The services were excellent and very friendly. The room Was clean. I wish I could stay longger.
With a name like Sheraton and this being a "5 star" you would expect a certain level of quality control. This is not the case from our experience. This location is not in a walkable area and there are no good restaurants in the area. Most of the food in this hotel (except for room service) is of low quality. This includes the breakfast buffet, the Asian restaurant and the other restaurants, yet they'll charge the usual higher price for it. Also had a chance to try their spa and massage services, they were terrible! Opted for a 25 min massage and got only 15 mins as they counted 10 mins for me changing my clothes and walking me over to the massage room. Very disappointed.
Great quality hotel, high end for Tunis. Very pleasant staff as I spoke only English, not Arabic or French. Had no problems conversing with front desk, room service or breakfast staff. The hotel was very safe as it sits on a hill looking down on the Tunisian Dept. of State and multiple embassies. I suspect it is used by diplomats as the security around the property was of high quality. The restaurants are very good. The breakfast buffet was extensive. I ordered room service one night with a nice bottle of Tunisian wine. There’s also an English pub where you can get a beer and there wias always be a Premier League game on the TV. The smallest of negatives is that it is a bit isolated but unless you stay right downtown you need to use the Bolt app to get taxis no matter where you are in Tunis. It was only about 15 minutes to the airport or 20 minutes to Sidi Bou Said, which I would recommend as a side trip for lunch or dinner. If you are a business traveler or want to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown, I would definitely recommend it.
Hotel need a lot of maintenance and cleaning is not best cleaning that would expect from Marriot hotel
Very good for the amount I paid. I will come to same hotel if I come again.
Overall, Fantastic Stay at Sheraton Hotel Tunis
My recent stay at the Sheraton Hotel in Tunis was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the entirety of my visit. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Sonia, Ichrak, Aya, and Ryad at the reception, as well as Diaa Eddine in the lounge for their outstanding service and unwavering support throughout my stay. In the lounge, Diaa Eddine's attentiveness and dedication to guest satisfaction were truly remarkable. However, I must express my disappointment with the breakfast staff. Despite the excellent variety offered at the buffet, the staff seemed inactive and inattentive. I consistently had to ask them to replenish items on the buffet, and tables were not cleared and reprepared unless prompted. Overall, a fantastic experience!
Exceptional experience
Located in a tranquil hillside, the hotel offers a breathtaking view of the city and lake, creating a serene ambiance. Its strategic proximity to the city center makes it an ideal choice for business travelers. The rooms, luxurious and spacious, provide a comfortable retreat. The hotel provides impressive amenities, including a pool, a well-equipped gym, and a spacious lobby. With an Asian and Tunisian restaurant, a resto-pub, and a spa. Guests are spoiled for choice without needing to leave the premises. The staff are very welcoming and provide proactive assistance that enhance the overall experience, ensuring an enjoyable stay.
A really good hotel in the best position, on a hill overlooking Tunis. Good food and lovely service. The pool and gym were excellent. Will be back.
The people
Staff are very warm and welcoming, food was diverse and good, friendly space and staff for kids .
Tunis
It is an amazing property. Very well kept.
Business stopover
The hotel was clean and modern. Good location near the airport. It felt safe and even though we were only there for a short time, we would stay again if we were ever in Tunis on business again.
Our stay was very nice. Check in was easy and very friendly. We got to our room. They brought our extra bed within 10 min. Dinner was okay. Good place to stay close to airport when you need to be there early.
My 2nd time there
The hotel is quiet. Rooms are spacious. Internet speed is good. The room amenities are good. The hotel lobby bar is well serviced. My only comments about this hotel are the location (not close to any tourist attractions walking) and the shower water pressure isn't strong enough.
CHECK IN WAS EXCELLENT. STAFF ARE VERY NICE. ONE THING I FOUND A LITTLE DISSAPOINTIN IS THE POOL AREA. NOT ENOUGH DECK CHAIRS FOR YOUR IN HOUSE GUESTS. SLOW SERVICES.
Tunis from the top!
Sheraton Tunis is a pefect place for business. Always good and better since being under Marriott flag. Pool area .....needs some improvements.
Very nice property with very helpful staff. Gym is also excellent. Food was not great. A bit stale.
The outside pool was not available as it was empty. After the first night the maid stripped the bed and removed all of the towels. I asked 3 times and eventually this was put right at 1am
Full service hotel. Poor communication in English.
Good spot for short stay in Tunis....
I love Tunisia. And Sheraton is a great location for a short stay!!! It’s close to most attractions and even though you have to take a taxi to most places, it’s good access to it all.....
My First stay at Sheraton Tunis
well, this is my first stay at Sheraton- Tunis, its was near the airport, clean and comfort, although i had some notes on the room where i stayed, no proper sanitary equipments are installed in toilets, furthermore there was no signal in the TV screen
Satisfied with the services and atmosphere of the hotel.
Good snd clean hotel with big rooms. Nicemstagf and good pool.
nice hotel
nice hotel, very friendly staff (except the terrible in-room dinning), very good location
good stay
Nice Stay for couple of days. several problems with their credit card machine but overall service was nice
All great, very good hotel
All great, very good hotel. Special thanks to Latifa from the house keeping! Thank you. Hatim
Cozy hotel. Central location that is close to old town.
Good
Quite hotel
The hotel is nice , quiet location with Large guest rooms
Close to airport
I like the food they provide. Staff was helpful and friendly .
Security was good!
Second visit but service was below par for a Sheraton, my readig glasses left behind still have not been returned
clean and modern rooms,excellent staff,limited breakfast options,good location,normal price.
Very good as usual Just notice that the room is not 100% perfect, for example shower element broken which must be replace. Globaly it is very good address to stay for business
It was not bad , close to center , staff friendly , But the food in the Resturant wasn't not ok
It was good but the hotel should improve more the facilities . Some rooms was renewed.
ll was good, breakfast was poor quality... airport transportation was only provided from airport to hotel, but from hotel to airport I had to pay for the taxi!!!
Would choose again.
Very short trip. wpuld choose again.
Toilet
The toilet flush was not working when we checked in at 11 pm we called the reception twice within 45 min. till they sent a plumber that fixed it and after we used the flush it went bad again so we gave up and lived with it for the night by pouring water . Breakfast is not included it costs over 18 dollars pp Other than that the hotel is clean and comfy.
Service standards at this 5 star hotel are poor
A 5 star hotel with 2 star service. Only 1 star poolside.
Horrible experience
This is the second time I stay at this hotel. The first experience was great but this time it was miserable. The staff was not very friendly and my floor smelled like raw sewage. Also, my room was noisy and the air filled with debris from ongoing construction on my floor. Another complaint I have is around the pool facilities. It seems so backward that essential items for the piscine ( towels, bonnets, etc...) are located on the floor above the piscine. By the time you swim and realize this, you have to walk through the lobby, wet, go up through the elevator, and by a bonnet and towel for 15 dinars. Essentials are usually located by the piscine and are complimentary at most 4-5 star hotels. The hotel is very good at up- charging you for everything.
Wont' be back
No towels, heating stuck on (100 degrees fahrenheit!), couldn't take my credit card, and customer service wouldn't answer the phone. Will definitely be looking elsewhere on my next stay.
not bad hotel
overall good
hotel needs renovation and being done
Very helpful and polite staff. our stay was pleasant. Need a taxi to go anywhere as nothing is walking distance. The hotel called taxi driver was fleecing us charging almost three times. Room was ok . Bathroom was very small and shower glass was less than a half cover, so water tended to splash out while showering. This made the bathroom seem even smaller The 3rd floor corridor especially near the lifts was stinking. Despite bringing to the notice of the staff there it was like that throughout our stay. The room service breakfast and orders were charged twice the rate though the brochure doesnt specify. The dinner buffet was good. The spa was a waste of time. The massage was very poor.
Top hotel for business
A very comfortable stay. Great gym and spa. Great service.
Nice renovations
Feel at home
Getng there
Sheraton Tunis is a 70's era building opposite the barbed wire surrounded Ministry of Foreign Affairs and TV HQ in Tunis. A fair way out of the town centre high on a hill. Rooms have been been recently redecorated to a modern finish but the sound proofing is poor so avoid rooms near the lifts. Only 1 of 3 lifts working and I was unable to find any stairs to access the lobby floor so be prepared for a long wait to get back to the rooms. Breakfast "buffet" is not fantastic quality and the open terrace should be avoided unless you like flies, disspointing cockroaches scuttling across the reception area floor during checkout. Room service I found th ebest option. Public areas (and even non smoking rooms- equipped with ashtrays?) smokey. Outside pool bar closed as off season but pool area and spa pleasant though not many loungers and sun dissapears by 1600 due to shading so consider your spot carefully if you hope to sunbath post swim. Large indoor pool.
Hotel is currently being refurbished and so lifts weren't working for much of the time. Check-out experience was excellent, but otherwise average.
total disappointment
Problem started at Check In- till check out & error in billing
Close to business area.
Well organized management. My advice, is to organise Settle services.
Good quality hotel
No hassle and comfortable stay
nice gateway with friends
It was a pleasant stay and the buffet breakfast was good
Very Clean and well presented Hotel
stayed for a business trip and would definately stay again. all the ammenities required.
It was great and the staff where very helpful.
Good standard and good overall quality
clean rooms, fitness center, swimming-pool, restaurants. The hotel is coming with a nice view on the city. However, need a taxi to go to downtown or business part of the city.
Good ambience in the lobby
Good ambience. Perhaps a major drawback is access to the Internet, which is free only in the lobby area (and the process of registering is rather complicated). In the room, however, one has to pay 8 dinars for 1 hour or 24 dinars for 1 day. In most hotels in Tunisia and elsewhere around the world, access to the Internet is free regardless of location in the hotel!
It's a fine hotel
Acceptable and all in all no complaints - a little old hotel - rennovation was in 1999 - but nothing broken or not working.
Great place to stay in Tunis
I arrived in the hotel after a few days in Hammermet. While not in the city centre, with taxis it is a good base to explore the city. All staff are very professional and helpful but a special mention for staff on reception who were excellent in booking restaurants and advising on things. Swimming pools, gym and health centre first class
central hotel
Nice 5 star hotel set away from any noise. You will need to allow for taxis to get around.
Tunis-Sheraton a nice place to stay
The Sheraton Tunis is a nice hotel although not quite a five-star hotel is a rate themselves more like a three 1/2 star. It was clean and well kept but that said, there were some problems or perhaps I should say nuisances. For example at breakfast all you can get is the buffet which is a waste of money for people like myself who tend to eat very lightly in the morning. It was a real pain in the neck to use the Wi-Fi in the lobby having to check in pay for the hour and then have the bill ducted upon checkout which is a real pain when you're in a hurry to check out having to go through a number of charges. But on the other hand Tunisia is developing country and the service not quite up to Swiss standar but given the condition of the hotel, realizing its limitations its a good place .
the worst sheraton experience
the shower holder was broken, the room was not broomed or vacuumed for the 5 days of my stay, the phone would not ring and made me miss many incoming calls, and was not repaired even after my complaint, when it got very cold the heater did not suffice, hot water was not available after 10 am, tea bags in the room were of poor quality and the was no milk if i wished to add milk in my tea, there was no artificial sweetener, pool and gym opened at 9 am which meant that the business travelers could not have a morning workout, the worst was the fresh juice juicer in the main dining/breakfast hall which was operated throughout breakfast but sounded like a nut grinder paced by your ear, there was no decaf coffee, there was no sweetener in the breakfast lounge........somebody please report this to the Sheraton management or else we should call it pseudo-sheraton
e.g. "Great hotel for a family"
i liked hotel and staff i hope go back again and site and design of the hotel is fantastic
Travel from the airport to the hotel is easy
Well-sited for ministry business. The internet worked all the time and was a reasonable speed. There is a shuttle every hour to the airport but I did not want to wait for that so I went to the Avis car hire office in the airport, which will provide a driver to take you to the hotel for 20 Dinars added to your hotel bill. This is a cheap deal arranged by the hotel.
Good business trip Hotel.. Well located
The hotel was great reason 4 was because it was under renovation apart from that I will stay there again and I will recommend it
Hotel that can be trusted
Safe & secure, There are never any accounting issues. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Thanks to all the staff & Happy New Year
The standard of the Sheraton Hotel in Tunis is always very good. They have set the bar for quality and service and maintain that standard. I have given up trying to find other hotels in Tunis that can compare. I will remain a loyal customer as long as their standard is not compromised. Thanks again to all the staff . Its because of their hard work and loyalty that the Sheraton can be proud.
Totally relaxed
By using easter holidays, I stayed the hotel for 3 nights. It is perfect location to overview Tunis city from top of the hill. I could totally relax with quiet atmosphere. In addition, I enjoyed the dinner at Italian restaurant, having Spagetti Frutti di Mare with delicious sauce. Staff is helpful and supportive.
Ok hotel
Hotel nice. 4 star..... Staff nice, though hotel has no smoking bans and everywhere was smokey. Spa is not free, only gym and pool are free, bit disappointing. Shuttle bus from hotel to airport more expensive than taxi....
Bad Times
No electricity and the room not made up. Had to move rooms and it took an hour to sort out after a long tiring journey. Not good.
Very Nice Hotel
Very Nice
Fantastic hotel
Great hotel, with all the features and facilities. Everything was outstanding.
Nice hotel, nasty food
First of all, the hotel is in the middle of no-where. The taxi drivers cheat you at every possible opportunity. One time we asked to go to city centre and he took us to some remote derelict site and charged us four times as much. Tunisia is an okay country, but the food is absolutely terrible! Disgusting. Not one good meal we had. You would think the Sheraton is better, its not.
Can't wait to go back
I will recommend this hotel to others
Good business hotel
We travelled in a aprty of 4 on a trip to investigate the potential of the country. We chose a hotel by reputation to ensure that we new what we were getting. The Sheraton lived up to its reputation as a good quality hotel that can be relied on. The staff are good and most spoke English well enough. On the 4 day trip, our rooms were not serviced every day. This appeared to be random as some days some of the rooms were serviced and others were not. The restuarants were average, though we did not get the oppertunity to eat in their main restuarant as it was fully booked for the duration of our trip. I think there are better "holiday" hotels available in Tunis and the Sheraton's situation is not particularly good for the holiday maker, but excellent for buisness people.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
All was good. Clean and big room. Nice breakfast.
Perfect
Location was perfect.staff were also perfect
très bon séjour
Excellent accueil Personnel très efficace Standing de l’ hôtel top SPA +piscine chauffée impeccable Petit déjeuner moyen Restaurant oriental à conseiller
Keine Probleme, alles in Ordnung. Sicherheit auch in Ordnung.
2 bottled water for one person per day, nice slipper, refrigerator, great bed, deserve to be a five star hotel
Bien situé
Séjour correct dans l’ensemble pour 2 nuits
Bof...
Sheraton Tunis
The hotel is providing basic service for clients. Not bad and not good.
Hotel leggermente trascurato, livello di accuratezza e pulizia a livello medio .
Bella esperienza
Dark nights in Tunis

Rundown and Overpriced
The hotel is in poor condition, with noticeable deterioration. The meals are overpriced; dinner costs $60 per person but lacks quality and cleanliness in both food preparation and dining areas. Additionally, the pool area is unsafe, resulting in a cut on my foot due to rough edges. Housekeeping fails to replenish towels and tissues, and the pillows and hallways are dirty. Given this is a Sheraton hotel, one would expect higher standards commensurate with the prices charged.
