I found this property really clean, well appointed with good amenities. Situated not too far from Port Douglas main precinct, it is nice to have a more serene stay set in very nice gardens and pools. Had a really relaxing, nice stay. Would happily book a room next time we're in Port.

Lovely holiday spot

We have stayed here many times now and love staying here. The room location we had this time was our favourite but we still loved our stay. We always stay in a 3 bedroom lagoon swimout due to the easy access to the pool and parking.

The room was spacious, clean and blocked out any outside noise. Very relaxing place, only downside is no restaurant on the premises.

The property in general was great. The room amenities were great (albeit no oven in the kitchen, only a convection microwave) living area, tv access (kids loved the tv in their room), tea/coffee facilities, wifi, balcony spa etc. The furnishings, sheets, towels were mostly clean but still found the odd stain here and there. Bathrooms were pretty dated with a lot of mould present in the shower silicone. The place is old but it had everythifn we needed and was very comfortable. The 5 min walk to the beach via a beautiful jungle track and the massive pools (with noodles and floats provided) in the courtyard were brilliant. The staff at the front desk were super friendly and helpful, and even the maintenance staff were always happy for a friendly chat. BBQ area was impressively immaculate, with utensils, cleaning products and oil spray provided. Thanks for a wonderful stay! We'd come back.

We have stayed before. Our apartment was a nice size with swim up pool. Our only issue is the water for us was too warm. Approximately 30 degrees. We therefore swam in ocean 27 degrees. Would be nice if they could put shade sails up to make the water more refreshing. Everything else was great

Disapointing resort is run down, rust, mould, dirty plates, mould smell in cupboards, told not to turn off aircon i was uncomfortable eas dreezing

Pool needed a good scrub around the water line it had a large ring of black scum on the tiles. Cooking utensils were lacking, the pan was so bad we had to go out and buy one. Bed very comfortable. Room was spacious. Enjoyable stay, would recommend.

Great, chilled family holiday, Dual key configuration, with direct access to the pool was a game changer for a family of 5! Kids absolutely loved being able to access the pool so much.

Loved this resort! Fantastic staff! Great room layout! Emily @ front desk went out of her way to help us out after our original booking at another resort was lost & they were fully booked. She was so kind to find us a room very last minute & assist me with the booking process. She also advised us on a restaurant option for the evening &, WOW was she right! It was the best meal we had all trip @ IRONBAR in the main street. The room was fantastic! It was a dual layout with a main entry between 2 rooms for families. Our teenage daughters were on one side & my husband & I on the other. Quite large rooms with a spa balcony overlooking 1 of the 6 pools on the site.

Microwave was inoperable as it had the wrong plate. Didn’t get replaced despite bringing it to receptions attention. Fridge froze everything solid despite being on lowest setting. Ruined our fruit & veg, drinks and dairy products.

The pool and BBQ was in good condition, the room could use some touch up eg cracks in walls old shower doors, it will be nice in there empty out the bins or at least supply bin liners and toilet paper 1 1/2 rolls is not enough for 4 nights especially if you are travelling with 2 or 4 people Otherwise I would come back

Lovely property, loved the swim up pool and the pool and garden and bbq area. Location was lovely too.

The staff were only too happy to go out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible! A delight to stay!

Toilet wasn’t clean when we got there but they stamped the the toilet paper and didn’t clean the bowl ,sheets had black stains on them we were there for 3 days and cleaners never came once to change sheets or bring new towels. Pretty disappointing.

It was lovely to be able to stay in a property that was fully self contained AND had the convenience of on site pools. The two burner cook top was a little tight. The single drawer dishwasher ended up being the perfect size to be able to do a daily wash.

It really is a great place to stay, however, it is getting a bit tired and the maintenance side of the resort really needs some attention.

Loved my stay loved the pools and the spa and the space of the rooms and the cleanliness of the rooms , very friendly and helpful all of the staff .

Location was great, swim out room was amazing with the kids who were able to jump in and out all day. Room was super neat and tidy, great size to accomodate a family of 5 very comfortably. Lovely quiet well maintained property .

The location was quiet although on the main road , parking was easy and just a short drive into the main shopping area of Port Douglas

We had a great stay at Silkari, great facilities, kitchen, internal laundry, quiet. It was a great base to return to each night after exploring far north QLD, we will definitely be returning

The apartments are good for families. The parking can be difficult in busy periods and if you have a spa be prepared that you will use all your hot water filling the spa and there will not be any hot water for showers for a few hours after. This can be a problem with larger families. Also the staff were/are unaware of the issues. By and large a pleasant stay.

Room for everyone especially if you have a large family, has the potential but very dated and in need of improvements. Rooms didn’t feel or look clean because everything was old, towels were tiny and had holes, sheets had marks/stains, beds not comfortable, limited facilities on the property. Staff were wonderful and very informative and did the best they could

We stayed in a 3 bedroom unit. The layout was perfect for us as we were travelling with my parents and 2 kids. My parents had their own room which could be sectioned off from the main area. The swim out lagoon pool was very popular with the kids. They enjoyed a morning and evening swim. Even though the pool wasn't heated, the weather was warm so this didn't matter. The unit was outdated and the kitchen did not have a full cooktop. The utensils were quite limited so it was difficult to cook pasta for our family. Also there is a fee to refresh towels and get additional tea and coffee. Silkari Lagoons is located about 5 kms from Port Douglas centre so we needed a car to drive to the local Coles and shops. The property is nice but unspectacular. The rooms are decent but nothing special, the shower pressure was weak and the dishwasher didn’t work properly. The single beds seemed smaller than normal. We often couldn’t get car parking near our apartment so had the trek. This is a drive into town.

Loved the stay. Spa on the balcony was great. Kids loved the choice of six pools. It's a beautiful part of the world! For the price, we needed more regular cleaning of the room though.

The shower was full of mould, The fridge was turned off at the wall so food went off, there is no allocated parking so had to park far away from our room every time, the spa was dirty and full of sand, the wifi did not work for the whole week we stayed there.

When you pay for two rooms you expect to have two rooms. The young lady at check in tried to say that one of the rooms booked was ample for the three of us. Not good enough Eventually it was sorted out by a senior person. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay, the room was amazing and big enough space. Two bedrooms dual appartments. Loved having the swim out room. Very picturesque, clean and comfortable beds. Really loved the coffee pods and the extra things they supply. The staff so friendly and helpful on check in and check out. Beautiful gardens

A very good place for a holiday.

To pay a grand for 6 nights.... and they have espresso coffee pods then expect $1 each pod... oknits $1 but if you capped it at 2 pads per person,...surely be ok? Apartment was dirty in shower, sticky fridge door, also rusty, not that this is really a problem. I washed ever utensil and crockery we used as half were actually dirty. I get this isnt the cleaners. There were several dark brown hair "small clumps" in bedroom on carpet. Im blonde. Wooden "icecream" spoon on lounge floor, under lounge room table. Not ours. The property itself & the apartment we had was a lovely design. Staff were ok.

We stayed here for 9 nights it was nice but could be improved. The house wasnt the cleanest with viasable dirt on switches and doors and dust around doorways. Theybgave use 4 bath towels for 4 people but you have to wash them yourself so we found we didnt have enough towels to do this we had to request more which was supplied. Itbwas wonderful having the pool right outside the door of the room. Especially for the kids and made for easy evenings. Although pool hours were not observed by other guests. Servicing of the room was said to be half way through but it was done on day 7 of a 9 day stay. Half way would have been nicer. We would stay here again only for the convenience of the the pool. The unit would also bennefit from an oven in the kitchen as there is only the two hot plates and a microwave.

Property was generally run down and in need of refurb, bathroom and kitchen poorly cleaned, bed however was confortable

We stayed 6 nights in a dual three bedroom apartment, first level, family of 4. Positives - pool was amazing, spacious apartments for families, a/c and fans were fantastic, parking is great and only 5mins drive away from PD. Negatives - disappointed it was not serviced during our 6 nights this made for extra costs for us for toilet paper, washing liquid and only 1 dishwashing tablet for the whole stay?! This was not specifically stated in the description. Kitchen items were very limited for a 'self contained' space, so made cooking very difficult. Towels were smelly even after drying, they need to be thrown out and replaced. Beds were not comfortable, way too hard and needed blankets provided for the 2 bedroom side. Although we enjoyed the pool, it really wasn't enough for us to want to return to this property. Next time we will pay a bit more in PD to get these facilities.

Pros : close to grocery store, liquor store and wildlife Habitat. Nice living space and confortable beds. Cons : building itself need some upgrades, no lights in pools. Elevator smells mouldy. Washing machine was broken and did not drain, had to pull out all the clothes from water to drain by hand. Hotel did give us a key to another room one floor below to wash our clothes. Nice big kitchen but minimum cookware. Will not stay here again if we come back in the area.

We had 2x 2 bedroom swim out rooms. They were spacious and the pool access was second to none. Loved our stay and wished we were staying for longer. They also allowed us to take the pool towels to our sail away excursion despite checking out that morning. (we returned them). The staff were very welcoming. Will be back!

Minor point - the TV's need an upgrade. Some rooms cannot show HD stations.

Had a wonderful stay at Silkari. The swim out room was excellent, especially for the kids. Clean, well appointment, spacious apartment. Friendly staff at reception. Now our favourite place to stay in Port Douglas. Loved it so much just booked to come back again this Easter.

Rooms were lovely and cool, spacious with all cooking facilities required. 6 pools to choose from and lovely staff.

We stayed for 2 nights in a 3 bedroom apartment with jacuzzi on the balcony. Everything was clean. Beds very comfortable. We didn’t have time to use the jacuzzi. Friendly reception and housekeeping staff

We loved the swim out room it was really affordable as well. There was ample space for two of us. Great parking . The lovely lady that also said she was a life guard at the beach checked us in and gave us lots of tips and information about the local area . The beach is walkable but you can’t swim there, it’s a 45 min walk to town on beach. About 5/6 mins drive to main shopping area . They do have shuttles but we did not use that . There is a lovely restaurant next door at the Ramada , only a min walk from reception. We were down the end and the pool was in shade most of the day which was great being January. Ost of the time we were the only ones in it .

Second stay here 13 years apart. Property looks well maintained. Our room was very clean. I have heard the decor needs updating but our room was fine. Everything was better than expected. We were upgraded to a 3 bedroom corner room. The space was great and my tweens loved sharing the studio apartment. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Only negative was that there were quite a few weeds in their otherwise beautiful garden beds but after the amount of rain they have endured, this is bound to happen. Highly recommend. Great value for money especially with a swim out room

The property is in nice location and condition of rooms were okay. There is no dining option on the property but was told that Ramada next door has options, did not check out though. There are tons of food options a short car drive. There were few issues such as previous occupant had left metal spoon in bone grinder, dishes were not cleaned properly and microwave glass was loose. When informed the management they changed microwave right away but forgot to remove the spoon, did not bother us. It is decent size 2 bed room option, used the pool which was clean. Parling included

Everything was amazing at Silkari! We really enjoyed our stay and loved all the different pools and outdoor bbq areas. It felt really safe, comfortable and the dual key rooms with the spa on the balcony were great!

Pool directly outside your room was great and staff were phenomenal. Only downside was the lack of a kitchen but arrangements were in place with resort next door.

Everything available to guests was first class. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff at reception were very friendly and professional. I had a very relaxing time around the amazing pools. Silkari Lagoons Is the place to have a holiday and relax

The property was lovely, the only downfall was getting anywhere without a car. You have to pay to take a shuttle or a taxi to get anything or go anywhere. Ie groceries, restaurants
