Great Hotel, the swimming pool it is a must near to the city center and with espectacular views
Staff was super helpful and friendly especially Tomaso in the bar and I can’t remember his name but he was the valet
Excellent service and location with a very friendly staff.
Grand old hotel, excellent service
Traditional and grand hotel in superb location in the historic centre. Excellent service in all areas. Facilities/room not new but all fine. Pool area is in the basement but is a nice relaxing space under the old arches.
Great staff and wonderful location in the heart of the historic center.
Loved this property and location
misleading
5 stars on paper. In practice, looks like they left it as is from the previous millennium. beds/mattresses are hard as a rock, shower leaking everywhere. mirror in bathroom about to fall, wind whistling through windows all night. Every time a door closes in the hallway it feels like your door is abouts to burst. breakfast... cold scrambled eggs and bacon. dry pastry. parking... They state that parking is available, but they don't mention that it's quite limited in capacity and that you should call firsts to verify... the best they'll do then is to give you a €4 euro discount for a public parking that is located down the mountain.
Clean and nice rooms
First class hotel. Stayed two nights and would go back. Great location for walking the old town area. The view out of our room was spectacular.
The room was very small. And the shower leaked. BUT the hotel is beautiful and the sauna and swimming pool incredible. ALSO delicious breakfast
Perfect Perugia
Perfect location for short stay!
Great location but running it on the cheap
Hotel did not have AC. They can only do heating or cooling and they decided to switch over to heating. It was nowhere near cool enough for that and we had to have windows open and they brought us a fan. Lots of noise and a bright room. The hotel also charged us $60 because we had our two kids with us even though we had a suite with a pullout couch. Woman at front desk was super rude about it. It’s a great location and cool old building but they are running it cheap and nickle and diminish you.
I got sick and they were very accommodating with letting me stay beyond my scheduled departure date, even though they were fully booked
Very nice hotel in a very nice city
Great hotel in a great location in Perugia. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our room on the second floor was spacious, well equipped and had a gorgeous view.
The hotel is in a great location. However, the waiter we had at COLLINS, the hotel’s marquis restaurant, was a real jerk. We were the only diners until one more couple arrived with their grandson but for 20 minutes we were the only folks in the dining room. Unlike other waiters everywhere in Italy, this waiter either hates his job or hates the customers. We used our sub par Italian to order and he rebuked us and said to use only English because our Italian was not understood. How could he not comprehend phrases like (vino Rossi, vino Bianca, or aqua mineral natural. He was a jerk. He treated the other couple with equal indifference and surliness. As for the rooms, they were a bit snappy BUT the worst was the bed in each of our rooms.. It was so hard that Torquemada must have built it for the Spanish Inquisition.. The air conditioner did not work and no one would fix it. We were told that the rooms felt cool enough. No one could explain how the television functioned and a simple request to demonstrate the volume control was met with an incredulous, “ we don’t know, just try different things.” The worst was the last night when the water didn’t work. We had no water from 11 pm until morning. At 11 pm I called the front desk to inform them that the water did not work and the front desk man said” We are aware and we will try to repair it”. We did get an accommodation on the bill for the water night and an early check out but only after making a fuss. Pricey and Bad
Wow stunning hotel! And great location to see Perugia.
Beautiful spot, excellent staff and service. However, the wellness area was out of order and our room had no water for most of the evening we were here.
Perfect location. No dislikes.
No
Super lovely warm and friendly staff Perfect location for lively Perugia Simply only option when visiting Perugia
Great location, awesome staff and property is nice, old Italian palazzo style
Nice hotel. Very convenient. good staff nice bar/resaurant Difficult parking on check in due to Jazz festival. Would have been nice to have advance warning and parking solutions
Excellent location
Sweet suite upgrade!
Wow! This is my second time at this hotel, and it is absolutely beautiful. I was upgraded to a suite on check in, and the room was absolutely beautiful. Excellent view. Our only issue was that the town was preparing for a Jazz Festival. It was difficult to drive to the front door to the hotel. However, the bell staff could not have made it easier for us. They took care of our car and bags, and all we had to do was go to our room. This is an historical and very beautiful hotel in a gorgeous city. I highly recommend it to anyone.
Wonderful hotel, the location and staff are wonderful! the breakfast is very good also and the room is quite nice!!!!!
Center
Super location. Super hotel
Elegant hotel in an excellent location for sightseeing, shopping, and dining in Perugia. Our junior suite room was large, immaculate, with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of offerings. All staff members including front desk, breakfast staff, and cleaning staff were helpful and polite. We were particularly grateful to Hicham for his help multiple times with our car and bags. Highly recommend.
Great location and view, firm beds and pillows
Great location, front desk and breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful (dinner staff not so friendly). Beds and pillows were firm/hard. Room was large and had a beautiful view. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh, and there were some good gluten-free options too.
Lovely hotel in Perugia
This is a lovely upscale hotel in Perugia city center. Walkable to tons of shopping and restaurants. There was a medevil parade going on when we arrived so we were unable to drive up to the hotel. The walk to get there was long and incredibly steep so we were unable to get our luggage in until later in the evening. Oscar at the front desk was very kind to a slightly hot and irritated guest (me!) and made the situation so much easier. We ended up very much enjoying the parade and although it was a slight inconvenience was no reflection on the hotel. There is a very cool underground pool and sauna. We had it to ourselves the entire time & it’s a don’t miss!! So cool & nice to relax after a day of exploring. The breakfast was very nice, a ton of options and great service. Definitely recommend!
Both the service and hotel were 5 star.
Incredible location. The front desk gave us recommendations for dinner which was very helpful. La Taverna was a wonderful meal with incredible ambiance.
Excellent location in the old town, with great views and a myriad of different dining options close by. The hotel itself was also excellent, with good service and amenities.
Magnificent and everyone gad been so helpful! It is a pity it was only one night I will be back
Nice and clean and well situated to explore Perugia. Great breakfast.
Awesome staff, unique historic property, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and perfect location. I will be back soon!
The wellnesd center was nice.
The Brufani is one of the oldest hotels in Perugia. The location is very centrally located, yet up on the Hill so not too congested. My room was a bit tired looking from a design standpoint, but it was an oversized suite overlooking the entire valley below and a medieval tower just feet away. Ask for room 138. They also have a lovely outdoor terrace for the perfect place for an aperitivo. The included breakfast is wonderful and the staff fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel. And stay there again. Perugia is a great base to stay and do trips around the Umbrian region. Simply Stunning and less crowds than Tuscany.
Although this hotel is somewhat dated in parts, the service and breakfast thoroughly makes up for it. The rooms are kept clean and the service is second to none. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again. Fanulous location as well
Excellent location and service.
I have been staying at the Brufani for over 40 years and it has never disappointed me! The staff is great, the rooms are lovely and the location is perfect!
Best timing before Christmas
Felt like we were in a palace, restaurant, bar, breakfast area. Always clean hallways, elevators, all the central areas.
Staff were incredibly friendly & helpful (from the ladies at the check in desk who assisted with a hair salon appointment to the ones working in the breakfast restaurant). The gym needs updating- equipment is in poor condition The rooms were too warm & we had to open the window which led to more noise during the night. Beds are VERY VERY firm Body lotion not provided with toiletries Location is very convenient for walking in the historic city The bar has very good cocktails & snacks but the rooms could use a re-design
Beautiful Hotel, great staff and amenities. Fantastic location.
VIVA BRUFANI!!
What an amazing experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and so well maintained. Rooms and bathrooms are small, as you would expect in a hotel of this vintage but maintained to perfection. I have been to other properties like this that were showing their age, but not Brufani. You don’t see many cloth wall coverings these days, but it was gorgeous and gave a feeling of stepping back to a more gracious and hospitable era. However, the real “F” as in fabulous for this hotel comes from the staff. Everyone we encourage tweed simply could not have been any more welcoming, gracious and enormously helpful. These people are all well trained and seem to actually enjoy having people like us as guests. A big shout out in particular to the front desk and bell help. Best I have seen anywhere in a very long time. We will most definitely be back.
Convenient location easily accessible within Citi center.
It overlooks the beautiful city of Perugia. Landscape is amazing. Short ride to train station. City is a nice calm after 3 days in magnificent Amalfi. Hotel staff is fabulous!
Staff was friendly. Breakfast is included and has a great selection. At the edge of Centro and easy walking to excellent restaurants and shops
This is a lovely hotel in the old town with wonderful views from many of its rooms out over the Umbrian countryside. Our room was huge, very comfortable and well equipped. The breakfasts were substantial and delicious. There is even a small but relaxing swimming pool below ground level where you can see the remains of the Etruscan ruins that form the foundations of the town of Perugia! You can eat lunch and dinner on the covered terrace if you wish.
Beautiful Italian style with wonderful staff.
Beautiful location… Once elegant hotel, now tired and need of upgrading.
We had a wonderful stay. Everything was great including the staff, room, location, and breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!
The staff were amazingly helpful.
Beautiful and nice service.
The best 5 star ever! Dinner was excellent, our room well appointed, staff was very helpful. But parking…so easy. 🙂
Very professional. Made our stay extremely comfortable. Thank you!
Just lovely
We had the opportunity to stay at Sina Brufani for two nights in July 2023. Obviously it was an old prestigious hotel in the middle of the Umbria region Some furnishings were old design, but the beds were modern and comfortable. I actually marveled at the efforts that had to have been undertaken to modernize the building with great showers, and good air conditioning which is a must at this time of year. The location and the view was amazing. It was very close to the primary shopping and dining options in Perugia. And the staff was so pleasant and helpful. If given an opportunity to return to the area, we would definitely stay here again.
The rooms were a bit tired and the internet was absolutely terrible. We kept losing our signals during conference calls. However, the biggest issue was that we didn’t know it would be Umbria Jazz Festival. We had to park a mile away and walk in the heat with our bags. I was surprised the hotel did not provide advanced notice of the issue as it was impossible to reach the hotel other than on foot and at a great distance.
Location for Umbria Jazz Festival is ideal
The Sina Brufani is a pretty hotel but like the cheap hotels, the air conditioning is very poor and cannot keep up with the heat. Room was often humid—especially when trying to sleep. Staff was sometimes friendly. Bar manager in a very bad mood for days.
Location is very convenient. The gym is very small and not a lot of equipment for a 5 star hotel.
Wonderful hotel located in the best area of Perugia
Nice hotel in good location in Perugia. Nice underground pool with sauna and steam room. they gave us a good recommendation for dinner at la taverna. The breakfast was only so so and was the same every day - would have like some salad and fewer packaged items
Beautiful property with a character that takes you back in history when hotels were grand and luxurious the view from the rooms is amazing rooms are very nice
The staff was extremely helpful and hotel is historic and beautiful.
Beautiful hotel everything was exellent nothing to complain
Great old palace hotel, soaring ceilings ,thick walls, good AC, quiet rooms, very central, good service, comfortable beds, would stay again.
First, to start with the positive. The views from the hotel property are amazing. The location to shopping and restaurants was perfect. The breakfast each day was very nice and convenient. The bartender made good cocktails and was very friendly. For the negative. We reserved a superior room and the photos on the website are not the same room we received. It was the smallest room they have and we looked out to another building so it was very dark. Maybe it was due to the fact that we checked in pretty late but they said that's all they had available besides a suite that would cost us an extra $320 per night! They told us we'd have to deal with Expedia direct. Frustrating. We were super tired as this was the last leg of our 3 week vacation and decided we wouldn't spend that much time in our room so we dropped it. We did send a few items to laundry so we would have clean clothes for the last 3 days of our trip. Upon checkout, they charged us $175 dollars for laundry. We sent half our suitcase to be washed on the cruise ship and it was like $65. CRAZY!
The location was fabulous!
Lovely hotel! Our suite was very nice and roomy. Pretty, artistic decor.
Always a joy to stay at the Brufani. The staff could not be more accommodating!!
It is a beautiful hotel. My room is decorated to a very high standard and it was comfortable and quiet at night. The staff are friendly and helpful. I didn't eat breakfast so can't comment on that. The pool is very nice, but the sauna and steam room were switched off. I didn't speak to the reception staff about that so I may have missed something! The hotel is only two minutes walk from the shops and cafes. I would definitely stay there again.
Had a wonderful stay. Perfect location for the city life and various activities. Staff was welcoming and eager to help. Hotel was in great condition while still having an older feel to it.
We enjoyed our stay! Beautiful location!
nice atmoshpere, great location
Great hotel
The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The property itself is beautiful and very comfortable. Perfectly located and dining was exquisite.
Great location, food, aging, small rooms
Brufani is a historic hotel right atop Perugia overlooking everything. The location is perfect. The staff is friendly. The room was tiny. Do not look at the pictures of palace like rooms on the advertising. Standard rooms are quite small, smaller than most modern hotels. Bathroom is so small that it is difficult to squeeze by the sink to fit in the shower. The restaurant food is overpriced but amazing. The free breakfast is great for croissants and coffee but the hot eggs and bacon everyday are not very good and boring. The breakfast is weak compared to Nordic countries’ hotels, for example. The cleaning staff is great. Inside the hotel shows it’s age with cracked marble and other signs of wear but it is beautiful in so many respects.
What a wonderful stay! Amazing service and staff. Bed was a little firm but I slept well. Pool was fantastic. Restaurant seemed to be in pre-season mode but food was decent. Would Definitely go back.
The views from this property are spectacular.
Hospitality at its finest. We were treated like royalty, from our rooms to the sumptuous breakfast.
Nice Property, friéndly staff, excellent location
Disappointing stay. Old world charm of a hotel a little worn and very stuffy staff Pool and spa still broken since October when we booked. No mention since October and no reduction or amenities available.
The best location in town!
This hotel is located in the most photogenic spot in the city. The rooms are comfortable (not very big), the breakfast is very good and the staff service was very good too! Overall a very pleasant stay... to be repeated!
2nd visit .. all good
Location is excellent. Hotel service was great and reception very helpful with restaurants suggestions and bookings. Breakfast buffet is very limited.
Iconic location
Great location with five star service.
City center with views
Very happy with my stay at this hotel. Close to the historic center. Lovely room and bathroom. Great breakfast options.
Recommended
Overall it was wonderful very comfort and big room excellent service . The only thing that was wrong is the bathroom it was a bit dangerous felt as if I was going to fall or so . It was sleepory and all the water went outside. But all other aspect were perfect
The Sina is located in the heart of Perugia Storico. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. The hotel manager, Chiara, went out of her way to inform clients of recent pool renovations. Wined and dined outdoors at the restaurant where the service was impeccable.
Excellent hotel right downtown
Excellent hotel and staff.
Far from being a 5 star
It is an old hotel and not worth the money. Checkin was not pleasant and they don’t offer parking for all residence (they have like 10 spots for the entire hotel) so you will have more than 1 km to walk up an very steep hill
Excellent property, amazing location
Excellent Location
An elegant hotel environment in an ideal location for exploring Perugia. Staff were professional and responsive to requests. Room service and meals were excellent as was cleanliness. Service personnel were friendly. Room I stayed in - described as double superior - required some renovations to aptly call it five star e.g. mirrors on wardrobes were badly marked and bathroom plugs were ill fitting.
a trip into history
What an amazing hotel. Felt like I was taken back in time
Amzning and cozy Indoor pool, location near to the historic center, Amazing staff (Eva) and breakfast.
The location is perfect, at the edge of the city where the sunsets are beautiful and Assisi can be seen on a clear day. On New Year’s Eve, at midnight, we watched hundreds of fireworks displays from the outdoor deck on our floor. The indoor pool and sauna were excellent to warm us after long walks in the cold air.
Beautiful hotel in the perfect location in old Perugia. The facilities here are first class, from the suites to the amazing pool and spa in the arched basement. Great service, nothing was too much trouble. Recommended without question
I liked breakfast, amenities and the room was clean

A beautiful place to stay at the top of Perugia
We stayed at the hotel for three nights in January. The hotel is beautiful, warm and comfortable. The service was excellent. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent, especially the pastries. The pool is beautiful and we enjoyed using it and the sauna. We look forward to some day returning to the Sina Brufani.
