The host is very friendly, the breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed our stay.

Robin was an amazing host and we loved her beautiful property and hospitality! She was accommodating and helpful with recommendations and directions. Only regret was that we didn’t stay longer! Highly recommended!

A beautiful place to stay.

A beautiful place to stay. The name Serenity describes this B&B perfectly. The room was perfect with spectacular lake views. Breakfast was wonderful. Robin is very knowledgeable and a great host! Wish we had booked for several nights….

This was an elegant & beautiful place. Our host was friendly & so accommodating. The view from our deck was breathtaking. Wish we stayed longer.

The view was absolutely beautiful. What a wonderful spot. Loved sitting on the deck and taking it all in. The host was great and made a fantastic breakfast. Would definitely recommend!

Kelly’s travels

Were welcomed by Robyn and shown our room and all about our stay. Then sent out on back deck and were greeted with spectactacular garden and lake views. Back deck a great pace to sit and enjoy Taupo and the lake. Robyn made sure we had everything we needed down to cushions for chairs and rugs to keep us warm. Next morning she made us a wonderful cooked breakfast and fresh fruit and yoghurt. A wonderful relaxing stay

Views were spectacular

You cannot deny the view. Pleasant room with a turn down service (was a surprise to see the mints after being out for dinner). Hostess is full of knowledge and happy to talk about local attractions/ food opportunities. Note: No TV in room for the night owls after partners go to sleep, so keep that phone charged.

Beautiful property. Pictures on VRBO don't do it justice. One of the best B&B we have ever stayed at -- and we have stayed in alot. Definite 10.

Beautiful location and views, only thing missing was a television, we were really well looked after in a great house and gardens.

The perfect choice if you want to stay in Taupo or anywhere nearby. Robyn is a fantastic host, the property is spotless and so nicely arranged. Her breakfast was amazing and her recommendations for our time in Taupo were great. Highly recommend!

First rate B&B

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay at this B&B. In keeper Robin is a wonderful hostess. The accommodations are tasteful and impeccably clean with a number of well thought out touches that many in-keepers do not consider such as robes, fridge, kettle. The bed was very comfortable which we consider a very important consideration. Throughout our many world wide travels we have found saggy mattresses, lumpy pillows and shabby bed linens are more the norm than the exception therefore it was a real treat to enjoy an above average bed experience. The B&B is located in a very quiet, residential area with an amazing view of lake Talpo. The large decks set in a pretty garden provide a wonderful place to relax while taking in the panoramic view. Robin provides an outstanding breakfast. We would like to point out to guests that the town is about a 10 minute drive from the B&B. There are a number of places to dine in town. However we found the B&B so inviting that we enjoyed many quiet hours on the decks and would like to suggest that guests who want to luxuriate on the deck pick up some food and beverages. As a side note, the star gazing is magnificent.

Very nice place

Very beautiful location. Host very welcoming and helpful. Excellent breakfast. The rooms are lacking of a place to put the luggage, we had to use the floor. Getting out of the parking could also be a problem if other cars are parked. The view are great and everything is impeccable

The moment we walked into this property it exceeded our expectations. Robyn the lady who ran it was just wonderful and nothing was we asked was a problem. The view was just spectacular. If you want a very private place to stay with a view this is the property for you.

This is a private vacation home that is converted into a B&B. It can only accommodate three guests (or couples). The view is a spectacular unobstructed view of the lake. The gardens are terrific and the back deck with the lake view is wonderful. The rooms are clean and modern. There is a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee and hot chocolate for the room. There hostess is very friendly and helpful. The rest of the house is terrific too. It is located about 5 minutes from city center. Totally safe and quiet. Private access to back deck. Off street parking. I would stay here again.

Wow. What a great experience. Robyn was AMAZING. Went the extra mile for us. And what a spread she gave us for breakfast. Lovely rooms with a great bed & lovely sheets. She even had chocolate in the fridge for us. We had a fab time sitting on her deck having a few drinks & she made us feel at home. Couldn't have asked for more. Thank Robyn

This is the nicest b&b we have ever visited, not only for its luxurious amenities but Robyn, the owner, went to a lot of trouble to ensure we saw the local sights, even driving us to Huka Falls. She was a complete angel in her care for us, making cold drinks. spritzing my face to keep me cool on a particularly hot day. Serenity on Wakeman truly is a little bit if paradise on earth! And that view!!

Amazing views and hospitality

Robin was very welcoming and gave great hospitality. She was very helpful with ideas of what we could do in the area and had a leaflet on hand for anything! Robin has a lovely home with amazing views of the lake with a short drive to Taupo town. And the breakfast was superb. Would definitely recommend.

The Serenity on Wakeman is based in a wonderful and quiet location, with fabulous views over Lake Taupo. You couldn't wish for a better host - very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable on local attractions worth visiting. Breakfast on the deck in the morning was a great experience, and boy what a breakfast - fantastic. Our room was very well appointed, comfortable and clean, and the Spa Tub was an added boon. Although only my wife and I stayed on this occasion, we will definitely stay in the two bedroom apartment when we return with our family. Thank you for taking great care of us - you're an excellent host with a wonderful home.

Very nice evening in the Kowhai Suite

We were mostly in town for a helicopter tour of the Taupo area, and were surprised and delighted by Robyn's place. She was lovely and went above and beyond. We got in late for our one-night stay and she recommended an awesome walk to Huka Falls that fit into a narrow window right before sundown—and she even came and picked us up when we were done so we wouldn't have to walk back in the dark or call a cab. The patio breakfast was great, too, and she gave us great recommendations for what to do in the afternoon after our helicopter tour.

A truely Serene Stay

We found Serenity on Wakeman to be a beautiful and relaxing two nights in Taupo. Our hostess Robyn could not do enough to help make our stay a great one and the view from our top floor room was perfect. A particular highlight was breakfast on the terrace, stunning!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and couldnt fault the Serenity on Wakeman at all. Robyn was an excellent host and made us feel so welcome. We look forward to staying again soon!

Perfect stay!

A perfect stay in Lake Taupo. Robyn was the best! The views alone were worth it, but having such a great host makes the stay so much better. You can’t go wrong here. The breakfast was delicious and location was ideal. We would definitely stay again!

Great stay in Acacia Bay, Taupo

Acacia Bay is the burbs of Taupo - 10 minutes out of town, but peaceful, and stunning views!

Dream stay.

Spending 2 weeks in North Island of NZ. Coming to the end of the stay and this has easily been the highlight of our tour. An outstanding property in a wonderful location with spectacular views. The host matched those standards.

Nice B&B in Taupo

Robyn is an amazing host who maintains a tidy quiet comfortable and beautiful B&B in Taupo. Rooms were comfortable and clean. On-site parking for 2 to 3 cars (adequate as Serenity has 3 rooms). Quite a luxurious experience.

Perfect weekend getaway

We had a excellent, peaceful, relaxing weekend here for our anniversary. You feel instantly relaxed as you arrive, and Robyn adds to this by making sure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay.

An amazing place to stay!

We stayed at the room upstairs which has the best view overlooking the lake taupo. The bed was so comfortable. We had our breakfast outside on the deck. The breakfast was delicious. We will definitely return and recommend this place to others.

Fabulous View B&B

Just an excellent experience at Serenity House. We had the second floor room with a private balcony overlooking Lake Taupo. I would highly recommend this room. Comfortable bed, great linens, very large private bathroom with the best view of the lake. Robyn served us our delicious breakfast out on her veranda overlooking the lake. Romantic and lovely. I would highly recommend this B&B.

Stunning view of Taupo

Had the most wonderful few days here on our honeymoon, the owner was friendly and made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. She went the extra mile when family wanted a gift organised from Australia to be waiting for us when we arrived. The room is clean, warm and the view of Taupo is breathtaking, would highly recommend a stay here and will definitely be back!

A wonderful experience we will never forget!

From the minute we arrived, we were treated to a lovely, relaxing experience. Robyn was very generous with both her time, expertise with the local area, and charming, well appointed B&B. Nothing was too much trouble from suggestions for dinner through to a little blanket and supplies for a magic evening watching the sunset over Lake Taupo and the breakfast the next morning was delicious. For anybody looking for a quiet and comfortable stay in Taupo, that is not too far away from local attractions, this is highly recommended. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. We hope to visit again soon, thank you Robyn.
