Some of the furniture in the our room was quite worn out and had some kind of dirt all across it. It looked like there was gum or something sticky on the chair so we were unable to use the desk area properly. The mirror in the desk was also quite dirty. Everything else was absolutely amazing and beds were absolutely fantastic to sleep on. Thank you for all of the amazing hospitality and all of the services that were provided.
Great hotel
Lovely hotel. Great location. Staff fantastic. Very polite and so helpful. Food excellent. Would go back.
At the check in we noticed the bath was dirty , we mentioned to the staff but nobody did care to come and see us , the staff in general have no clue about service so I would take off the word luxory and charge less as rooms are in need of renovation , if you want to get to flic and flac center you need to take a taxi as the road is dark with no sidewalk, taxi in the resort will accept only cash , you might wonder why.. , and they charge 6 pounds for 5 minutes drive , the beach is full of little rocks and dead corals , boats are passing by very close to the beach that almost get you if you are in the water which is not deep , the 3 star are just for the food and spa.
Fabulous hotel with great service
Stayed in renovated Magnifique room Service is excellent - staff very attentive Room and other facilities very well maintained
Best Sofitel Experience
It was amazing. The staff were welcoming and very attentive. Certainly the best service in comparison to other Sofitel I have stayed in within Europe ans UK
The property was really nice and peaceful. The rooms were large and airy. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Awesome
This is an amazing hotel ! People are here to satisfy your needs and make your trip awesome!
Average
Food allergy was not noted. Communication was poor during the trip. Food was ok for our short stay. Would not stay beyond a few days.
Not as good as I hoped
I love other Sofitel properties around the world. They generally have great knowledgeable staff and really go above and beyond for the customer. I can’t say that for this place . I was unable to get any reservations at the restaurants and we were there over a week! That’s ridiculous and they should have tried to at least accommodate a beach dinner . I also was out in a bit so luxurious room when they had better rooms available. My room didn’t even have a working ac it was super hot the first night and we complained we stayed j. The room for another 3 nights. It was really difficult to get a taxi and the hotel didn’t do much to help us. Overall I would t recommend this hotel.
Could be better for 5*
Lovely hotel however the buffet was a little below 5*, as were the staff clearing tables to empty plates that birds were eating off!
Nice private beach. Service in the bars and restaurants was variable. Sometimes excellent, more often slow, and occasionally overwhelmed by guest numbers. Although well maintained, the property had the feel of somewhere that needed a touch more tlc.
Nice pool, shared with kids, but no pool bar l This hotel needs renovation. Choice if restaurants limited other than buffet.
A great address in Flic & Flac
Great hotel, practical rooms, helpful staff
It was better than I expected, I like it and I would recommend it to everyone
Great property and friendly staff!
We are from Mumbai and recently stayed for a week. (Early sep19). The proprty has most of the tick marks and I shortlisted after a lot of research. Its on flic en flak beach on the west coast. Clean beach and a good boathouse for all the key water sports. Nice rooms with views, wonderful garden area, pool area, and choice of 5 restaurants. The breakfast menu is quite varied and good. Would like to thank and mention Pravin at the breakfast restaurant for making us feel at home during the entire stay and Yash for helping organise the city tours . Great job both of you . Overall a great stay and would love to come back again !
the food menu could be improved and add more local dishes but they do go the extra length to serve to your taste if you request a meal
Overall very happy with our stay at this hotel and i would recommend it....reasons why i have not given it full 5* -Update electrics. Some sockets did not work. Advertise the great free boat house activities better. Provide a free shuttle bus into flic en flac or casevilla shopping mall. Buffet restaurant prices need to be lowered. Our total for taxi+dinner was less than the total at hotel restaurant. Advise: always negotiate taxi/tour prices Drop to 25-30% of asking price
Well the room is rather outdated the curtains had holes in them not just one a few when the sun shines on it the toilet cistern was continuously running anytime you flush it you have to lift the handle back up the room not cleaned properly sockets not working Breakfast was very poor bacon and sausages cooked the night before I saw it I went down for breakfast at 06:45 am the bacon was in a huge pile so was the sausages when I asked for it that’s when they try to heat it up for me on the grill plate Well I don’t want to carry on but everything was bad staff the lot oh they actually sent someone else’s laundry to my room 😂😂😂😂
Beautiful setting. Staff not always particularly friendly. Didn’t always get tea & coffee in the room replenished. The beach is stunning. Wine is stupidly over priced.
Everything was perfect; staff very courteous, professional and helpful. Hotel needs a bit of renovation. Breakfast was amazing and we enjoyed the variety of food including typical local items. Will return!
Beautiful location, friendly smiley staff. Loved the free snorkelling, pedal boats etc.
Lovely, friendly staff, great selection of food, clean and tidy, plenty of fresh, clean towels and immaculate swimming pool. Amazing holiday with my daughter and I. Definitely recommend... 5*****
The hotel is in need of a revamp. The buildings look old and delapidated. The food quality was very bad and overpriced ( breakfast and dinner bufffet as well as the lunches and room service menu). The Spa treatments, service, facilities and staff were excellent. The staff at the Kids villa were excellent. Although the facility itself could be improved with more planned activities for kids the ladies who ran the club were helpful, caring and went out of their way. Although the Sofitel is 5 star it doesn’t compare to the service and standard of other 5 star hotels.
Great service and beautiful destination with a lovely beach.
Lovely hotel but very expensive to eat in. Stuning location o a beautiful beach. Seating in the pool area was fantastic with double sun lounger beds, brilliant.
The staff were so helpful. I have to say a special thank you to Parweez , Ashima and Nawaz. The property however needs some fresh painting. All the staff were so helpful. Thanks again for a lovelty 13 nights.
On return to this property, the property is very old and needs renovations. Rooms smell heavily of mould, rooms dated, disappointed for a 5* hotel. Staff and activities were great, definitely 5* standards
Staff were approachable and courteous. We enjoyed the sea view from the bedroom balcony.
I like the clean friendly property. What I did not like was that everytime that the staff cleaned the room they left ALL the lights on. My room mate fell on the corridor because it was wet. It seems the gardeners watered the plants on the second floor and the water seeps to the ground floor. She could have been seriously hurt
The property was beautiful and we loved the beach, which was so clean and great to spend the day.
Excellent service, with nice staff . Position : wonderful
Fantastic view. Good location. Great sorts facilities. Restaurant is good. Building is old. Check-in can be improved.
Outstanding resort and spa. Really good selection of places to eat, you must try the Teppanyaki. Staff are very friendly and helpful, special word for Anais on the front desk, she is brilliant. The So Spa is a haven of tranquility with plenty of treatment options to chose from.
Fantastic holidays with 2 small children (4 months and 2 years old)
The hotel grounds and rooms are really good. The staff are generally helpful and friendly.
Very good hotel with an amazing staff. Everyone was helpful, friendly and the service was outstanding. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. The bed was extremely comfy and I had no issues with the room whatsoever. A really good hotel worth the money.
Staff and hotel excellent. All designed for a relaxing, comfortable break. Great location and good climate on this side of the Island compared to East side. Only negative was room aircon was old and not working efficiently. Spasmodic room maid servicing but not too much of a problem.
Excellent service for our anniversary. Bar staff could be more proactive at the beach
Maintenance is 5 years overdue and i am not certain that it is quite a 4 star hotel. But good location, excellent food and great pool.
Lovely place to stay
Lovely hotel with friendly staff that try to make your stay special
Amazing hotel with extremely friendly staff.
Breakfast was excellent and fresh. Every morning with a personal touch
1. All associates were excellent and went their extra mile daily 2. The entire property needs an urgent upgrade in terms of rooms, outlets, and lobby
Staff and property was awesome however the meals were very expensive, and I thought I booked all inclusive however it was not the case when i arrived there.
Few changes to perfection....
So this hotel is close to perfect but a few things can be improved. 1. Internet quality should be improved and especially on the beach. It was not consistent. 2. Had a late spa appt. The bathrobes were super small and I felt like I was being rushed out because everyone wanted to go home. At $100, for a massage..take the last appt with more cushion. 3. The food at the Chineae restaurant was just ok. Not much flavor. 4. The boutique upstairs behind the checkout desk is lovely, it needs a sign. I didnt know about it until I was departing. Otherwise the stay was great. I will be back again.
A very nice place to stay in. My husband and I just loved it.
Good family friendly resort
We had the best view from our suite literally yards away from the beach with unobstructed views of the ocean. The buffet is fantastic with good variety of dishes and the staff are happy to help keep the little travellers company especially Patsy and the staff at the ice cream and pasta counters. The Tamassa restaurant staff were brilliant at keeping the pizza soft for my little one with extra cheese! Any request is no problem for the staff and they are just too happy to help. The kids villa is good but the pool is not heated even though we were there during their winter. The sea was warmer to swim in. Given this is a tropical island you may find some small ants also occupying your room attracted by the beautiful flowers that housekeeping leave for you. Staff were happy to leave a spray to use when needed. The room did get very dusty after about 7 days ( we were staying 12 nights ). The level of housekeeping varied tremendously some days we would have good cleaning and others it would be basic. The main swimming pool was also not heated but it did not stop people from swimming in it. The spa is lovely and the massages brilliant - I had two and a facial and body scrub which leaves you very relaxed. An overall good family friendly resort in the best position on flic en flac beach highly recommended if Travelling with children and peace of mind that your little ones will be happy here.
Stunning location and the most relaxing place imaginable. Staff are hit and miss some are good and some don’t engage with the customer.
Astonishingly good
Incredible hotel. Stayed here with twin 2year olds and the hotel felt like the height of luxury combined with fantastic facilities for the kids.
Loved our stay - very helpful staff & beautiful setting. Pricey though.
Nice beach but old hotel
We experienced very good service att check in and staff in the reception was very helpful and friendly overall, unfortunately the staff in the restaurants forgot our orders several times which was very disappointing. It is a very old hotel that needs a major touch up, until then I would not call it a 5 star hotel. The hotel is more for families with children rather than for couples I would say.
Great place in paradise
It was excellent
Incredible hotel, flawless service and amenities
This hotel is on-point. Service is fantastic, Food is just incredible and would definitely come back. Exceptional hotel from beach, hammocks, pool. Very relaxing place with cocktails made perfectly.
Good food, Good spa! The beach was not great, no real swimming there, better to walk down the beach 10 mins to the public beach. The pool is big and nice but if you are a beach person, likely disappointed. The hotel needs to be re-done. Our air con dripped for days and only stopped dripping after management was called rather than front desk. Premma really took care of that issue for us. Some professional staff, most seem confused about what to do.
The hotel is really nice. The pool area is amazing, however the sea is not that clean as the river dumps its water in it so the color is more greenish than bluish. Hotel staff are ok, some are very helpful while some are a bit annoying. All in all its a good resort.
Not a 5 stars! In desperate need of renovations
The hotel is not a 5 stars as they say; nothing to see with the other Sofitel I have been. The premises is old and needs renovation. We only stayed there for 5 nights ( thank God was only that) but for the all 5 days, the pool was taken over by screeming kids and careless parents, no way you could find a quite spot by the pool. All the pool’s bed are accupate by kids toys and very often you see parents changing their kids nappies on loungers. On the beach, in many occasions I have seen member of staff reserving the best loungers and the same being unoccupied by clients for the all day. I wonder if they were expecting a tip in order to give to clients. On a sunny day, by 8:30 in the morning all the loungers were already occupied by towels, but you wouldn’t see any one using them for the rest of the day. The pool at the spa was out of service for the all duration of our stay. The only bar they have in the evening is taken over by uncontrolled kids, you could often see them taking their shoes off and screeming and throwing cushions to each other, jumping from chairs and table; a proper play ground. The staff were careless about all of that mess, but they were strict with some of the clients the dress code. The room was never cleaned properly, on our arrival the safe was not working and we had to call in order to be repaired. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was just ok. Staff is after tips all the time.
Wonderful holiday
This is a truly beautiful hotel with very nice facilities. Room cleanliness could have been abit better but overall it was a really great stay!
Amazing Family vacation
We stayed (We are a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 5 and 6) for 12 nights at the Sofitel in December and everything was close to perfect. From the moment we checked in until we checked out, the staff and the service was exceptional - the team simply doesnt know what to do in order to make you feel comfortable. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, the food is excellent (we were half board), the spa treatments very good (although quite pricy), the ladies from the Kids club (Brigitte, Anastasia and Loveena) were super caring with the kids, the pool, the gym guys... Absolute perfect place for a family vacation with great value for money (extras at the pool, drinks, alcohol are not expensive at all compared to other resorts), strongly recommended!
Not a 5 star hotel
Sadly this is not a 5 star hotel. We stayed at room 815, King bed family suite. Water leaking from the wall in shower room. Drainpipe of the shower room was clogged, requested but was never fixed during the stay. Requested to deliver some plates and spoons to the room for our baby food. 30 min nothing happens, phoned front desk, telling me "it is on the way". Waited another 30 min, still not delivered, phone again and tells me same thing. It took more than 1 hour to get delivered. Phoned concierge to book tennis court, being told that he will confirm availability and phone me back. He never phoned us, so had to walk to the front desk to follow up. The person at the desk helped, but this service quality is not what people expect at 5 star hotel. Also, not all but some hotel staff needs some training to smile. If you could clean the pond at reception area which is now yellow and green, that would give impression to visitors you are welcoming the visit. Swimming pool was very clean, restaurents were good. And water activity children liked it. Private beach was also good.
The Hotel room and facilities were great however the service was well below the expectation I had for a 5 star resort! Food was not the best (if you are vegetarian) we endeded up spending alot of time in the Hilton resort next door where the food and service was fantastic!
Excellent luxury hotel in a quiet location. Friendly, helpful staff fluent in French and English. A great beach and water sport centre. Extensive gardens beautifully maintained.
Fantastic location - upgrade was very much appreciated and very nice surprise. Service in restaurants is slow and could be better but overall great stay
Would go back in a second.
Our recent stay at the hotel was an experience; all positive. The location is perfect in terms of being close to the beach and to the town. Most importantly, the staff were not only professional but very welcoming. The breakfast portion was the perfect way to start each day; one person in particular went out of his way each day to ensure we were always taken care of. Arvin; thank you. Though we spent much of our time at the beach; the pool deck along with the lounge chairs was a great way to end or start the day. Also, we played a round of golf at Tamarina which is a 15 minute drive from the hotel. Blue Bay which is an hour drive took us to a very secluded beach with crystal blue water and white sandy beaches. There was never a shortage of things to do. Coming from Toronto; it was a long journey but as I look back it was worth it. During our last few hours at the hotel before we were departing for the airport; we were already feeling sad to leave. Yet, all good things must come to an end.
Amazing stay
Our stay at sofitel ( flic en flac ) for four nights was really amazing... checkin was smooth and everything that followed was great... the property itself is very well planned and situated on one of the best beaches in Mauritius.... there are lots to do in and arounf the hotel.... swimming pool, gym, boat house offering diving anf other sea activities... special mention to all staff, they take care of the guests very well.. we did our first scuba diving with nemo diving centre arranged by sofitel and we really enjoyed it... highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back here again
Good Hotel & Location
Enjoyed stay in the hotel. The Al la carte restaurants were dis- appointing. The main restaurant serving a buffet meal had in part reflected food cooked too long prior to eating. Beach restaurant good.
Room outdated, requires renovation, sink drainages-blocked. Everything rest was satisfying, but not impresive. Breakfast buffet was lovely. A bit far from nearest village restorans, have to take a taxi everytime, it was time/money wasting.
On the beach. Good facilities ... some are free.
Good food variety. Ran out of shampoo ... staff do not replace empty bottles as they should. Charged for water at dinner even when paid for full board .... this should be included with the dinner. Laundry VERY expensive !!
A dream holiday
It was a real super holidays. Sofitel a notch above all. On the beech, luxury comfort, nice pool, close to dolphin sighting area, nice weather good drinks and hotel shack around.room was clean and the quality of service was classy. Hermes toiletries clean towels and beech towels were provided. Full access to all games. Only minus is tht it is a bit away from the flic and flac market and to walk down is not possible. Hotel taxi are ought to be expensive else the meals at hotels are expensive..
Nice hotel, nice beach and nice grounds
We stayed here for a short time on B & B but hotel could do with other options like all inclusive. The hotel room , staff and grounds were great and on a lovely long beach. The nearest shops were distance away but closer if you went on beach. I would stay here again if the options were to improve as mentioned above.
No good for swimming, lame area
The beach is shallow and stony. No one swims there. The east coast offers much better coastline. The water activities where never available to us because it was either low tide, too windy or the waves were to high. The flic en flac area is uninteresting and a long drive from most places. Next time we would stay on the east coast or at grand Baie
Excellent Hotel
Nice private beach and good pool. The room is very good and the facilities are excellent.
Lovely hotel right on the beach. Amazing sunsets
Overall very positive. Excellent food, great water sports activities, 90% of which are free. Tennis courts need an urgent upgrade, as does the table tennis table. Room service is awful, however, had to ask 3 times for a couple of drinks to be brought to the room. No late check out was offered to us, but we could use a room to shower in before we left for the airport. The hotel invited us to attend a beach party and gave us two wrist bands. When we asked for a third band for our 9 year old son, we were told children are not invited. You either invite us all as a family or don't invite us at all, especially as it's a family resort.
Beautiful four star, kids friendly hotel.
Very friendly staff. Lovely breakfast and dinner Buffett. Great beach, amazing pool, kids friendly, we had a two year old with us, staff were very attentive towards us, good kids amenjties. Lovely cocktails, very good fish restaurant.
A well ran hotel which is literally on the beach.
Very welcoming and caters very well for our needs. The complement daily bottles of water and chocolate and the varieties of teas ans coffees were amazing.
Included everything that we wanted and needed!
We loved our stay here. From the warm welcome we received until the moment we checked out. ALL the staff was fantastic, friendly and accommodating. We loved the privacy of the beach and found all the facilities very relaxing. Food was also great with a big variety to choose from! We also had massages in the Spa and they were AMAZING. The therapists had great skills and gave great quality treatments. We stayed there for 5 days and did not need to leave the hotel once to go to town as it had everything. A beautiful hotel with a great beach.... exactly what we needed for a break from our busy lifestyles and work schedules to get some much needed relaxation! Would definitely go back!
Hotel was good. The choice of food was not good
Nice hotel, big beach
Nice hotel, smiley staff, beautiful and calm beach, big garden,
Same breakfast everyday
Staff at reception were very helpful. The hotel location was great and has a long beach to enjoy. However, the variety of food provided by the hotel is very limited. Every day has same breakfast with flies everywhere on the food-not a 5 ⭐️ hotel standard
Great hotel on the beach and close to village
My stay at Sofitel, Flic and Flac was truly amazing, you couldn't fault any aspect about the hotel or its location. The service and extra detail to customers needs was exceptional.
idyllic scenery, wonderful sunsets
Booked in as part of a wedding party. Nice uncrowded, laid back atmosphere especially around the hotel's beach area. Look for a special deal or expect 5 star prices. Worth getting the 1/2 board deal rather than B&B unless you fancy the 30-40 min walk or taxi (£5) to the nearest eateries in Flic en Flac village. The hotel offers a good choice of Mauritian style buffet as standard and for a small additional cost worth sampling the sea food restaurant on the beach and the oriental option. Take advantage of the snorkelling trips and other free water-sport options, Definitely worth paying £20 for the dolphin trip in the nearby bay. There is a nicely designed pool which is the centre feature of the hotel and around which the restaurant and bar area are wrapped..The bar is comfortable with good evening entertainment. Our sea view room was fine but not spectacular, though right on the beach. Friendly and pleasant staff.
Great Staff - outdated resort, bad food
Staff is awesome - the facilities (beach, pool, activities) are all top notch. The issue with this resort is the following: - Buffet Food sucks- not 5 star at all, lots of choices but they all taste bad. Reserved restaurants such as Ming court is MUCH MUCH better but the portion/price puts it off. The dining area for buffet is also overrun by insects on food, birds etc. so go early if you don't want to be disgusted. - Rooms are very old and outdated, our room smelled like sewage and had very tiny ants (don't leave food, sugar, coffee out). Definitely not 5 star
Great family hitel
Hotel is very beautiful , asian architecture and lovely huge gardens. Staff welcoming , breakfast very good. Pool and beach are nice.recommend it if you are going with your kids
Excellent Resort
Very happy with our stay at the resort plenty of activities to choose from & the staff were extremely helpful. Many different types of food available & the breakfast buffet was our favorite. Geraldine from Expedia was able to assist with our return airport transfer as when we had originally booked it had only included one person...
Great location by the beach.
Layout of the hotel complex is excellent although the rooms are a little tired and dated. My room was double booked although I'd paid in full which was very disappointing so a bad start. Staff a bit robotic and inattentive. Cleaning was very hit and miss. Restaurants overpriced and unimaginative as no competition.
Very nice hotel and close to the beach.
enjoyable stay and very helpful staff. All requests frop extra service were attended to promptly. Brerafast staff wer excellent
5star hotel
very nice hotel at a good location, alittle expensive though if not staying full board
Peace, romance & hospitality
Over all a good experience. Rooms could be cleaned faster by the house keeping Food could be more suitable for all nationalities
Great location
A beautiful location and the hotel room was clean, although our room was overlooked for cleaning for a day as the staff thought we were moving. The food is great, but overpriced.
Family Holiday
Wonderful stay will definitely be heading back there soon
Loved It.....
Hotel was Very nice and the staff where amazing... Beach was very relaxing and the hotel offers free water sports and Glass Boat "advance booking is required". The Wifi is not that great kept on cutting but who needs wifi when you are there to Relax!!!! Recommend renting a Car if you want to visit the island There are many attractions and the Market in Port Louis is a Must.
Fantastic hotel on a fantastic island
Not a bad word to say about this place. Beautiful setting, right on the beach. Hotel and grounds are amazing and very well kept - garden areas with four poster beds are just heaven. Took a walk up past the Hilton - really glad we picked Sofitel. From what we could see, much nicer beach and garden areas - and cheaper too. Hotel staff are amazing, make you feel very welcome. On site restaurants are good, if pricey. But its only 400 rupees in a taxi into Flic & Flic where you can eat in some great places for a fraction of the price.
The best 2 weeks!
This hotel is amazing and has everything you need to relax and do water activities for 2 weeks. On top of that the food is just great and different every night!
Nice hotel with awesome sunsets
The hotel is located far from city, it is one of last in a row. Hard to go outside without a car or taxi. It is an old hotel, but well maintained, well cleaned. Rooms are smaller then they appear on photos, as a lot of space is used by bathroom and wardrobe area. Some water facilities in our room was partially broken, like toilet - water flushed always unless you raise washout's knob. Everything else was good, except food and beverages: with BB only, we estimated highly overpriced food and drinks. But we'd found a nice restaurant in 5 mins drive and used it for dinners. Also restaurant stuff was slow, especially on breakfasts, when you could not find a glass for some juice or smoothie, or even find a smoothie. Anyway it was a nice holiday time!
Nice hotel Lovely beach and water sports
Lovely hotel Staff don't appear enthusiastic Poor service Very nice beach
Many service issues
Hotel appears to be under-staffed and staff training is inadequate. Room service was terrible.
Beautiful hotel very well situated.
Highly recommended. Great rooms great staff. Great free activities.
Overall it is very nice hotel close to the beach
Nice and clean beach, nice swimming pool, could attend many activities (most of them are free) including snorkelling, glass bottom boat, etc. Breakfast is good and has a lot of choices.
Great Hotel... But
Great Hotel, except for a few small issues is communication where we were not informed by the hotel that at night pants and closed shoes is mandatory... Although it's a beach hotel
Very unprofessional service from reception and concierge, despite we asked them several times in advance, they did not organise a car seat for our 4 months old baby for airport transfer. We wrote a comments to reservation manager few days ago and so far she did not answer.
Not 5 star by any stretch
This hotel is 3*-4* and does not live up to its 5* billing. The beach and pool areas are nice, but the rest of the property is dated. Other elements such as cleanliness, staff attitude and general facilities are all pretty average. Seems the downturn in the Mauritius tourism industry has led to the hotel operating on a tight budget and simple in-room amenities such as drinking water, toiletries, coffee/tea etc are tightly controlled. The in-room air conditioner also seemed old and was struggling to get below 23C which meant some pretty balmy nights. There also seems to be a shortage in staff e.g. the reception desk was not staffed when we due to checkout and we were told to wait 15 minutes while the on-duty person had gone to have dinner - something you would never envisage at a 5 star hotel. Some of the staff were really nice, but some really lacked professionalism and seemed too laid back. The spa is nice and quality of treatment is good, though on our last day I was told I wouldn't be provided with a towel for the steam room and should bring my own - bit of a slap in the face given the money we had spent to stay here. Also had issues with the restaurants as the hotel apparently has a policy that male guests cannot dine in casual attire at dinner and as such I was turned away. However, one night I spotted someone wearing shorts and a baseball hat enjoying their meal - this left me feeling victimized and upset, something I wrote to the hotel about, still awaiting a reply.
We visited the resort with our 2 kids, came from Turkey and stayed there for 4 happy days. The resort has a vintage beauty. We arrived there early, after a long, exhausting flight, but, the hotel was full and they couldn't give us a room before 15:00. However, they were kind and sincere and tried their best to help us. We tried the main restaurant and the snacks restaurant by the pool. Breakfasts were accompanied by beautiful birds and dinners by mystical frog sounds. Food options were mostly spicy, a little different for our taste but we didn't struggle finding options, more importantly, for the kids. They were very helpful changing the listed menu item and preparing foods according to our taste. My husband once had allergic symptoms, but the staff was very helpful, and stayed alert to bring us to the hospital quickly in case of an emergency. I wouldn't say that they were extremely professional because, in a place full of coconut trees, they said they "may" provide it only after 3-4 days. The pool was perfect for kids, the sand was beautiful; while you are chilling, kids can play safe and free. The boutiques were also nice with honest sellers. We stayed in a villa, upper floor, the garden was dreamy (but saw a dead bird not taken for days). Our room was beautiful, moderately clean, bathrooms were tired, the main bed was comfy but the sofa bed was NOT. Bottled waters provided once and should be filled using fountains (kids loved it). Overall, it was a nice experience for us.
