Walking distance to Blues train; friendly reception
Great location. Try local fish and chips across the road. Yummy. Friendly staff
Great location, super friendly staff and a charming property.
Old style guest house. Charming and quaint. Great location close to beach, shops and eateries.
I love the guesthouse experience, interacting with the fellow residents. However I am not sure Aussies get it. It was nice to see this old building well maintained.
Very clean .. Tania very welcoming showing us around the guest house . . Good weekend ..
Really old and unkempt - would've given leeway, but it was quite expensive.
Lovely Guest house in the main street. Just 10 mins walk to everything. Very comfortable.
Cosy & a great location
It's not new nor modern, but Queenscliff is a quaint, historic destination anyway. Room was big enough for two,had a clean ensuite & a comfy bed. Hosts too were nice on arrival, what else could you ask for apart from a good rate. Well this too was at a great price, so 2 thumbs up!
Charming, Comfortable & Clean
Pros - Friendly and welcoming staff who showed us all the facilities, common rooms and took us straight to our room. - Convenient location - Beautiful building. Lots of art. Home feel. Cons - No lift - Parking can be difficult to find if arriving during mid to late afternoon where the town is buzzing with visitors.
The staff were very attentive and welcoming, while we found our fellow guests relaxed and interesting.
hotel is clean due for renovation
hotel room was clean , facilities good , short walk to shops & restaurants, building is getting tired and could do with update , no designated parking area available {on street parking only} staff are very friendly overall a good experience
We enjoyed the old world charm & our friendly hosts.
A nice hotel with lots of character. In a great location, close to shops and restaurants.
Blues Train Accommodation
Great place to stay if you are heading out on the Blues Train, can walk back to accommodation. People are very friendly and helpful. If you like rustic and appreciate historical architecture then this place is for you!
Older style charming guest house with all comfort
Great everything you need without the modern 5 star experience
Friendly, comfortable and historic
Lovely guesthouse in heart of Queenscliff . Welcoming and helpful hosts. Beautiful old house, very comfortable room. Would definitely return
Overnight stay
Very quiet and comfortable, although quite small and pricey.
Olde world boarding house
The old building was beautiful but the rooms were quite small.
Chilled holiday
Relaxed and rustic, Perfect no-fuss getaway. No glamour, but plenty of country warmth and welcome. Great for Blues Train participants, as we were.
Friendly staff and homely feel
Staff helped with minor problem in friendly way. Room very nice. Local area has nice shops, cafes and several interesting attractions.
Old style guest house
Charming old building. Amenities a little dated. Restaurant not operating. Close to cafes, other shops. 10 mins stroll to pier and beach. Cheap meal at bowls club 5 mins
A IGHT AT THE SEAVIEW
suited us for the night. however my husbands towel was falling half when he went to dry himself after his shower. never mind he did manage
Excellent hotel with good facilities, friendly staff and clean and tidy rooms. Most of the rooms are upstairs but this is fine. Plenty of activities to do locally and there are many good places to eat just down the road.
Keeping up appearances
For an historic building, retaining most of its original features, the room I had was very clean, comfortable and warm. What's more in cold and rainy weather, it was bliss, having an electric blanket on the bed. The en-suite was modern and well appointed.
Comfortable Guest house
Made to feel welcome by friendly staff with attention to detail and staff ensured that we had everything we needed.
Did not enjoy our stay could not get our favourite TV programs could not turn off tv . Door handle to room about to fall off bathroom far too small door hitting person on toilet no fridge no table in room to work off . Not good value room and bathroom far too small for what we paid for .
Beautiful queenscliff
Lovely old building but small room. No comfortable chair to sit on in room
Warm and cosy bed. Pleasant reception area. Lots of history throughout
Very cozy place!
I spent two nights in this lovely hotel and was very nice! Clean, comfortable with a very nice staff! I really want com come back that to send another great weekend!
Old style guesthouse with some quirky charm
On the small main street of Queenscliff, close to cafes and restaurants. Historically charming, out of season.
Great place in a great little town
Old charm and wonderful helpful staff. Would recommend to anyone
Fantastic guest house
Owners Helen and John were amazing. Helen stayed up until after 11 pm as we were delayed, to greet us. Our room was gorgeous. Fresh towels every day. Our bed was also made daily. Beautifully kept with all the old world charm of yesteryear. We would highly recommend Seaview house and will definitely be returning in the near future
Wonderful Location
Wonderful location and good facilities. Could have done with a fridge in the room, but there were communal ones.
Nice hotel, central to everything
The hotel was clean, staff friendly, close to town, beach and ferry
Unique stay in Queenscliffe
A quick one night visit to Queenscliffe and an opportunity to stay again at Seaview House. We enjoyed it's wonderful ambience again and will return.
Quite clean hotel
Comfortable bed !
Convenient and clean accommodation
Greeted by friendly staff and enjoyed our stay in this quaint and historical building that was clean and comfortable
Good experience, nice friendly staff and ok facilities. Would stay again.
Seaview B&B
Helen and John were superb as hosts, really felt like family and not guests. The rooms we were allotted were quite large with very comfortable beds and clean and tidy. Maid service is provided for the longer stays. The venue is quite old but doesn't have the appearance of neglect; very English B&B. No meals are available but there are plenty of dining options. There is a very good restaurant for dinner at very reasonable cost.
Nice hotel near to beach and lookside
It was a short stay but impressed with the interior and comfort.
Beautiful victorian old house!
Excellent location, you ca just walk to shops & restaurants. Clean & comfortable room. Old style Victorian house but very well maintain.
Lovely queen size bed, clean room with it's own bathroom, character guesthouse on Hesse St.
Able to walk to the Blues Train
The room and facilities were great, very comfy. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The hotel was good except we would have like full control of the heating. The night we stayed it was very chilly, a bar heater was provided but it was under powered for the size of the room. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay here. Ali
Nice old syle hotel in Queenscliff
We stayed overnight at this old style hotel. Nice clean room close to all facilities . Cosy room and enjoyed our stay
Very pleasant stay
Our hosts, John and Helen we're welcoming, informative and helpful. The hotel is typical of the buildings age, so creaky wooden floors and winding corridors, all adding to the charm. Our room was comfortable, good mattress and pillows and bathroom facilities, and if was quiet so great for a good nights sleep.
Quaint but over priced
Quaint old period property. Basic room and quite overpriced. However it is Queenscliff. Bed was very comfy and location excellent.
Lovely room with very friendly and helpful staff. Right in the middle of town.
Quaint little place!
Very quaint little place. Met all needs that was required. We would stay again.
Will definitely stay here again.
This hotel is in a great location in the main street of Queenscliff. Lovely building with plenty of character. Guest lounges both upstairs and downstairs. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable beds.
Good little hotel. Reception was unattended most of the time and would have been nice to have Foxtel in the rooms instead of just in the guest lounge which you can't watch TV past 11pm. Otherwise a nice stay.
Lovely Guest House full of character and charm.
We had a lovely stay, Helen was a terrific host, so helpful and pleasant. We were in walking distance of everything, and had all the comforts of home.
Not a B and B
It was disappointing to find that Seaview House had leased out its dining room and that this was closed on Monday and Tuesday. I booked this accommodation believing it to be a Bed and Breakfast option but they do not seem to do breakfasts at all. It was pleasing to be offered a $10 per person breakfast voucher for a restaurant close by but this hardly compensated for having no access at all to the dining room. Generally the facility was clean and a bit quaint but not an ideal location for a person with a disability. The host assisted getting our heavy cases upstairs but we left many bags behind because access was inconvenient. There was no adjacent car parking on arrival but we were able to move the car closer later.
lovely so close to the main part of town
really loved the guesthouse old world good location and clean
Warm and friendly
Welcoming staff. Room although small had everything we needed and clean. Comfortable bed , clean linen ,lots of tea bags and coffee which is a bonus. Lovely sitting room opening to balcony where we met up with friends. Fridge available for your drinks etc Would recommend this place. Had a good feel as soon as I walked in
A great weekend get away
Rooms are clean and well presented. Bedding is rather firm. Rooms we have stayed in are small but we did notice slightly larger rooms.Bathrooms we had the first time were large and well maintained , this time around the bathroom was small and desparetly need timber and painting. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. This guest house is in a great location . A definite is the restaurant down stairs, we had a really enjoyable meal.
Loads of character, lovely setting
Our hostess Helen was very accommodating, given that my suitcase arrived before I did (I was running late for an appointment) and she had no idea when I would turn up after...The building is beautiful, great position, lovely rooms, all very relaxing. Very friendly host and staff, lovely short stay.
A step back in time.
What a classic old building! If only the walls could talk. The location means that everything is very close, and a wonderful little stroll to the marina. Showers were perfect, and dinner at the restaurant is worth serious consideration. All in all a very welcoming environment for a traveler.
Great value with lovely balcony in upstairs guest
Rooms slightly dated (no Aircon, ceiling fan) though very comfortable and super friendly and helpful staff
Close to everything
Had booked a room above the standard room, was not value for money, better value at motel across the road and at least $40 less. I had thought I be getting value for money at the Seaview
Great location
Enjoyed our stay close to shops and beach and marina.
Great
Great
Go back in time
We enjoyed our time at Seaview House. If you are after a modern sleek streamlined hotel then you might be best to look elsewhere. However if you are after going back to a time when life was simpler then I highly recommend this hotel. The word my wife and I used was "Quaint” The house was full of history and the feelings that it brought out was to go back in time to an era that no longer exists. The room was small but with its high ceilings did not feel cramped at all. We spent three days in total and we thoroughly enjoyed our time.
Old style hospitality
The Seavirw Guest House is an old style hotel with all the basic facilities & comfort one needs - comfy beds, clean bathroom with good shower. An upstairs lounge withTV & balcony is lovely & the downstairs lounge is homely with everything one needs to relax, have a hot or cold drink, a biscuit & even a glass of port! Our hosts were very friendly & hospitable, with that old style personal touch
Close to everything
Great location , quaint building/room. Only complaint would be that they turned off the aircon at night so our room did get quite hot and the fan was very noisy on high. But over all it was good.
Lovely old fashioned guesthouse. charming !
Charming friendly hosts made our stay very enjoyable. Loved the atmosphere!
Pleasant Stay
Just an overnight stay. Hotel and staff great, great breakfast.
Lovely stay, would highly recommend. Comfortable.
good location
Everything was well arranged as we arrived on christmas day & staff weren't present , the room we were given was probably the smallest on the floor, unusual as none of the others were occupied? Also, whats with the square sheet dispenser toilet paper, I thought that was the public caravan parks domain! Sometimes its the little things that make all the difference.
Nice hotel with friendly staff
Had a very enjoyable stay - a good base to go and see the Day on the Green concert. If we had done our research then we could have got the bus! Nice relaxing weekend on the Bellarine Peninsula.
Over night stay
Over all, a pleasant stay
Friendly hotel in the heart of town.
All the staff were very warm and friendly and were only too happy to advise us about things on offer in Queenscliff. Our room was clean, cosy, bright and comfortable. The hotel has a wonderfully peaceful ambience.
Had a lovely stay and would go back again. The hotel had a lovely old world charm about it and was very comfortable.

Our stay at Seaview House
Although a beautiful building from the outside, the Guest House is looking a bit tired on the inside. We never saw a single person neither hotel staff nor another guest during our stay, which made for a rather strange experience. The room was small but reasonably comfortable, the bathroom was a good size. Wifi ok, but not many power points in the room. Queenscliff itself is a gorgeous old-style Australian town with some interesting shops and beautiful buildings.
