Smell cigarette smoking.

The highlight of this time staying in Silka hotel tsuen wan was when we have hesitation of the cleaniness and environment, the supervisor Willing to help and make us feel comfortable by offering us free upgrade the room. Dont like sometimes have other visitors smoke everywhere when there are sings of No smoking.

The room was too small for three adults and three luggage no area to place them on. Had to push them to outside bathroom to gain access to beds, desk and pull curtains. The staff must have had problems too as they were unable walk around bed by window to tidy as cases had to be placed on bed to use floor space

My wife and i checked in late on May 2024, they put us on a "NON SMOKING" room on the 8F. The minute you open the door, the strong smell of cigarrete will greet you (the smell sticks to the curtain and bedding as well). We can hardly breathe since the AC just circulates the air. We've requested to be transferred to another room ASAP for the reason and the staff named Matthew went up to check and he said the room was fine and doesn't smell (probably smoker, too) He is RUDE and COLD!!!! He should be fired! We insist to move and gave us a room on the 3/F, WHICH IS WAY WORST THAN THE FIRST ONE FOR THE SAME REASON!!!!! Since its 2am, i just ask ask my wife to wear mask and we'll leave earlier. Our clothes smells like tobacco as expected. IF I CAN GIVE A ZERO STAR, I WOULD! We travel a lot and this is the worst experience we had in terms of accomodation and staff. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!

Room is clean and comfortable. Staff are helpful. Though the transportation is not ideal, hotel shuttle bus can bring you to the city center is a great compensation.

Forget to mention, it's WIFI is better than Ease Access. It does not keep buffering when I watch youtube video. Staff is nice and accomodating. Staffs on the parking level are also friendly and eager to provide direction when guests asked how to get to a destination / where is the bus stop to certain location. Did not use gym or garden, did had breakfast in the hotels for couple days. I would say if it is included fine, if not, I would eat breakfast outside as they serve the same menu all the times (ham, hot dogs, sausage, corn, fish dumling, beef dumling), congree, veggie noodles, egg to ordered, cereals, fruits, bread/toasts, and drinks. Need chili oils... and if they can add hash brown and turkey bacon for those don't eat pork w-ould be even better. Overall staffs are nice. Breakfast is 8-11 if I remembered correctly

Compare to Ease Access Tusen Wan that my husband loved back in 2018, this is a new winner. The standard unit has a fridge and has its own air purifier in each room. We were given 2 tall water bottles everyday, Ease Access's water bottles are half of the size. Staff does not have issue to provide extra sugar, creamer and coffee package when we requested it. Ease Access housekeeping staff gave us attitude till we complained to the front desk. I like Silka more as the room is slightly bigger, it has a desk and chair so I don't have to sit on the bed all the times. It is quiet, I don't hear guest from next door talking / walking or TV. I know next door is occupied as even the door is closed but the door keeps it unlocked. For sure, you will hear your next door guests at Ease Access. Room for improvement: I have a hard time to adjust to their beds, it is not super firm nor soft, I just have back and shoulder pain when I wake up everyday. I have less pain with Ease Access's bed even I think it is about the same softness. Like the fact that they offer shuttle, wish they have it every 30 mins instead and if they offer stops that I can catch airport express buses. I don't like to drag suitcases in MTR station. I can walk to self lanudry store in 3 mins and it opens 24 hours ($15 washing include detergents already and $25 for drying) and it texts you 5 mins before it finishes. The hotel is also closed to different restaurants bakeries & bus stops.

This hotel is a very nice hotel with good service. They have a free shuttle to mtr station also. I need to mention that I really respect this hotel, as during the covid-19 pandemic, all the hotels refused to accept any visitors who had been overseas. All the hotels gave up on helping people during the crisis and only focused on their reputations rather than helping the community. This hotel was one of the few that accepted people from overseas (whether with compulsory or not self quarantine) with a very reasonable and affordable price. They offered special packages for 14 days for such purpose. They stood with HK people during their hard time, which is something I highly respect. Therefore, I highly recommend this hotel.

disrespectful receptionist

When we were checking in, the receptionist was chatting with her friend with the office phone, and I feel it very disrespectful and she did not go through a lot of the hotel policy, and should give more directions to how to get there.

It was very nice as the staff members were very sincere and professional. They treated people very well.

I liked the location and the shuttle services this hôtel provides. The AC in the room is really damp... I bought new books and the pages crumpled after a day. I hadn't even read them yet! My clothes are always cold and damp in the morning too... No matter how long I put them out for, they'd still be damp. The staff were super friendly and accommodating!

Amazing very clean and comfortable

Modern looking hotel on the inside. Daily cleaner to make the bed and top up refreshments as well as do a decent clean on bathroom and room areas. These really do a good job! Free shuttle bus service to Kwai that runs every 30mins but last shuttle bus is 10:15 from Kwai fong back to hotel

Dirty walls and dirty carpet. The room was moldy and made our stay extremely uncomfortable and be ware that the hotel service is very informal. They don’t give you even the basic supplies like shampoo, conditioner and lotion sort of stuff unless you ask them and some rooms don’t have hot water at the basin depending on what type of tap you get. They promise on their website they provide free dunking water and smart phone, but we didn’t see a thing of them. Very very bad experience and we will never ever come back again.

Difficulties communicating what you need due to language barrier. Food served during breakfast reminds me of school cafe lunch (canned sausages, ham soaked in water, corn, steamed cabbage, red beans, etc. The hotel will benefit from hiring new chef.

Very good hotel with polite staff members. Location is good with many stores and restaurants around the hotel. Shuttle bus to train station is good. Breakfast is also good with very nice people servicing there. The only issue may be the room is pretty small with little open spaces. This may be the case for many hotels in Hong Kong and Japan.

Huge hotel, had a little trouble finding it at first. There are so many buildings in Hong Kong that eventually everything starts to blend in at night time. Anyways, the check in process was a breeze, the staff at the counter Alice was very accommodating. The bed was comfortable, although the room was small, it was livable. I would compare it to the rooms in Tokyo for a single person but the bed at this location is much bigger. Make sure to get a no smoking room if you’re sensitive to the smell of cigarettes since you’ll run into a lot of chain smokers in the city. I would stay at this location again, there’s a 7-11 store right on the corner which is very convenient if you need to reload your Octopus card for the bus and etc...

What you paid is what you get. Not close to the town centre or MTR. Shuttle bus to and from the hotel is shares with Dorsett hotel guest. Waiting time back to the hotel was long after the dinner time, due to limited shuttle bus seat. Its in a first in first serve waiting policy. Room is very small and there is no wardrobe or draws. Its quick inconvenience when you stay for few days. Once you open the luggage, you cannot moved around inside the room. Its really a budget hotel.

Location is good, shuttle bus service is also good. The room is quite small which doesn't have enough space to open my suitcase. Even though I stay in a non-smoking floor, some Chinese smoke in the elevator hall. I guess that is nothing to do with the hotel. Overall is fair for the price.

Very good location with lots of local restaurants around. Shuttle bus service provided is a must and the staffs who arrange the service for us are really helpful. Hotel is a bit old and need some updates probably, room smells a little bit due to the humidity of the weather of Hong Kong, but I think it's acceptable. Will stay here again.

The room is too small and no place to hang clothes and baggages

How the hotel portray themself is excellent. The speed of checking in is relatively acceptable and staff that served me was able to speak fluent English. But I got to say the concierge team exceeds my expectation as staff Wilson (if I didn’t remember wrongly, make staff wearing spectacles) remembered which room we’re staying at and how many people we’ll be booking for the shuttle bus provided. He even went out to the Main Street to hail a cab for the other hotel guest in the cold and chilly weather. However, the breakfast served was not that great. It’s either tasteless, rubbery (noodles), or not appetizing. But I also got to reco that staff that was stationed at the egg station. It’s busy every morning but she managed to cook the eggs at a fast speed where everyone gets to enjoy instead of having to queue and wait. Still a big thank you to the hotel staff for this enjoyable trip.

*Room was ridiculously small for 4 people *Reception staff were unpleasant to deal with *Key card stopped working during our stay *Fire alarm went off 3 times in the middle of the night during our 4 night stay in our room for no reason. We complained about this on 3 separate occasions and were told that someone would come and have a look at it, no one did, this continued and their final solution was to turn it off completely (so I wonder what would happen in the case of a real emergency(?) - thumbs up for safety first. *Buffet breakfast was not great to say the least *Concierge staff were wonderful *Bathroom was spacious and well equiped *Shuttle bus made the journey to and from the hotel easy

Room was okay for 4* hotel, staff quite friendly and helpful, but breakfast need to be improve specially the variation of choices and taste. Housekeeping team doing well :))

Check in at front desk was great. Rita, Keith, Charles, plus others were really nice and good. Recommend this hotel as I had early check in and was able to have late check out! Location is very good because it is away from the city which is great to go shopping but it is nice to return to a more comfortable place without the people. Shuttle bus was very good.

Always a pleasure to be back

I have stayed here several times before and always have had a pleasant experence. Love the comfort of the rooms and colour scheme. However, the cleanliness of the rooms need more work. Found stains on the carpet and comforter. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend and will be back again!

High quality budget hotel

The hotel is located away from subway station. However, the hotel provides frequent shuttle service to the nearest station as well as to Tsim Sha Tsui (city center), which was convenient for all guests. Book in advance to shuttle service. I was upgraded from triple room to a suite. The room was spacious and clean. Amenities were well stocked. Overall a great experience!

Though the hotel is far away from the MTR station, we are happy with the free shuttle bus.

It is new and clean. Just a little small for my room. Many places to eat around the hotel.

While submitting an early survey, reception received that the room was too small for us and they immediately switched us into a bigger room. The only reason why they didn’t get a full score was because of a delay in asking for a couple pairs of chopsticks that never made it to us when we needed it. Though the staff responsible was later on very apologetic..

ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED

Please read my review if you don't want to be fooled by this SCAM. On the website, it said that it's a 4-star hotel with a great service award. However, it's the ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED hotel our life have ever met. Firstly, the room was very unexpected: small size, dirty, and uncomfortable. We booked two types of rooms, but we'd no idea why the deluxe room was smaller than the standard room. The AMENITIES both in each room and on each day were RANDOMLY GIVEN. Not all facilities in each room were working. The rooms were very DIRTY as hotel housekeepers did not do their work. They did their job UNIMAGINABLY FAST. Don't be surprised in case you find that the bed sheets are still the same even if you have already put the requesting card on the bed. I and my sister got allergy skin rashes after staying for a few nights. Unfortunately, complimentary smartphones in both our rooms were unavailable due to the maintenance which I believe it'd be the same in other rooms. Secondly, the hotel location are very inappropriate for every type of travellings. It's not located in NEITHER Tsuen Wan NOR Kwai Chung. Moreover, shuttle bus service drivers were very rude, especially the afternoon one to Tsim Sha Tsui. The driving was AWFULLY FAST and TERRIBLE. Buy a lot of insurances if you consider to stay in this hotel. Lastly, almost all food in breakfasts was TASTELESS. The hotel cooked the same food everyday, but its taste was UNSTABLY BAD. My verdict is nothing but STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL !!

The hotel was ok for a short stay, the location was good, the reception were friendly and helpful but there was no drinking water in the room which was not good, before when we stayed they supplied drinking water.

It’s been very nice to be served by the happy staffs at all times Hopefully in the future they can provide the services from the Hotei to Airport in which they don’t have this services now unfortunately

We stayed in this hotel close to 3 weeks and have switch rooms several times. Room size is according to what you pay, and is value for the money. Beds are very comfortable and clean. Cheaper rooms has no storage space and bathrooms lacking hooks to hang anything. The staffs deserve high praise and i found them very attentive and friendly. The location is OK but with the hotel shuttle it made up for everything. The free shuttle takes one to 2 very busy shopping plaza, where one can also take the buses or the MTR to anywhere in HK. We like this convenience and will definitely use this hotel again

International buffet breakfast has limited choice and is repeated everyday; no variety for guest who stays there for few days Overall, would not consider choosing the hotel again as staff wasnt as friendly or helpful, in addition to the experience listed.

Room extremely small but clean.....................

This is the 2nd time I stayed at this hotel. for the price I paid it was alright.

Toilet is not washed since day 1. Not much complain considering the room rates. Breakfast was terrible.

Check in is great, though he is a trainee, but very efficient and professional. All staff are very helpful. A few local eateries cross the road and a 7-11 nextdoor. Room is small but clean and with everything required in a hotel room plus a smartphone. Passing by mini van to Tsuen Wan and Shatin is always full, take hotel shuttle to Kwai Fong and you can go anywhere by MTR

Amazing Fall!

All the staffs are very friendly. Asked information they knew how to answer and try their best to help!! Place clean highly recommend especially in the low seasons! Price is right!! I like all the Mystay hotels. They really the best!

This hotel is a little out of the way but, a very good place to stay. Good shuttle service to subway station daily. Staff were all very helpful & room was very clean and quite. Breakfast buffet was good but if you are early 7AM open the better your choice of food items availability.

a rather new hotel from a bit remote from the MTR station and town. Surrounded by factories and residential area. Price is acceptable and room is not too small

Over used and under maintenance

Toilet seats was shaky and yellow stains on the edges. Shower head holder couldn't hold up the shower head. Shuttle bus never puncture.

Great for stopover budget travellers with lots of!

Given it was a discounted room, it was good, we had early accommodation and apart from a damp smell, the room was room enough for extra luggage. Opt for a big bed not 2 singles pushed together! The staff were wonderful and so helpful, the free smart phone was a wonderful bonus that greatly enhanced our stay, likewise the free shuttles!

Very good service at reception and Concierge department, especially Wilson and his colleague very happy to help to move all our luggages in the shuttle bus to airport Express station at Tsing Yi. Room very clean and good size. Fred shuttle bus to Mtr station and local area is a bonus.

It is OK. The neighbor is residential district. Not very continent to get to the MTR. The front desk has little information on public transit. After finding out the public transit, it is not too bad staying here. The price is relative cheap as it is away from commercial area.

Excellent service, clean rooms, free shuttle service, safe and quiet neighbourhood. Will definetly visit again! As a bonus you get to use a thing called freedy phone, which gives you a wifi hotspot!

Very clean, neat hotel with compact but thoughtfully planned rooms. Main disadvantage is distance from MTR stations - you need to taxi or use a once-an-hour shuttle to get to Hong Kong's very good subway system. My room also had an issue with hot water, but they were able to fix it.

Friendly staff, Clean well kept facility. beds were a little to firm for me, but this is a personal preference. overall I will recommend this hotel

Free shuttle service is very convenient. Consider installing shower curtains to avoid the entire bathroom from becoming wet after taking a shower. Check electrical outlets as electricity seems unstable. Laptop adapter almost exploded when we tried to plug it in.

This was a very nice hotel in a quiet part of Hong Kong but in the US it probably would not be rated higher than three stars. Room was small as expected in Hong Kong but was very clean and comfortable. The shuttle bus to the subway station was great. Its quite a walk from the nearest station. Great value overall!

Frequent shuttle to nearby MTR station. Professional front desk and easy check-in and check-out. Gym was sufficient was light workout, though the elliptical machine was broken during my entire stay - front desk said would send someone to look at it, but wasn’t fixed when I checked out. Fast internet via hotel provided unlimited mobile device, very useful. Overall, good stay.
