan los huéspedes solamente). Buena ubicación pero costoso por lo q dan.

Ottima posizione. Gradevole nel complesso (avendo una doppia uso singola con bagno privato). Non fanno le pulizie giornaliere della camera. Rapporto qualità - prezzo non ottimale ma ormai in centro a Barcellona è tutto caro.

El precio no concuerda con la clase de habitación 79,75€.Muy básica,pero bueno para lo que era,pasar solo la noche para dormir. Lo único bueno es que está Muy céntrico,muy próximo a la Plaza Cataluña,las Ramblas,Paseo de Gracia y bien comunicado con los medios de transporte.en General le doy un 5

Hotel très bien placé, à deux pas de la partie haute (beaucoup moins bruyante et plus propre que la basse) de la Rambla de Catalunya et du Passeig de Gracia (les Champs Elysées barcelonais). Si la plupart des chambres n'ont pas de salle de bain-WC privés (mais au moins un coin-lavabo), les salles de bains-WC sont quasiment toujours libres, car il y en a deux à chaque extrémité de chacun des deux couloirs qui desservent chacun moins de 8 chambres; leur entretien est assuré régulièrement. Le personnel est très accueillant et le café est à disposition dans le hall d'entrée.

Bra läge, enkel standard.

Om du är beredd på enkel standard med toa i koridoren och vill bo centralt är Somnio hostel perfekt. Frukost ingår inte. Hostelet ligger 2 trappor upp och hissen gammal och känns instängd. Läget är perfekt, gångavstånd till allt. Bra resturanger och god mat i närområdet.

Preisgünstiges Hostel in guter Lage

5 Minuten Fußweg zur Placa de Catalunya und las Ramblas. Das Zimmer sehr schön, für ein Hostel wirklich unschlagbar. Eine Kaffee- /Teekapselmaschine zur freien Verfügung und mehrere saubere Badezimmer in der Etage für jeweils eine Person. Wir waren sehr gut und für Barcelona-Eixample sehr preisgünstig untergebracht.

La habitación no se parecía en nada a la que aparecen en las fotos. Era pequeña, sin mesas de luz, y un baño que no tenía calefaccion

God til prisen og super beliggenhed

Jeg var kun på Somnio hostel en enkelt nat, da jeg blot skulle rejse gennem Barcelona. Jeg ønskede at have mit eget værelse og til billige penge da jeg netop ikke skulle opholde mig der, men blot have et sted at sove, og dette var præcist hvad jeg ledte efter! Værelset var super fint, renligt og komfortabelt - toiletterne og opholdsrum ligeså. Rigtig god placering ift centrum, metroforbindelser, gode spisesteder osv

Nie wieder!!

Ich brauchte nur ein Zimmer für eine Nacht und wollte daher gerne sehr zentrumsnah übernachten. Das Hotel, wenn man es überhaupt so nennen kann, weil es eher nur ein Zimmer ist, liegt nur 5 Gehminuten vom Plaza Catalunya entfernt. Das war allerdings das einzig Positive, was ich sagen kann. Das Zimmer war sehr spärlich eingerichtet. Ich habe lediglich ein Gemeinschaftsbad für alle Zimmer gesehen. Daher kann ich mir durchaus vorstellen, dass es zu langen Wartezeiten kommen kann, wenn viel los ist. Das schlimmste sind jedoch die dünnen Wände. Ich konnte kaum schlafen, da meine Nachbarn so geschnarcht haben, dass ich den Eindruck hatte, dass sie mit mir im Bett liegen würden. Das Personal war ganz nett. Im Eingangsflur gibt es eine Kaffeemaschine, die man wohl umsonst benutzen kann.

Hôtel bien situé mais cher pour passer un jour de l'an....130€ la nuit dans 9m2 c'est dur....heureusement y a la douche mais chambre à côté des toilettes communes c'est un peu bruyant... Manque aussi la télévision. Sinon c'est très propre et le service sympathique.

Gutes Hotel für eine Städtereise

Hatte einen drei-tagigen Aufenthalt mit einer Freundin im Zweibettzimmer. Die Ausstattung war vollkommend ausreichend für die Nächte und die Zeit, die man wirklich dort verbringt. Wir selbst waren viel unterwegs. Es gibt ein Gemeinschaftsbad. Es war stets sauber und mehrmals am Tag wurden dort die Handtücher gewechselt. Die Lage war auch super, da man zentral wohnt. In wenigen Minuten ist man am Catalunya, La Rambla etc.und die Metro ist auch in direkter Nähe. Alles in einem ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Muy bien para una noche. Estuve en una habitación para 1 persona con baño compartido. Cómodo para una noche, es como un apartamento/hostel

The location is fine, but the service is not nice. You don't feel welcome as you're greeted, and the staff is not helpful. You get your own key to the front door, which is good, but apparently the door is very hard to open, and no one guides you too how you open the door. One night be we're out till 11pm, and the staff is supposed to be available at the hotel until 12pm, but no one was there and it took us half an hour to open the damn door, and no one answers the phone. There are 3 bathrooms, only 1 with hot water. The pros; free coffee and cold water in the reception and aircon in the rooms. Not good for the price.
