The property is very nice. Restaurants were average nothing exciting, however there was one night that offered a buffet and it had great authentic Jamaican food. Beach access was amazing. Staff was always very friendly and helpful. Room service is provided. Cleaning service is provided every morning. This resort does not attract younger crowds so it was a quiet relaxing stay.

BE AWARE! This was a family trip, and we've been to many resorts, but without a doubt, this was the worst one so far. The location is beautiful—the beach, the hotel amenities—but the hotel staff, especially the managers, were a complete disappointment. I could write an entire essay about what we went through during our five-day stay. To start, we paid for the "privilege" side of the resort, but DON’T BE FOOLED! You have to pay extra just to sit by the water, and even more if you want someone to serve you a drink. Speaking of drinks, if you want one, you’re better off getting it yourself—the average wait time for service was about two hours, and when our drinks finally arrived, they were watered down. In any scenario, falling for the "privilege" upgrade is the biggest scam ever! The extra charges just keep piling up. For New Year’s, they tried to charge us $350 per couple for a tiny high-top table. Instead, we opted for a dinner reservation, but they "offered" us to buy a $60 bottle of wine per couple (even if you don’t drink) at a supposedly included restaurant. To top it off, when we checked out, they charged us for six bottles instead of two. (To cancel the extra bottles from the bill was another nightmare) The staff was shockingly rude—they really looked like they didn’t want to be there. I tried to stay positive with a smile, then tried extra tipping, but nothing worked. They were just unhappy, and I don’t think anyone wants that kind of energy while they’re on vacati

Bought by Hyatt a few years back. Apple leisure group were much better operators. First visit 2023, last visit 2025… never again.

Everything was perfect!

We loved everything about our 5 night stay at Secrets Wild Orchid. The only small complaint we had is that since it was a busy week, there were never enough lounge chairs at the beach. We had to get up at 5:30 am to get a chair and even by then, most were claimed. Just a suggestion to make sure more chairs are on site during busy weeks. Other than that, we had a wonderful week!!!

Overall it was a great stay. The drinks could have been stronger the liquor appeared to be a bit watered down. The beverages also were a bit flat at times. The resort did have a lot of food options and room service was 24/7. The trip all in all was a great experience. Get with The front desk staff (Kim Yan) for excursions, she was AMAZING!! SoSo for pool service, he was AMAZING!! Demar the bellman was AMAZING!! Stephen, also Amazing!! This was my Birthday Trip and we had an amazing Time! I’d recommend that any of my friends or family stay at Secrets Wild Orchids!

The worst hotel i visited . Rate zero

We were supposed to have an ocean view and did not. Our refrigerator did not work. The safe did not work. We called on both and it took a day for the safe and I don't think the fridge ever got fixed. Our room was never fully replenished. We had to call for towels and coffee on a daily basis.

The VIP Butler Service was a surprise and we were beyond impressed with the quality of service and how friendly and accommodating Kenton and Betty were! Top notch! The property was beautiful with so many dining options and live entertainment every night! The midnight jerk chicken cart is a must!!!

My flights to Jamaica were cancelled due to snowstorms 1 day before my departure. The flight schedule would have gotten me to Jamaica a minimum of 30 hours later (once airports reopened). The hotel wouldn't acknowledge that I had no ability to get to the property for my first night (or maybe my 2nd night). I contacted their staff mote than 24 hours in advance of my check in Secrets requires 48 hours notice. That deadline was 24 hours before snowstorms even threatened my state. I understand that they can't always rebook rooms, but a partial refund could have kept a longtime customer. IF YOU BOOK WITH THIS CHAIN BE SURE YOU BUY TRAVEL INSURANCE TO GET SOME OF YOUR MONEY BACK! The property also had a staff walkout 2-days after I was in touch with their front desk. This also compromised their food and bell services for a day or two. I don't know if the property compensated guests for closing some restaurants or the lack of housekeeping and bell service. Other hotel chains in Jamaica had also had similar strikes over the past few weeks, so Secrets wasn't alone. But it seems both its staff and guests of this former AMResort had suffered under new management policies.

Beautiful resort and the staff was very nice. Staff had activities if you wanted to participate or quite areas if you preferred not to. Remone our cabana attendant was great. Restaurants were also great. Highly recommended.

It was quiet - love that. The place was relaxing. The staff were very very very pleasant, helpful, and very fun to be around. We were upgraded to Breathless from Secrets, and it did NOT disappoint. If you do not want to leave the property, you really do not have to. I plan to go back, and this time, I am hoping to get the top package! From my thoughts, to my fingers, straight to the Lord's ears/ears 💕💖💛❤️

The property was clean and well kept.The food options were excellent. Despite all the good things going for this resort, i must say my experience was negatively impacted by the fact that i was constantly given subpar service especially by the servers, maybe because they realized i was Jamaican they were reluctant to offer me the same courtesy i witness them giving to other non Jamaican guests. I get it, but its unacceptable as on my multiple trips back to Jamaica staying at different hotels this has been the worst service by far. Again nice property but ill be choosing a different hotel on my next visit, i am not spending my money to be treated as a second class citizen especially in my home country.

Mature crowd

The majority age range at this resort is 45 and over, lots of friendly mature people. The staff were very accommodating. Imani the young lady that checked us in saw us the following day and inquired about our stay, we had some concerns and she corrected them right away. Teshawna at the blue mountain restaurant went above and beyond to made sure that our food and drinks were acceptable. Loved the pool party and the scenery around the property.

Nice property. But for it to be secerts and an all inclusive the service was pretty poor. The staff was more worried about tips than actual service ( and I was leaving good tips). If you’re young and want a nice party or entertainment vibe this is not the place. There was little pool entertainment and the main bar closes at 10pm. The check in and check out process was painful as it consists of 3 tables, so if your checking in you might be delayed because someone is checking out.

This Location view is outstanding… the food ok drinks watered down …. The 90 minute tour they offer for the romantic dinner took 3 1/2 hours would not recommend… the check in staff was amazing definitely felt welcomed . The check out staff I felt rushed .my room was beautiful I definitely would return

The property was nice and clean. Some of the staff were great, others were rude. We enjoyed some of the food very much. I’m not sure what our upgrade was since our room looked exactly like our friends’ room. And they had no upgrade.

I travel a lot. This was by far one of the worst resorts I have experienced. We received no resort information at check-in. We were expected to “figure it out”. I had to visit the front desk twice to have the room key programmed due to being locked out. The staff was not friendly and service was well below what I would expect from a resort. Food was borderline edible.

They workers were fabulous. Always called us family. Our maid for the week was Marie loved her attention and personality. The bar tenders at the pool were always friendly and upbeat. Joking around and coming up with something different for us to try. They had a pool bubnle party that was fun. Always something to do. Only had 2 issues. But nothing major. Thumbs up to the staff

The property do need some work. The room was clean but in bathroom I seen mold. For 2 days, they were out of wash cloths. The staff was real attentive to your needs. Food was excellent. Their was entertainment every night.

All inclusive are always the best way to vacation

The check-in process was lengthy. They only had one person checking people in. My last night, 2 in the morning, I was parched and asked for a couple bottles of water twice, I waited for 2 hours and never got them.

I stayed for two nights at this property to celebrate my husband's birthday. On arrival, we were directed to the lobby which was crowded with minimal seating. If I didnt ask a staff member for assistance we would be standing waiting to check in forever. There were seats provided on the otherside of the lobby but if we had gone no one would have known we were there to check in. Furthermore we were burning up as the ACs in the lobby and main dinning area were not working well. We liked that the property grounds are well manicured, the food was great and the nightly entertainment was excellent.

We were celebrating our Honeymoon. This resort checked every box from the time we arrived until we left. Food was amazing!! The pictures match exactly how it looks online. We rate it 10 stars.

This was a lovely resort. There was great restaurants and entertainment. It is a good place for couples. Definitely not for singles wanting to meet singles.

The property was located within a 20-30 minute drive of the airport which made it perfect for a short stay. However, when we arrived we checked in and were taken to a room. When we unlocked the door the bellman saw that someone else was already staying the room. He took us back to the front desk to change rooms but no one acknowledged anything about us being taken to an already occupied room. The first room we were taken to had a banner on it that said “welcome member” (I assumed because of the hotel VIP perks) but the second room didn’t. We were a little concerned about security after we were given keys to a room that someone was already in. Very few options for lunch. At the front desk they give you a QR code to download an app but they app doesn’t let you sign in and it doesn’t work. Not sure why they had it at all. They told us to order room service on the tablet in the room and that didn’t work either. It took us half an hour to find a towel and staff sent us to opposite sides of the resort just to find one.

OVERALL GREAT! HOWEVER BRING the BUG spray! I’m a mosquito magnet! I usually never need bug spray at resorts maybe because we had alot of rain did the bugs come out. Maybe the rain was washing away the treatment they spray IDK but we got jacked up! Hotel was nice enough to continue giving me bug spray. The entertainment CHAD away amazing! Junior at the Pool bar great! Kadeen the pool server amazing! Pool life guard super cool! Entire staff was on point at all times. Would definitely come back.

-Upon checkin, helpdesk wasnt very helpful other than trying to sell us spa treatments or romantic dinner. -Salad dressing was runny like water. -All bar staff was great. -restaurant menus were limited other than the World Cafe (buffet) -Tablet assigned to our room did not work & IT took it & never fixed it. -Room service was over 2 hours long. Food was good but not hot. -Information on app was inaccurate as far as restaurant availability times.

I said I wouldn’t lie and say Jamaica is beautiful. The resort yes , the people yes , but right out the gates of the property. Wakes you up to reality around the world . I did see a roach on my 3rd day , I choose not to call and complain for the simple fact , it feels impossible to think there would not be one . Other than that 10/10 .. I went on my tours and everyone (americas) complained and complained about other property’s so I believe it is the best property. Many people raved about wanting to stay there but it was so expensive.

This was an OK resort, probably wouldn’t visit again. The service at the restaurants weren’t great, the staff weren’t willing to accommodate a large group despite booking reservations, took almost 2 hours to get our food. The drinks were amazing though.

Overpriced “Luxury”

Lovely view of property and the ocean. The jacuzzi in the bathroom was wonderful. The staff was a plus. Unfortunately, we were told there were no irons left, the restaurants were warm, and the mosquitoes were horrible at dusk. Also, there was dust in the top shelf in the closet. The food was just ok, except for the oxtails which were delicious. I think the resort was overpriced. I’ve stayed in other places in Montego Bay that were nicer all around for much less money.

Did not meet the expectation of a secrets resort. Our room was horribly moldy, poorly maintained facilities and the food left something to be desired.

The property was well kept and large but, walkable. Secrets has a few different excursions on the property and off. The transportation available at the resort is nice. The drivers are friendly and helpful. We booked a cab with Mr. Morgan. Good guy! The food selection was good unfortunately, not all the food agreed with me. Nice to have the beach just a walk away from your patio. It was truly a paradise. Loved my time there

After ready so many reviews on so many different platforms i had mixed feelings about coming to stay at Secrets Wild Orchid. but after staying this last week for 5 days im pleased to say it was absolutely amazing. what stood out was the staff. they were amazing i didn’t meet not one unpleasant person through my entire stay. the staff goes above and beyond and just wow im speechless. everything was amazing, room service took alittle long but even when it did come it was still fresh so maybe they were backed up? The only downfall i would say is a personal one which if you’re a private person even away from your partner this isn’t the place for you. the bathroom is in the room and not closed off besides a glass door lol other then that views, food, vibe and everything was amazing. if you’re looking for a calm resort and for a relaxing baecation come here!!!!

Staff was not friendly, check in process was very slow, room service was horrible, shower was not clean upon arrival, television wasn’t working. Overall stay was not pleasant. Definitely will not return!

Property was nice. However our first room, the shower head was broken. We were quickly moved to a new room with a better view so that was nice. The staff was ok. Some better than others. A lot of the bar staff had attitudes and weren’t quick for service. Some were great. I wouldn’t go back.

Dirty place

There was period blood in my first room bathroom, a roach in my second room bathroom and cockroach in the sitting area out side bar manger at preferred club was nasty and so was receptionist Latayvia. There were several hotel workers whom went above and beyond to rectify my issues Ashe, Torrey, Shanice, and Tyona.
