Fun times
Had a great time. Cheap but friendly staff and good breakfast
They say you get what you pay for, but that's not the case if you book the Snowy Mountains Hostel. The website advertises a public bar, bistro, and pool table, but none of those were available during our stay. They say there's an indoor pool but we couldn't find it. We would have asked reception where the pool was, but it wasn't manned, at all (the website said it would be). There was a sign at reception that said "call this number if there's no-one at reception" but no-one answered (well someone did eventually). The website says they have WIFI, and they do, but only in the sad, lonely unmanned reception area. The TV didn't work. The rooms were dirty and dated. The bed was uncomfortable and the linen looked dirty. There were only 2 power points, I had to unplug the heater to boil the kettle. Overall I can't express strongly enough how much I hated this hostel.
Our room located below dormitory rooms full of school kids. Lots of noise transfer into our room. It took 20minutes after turning shower on to get hot water,
The room is extremely small and inconvenient, however it was clean . The breakfast was absolutely revolting . Event to think about it make me feel sick !!!!
Pretty awful
Terrible place to stay for the price. Haven't seen anything worse than this Australia. Rooms were most likely constructed in early 20th century and zero modernisation took place since then. There wasn't even a single chair or stool to sit on. So, basically you either have to be in your bed or stand up all the time. They didn't even bother to put 2 bottles of water. No kettle or tea bags, no toaster, no microwave and just nothing at all. You are basically paying for the bed only. Bathroom door was broken and waving in the air. No wifi and breakfast was terrible as well. Restaurant chairs were steel chairs which perhaps were cleaned month ago. At $350 per night I'd give it 0 rating if that was possible.
Location is excellent but, be warned this is more for backpackers or big grps with a low budget. Bunk bed/dorm rooms. Very old furnishings, obvious daily HK is not staffed. Dust in rooms. Breakfast is army mess style. Scrambled eggs (cold), bacon, tinned mushrooms. Food leftover is saved for the next day. They would survive if in a city, food hygiene is obvious. Service needs to improve, show care and a fresh continental breakfast cooked fresh would suffice. The bistro/whole centre is 70's decor needing a refresh. Suggest a refurb the owner needs to step it up. Lack of interest can be seen througout the venue and staffs demeanour. ONLY positive hot water for showers. Would not return again unless some changes occured.
I booked & paid for my accommodation on line,as instructed by the staff member I spoke to. Upon arrival,I was told my booking hadn’t come through from Wotif & they’re we’re not rooms available. I was basically told bad luck & try ringing some other properties in Jindabyne,to which I had no luck,& was left having to sleep in our car. I’m still yet to receive a refund & an apology, very disappointing.
Staff were polite and helpful even though they were very busy. Room was clean and tidy and most importantly it was warm. This is budget accommodation that is close to the snow and gives families an affordable option to enjoy the snow.
The sauna they advertised was out of order. The pool was cloudy and dirty with damaged board across the sauna. The room was terrible. The curtain was vroken on one window there wasn't a curtain on the other so the outside light ahone straight onto my pillow and kept me awake all night.
Wow what a dive It had dirty bottom sheets, no top sheets Soon as we’re over 30 years old The springs in the mattress were that bad I had to sleep on the doona to stop the springs digging into me
Probably the worst customer service I've experienced. Check in was late & staff member just casually laughed it off. A guest was berated for asking for an extra piece of toast. Our television didn't work. The one dinner we ate from there was lukewarm when it came out and the dining room was cold and dark. We decided to leave a night early as our house was a couple of hours away & we had finished our snowplay early enough. I wouldn't go back there
Fridge , TV , lights did not work.Very cold and dirty
Good Like back packers ect Everyone made an effort with what they have there If you are looking for luxury you wont find it here Yet luxury up there is like a thousand bucks a night
Couldn’t check in
Staff are incredibly rude. World worse to deal with again. Would not recommend.
Warm room. Close to perisher. Breakfast was good.
The room is old and bed was so hard. But you get what you paid for. You’re only there to sleep after a tiring day at the slopes. The room is warm but beds are not comfortable. The breakfast was good. Friendly staffs. And they had drying room for snow gears and that was good. Overall our stay was good. Still recommend this hotel.
To be fair the accommodation is basic but is sufficient for people who just need a bed to sleep in and breakfast to start the day. The rooms are basic without even a chair to sit on. The TV is of miniature size without remote so could not get it to work. The shared bathroom is a pain especially in the morning when all need to use the toilet. No WiFi.

best price in town. clean and neat place, randown areas at location. acceptable considering the price. not some where i would stay taking my wife but for the boys or kids who don’t care and just need a bed and shower. it’s fine.
