Issues with pool and beach chairs. Not as many options at the dinner buffet as compared to other resorts

The property was nice. Enjoyed the activities for the kids. Unfortunately the dining options can improve But overall it was a good stay.

Loved how kid friendly and family oriented everything was, including multiple pool locations and kid events for all ages.

Went there this March 2025. Property well maintained, cleaning staff everywhere. All staff were friendly and nice. Good food. Lots of activities to do. Family enjoyed a lot. Thank you Sensira team!

Great property. Clean rooms, no issues at all. Food had good variety, staff is super helpful at any time of day. Lots to do for kids, excursions close by, clean beach, and just an all out great vibe!

Loved: - our room (Amber room) and the butler service we had with it (Joao, Rafael and Cristian were great!) - most of the restaurants, good quality and good variety - beds available at the pools for no extra cost (but you had to get up VERY early to ensure you got one) - the adults only pool area was a nice respite from what is a very family friendly resort - friendly and attentive staff (pool waiters were amazing, we never had an empty drink!) - gym was well equipped Could be better: - tennis and basketball courts were out of service - change up the music a bit at the adults only pool (the jazzy covers were ok but not the same songs everyday on repeat) - we wish the Mexican restaurant had been better, everyone we spoke to agreed it was also their least favourite meal, but all the others made up for it (overall food was great!)

A great resort for families! The service was top notch and great food and drinks.

Extremely subpar. Never coming here again. The location is absolutely horrible, road to resort is like a rollercoaster of potholes. The room is nice except the shower is horrid. Worse spewing water pressure ever, very uncomfortable to use. Shower water doesn’t get hot and the soap and shampoo were terrible. The pool was freezing and hot tub was room temperature. I asked 4 different employees about the hot tub and no one helped. Adult lounge has a piano, guy told me I could play it but it was stuck shut, said he’d fix it right away, never fixed it the 4 days we were there. Room service food was HORRIBLE and buffet food was somewhat ok but disappointing. Snacks provided in room were full of MSG, everything was very Americanized it was sad. The Italian restaurant we tried was delicious. The one grill restaurant is constantly booked so we couldn’t even get a reservation and didn’t have a chance to try it. The only thing I was actually happy about were the drinks. Do not recommend if you’re an adult looking to have a nice relaxing time with good food. Try anywhere else. Not to mention, we scheduled a taxi through concierge and it was 20 min late. Just not worth the money spent

It was a good resort overall. The beach was not great on windy days but they did their best to keep the shoreline clean. It felt like everytime we exited our room it was clean again. The staff were great especially with the kids. Felt very safe at resort

If you have children I suggest coming here. If you want a true adult-only go elsewhere. The resort is otherwise very nice. The food and bar services were outstanding as were the staff we encountered. Our room was kept up and the Amber area butlers were able to handle everything without complaint : kudos for Rafael Jaio and Cristian. The restaurant servers were excellent. My wife and I were not impressed by the food at the Mexican or French restaurants; but that is only due to our personal taste preferences not the food itself.

Sensira is simply amazing!!! This was my third time there and we will be back for sure!!!! They made my birthday weekend one of the BEST! I highly recommend them!!! The staff is by far the most AMAZING staff I have ever encountered at a resort!!!! Can’t wait to be back already !

What once was a beautiful resort is now in serious disrepair with many promised amenities which were not available or not up to the quality expectated. The staff and service was excellent especially with the obvious understaffing

Abraham, Mario and Rafael will treat you like kings and queens! We stayed here for our 10 year anniversary and had the best time. The property is always kept clean -even public restaurants and elevators! There’s many restaurants on the property and so much to do!

Had a nice time since my stay was over the weekend a foam party or pool party would have been nice

Let me say this was a welcomed surprise, I booked this location at the last minute and did not do my due diligence in research as I usually do for a girl's trip and especially for my birthday. But OMG I am so glad I did, this property was stunning and every room I saw had a phenomenal view of the ocean what a way to wake up each and every day. David and management made my birthday even more special when they found out that our group was there to celebrate 2 birthdays. They made sure we felt special and at home at the same time. I was impressed upon arrival as we were greeted with a cool towel and a welcome drink. Now even though there were a super number of kids at this location it did not bother me at all because truly they had an area, and the adults had one to. If I had any complaints it would be having to get up at 530am to go reserve a chair, so that was a little bothersome but once we finally got a space we never left it and enjoyed ourselves immensely and lastly I was obsessed with the aroma at this place the smell was all over not overpowering but everywhere lobbies, hallways and bathrooms I was so obsessed I wanted it for my home. I cannot wait to return with my friends soon. Thanks, Sensira for a most memorable visit and birthday!

Very great hotel for young kids.

We really likes the layout of the resort . How many washrooms and locations were really convenient. The entertainment staff are great, the kids amenities are awesome so much for the kids to do.

It was noise all the time

Basketball court and tennis court were damaged and closed. Pool music was often too loud. Food was good but not great. Beach had a fair bit of garbage and other than clearing sea weed we never saw staff or others making an effort to clean up garbage. Lots of kids to play with our kids but other than soccer and beach volleyball there wasn’t a lot for them to do to stay busy. Zip line and climbing wall were only open an hour or two per day. It wasn’t a bad week all in all but we wouldn’t return to this resort.

Staff and service throughout was excellent!! Especially our main man, from the buffet daily- Humberto! This man was the best 👌

Toilet would not flush the entire stay despite front desk request for maintenance. Had to travel to lobby everytime I needed to use the restroom. In suite mini fridge stocked but broken and constantly tripped fuse. Coffee supplied in suite (3 pods) but not restocked after first day. Also no supply of sugar or coffee additives. Previous guests left stacks of glassware and plates outside our door and remained there the entire trip. First night a paint/plaster crew was suspended outside the door painting into the evening. Balcony was covered in paint/plaster the entire stay. The 3rd night a tile repair crew was below the balcony hammering throughout the evening. Despite a large resort being populated, you expect a bit of noise from fellow travelers. You do not expect to endure construction/maintenance noise on a relaxing trip. I also got a flat tire on my rental car due to the pot hole ridden road that leads towards the property. The staff changed my tire and was very helpful. Other than the staff kindness, I will not be visiting the property again.

The property itself was beautiful and spacious & the rooms were very nice. Large rooms each with its own balcony overlooking either the pool or ocean. However, you literally had to wake up at 4am every morning just to claim chairs or a cabana. There are over 300 rooms and barely 200 chairs throughout the resort AND beach. If you did not claim chairs, you found yourself setting your stuff to the side of the pool. The dining was limited with the buffet having almost no options. They had more desserts than actual meals/protein. The snack bars served typical burgers and hot dogs & chips. Reservations were to be made for the steak house and French restaurant, with most of the times being late, 8:30-10:30pm. You can only make reservations from 9am-2pm each day and you cannot make two reservations on the same day. Bars served good drinks, but you literally had to line up everywhere you go. Pool bar, lobby bar, buffet, etc. a long line as soon as they opened up. While room service is included because it is an all inclusive, you are required to pay $10 USD every single time you order. Again, this resort was nice and it is well equipped for families with young children. There are a lot of amenities provided for the little ones. However this is not some place I am urging to visit again. Overall 3/5 rating from us.

My husband and I stayed at the resort at the end of February for 5 days and it was incredible! The room, inside of the resort, pools and beach were spotless. The food and drinks were excellent and they had many gluten free options both at the buffet and the restaurants. The food was also labeled so it was easy to know what was gluten free as I have Celiac Disease. The staff were so kind, welcoming and helpful. It was truly a pleasure to meet them throughout our stay. The resort is family friendly but there are adult only areas in the buffet, outdoor pools and beach which was nice. I was looking for a resort that was smaller to be able to easily walk to the beach and this was perfect! It was an amazing stay! I highly recommend this resort.

We had such a wonderful week here. So family/child friendly but doesn't feel like Disney World. The staff was incredible, always asking if we needed anything and how they could make our stay more enjoyable. There is tons to do at the resort and the food choices are fantastic. Definitely recommend.

The property is great. The staff was always helpful. The activities and areas for the children were plentiful and enjoyable. The food was as okay. We never could claim a lounge chair before they were all taken. The road into the resort from the main highway was in extremely bad condition.

Dont let other reviews fool you. This place is beautiful. If youre with kids especially (arrive for breakfast before 8am or prepare to wait to be seated) but if youre just adults youll be fine at any time. The restaurants in the resort are okay. If you order food to your room after 10pm, be aware itll be a while to deliver.

Its a nice hotel But towels, beds sheets and plastic drinks cup need more attention

Sensira is a nice, all-inclusive resort. Has plenty of activities for kids, nice beach with beautiful sand. There are 4 pools, one with kids slides. There is nothing around the hotel, except for couple other hotels. Service is friendly and helpful. Overall, we had very good stay at Sensira hotel.

We stayed 5 nights and it was great! My son enjoyed everything that it had to offer, kids pool, trampoline park, zip line and games. Nice ambiance around the property, the food was great for resort food nothing special. I loved the nightly shows they were cute and the steakhouse was my favourite. Thank you to Carlos the host and server took great care of us!! Laura at concierge was patient and kind. Everyone that I came across was lovely and helpful. Thank you! <3

Rafael was an excellent host. Very welcoming and hospitable. Rooms were clean and spacious. Ambar lounge was great atmosphere and espresso martini was top notch. Pools were wonderful, although would be nice to have swimup bar at adult pool.

It was a pleasant experience but of course there is room for improvement in the food options and number of the daily shows.

Its a very nice family resort

It is a wonderful family friendly resort. The staff work extremely hard! Only one small thing…lack of chairs at both the beach and pools. Food was terrific, staff were beyond wonderful. Rooms are large.

Very clean and great price

The road to the resort is worst with so many pot holes and no solid road. One feels like back in 70’s without roads. The staff of the resort was so lazy and not cooperative at all. Resort has less food options as well.

The buffet on most days had a wide variety of options the best a la carte was the steakhouse & Mexican restaurant. The staff was warm & welcoming Diego & Enrique stood out the most. There were so many things to do on the property a suggestion would be to have a shuttle going to the local nearby mall instead of having to get a taxi/uber

Overall the place was really clean. What I really didn’t like was the limited options for lunch and dinner, it also wasn’t the best food except for breakfast which was amazing. Very kid friendly. The snack bar had good choices. I also couldn’t find seashells on he beach :( the staff was so so kind and did their best to provide the most excellent service

Overall, I would say the property is very nice. But maybe I didn’t look into the reviews deep enough and realize that it is a very heavy child oriented hotel in there were a lot of families there. Only reason I’m putting that is because if you are couple without children, focusing on having a super quiet or adult experience, it might not be the best. But they do provide pool areas that are adults only in they try to create areas around the hotel that are adults only. But the staff was very nice and the food is good and overall, I would say that we had a wonderful time.

The property was good. We travelled with a small child and were a little apprehensive of the daycare at the beginning, but after picking them, they asked daily to be at the daycare, so the caretakers there were clearly doing a good job

A hotel for families with small children

The food was good, the service was good. A huge number of of screaming kind made it hard to stay by the pool, in the lobby bar or the restaurants. I did not join the 06.30 army of guests occupying sunbeds for the rest of the day, so never got a sunbed. Why not have enough !!?? A sunbed on our big terrace would have been nice. Why did we have to que for the buffet restaurant to sign in and get a table - we are quite capable to find a table. For breakfast and lunch we had only a the buffet restaurant to get a good meal - why not open more options ! Sensira is probably good for familes with small children, not anyone else.

Stayed with my wife and two kids, aged 5 and 3. We loved our stay and everything the resort had to offer for the kids.

Everything about this property was excellent. The only problem is, I wish I had more time to stay a little longer. I definitely recommend.

We stayed at Sensira with our two-year-old twins. Property is smaller which we appreciated, everything was within a short walking distance—ideal when traveling with toddlers. The staff was kind and accommodating, though at times, it felt like the resort was understaffed. One of our biggest service disappointments was at the steakhouse, where we waited over an hour for our food. After mentioning to the waitress that we’d have to leave because our toddlers were getting hungry and restless, our food was brought out immediately—but the steaks were lukewarm, as if they had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. The buffet was a highlight, offering a good variety of food with pleasant and attentive staff. Unfortunately, the à la carte restaurants did not meet our expectations. The biggest downside of our stay was that on our last day, one of our toddlers developed a fever, which was followed by a rash...our entire family contracted hand, foot, and mouth disease. As a nurse, I strongly suspect we were exposed to it in the play areas (trampoline and playroom)which we visited every day. Water is safe, we drank regular water at the bar/buffet and ate fresh fruit, we did not have stomach issues at all. The beach was okay,sand was nice,staff cleaned up the seaweed daily, water was murky, if you’re expecting iconic blue turquoise waters, this is not it. We had a good stay and appreciated the resort’s smaller size, which made it easy to navigate with kids, but we won’t be returning.

Overall, great stay. Out of the way, in the jungle along the coast between Cancun and Playa. Very safe. Security gate with guards to get in. Facilities are in good shape. Minimal wear and tear. Good upkeep. Great spa. Excellent beach that is groomed every day including removal of seaweed. Virtually no peddlers on the beach and not aggressive ones. Restaurants are just OK, like at many Mexican resorts. Staff was very, very kind and friendly. Many resorts cannot say that. Our room was a Ruby Suite and it was great (but ask for one on the south side of the resort/the adult side, where it is more quiet). This was a great trip. Definitely considering coming back.

I took my daughter here for her 16 birthday and it was soo good its was a bit quiet in the weekdays but on the weekends there was some entertainment which was all family oriented. The food was good. The steakhouse restaurant was excellent my server name was Anna and let me tell you she was amazing it was Valentine’s Day and she was busy but she made us feel special. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would go back.

Our room phone was broke. Hot tub broke. Not all lounges were open as advertised. I cooild not order room service and they would not allow food from buffet to leave the seating area.

We went for 7 nights for a girls trip. This resort is advertised as family friendly and we’ve stayed at family friendly resorts before but this was very family friendly. The areas marked as adults only still had children. Our room key card had to be changed 5 times and they did not offer to change to a room with a working key fob. The pool with the swim up bar was closed the entire duration of our stay, only opened up on the day we were leaving. One night there was noisy construction at 1:30 am. A pro was the cabanas, however you had to get up extremely early to reserve them. The staff were friendly and helpful with a shoutout to Alfredo, Erik, Cooper, and Guadalupe at the omelet station. The food options are quite limited. Only one restaurant does reservations and the other ones are on a first come first serve basis. We’ve had to wait up to an hour and a half to be seated for a group of 6. The lunch shack by the pools had great fish tacos! The hot tub was nice and a good size. The beach was pretty small and if you like to swim in the ocean, it wasn’t very clean which is out of their control.

Great amenities! Place is relaxing.

There was definitely less pampering here than other resorts I've been too. Typically we've been greeted with cool towels and champagne. The restaurants were not good, except for the Rodeo Grill. The swim up bar was not open at all, our entire stay. Some days our fridge was restocked, but most day it was not. Wash clothes were never left by housekeeping. And our room was so loud. Popping and creaking. Never could figure out what it was.

Nice and clean. Very family oriented. Only complaints would be the need for more cabanas, rules to combat people reserving cabanas and not using them, and the pool was closed for the majority of our stay.

Sensira treated our family like royalty. The food was delicious, the pools were refreshing and fun, and the service was beyond friendly and accommodating. I traveled with my 5-year-old and 9-year-old and they had so much fun, they have been thanking me every day since we got home for this vacation. My daughter and I had spa services while my son was in the kids club, which was a special treat. And the shows were simply amazing! Tip: get up early to pick your favorite beach chair for the day, but don't be greedy - if you don't need all of the chairs, leave them for other families!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS RESORT! My husband and I travel frequently. Sensira has to be the worst resort we have ever stayed at! The front desk staff were inattentive and lazy. We had an Amber suite which comes with butler service. The front desk never introduced us to our butler, I seeker him out myself on the second day of our stay. On the day we arrived, our jacuzzi tub leaked about an inch of water into our room and flooded our balcony. The front desk said "it could be fixed." Well, about 4 hours later and no update, I approached the front desk and got a new room because "it could not be fixed." Just not sure why we had to wait 4 hours for a result if there was another room to move into. Throughout the remainder of our stay, we encountered several issues in our room including a broken hair dryer, a broken iron, a broken safe, and the electrical outlet did not work at the bathroom vanity. The pool with the swim up bar was closed almost our entire stay for "repairs." When it did open, there was no bar service at the swim up bar for unknown reason. If you do choose to stay here, plan of waking up at 6am, or earlier, to reserve pool/ beach chairs. I have never stayed at a resort where there were not enough chairs for their guests. If you do choose to stay here and have kids, there truly is an abundance of activities for the kids. However, please respect the "Adult only" areas of the resort, unlike several families we encountered on our trip and the staff does nothing about it.

A Luxurious and Romantic Getaway! Our stay at this resort was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality that made us feel right at home. The service was exceptional—we truly felt like we made friends with the staff, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect experience. The food was a highlight, with the steakhouse standing out as our absolute favorite. Every meal was delicious, and the variety of dining options kept things exciting. While the restaurant décor felt a bit gimmicky at times, the overall ambiance of the resort was upscale and well-maintained, making for a luxurious experience. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and ideal for us as a couple. Even though there were families at the resort, we found plenty of opportunities to enjoy peaceful moments together. The adults-only pool was a fantastic addition, offering a relaxing retreat. And the cabanas—absolute must-haves! We made it a point to wake up early to secure one, and watching the sunrise together from there was one of the most memorable moments of our trip. The only downside was the road leading up to the resort, which had quite a few potholes. However, once we arrived, the resort itself was pristine and beautifully maintained. Overall, this was a dream vacation, and we would absolutely return. Highly recommend for couples looking for a mix of romance, relaxation, and top-notch service!

My wife and I typically vacation in Cancun at an adults only 5-star resort. This year we decided to take the kids [17, 8, & 4]. You cannot compare the two vacations and/or resorts! This is a family resort and should be rated as one. This is not a 5 star, adults only, luxury property. My kids absolutely loved this place, and we have no complaints. It was clean, the staff was great, and the food was very good. The kids loved to pools, zip line, beach, trampoline area, kids club, and ice cream! We plan to return in 2 years...we need an adult only vacation first! I highly recommend this property but do not go into this with the same mindset you would for an adult only luxury vacation.

There are lots of pros and cons with this property. The first thing I will say for anyone looking to book this place, if you don't have kids DO NOT BOOK this place. Some pros: the restaurants (4 total not including the buffet) are good. Definitely not authentic but catered towards tourists (which makes sense). The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are good sizes and the pools are very nice. However, some cons (more cons than pros). If you are a beach gal (I am) then this is also not the place for you. The ocean is very difficult to swim in there is lots of seaweed and plastic (SO much, it's sad). Also, there is NOT enough beach chairs and cabanas, not only this, the beach chairs are horrible, definitely need to be replaced. One thing that also was a bummer was the fact that for lunch there are only two places to eat, the buffet and a shack outside (long wait times). Further, the adult side has No music (it's silent) which was so odd for us. I will say for kids there are a lot of activities and they all seemed to be having a blast (they had music). I will also note that our room had loud A/C and the water smelled like a hot spring (my friends did not have this issue). All in all this resort was okay, I would probably not come back, but if you have kids it might be the place for you. Side Note: the staff was amazing!!

Upon check-in, we initially encountered a somewhat dismissive attitude from reception, but the rest of the staff was friendly and accommodating. The resort is ideal for families, offering a daycare, nightly events like magic shows and music, as well as various activities including a trampoline room, movie theater, table football, air hockey, ziplining, and mini golf. For meals, there are three restaurants, plus a buffet that changes often enough to make it unnecessary to visit the others for short stays. There's also a snack bar by the beach (though orders can take up to an hour), a tea shop, ice cream stand, and two bars. A snack bar near the trampoline area serves finger foods in the evenings. However, I had two negative experiences: stomach issues after eating a medium-rare steak at La Tentazione, and poor quality food at Galerie Des Sens, which was greasy and tasteless. The rest of the resort’s food was excellent. A major issue was with Expedia, as we booked an "ocean view" room, but upon arrival, it wasn’t confirmed in our reservation, and the room didn’t match our expectations. The room itself was cozy with great privacy and a lovely evening breeze, though the shower had weak water flow and took time to heat up. The cleaning crew was exceptional and kind, so make sure to tip them. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, despite a few issues, and might do this again.

Front desk wasnt friendly or helpful at all

We were not aware that there was going to be so many kids at this resort. I heard screaming kids from 5am-10pm.

Sensira Resort is definitely home away from home. I love everything about this resort. The staff was a delight to be around. They were really friendly and helpful. The food was was lovely. Great options. The drinks were also good. I would be back to stay at this resort.

One of the pools was shutdown on second day and remained out of service for remainder of our 7 day stay. You have to get up at 630 am to even get a chair anywhere and earlier if u want a decent spot. Pool bar wasn’t open our whole trip. Poolside food was always cold. Seemed under serviced everywhere. The road in will throw your back out. It is kid friendly but there’s waaay too many kids to relax. We have stayed at multiple resorts in Mx that are kid friendly but this is over the top. The room itself was nice. The restaurants had good food. Buffet was dirty, kids touching food on trays, servers moving food without gloves, cold food. If you’re taking kids and it’s all about the kids this might be your place. I don’t mind kids but didn’t bring any and this was worst of probably 8 resorts I’ve stayed at in Mx. adult only bar was nice. Beach was small and would give it at 4/10. Won’t return myself but if u have kids and you don’t care to relax yourself , it’s probably great.

Very much for families and children under the age of 10. A lot of kids lol buffet was great, restaurants were fine, cocktails were okay. The staff were lovely. But ya definitely for kids! Diego was the valet man/brings you to your room and he was excellent. Great energy about him and super nice.

Pros: small resort so everything was close and accessible - multiple options for kids, IE kids pool, trampoline, etc Cons: extremely under staffed. Check in day I had to wait multiple times for help. Rooms didn’t get cleaned until late in the day. -mini fridge should’ve been restocked daily, only restocked once in a week -food is sub par, buffet food didn’t look fresh and is the only option for breakfast/lunch -3 dinner options, food was just okay Requested crib when booking, followed up 3 times arrival date and finally a fourth to tell them it was too late in the day. The crib was never delivered, my daughter slept with us all week. Overall, unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend it return.

We stayed in the Ruby Suite with a butler. There were 3 adult couples in our party. The room was very nice. The butler was helpful with reservations, but we didn't see them for 4 of the 8 days we were there and we only left the resort once. They communicate only using the app What's App, which nobody in our party has and none of us older folks wanted to try to download and learn to use a new app, so that may have been why we didn't hear from them more often. The resort is a nice size. The basketball and tennis courts are out of service. The safety nets are no longer there. The pools were cold. They were bearable on hot sunny days, but not really the rest of the time, though there were a few people that used them. The hot tub is adults only and was the warmest we've ever had at a resort in Mexico. It was very nice! The beach is not a pretty blue water beach. They work to keep the seaweed out of the sand and the water is warm, but is isn't the pretty caribbean that you might picture. We enjoyed the Knight's lounge in the evening. They provide poker chips and cards and have pool tables and bar service in the evening, so we spent many evenings there after supper. I can't speak for the shows. We didn't go to them. There are LOTS of families with small children. We weren't too bothered by this, but they are everywhere. The food was good. Not amazing, but better than a lot of the resorts we've been too. We've been coming to AI resorts in Mexico for 15 years.

Publicidad engañosa, el hotel está sucio, no cambian las sábanas entre huéspedes, es insalubre, no funciona la alberca, no tienen staff. Estuvimos 5 horas y nos tuvimos que ir a otro hotel

What an amazing resort. I can’t find much to complain about, the property was well maintained, there was a variety of food and staff were very attentive. I can’t wait to return.

This resort is not at all what they show in pictures. Everything is falling apart. Quality of the rooms is terrible. The ceiling fan was covered in dust, bed sheets and chairs were stained, shower smelled like sewer when you turned on the water, pools were freezing cold. Also, the cleaning staff used my toiletries.
