very good
Beautiful tree lined streets in the FCC area. close to shopping and restaurants - quite diverse area. Excellent staff.
Just a superb place in a prime location and the flavor of old Shanghai in its bygone era. Ideal neighbor for adventurous visitors to a fast-moving city with a youthful vibe.
The breakfast can be improved. Good location with food, family mart just around the corner
Nice hotel
Hotel looks newly renovated. Nice building. Comfortable bed. Good value for money. One strange thing is my booking was for 2 people and with breakfast but they insist that my hotels.com booking only entitled me one person’s breakfast each day (I.e second person has to pay for breakfast). In the end I suggest they give me two persons breakfast on second day only, as I don’t want breakfast on first day anyways. But thought it was tricky
Breakfast can be improved
An amazing hotel that I'd definitely book over and over whenever we go back to Shanghai. The family room we booked was well-maintained and definitely exceeded our expectations! Room service was always polite and hospitable, giving our stay there an overall welcome mood. The front desk staff members were always ready to help and were able to efficiently and warmly take care of our needs time and time over. It even happened that they were able to book us a room after we had to check out for for a two day tour to Wu Zhen and Hangzhou! It wasn't a family room, but it was arguably the next best thing. Once again, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai, and I myself would book at this hotel the next time I bring my family here.
Location couldn’t of been better
Hotel was really comfy and in a great location for walking and use of the metro. The only downside was gym and pool, which were in another hotel just down the road, but facilities weren’t great. If you just want some dumbbells, that’s what it’s got. The restaurant and breakfast in the hotel were ok, but there are much better choices to eat in and around the surrounding areas (I highly recommend Din Tai Fung in the shopping mall if you like dumplings - the best I’ve had in Asia). Location couldn’t of been better though so I would stay there again.
It is a one of my favorite hotels . Nice decoration, comfortable surrounding.
Even more lovely after the remodeling
Amazing stay. The remodeling made it even better than before. Lovely fruits every day in the room. Spotless condition. So so breakfast. Close to all kinds of restaurants and a coffee shop with great breakfast across the street so no need to eat in the hotel.
Appalling and Rude service
Surly and rude service at the reception desk. As a frequent travel to Shanghai, the only other place to receive the same poor service is at its sister hotel, the Donghu Guesthouse. Although the hotel is very comfortable, the service is so brutally rude (when they speak English) that the experience is entirely ruined. There is no possible way to recommend this hotel until they decide to treat their guests with more respect and consideration. Perhaps they can provide their staff with a course in hotel management and courtesy.
Lovely comfortable clean hotel in attractive area.
Very attractive heritage hotel which was comfortable, spacious and clean. Excellent location for a single travellerwith good restaurants, bars and shops nearby. The staff were very professional and polite with good English.
Nice hotel - great area
Very nice stay, Western environment at traditional look Chinese
I had a clean and beautiful room. All of the staff were very kind and polite. If I had to say only one bad thing, it was about an air conditioner in my room. I tried making my room warm but it didn’t work well.
完璧。言う事なし!
Heritage one
